Matt was a beer legend! We booked the full day tour but due to insufficient numbers were offered the half day tour instead. And it was probably for the best given the amount of high quality beer we were given. Trust me when reviews say you will not go thirsty - you won't. Matt our guide was a legend. Funny and engaging - and boy does he know his beer. We learned so much about the craft beer scene in Brisbane, visiting 3 breweries and sampling 14 different beers along the way.
If you are in a couple, small group or by yourself, this is a MUST do activity for anyone when you visit Brisbane.

Awesome Beers 🍻 The tour itself was fab! Matt was a mind of information and the beers were awesome! Fun day with lovely people. 100% recommended. My only bugbear was booking thru Viator and their outrageous exchange rates! €1.18 / AU$1 😱🤬 The current rate is €1.67 / AU$1 - not good @viator! Left a sour taste to an otherwise fabulous day. Great way to spend the day! This was a great tour. We had a private tour with only our 2 couples. Matty was our tour guide. He was fabulous. We learned so much about beer and brewing. We went to 3 breweries. The first brewery had 6 tastings, The second brewery had 4 and the third had 4. Each tasting was about 4 ounces. He encouraged us to step out of our comfort zone and try new beers which was so much fun! We had more beer than we could even drink! Matty was a fountain of beer knowledge. Great day out to start a Bucks party I've been on a few brewery tours in the past, but this one was hands down the most informative and relaxed experience I've had. Even though some of the guys were your typical "XXXX-only" drinkers, by the end of the day, they were all sampling different beers and really enjoying the variety. I think we all walked away having learned something new!Our host, Matt, was fantastic—super knowledgeable not only about beer but also about the local brewing scene. Honestly, he could have easily joined us as one of the crew.
A solid 5 stars from us! We’ll definitely be back—maybe for a winery tour next—and we’ll be recommending it to everyone we know.

Beer is sick Matt knows his beer and took us through a knowledge rich tour of some of the best breweries in Brisbane. He gave us insight into the history of the IPA, ingredients of beer, styles, proper techniques of tasting beer, took us behind the scenes into the production areas of the brewery, tasted grain, enjoyed the aromatics of hops and even hooked me up with bday cake (cheers Matt)But also beer, so much beer! Variations and styles from ranging pilsner's and coconut infused biscuit beer to lagers and dank hazies. Guaranteed to keep any enthusiast satiated and merry!

Come Thirsty Outstanding way to check out the craft brewery scene in Gold Coast whether you are a beer aficionado or just like to try new things (I’d assume the Brisbane tour is equally well executed).Definitely come thirsty—the beer is flowing. And even come hungry—our lunch at a brewery + pizza spot was next level.
Our guide/ the owner was SUPER knowledgeable, and passionate. This is absolutely the ideal job for him! Refreshing!
The only tweak I’d make is to spend less time at the 4th brewery (or nix it) and do some sightseeing around the area, to get a better feel for the vibe. Or perhaps offer a version of the tour that is a brewery + food tour.

In terms of the 4th brewery, we do have a shorter half day tour that can also include lunch on request for those who might find our full day outing a bit long (and a bit boozy), however I don't think we'd foray into sightseeing tours as there are plenty of operators who provide this (we don't want to step on toes) and our passion is in the beer and spirit game.

Birthday Treat! Went on the tour as a birthday treat from my wife. Visited 3 breweries over 4 hours and tasted 14 different beers and cider. That's about 2 litres of beer so was a bit tipsy at the end! Our guide Matt was friendly and knowledgeable and went out of his way to accommodate my special request to visit Madocke Brewery - owned and run by a Belgian couple who brew Belgian-style beers which are my personal favourite. Matt picked up everyone on time as scheduled and dropped everyone off at their hotels at the end of the day and even provided a birthday cake for the occasion, A must do if you want to sample what Gold Coast breweries are offering. Another great afternoon This was my 3rd tour with Hop On, and like the others it was excellent. Matt made everyone so at ease that our disparate group of drinkers were exchanging friendly banter immediately and enjoying a collective experience. Great fun! Fantastic experience! Matt was so accommodating and knowledgeable. Best beer tour we’ve done - twice! We did this tour with Matt 3 years ago and as good as he was we were delighted to be escorted by Joslyn on our second tour! We booked this via email and the communications were great. Matt and Joslyn put a special tour together for us to ensure we visited new breweries and sampled different beers. We were in a small group of 5 + Joslyn and all got in really well, tasting plenty of great beers along the way.
If we lived locally we’d be doing this tour 3 or 4 times a year. Well worthwhile and excellent value for money. Go on, book it, you definitely won’t be disappointed!

Fabulous Tour Matt was a fantastic guide, full of great beer information and really took an interest in what each of us liked. We actually learned some things about beer on this tour that we have not learned on any other beer tour we have been on. It was a small group (only 6 of us) so it was really quite personal and Matt ensured he catered to all our likes. It was super fun and OMG, the beer was terrific and plentiful. Amazing and Informative Afternoon Matt did a fantastic job with our bucks party. We had a good spread of people in terms of beer knowledge and there was a bit of everything for everyone.
