Paradise Resort is incredible! Super kid friendly, amazing staff and customer service! Huge shout out to Tia the reservations manager! She deserves staff member of the month. Everyone is just so kind, so much to do and no reason to leave the resort!

Horrible !! Unfortunately it was not a great experience for us. We were in the Captains Quarters, facing the waterpark (worst ever!).
We had a 2 room on the 3rd floor. It was so run down!! We paid over $2600 for 4 nights, family of 4 and it was absolutely not worth it.

Our back door could barely be moved to open to our balcony it was so heavy and worn out, no fans, no exhaust fan in the bathroom either which made all the towels in a constant state of yuck, the tv remote in the second bedroom was taped up with electrical tape over the batteries and it could only turn on/off by the powerpoint, dust all over the curtains, not even a toilet brush or something to clean the toilet, carpet was gross, door handle to the bedroom was broken and the door barely shut, the noise from the pool area every single night from either a movie or music was horrible!! From 6:45pm-9:30pm it literally was like a nightclub inside our room and none of us got to sleep until 10pm every night (kids are 6 and 2.5, it was a nightmare!), couldn’t just relax before bed because it was so loud it sounded as though it was in our room, toilet paper holder was broken, they literally came in and cleaned and made the beds and took the rubbish ONCE and then never again. We never got to use the pool and waterpark because it was so packed or “reserved” there was no where to sit, you had the PAY to use the train, build a bear, etc (after paying that much for a room I’d like to think even a simple train ride would be included but nope!), the food from the restaurants there was horrible and expensive!!

We were meant to check out Tuesday September 16th, but we checked out Monday morning (the 15th) as we were all just over it and tired from no sleep from all the noise. When I let them know at the front desk that we were checking out a day earlier then we paid, the girl at the front desk said “ ok, I need your room cards. Have a great day!”.
That’s it. Didn’t get asked why, didn’t get asked if everything was alright with our stay.. nothing. No offer of a refund for leaving early (never expected them to offer but still..).

I advise against staying there!
Not worth it.

Stay somewhere else and go use the water park somewhere else!

If you have kids, this is the place. Paradise Resort exceeded all expectations from the moment we arrived. The facilities are outstanding with beautifully maintained pools, exciting kids’ activities, and plenty of entertainment for all ages. The rooms while convenient and spacious are dated and with lots of step hazards! Lots of un-even door trims and steps for both adults and children to easily trip over… in saying that… the staff and service are absolutely amazing and I couldn’t fault them! Beautiful, friendly entertainment staff, food is always quick!

5 Night stay including Dreamworld and sky lounge pass…..
This hotel is probably the closest thing kids will get to a P&O cruise on land. Everything you need is here: a large pool area where you can relax with a bar drink from your sun lounge while watching the kids play safely in an enclosed space, plus food options and a kids club.

The rooms are neat and practical rather than glamorous, but the shower pressure is excellent. It’s about a 20-minute walk from Surfers. Dining choices are limited to the on-site restaurant, a pizza place, and a Mexican spot.

My five-year-old had an absolute blast, which made the stay well worth it.

Absolutely love staying here with the kids, book through the resort and you get a free kids club pass! Which was great for a quick little kid free break yet they still get to enjoy to fun! I few things I would suggest that could have made it a little better would be having ventilation fans in the bathrooms, heaters in the pool area/ eating area for parents and other guests who may not be in the pools running around as it gets quite fresh quite quickly in the chillier months due to the sun disappearing behind buildings: over all it’s a very kid friendly fun place to stay! Especially with the tram just one street away we were able to go on adventures without dragging the kiddies to far

We had the best time. Staff were all super friendly and helpful. Kids had so much fun at kids club, baking and cooking, making teddy bears and playing kahoot and the waterpark. The early check in and super late check out was absolutely awesome, meant more time for fun. Delicious food and the room was fantastic, great location and so happy we decided on a larger room this time. Kids club is great. We had a date, while the kids were having supervised fun and making new friends. We didn’t want to leave.

Greta mini break! We went for a 3 night mini break with our three kids and we had a great time. The kids loved the water park, the slime making, they made their own bears and Vini made the carousel and train ride extra fun. The food was great, especially the loaded fries, chicken tenders and quite a good continental breakfast. The only negative was a few badly behaved kids splashing adults but their parents are to blame there. excellent trip and will be back!

We recently stayed at Paradise Resort with our four young kids (all under the age of five), and it truly exceeded every expectation!

From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. A huge shoutout to Lucas and Rafael from the hospitality team – their service was exceptional and really made us feel taken care of. They went above and beyond to ensure every meal and moment was enjoyable.

The food was fantastic with so many options to please even the fussiest little eaters (and the tired parents too!). Between the buffet, cafes, and snacks by the pool, we were spoiled for choice.

The entertainment was nonstop and perfectly tailored for families – from water play areas to kids’ activities and shows, there was never a dull moment. Our little ones had the time of their lives, and we loved seeing them so engaged and happy.

We stayed in Dusty’s Deluxe Digs, and it couldn’t have been more ideal for our family of six. The room was spacious, clean, and well thought out for families travelling with young children.

We genuinely couldn’t recommend Paradise Resort more highly. It’s a place where both kids and parents get to relax and have fun. We’re already planning our next visit!

July 2025 holiday Our family had 4 rooms at Paradise Resort from 28/06/2025 until 04/07/2025.

Room 3225 urgently requires a new mattrass on the double bed. The current mattrass is old and extremely bumpy. I could not sleep due to all of the springs poking me all over my body. Worst of all, imagine being dead tired on your first night and finding pubic hair in your bed when you just want to sleep. The room had a strong bleach smell. The drains also need decent cleaning. When using the shower - bubbles would come out of the floor drain in the bathroom.

Room 1302 smells strongly of urine - the room is unlivable with this smell.

The seating area at the reception play area also smells strongly of urine.

The food was average. The toasters are either warmers or incenerators at best. You either get warm bread, or charcoal toast.

Entertainment for kids was good. The kids enjoyed the pools.

The ice skating was only available once, and did not have enough space for all of our kids. This was disappointing.

We were fortunate to do activities outside of this resort most of the days but at the end of the day you want a clean, comfortable bed and a clean room for a comfortable nights' rest.

Absolutely Terrible Unfortunately, our stay at the resort was quite disappointing. The facilities were extremely dated and in need of refurbishment. The layout felt overly compact—amenities like the pool, water slides, playground, and rooms were all tightly clustered together, which made the environment feel crowded and far from relaxing.

Noise was a major issue. The walls were very thin, and we could hear everything from the neighboring rooms. Additionally, all the rooms faced either the main road or the pool area, both of which were consistently loud, making it hard to unwind.

Cleanliness also left much to be desired. Our toilet had an unpleasant odor despite being "cleaned" daily, and there were visible smudges around it. The lobby had a strong, unpleasant scent reminiscent of a daycare—unfortunately, not in a comforting way.

The on-site dining options were underwhelming. The food was basic and generally poor in quality. Although the resort advertises a wide range of kids’ activities, they were often booked out quickly, making it hard to participate—especially if visiting with a group.

The kids’ club was located in a dim, underground space with very limited natural light or outdoor access, which felt uninspiring and uninviting for children.

If it weren’t for the fact that we were staying with friends, we would have checked out early and looked for alternative accommodation—it was that disappointing.

We had the best time there! So great for families. The rooms were clean and spacious. The staff were all very friendly. The daily activities was the best part the kids and adults were kept entertained all day, the adults loved playing bingo and trivia while the kids enjoyed the water park. There are a lot of extra expenses like ice skating, laser tag but the kids didn’t need to do them as they were busy enough. Water park and pool was heated enough for them to enjoy in May.
Short walk to the beach. Kids loved the dunk tank too!!

Our stay was honestly wonderful. We initially had booked for a week but later extended a few more nights.
We stayed in a superior room with the two queen beds which was perfect for our little family ( toddler and infant). Our room happened to be facing the large waterpark - we didn’t find it to be loud or anything. The pool closed around 9pm so everyone else was in there rooms. It was quiet and tranquil.

There are so many activities in the actual resort that you don’t have to leave if you don’t want to, Including the water parks, pool, spa, indoor and outdoor playgrounds plus all the activities they host during the day.

The restaurant onsite is nice if you don’t want to go out to eat. Catching an uber or walking is super easy and convienent. We did drive and paid for parking at the resort.

I can’t fault this resort, it really is perfect for the kids and the parents. The days that we just spent at the resort were the most relaxing for us.

Great time! 5-Star Review for Paradise Resort – A Fun-Filled Family Escape!

We had such a fantastic time at Paradise Resort – it truly lived up to its name! From the moment we arrived, the energy was upbeat, family-friendly, and full of excitement. The Family Room was a standout – nicely updated, spotlessly clean (huge thanks to the housekeeping team!), and we especially loved the air conditioning in the second room, which made all the difference for a comfortable stay.

The activities available for kids and “kidults” alike are next level – there’s always something happening, and it really helps keep the whole family entertained without ever needing to leave the resort. From water play to games and themed events, there’s something for everyone, and the vibe is just pure fun!

A huge shoutout to some of the amazing staff who really made our stay extra special – Italo, Hannah, Caddie, and Winnie from the Entertainment Crew were simply incredible with the kids. Their energy, kindness, and ability to make each child feel seen and involved was truly heartwarming. The whole team across the resort was helpful and friendly – a real credit to the Paradise Resort crew.

The only area that let the experience down slightly was the food and beverage side – while the meals themselves were tasty, there were a few hiccups with incorrect orders and needing to chase things up more than once. That said, it didn’t overshadow the overall experience, and we’re hopeful this is something that will improve.

We’re already planning our next visit – and fingers crossed the long-awaited Adults Retreat is up and running by then. What a perfect addition that would be to an already amazing family getaway!

Can’t recommend Paradise Resort enough for families looking for fun, relaxation, and quality time together. See you again soon!

Surfers paradise hotel apartments We had a 2 bedroom apt , full ocean view , full kitchen, right on the beach. All the amenities of hotel but we had a apt. Too cook. Any thing we needed we would call the front desk and they would deliver. The beat beach right in front of hotel. Great king size beds with great linens.

Old mouldy and expensive If I could pick 0 stars I would. $350 per night for old rooms, no air conditioning in the main bedroom, only 1 tv worked, the list goes on. The spa was jam packed and looked unsanitary. You shouldn’t have to slum it having toddlers for this exorbitant price. Going to a better hotel for the money and visiting a water park would be money better spent! Never again.

Not as good as last trip, but pleasant. We come to Gold Coast atleast once a year to visit family but until now we’ve never stayed in the same hotel. We stayed at paradise resort last year and were so impressed we booked again for this year. I was a bit disappointed with this trip. Last year we booked a package through Jetstar and stayed in the recently updated ‘Dusty’s digs’ this year ‘captains quarters’. It felt much less of an experience this time around.
The room its self is ok, but was missing basic things that could have made a big difference, extra towel hooks, more shelving, a floor lamp or extra lighting, a toaster, cutlery etc. The beds are high and have hard grounds (last year my 3yo fell out hit head head and had a concussion, vomited for a couple days during our stay, not resorts fault but just be pre warned to hire a bed rail, or we used a pool noodle under the fitted sheet). Good aircon, good TV, microwave and fridge is great. Great they have a toddler step in the bathroom. Good size room. Comfy beds. Good positioned power points.

This section of the resort is due for upgrades and our balcony was so unpleasant we avoided it. There was also rotten wood in our room that had just been painted over.
We are in room 3301 and the light from a nearby hallway was shining into our window all night meant our 1 year old was constantly waking up thinking it was morning. We didn’t have one decent night sleep during our stay.

Last year they put a program on our bathroom mirror of all the daily activities, which was really awesome. Didn’t have that time around and was more difficult to find out what was happening. It was nice last year to huddle around the program and talk about what we could do as a family.

The daily activities are so fun and we all enjoyed them!
The ice skating, train ride, carousel rides were impossible to get into. Not enough session times available.

Pool area was great but the pool is too cold, all the kids would huddle in the spa. No pool towels, so BYO.

The food was good, even had good gluten free options including burger and pizza.

They are updating a lot of the resort. Adults area is coming, I was expecting it finished this visit but the site looks unchanged since our last stay in May 2024. The Reno’s were not disruptive to our stay at all though.

Staff are all very lovely, Jio was fantastic with the rock climbing, and Mango made slime making so fun.

This sounds all very negative Nancy, I’m just dissapointed compared to last years visit. Would possibly consider booking again next year but would make sure it’s in an updated section of the resort.

Mixed feelings I think if my nearly 3yo daughter could rate this stay, she would probably rate it a 5 out of 5, but I gave it a 3 from a parent perspective.

Pros
Easy booking process and super friendly booking staff who accommodated a last minute date change due to bad weather.

Easy check in and helpful friendly staff.

We got one of the recently renovated rooms and were really happy with the room itself with nice touches like complimentary snacks on arrival and a colour changing neon light the little one loved.

The water park slides although fairly basic, were great and definitely a highlight and suitable for all ages.

The activities we chose for our 3yo included carousel and train ride, slime making, pamper parlour, silent/ glow disco, ice skating and kids club. These were all worthwhile and enjoyed with the exception of the kids club which unfortunately our little one didn’t seem to take to.

The trivia and free kids shows were really well done.

The staff are generally really great with the entertainment staff going above and beyond to make you (and the kids) feel welcome and have a good time.

The on-site pizzas and cocktails were good.

We had the daily continental breakfast and it was good enough for us without being exceptional.

Housekeeping were great with some nice touches for the kids.

Parking was easy and secure (although at an extra charge).

Cons

The general feel of the park is that it is a little dated, however we did have a renovated room which was great and they are clearly in the process of updating the rest of the park which is good, however it did leave us with a view of a construction site from our balcony.

I think the general playgrounds for the kids could be bigger and better for a kids resort.

The on-site Mexican food was a bit ordinary. The burgers not too bad but stale buns. The quality of the penguins restaurant food was ok, however it was expensive for the quality and each course came out before you could finish the previous one. Penguins restaurant is not suitable for a brief mum and dad quiet dinner/ break from the little ones as everyone else brings their kids in. To the credit of the resort, I believe an adults only escape is currently under construction.

As expected, the park was a little too busy on weekends, however if you choose weekdays to visit instead, you will miss some of the best activities and shows.

The ice rink needs some updating and maintenance and was a little underwhelming.

Overall
Yes it is worth coming for the kids as they will love it. Was it great value for money? Probably not quite enough for us to come back again, but in saying that, we adults did enjoy watching our little one have a ball. The only advice I would give a family thinking of going with a solo child would be to try and bring them a friend or ideally another family so they can share the experience.

I would also advise to pay a touch extra for a room with a microwave, plates, cutlery and fridge etc so that you can bring some meals from home to heat up/ make so that you don’t have to eat resort food all the time and have the bonus of saving some dollars!

Disappointing Disappointing. Their marketing team have done a great job with the pictures, don’t be fooled by them! I feel ripped off.

The price we paid for 5 nights was $2010. Rooms were very dated, dirty and smelt. There is tea and coffee making facilities in your room but nothing else. No bowls or anything to make cereal or toast. To fill up the kettle in your room you have to fill in the bathroom sink, very unhygienic. We were in a room the balcony faced the hotel entrance and the main road so very noisy. Hallways at night have kids running around screaming, don’t know where the parents were.

Food at the on site cafe/restaurant is basic, tasteless and over priced. Read one response from staff regarding the food and say their pricing is on par with local restaurants/cafes - yes it is, but the standard of food is not the same. Ordered for garlic creamy prawn pasta one night it was so gluggy and tasteless. Ordered the Aussie burger next night. Description read chargrilled Angus beef. There was no chargrilled and highly doubt it was Angus beef. It was a store brought frozen patty. No healthy options for food. The amount of guests doing grocery runs and ordering uber eats should be an indicator to the hotel that they need to sort out the food situation.

The pool area is so over crowded. No room to play in the lagoon pool, spa had at least 20 people in it at a time sometimes up to 40. No lifeguard. Parents letting their kids run wild not paying attention. Kids bombing into the pool no care for whom they might hit. Food floating in the pool. Chewing gum and food all around the pool area. Constant smell of urine. They have 1-2 staff members monitoring the pool area, they need more for the amount of people using the space.

They do a lot to keep kids entertained which is great and the staff were very friendly. Have to pay extra for ice skating, rock climbing and laser tag. Which is fine but over priced for the time you get and only have a few times scheduled to do extra activities.

I understand they are doing upgrades to the rooms, but for what you get they need to seriously drop the price. It’s a family hotel so would highly recommend a few basics for making snacks ect in the rooms.

Don’t understand why they are making an adults only pool area when there is not enough space for the kids in the existing pool area.

Please don’t just respond with your basic answer that you are disappointed to read this review and will pass on the feedback to the relevant departments. Let people know what you are doing to fix these issues as these are common complaints with your hotel.

Epically disappointing holiday! We called in advance to make sure that the breakfast caters for vegetarians and egg allergies! We were assured that all diets are adequately catered for. When we arrived we double checked as there were 8 of us including 4 kids. When we attended breakfast we found that all we could eat was a very simple breakfast which shockingly, we observed the staff contaminating the few items we could eat with non vegetarian utensils. When we informed the staff we were given vouchers to then order food for the kids separately, which we were grateful for. FABIA, the manager at reception was apologetic and tried her best to assist by giving us the vouchers. We also booked 2 rooms and found the WiFi terrible. We were unable to watch even Netflix as both TVs kept buffering and we were unable to watch anything. We advised the reception. FABIA attempted to swap our rooms where we could access better wifi. While we tried to quickly repack and move rooms, so we didnt waste any more precious time of our much needed break, we were notified by Fabia, that her manager was unable to do the swap except if it was at OUR COST, even though the fault was theirs. She was extremely apologetic,
but could not assist us. We were informed that the internet issue will only be fixed 2 days later after the weekend when we check out.The internet was at 0 Mbps! The weather was extremely rainy and we had no alternative but to be indoors. Having 4 kids in doors without WiFi! Can u imagine!

Paradise for kids, not so for parents. We spent a week at Paradise Resort in mid December and overall, we were not particularly impressed with the place. When we eventually checked in and went to our room (a junior bunkhouse) we found it to be a lot smaller and ill equipped than anticipated. Issues we had during our week were;
*very few power points in the room, and I mean very few!
The kettle was tiny and cheap.
The minimal amount of crockery was all children’s style plastic glasses, plates and bowels.
The hot water pipes in the kitchen screamed with noise when used.
The hot water tap in the bathroom was screwed down so tight it was barely useable even for adults.
**THE HOT WATER SYSTEM IS NOT SAEFTY SET (50c and below) AND IS THAT HOT THAT IT CAN CAUSE SERIOUS SCALDING.
The water pipes on the bathroom are noisy and have a high pitched scream when used.
When the adjoining rooms use their shower, all the water pipes screamed throughout our room as well, so loud we couldn’t hear our TV.
The bathroom vent was filthy.
Very little storage in the room (one small wardrobe with two adjoining drawers.
No bedside tables as such, just a wooden board fitted to the wall on either side of the bed. (Only one side has power).
The air conditioning unit was filthy inside with black mould clearly visible inside the vents. The unit also dripped condensation onto the carpet below it.
The balcony area (3rd floor) was a worry. The concrete was cracking and the wooden hand rails were rotting.
The AC unit and other fittings were rusted.
The TV reception usually went pear shaped around 7.30pm.
The bunk area had one wall mounted fan which was rather noisy (After the initial one didn’t work and was replaced).
We had the quietest area of the hotel and even that was noisy until very late at night.
Prices for food and drinks are ridiculously high. $22 for a smallish pizza and as they only accept cards (no cash is accepted) you’re also hit with a card surcharge fee.

The only saving grace for our child was the water parks, which he thoroughly enjoyed.

Overall, I wouldn’t recommend the place as it’s run down, seriously outdated and needs a big overhaul. I wouldn’t recommend any room facing the pool area if you like even a little quiet time during the day. Our room was 3rd floor facing away from the pool towards Birt Ave and even that wasn’t exactly quiet.

Staff were very friendly, helpful and did their best, but the outdated, dilapidated nature of the resort and the under resourced (rooms) along with the excessive prices ($2,620 for a week) were just too much.

A ripoff The air-conditioner in the room we stayed in did not work we reported it but it was not fixed during my stay, and you could not open the windows. Some of the advertised activities did not go ahead and there was rubbish under the bed when we arrived. The bathroom flooded when we showered as no proper shower screen. A total rip off we paid $2600 for 5 nights.

Great place for a young family getaway. Has a supervise kid activities club for adults to get free time. Pool and water park the children loved. Great location. In house food is of high quality and price fair as on average price elsewhere in the state of Queensland. So far enjoying my stay as part of a social club gathering, where work connections can interact together etc.

What a blast from the moment we arrived was greeted by wonderful and friendly front desk staff. Got an early check in we were staying in a Astro King Bunkhouse the kids lost there minds. We headed straight for the water pack and had a truly wonderful time.

The place is so family friendly and so much for the whole family. We stayed for 5 days and everyday felt like something new. Room had heaps of space however feel the kitchenette could have a few other items like a toaster. Room was very clean and tidy but feel it needed a bit more life in it. Bed was super comfy and giant friendly as I’m 6’10 haha

Breakfast each day in penguins was great to start each day. Kids club was wonderful to have but also all the extras like having a date night.

Everyone was always so kind and helpful highly recommend and can not wait to be back. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We also had to order and pay separate for eggs at breakfast as not included in the breakfast that came with the room. A bit strange. It's just eggs.. could do scrambled eggs like everyone else to go with the ham, veggies etc.

Can’t recommend Paradise Resort enough. We were lucky enough to visit with our 4 year old and 7 month old and had the best holiday/ stay ever! No need to even leave the resort, the amenities were amazing! Rooms were very spacious and clean. The staff went above and beyond and we never ever wanted to leave. The perfect place to stay especially for families! Highly recommend the activities at the activity hub too, well ran an a lot of fun! We can’t wait to come back!!

We had the most remarkable family experience here. What an amazing holiday for my children and I. They (we) were non-stop fun & go, go, go (morning to night). We have fallen in love with Paradise Resort and the wonderful memories we have created here. The additional activities are a lot of fun (free & paid). We stayed for 5 nights but would love to stay for longer next time, AND there definitely will be a next time for us. This is the ultimate children's paradise. My kids did not want to leave Paradise Resort. The service has also been outstanding, giving our holiday that extra special holiday feel and touch. Thank you so much. This was the perfect holiday for a young family. Kids had a blast, we got a chance to relax. Would definitely book again. In house facilities and activities for the kids as well as easy access to surfers Paradise made this a perfect holiday with lots to do for everyone. Our package included a kids club session, which gave us a break. Staff were friendly and helpful. Even provided a stroller for us to take a walk at night. One of the best holidays we had as a family.

Family Holiday without the BIG price!! This is a fabulous resort for a family holiday which kept the kids entertained with various activities the whole time they didn't want to go home!! It gave us parents the opportunity to relax and have a break knowing the kids were having an absolute blast.

Only things I would change is not have the music up loud all day, just have it on some times, especially night when having few drinks
Would also have it so the footy (NRL) is on the big screen for the adults but amazing place over all

Weekend getaway for Airshow Family room was perfect for 6 of us. The park amenities are brilliant for every age group. Waterpark was a hit! Staff were super friendly. We dined in restaurant for dinner and breakfast and service and selection was great for everyone’s tastes in family. Location for the Airshow was amazing- short walk to main beach and centre of surfers paradise. We will definitely be back

Central location, good for young kids Close to everything, resort really accommodating for families. Complementary kids club for 2x kids 3 hours!
Amazing reception staff and easy to check in. Parking literally around the corner for $12 per 24 hours much cheaper than on site. (Onsite was booked out) looking forward to coming back

Best place for families! A whole world for kids! This was our 2nd time to Paradise resort, and both times we have been SO impressed! It is like a world for kids! We went the newer rooms this time, dusty deluxe family room and it was worth every cent! The beds SO comfortable, we all had fantastic nights sleep. There is SO much for kids to do, every night our kids crawled into bed after a day full of fun, without even having to leave the resort! Fantastic location! Kids club is amazing, our kids love it! Ice skating, even a kids Beauty parlour! Very friendly staff! Everything is so family friendly and well thought out. HUGE cocktail list and can’t wait for the adults only area! We can’t wait to come back next year

Beautiful Food, lovely staff, great service, fun activities. Amazing staff and service. Delicious food and many things to choose from. Pool is perfect temperature for babies and the water parks the kids absolutely love. Would definitely recommend the stay at Paradise resort for any family vacations.

Average Paradise A lot of hype around this hotel and while it’s great for kids it wears thin fast!
When I got checked in I wasn’t given all my inclusions with my package so had to go back again after having spent some money already.
Everything and I mean everything is so expensive , the food is horrible I sent back about 4-5 meals, it was cheaper to eat in the middle of surfers paradise then it was to eat here. The little shop everything is tacky and fake but costs about 10x more then in a super market, Staff are nice and friendly and the kids activities are good. I guess they can get away with charging so much as this is a very bespoke resort.
Kids club is strange and they don’t let parents in there to even have a look my kids didn’t like it anyway but good idea just dated. The hair parlour and ice skating need an upgrade badly. 3-4 days is the max you would want to stay here. It was busy in the middle of winter couldn’t think how crazy it would be in school holidays. It’s too expensive for what you get otherwise I would say it was great for kids if it was cheaper. Everyone I spoke to there said they wouldn’t come back again and I would have to agree.

Perfect for families and kids The family room is a good size bathroom a bit dated but didn't make a difference. Facilities are amazing perfect for little kids and teens we had both. Staff are super friendly and ample parking. The next stay will be for longer, as there is so much to do but not in a short stay

The worst hotel ever. The worst hotel I have ever stayed in by far. Music blasting out across the site from 8am until 9pm. How that is supposed to be relaxing is beyond me. The paint is peeling off in the awful rooms which are in desperate need of attention and updating. A very old fashioned and cheesy hotel. Do not stay here if you want to sleep past 8am.

We had fun. The slides are good. But we were expecting the be able to participate in the advertised attractions.
The kids show runs once a week.
The train and rides are not on every day. We were there 3 days and didn't get on any.
The towels smell burnt, and the rooms are run down. E.g. paint bubbling, railing rotting.
Ice skating was fun.

There are enough negatives here that I wouldn’t recommend or stay again. The room we had which was $300 a night was massively overpriced for what it was. It was outdated, dark, smelt and there were stains on the carpet. We went to reception where they moved us to the first floor. This was slightly better but the rooms are still just massively outdated.

The pools and water park are good, but cold and crowded. So while we enjoyed these I don’t think that it’s worth the money to stay there for that alone. Kids everywhere, parents drinking and on holiday from parenting.

My daughter did the bear making workshop which she really enjoyed and the lady was lovely. However, at $55 - I feel like I this and a lot of the kids activities that you have to pay extra for are a bit of a money grab. Maybe $20-40 is a bit more reasonable. Or charge that tiny bit extra and throw in an activity or two - even the train / carrousel ride.

The worst of it is the included breakfast which was the most dismal experience. Pastries, fruit, toast and cereal provided but no hot food unless you pay extra.

This resort has all the makings of something that could be wonderful but let’s itself down by how outdated everything is and money grabbing for everything extra.

I think you can get much better accommodation for the price around surfers.

So glad that we made a decision to try out this resort. Agreed with some reviews that some rooms are yet to be updated. Our room did look tired and dated however it was super clean and the bed was comfy!!!

In terms of how family friendly this resort is I don’t think I have to describe much…
The water park - younger kids can spend half a day there
Rock climbing and ice skating and laser tag - these are all on site, so fun and convenient
My girl particularly liked the hair braiding experience a lot.
Not to mention the kids club - one free session per day was truly a bonus for us as parents.

However what made our trip the most memorable was truly customer service.
We indeed could not believe how clean the place was - even for the indoor playground beside the reception, they do cleaning two times a day! Outside the room - everywhere was clean and was so well-maintained.
Apart from the cleanliness, the exceptional service provided by some of the staff members like Roy and the guy who was in charge of many activities like rock-climbing and laser tag… we appreciated it very much. Their smiles and their enthusiasm have made our stay so comfortable and enjoyable.

Overall - we enjoyed the stay very much.

We had the BEST time at Paradise Resort with our family. We stayed in the newly renovated Dusty's wing and it was wonderful. Very clean and super comfy beds. Our kids absolutely loved the pools and waterpark- we spent hours there!
The restaurants on site were great - the pizza was especially amazing. Staff were all friendly and seemed like they actually enjoyed being there which we appreciated. We didn't use the kids club but it was nice that it was there as an option and other guests told us that their kids loved it. The arcade was fun downstairs. My daughter loved getting her hair braided like a mermaid and doesn't want to take it out! We stayed for 2 nights and got offered complimentary late checkout at 4pm which was so nice - I have never had that at any hotel I have stayed at.
There were several things we didn't get a chance to try like the carousel and ice skating rink so we will be back!
You don't need to leave the resort - everything is there - and Surfers Paradise is pretty run down and not that exciting to be honest.

My family and I recently had the pleasure of dining at the hotel, which we've come to consider the best family hotel in the Gold Coast. It was an incredible experience, thanks to the exceptional service provided by Charlene and Maddie. From the moment we arrived, their warmth and professionalism made us feel welcome. The food was not only delicious but also fresh, and we were pleasantly surprised by the generous portions.

Moreover, Charlene and Maddie went above and beyond to make my daughter's birthday extra special. Their thoughtful gesture of surprising her with a beautiful cake and ice cream truly made her day memorable. Additionally, the hotel's water parks, arcade, restaurant, and cocktails are amazing. Overall, our entire experience was nothing short of amazing, thanks to the outstanding service provided by Charlene and Maddie and the whole staff and team at paradise resort. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend this hotel to others.

Pre book parking. Ask for an upgraded room. Don’t expect any kind of leadership or management from staff. We were expecting a fun and relaxing week holiday at paradise resort - it was absolutely not paradise Booked a large family room - it was extremely outdated. A small split system in the main room only with a small wall fan in the second room, so watch out for the warmer months. we weren’t able to check in due to waiting for maintenance to fix a broken shelf, after 2pm they let us in if we were ok for maintenance to come pop in - absolutely no issue and they never came.. the shelf in the kitchen and the cupboard were broken. On arrival, surprise no parking unless you want to pay $20 a day - there is an option for $6 a day parking down the street but travelling as a family of 5 this was not preferable. Understand there are costs just hate the arrival surprise - this can be simply fixed by emailing or advising when booking. There are adult only areas ie cardio gym but there is absolutely no governance of these areas - kids all over the gym equipment 3/3 times I visited. The arcade one night had kids trying to tip the machines - and the lack of any staff presence means it is constant chaos. Food options are ok, coffee is good. Staff in the cafe area were lovely during the day but both nights we ordered received very rude service. Pool area was out of action for 5 out of the 7 days we stayed here - and obviously a core reason we booked this resort. The blame was on the council for testing but their maintenance and pool management was obviously lacking to have failed the test in the first place. Complimentary ice skating and laser tag was provided - once the kids have done this once, they weren’t interested in it so for 5 days of no pool access it wasn’t sufficient.. What closed off the whole experience was checking out to both front of house manager and general manager - with no ask of “how was your stay” - this indicates a lack of willingness to understand the experience of their guests and reflective on what you can expect when you stay. The MVP of the whole stay was the housekeeping - an absolute gem of a women and I can only imagine what she has to clean!!

Not worth it 4 day trip for a group of 4 families that travelled from all around Oz to celebrate a birthday. Save your money and get a airbnb. Waterpark wasn't working for 3 days. They did offer laser tag session and ice Skating (which we had already paid for) but also had someone with us with high needs so waterpark was the original draw card. Seem to be constant text of what is not working. Rooms are ordinary. Place is dated. Food wasn't to bad, penguins restaurant was average but the remainder were good. We did have a ball with the trivia though, and the kids liked the outdoor movie. Would I go again?. Nope. Just dont post any concerns or negative feedback on their posts on Facebook .they delete them ????

The best family holiday accommodation for all ages The staff are great. Extremely helpful and friendly. It's a great place for all ages as they have activities and facilities for everyone. The kid's club and teens club gives the parents time to recharge without any worries. The public transportation and shuttle services are right at the doorstep, which makes it easier to get the family around the Gold Coast without having to spend time driving in unknown traffic conditions, even the parents can relax.

Great place for the family Fantastic holiday with family and friends. Kids had a blast and the adults had fun too. Food was much nicer than I expected. Cocktails were great too. I was expecting things to be over priced but it wasn’t. Staff were also exceptional. I highly recommend this holiday resort and will definitely be back!!

You get what you get! Room was basic but if you want a fancier room then pay for it. The activities were great, staff were amazing (went out of their way for our little girls 4th birthday), food was good and reasonable price! We loved our stay and will def be back in 2024.

Stay here if you have kids ???? Great set up for the kids , big water park, spa, pool and free and paid activities so your child doesn’t miss out on things, plus try out their yummy slushie cocktails which you can relax with one while your child plays! Buffet breakfast isn’t too pricey if you just get continental. Reception staff are super friendly and helpful! Would definitely stay again and recommend !

Amazing family staycation! We LOVE Paradise Resort! This was our second stay and this time in their newly refurbished rooms, it felt like luxury compared to the older room we stayed in previously - not that we minded as this stay is all about my kids! The staff are so warm and lovely, they all know how to interact with kids. The facilities are amazing! Spent our day by the waterpark, pool & spa and hit up the ice skating at night which i highly recommend. We are local and LOVE our staycation at the Paradise Resort. Already looking forward to our next visit.

Some basic maintenance would make this place heaps better Great facilities, great staff, good food but place is very run down. We paid for the better rooms and they were average at best, would hate to see the older rooms. Concrete coatings around the pool were in desperate need of re doing and would transform the whole area. Plus get the gerni out and give the place a good clean up. Has the potential to be absolutely amazing! Would still recommend to others but hopefully the owner will do some much needed maintenance. Didn’t even bother taking photos from our pool view room as it made the place look like crap

Low budget family resort Don't check-in or stay on a Saturday! My husband, 2 children (2yo +4yo) and I checked into the resort on Saturday to a shock. We walked into a very crowded resort with nearly every second parent drinking either cocktails, champagne or beer . men lounging on the pool beds with literal 6 packs of beer. I'm all for a drink by the pool, but not excessively whilst being responsible for kids. 7.30pm that night I saw 2 grown men fall into the pool from drunkness Staff told me that alcohol can be taken and consumed anywhere in the resort. Pools - We booked the resort purely for the kids (5yrs and under) pool area with a slide. Unfortunately it was closed due to high chlorine levels for the duration of our 4night stay - we understand that can't be helped but it was unfortunate. The bigger kids slides area was fun but if you've got little kids then you need to constantly be present with them on the park. My main concern was all the bigger kids pushing little kids out of the way and being irresponsible. There was a staff member with a whistle that occasional came round to tell off any unsafe behaviour which was good but i felt there almost needed to be someone there at all times. The carpeted pool bed "deck" was covered in mould. Kids activities - I feel this is what made the trip for us. Yes they come at either a $5 or $10 cost per child per activity but it broke up the day. Staff could've been more interactive however. Rooms and resort in general need a complete renovation.

TERRIBLE Rooms: - The room was atrocious, cockroaches on the walls, extremely dated bathrooms and quality of workmanship varying from heatpumps being mounted on the original concrete wall surrounded by a halfassed fake plasterboard wall with no gapping. No safe in the room. No sense of any security, even the extraction fan didn't work in the bathroom which made for a very uncomfortable smell after certain actions in the loo.. - No AC on, on arrival (we've been multiple places overseas and this is just a common courtesy when in hot & humid countries). - Door handle broken completely yielding the door not usable for approx. 3 hours. General: - The noise.. oh the noise. Couples arguing, people partying, foreigners screaming at the top of their lungs, it even drowned out the kids screaming (obviously a kids resort).. - Emergency alarms screaming at 4am and no staff around to investigate, no one to turn it off. After about 20 minutes it was an emergency waterslide button that was triggered. - Cockroaches chasing you around in the middle of the night in the lobbies and outside areas when going for a cigarette. The BIGGEST negative (Which solidifies our reason to NEVER return again): - Security breach. We had a person enter our room on our 2 of 7 day. They entered our room very briefly and exited very quickly also (Approx. 4pm). We brushed it off, thinking they got the incorrect room and double checked in (Looks like it's happened before as per other reviews). We notified staff immediately after this to which shrugged it off and dismissed us. After pushing further, we got our cards reset. Note: Not the door lock. - 2nd security breach. We had a person enter on our last night 5 of 7 (yes you read that correct. We took a complete loss of 2 nights and checked out early - keep reading it gets better). This happened at 1am and we woke up to the door being triggered and someone popping in and back out. By the time we realized, and awoke fully to take in the entirety of the situation, and I got up and ran to the corridor to find someone, but they were gone. We immediately got dressed and went to reception to report this only to be gaslighted by staff and told us it was all a big dream and never happened. (Our daughter (10) awoke also). We arched up and got told to wait until the morning to get the maintenence manager to perform a door test to see any cards being scanned. We had determined this was the last straw, and after staying up all night. We packed our stuff and had it loaded in the car by 8am. Once we packed up, we took our room keys to reception and informed them of our early checkout (Receptionist), she was shocked to hear about it all and told us to wait 60 seconds while she gets the manager. Once Roy had come out of his office (60 seconds wait time) he had amazingly *Insert sarcasm* checked our door lock log and footage and found nothing out of the ordinary. After being told its never happened in his career we were left feeling slapped in the face and gaslit to think we're crazy. I prodded more, to which he gave us his reassurance he will have maintenence to do a 'double check'. This was getting us nowhere and we're humble enough people that didnt want to cause a commotion with people standing behind us, so left it at that. We checked out and left. Sometimes, you just have to swallow some pride and atleast offer your customers some reassurance of a room change maybe? Especially after a security breach, regardless of your personal thoughts of the situation. I hope some retraining of management and processes happen to ensure this whole 'dream' never happens again.

Loved the time we spent at this place. Super family-friendly, clean rooms, plenty of activities for the kids. The pools are open till late and they have an awesome splash area for the family.
Food is also reasonably priced here.

Rooms a bit dated and our view was of a construction site. Breakfast was expensive to add on hot food and it’s not unlimited
Service was great , kids loved the water park, the spa is unsupervised though, could be up to 30 people in it at once.
Location is good, close to tram or about a 10 min walk into heart of surfers. We would stay again but maybe in a more modern room

Wonderful Family Holiday From the moment we got to Paradise Resort the kids instantly had something to do. We have tried everything at the resort and its been amazing. Food is great, Service is wonderful. An amazing place to take kids on a holiday. So much for them to do from morning to night .

I stayed at this resort twice with my family, and we had a blast both times. The resort is designed for families with kids, and it has so many amenities to keep everyone entertained and happy. There is an ice-skating rink, an arcade, a waterpark, a spa, and a kids club. The rooms are spacious and clean, with comfortable beds and beautiful views. The staff are friendly, helpful, and professional. They made us feel welcome and pampered. The food is delicious, with a variety of options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The location is convenient, close to the beach and the shopping center. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a fun and relaxing family getaway.

Paradise Resort is a great choice for families. We enjoyed the amenities and food/drink offerings, and our daughter had a great time in the Kids Club. Unfortunately some of the rooms are quite dated for the price paid and are in serious need of renovation. If you do decide to book here, make sure you know what you're getting yourself into. We stayed just after Christmas and while it was busy, we didn't have any trouble booking into activities, using the amenities or being served in a timely fashion.
