Take a step back in time as we guide you on the Victoria Reservoir Walk Trail in Korung National Park. This historical trail is a 7km loop around the old and new Victoria Dams this hike is perfect for beginner hikers!
As we experience the magic of this stunning trail, we’ll admire the beautiful wandoo and she-oak forests that compliment the granite outcrops and enjoy the views from different vantage points along the way. We’ll admire the amazing valley views, giant granite boulders, open vistas and city skyline views as we make our way along this history rich Perth hiking trail.
We’ll take in the incredible blue waters of the reservoir before moving on to the old Victoria dam for a dose of history. When we reach Australia’s oldest wooden bridge – The Mason & Bird Tramway, we’ll enjoy a delicious gourmet morning tea before finishing our hike with some amazing valley views and boulder hopping! This is a very scenic and interesting trail with lookouts, interpretive signage, granite outcrops and a multitude of landscapes to admire.

Meeting Place: Victoria Dam Carpark, Korung Rd (off Masonmill Rd), Carmel. Small gravel parking lot on RHS before the Dam access gate. Please aim to arrive 15 minutes early to ensure a prompt departure.

I've just completed an unforgettable 7‑day, 8‑night Cape to Cape trek made possible by OTBT. Every moment was spectacular - the views both coastal and headland, the beautiful aromas, the sound of the birds and crashing waves, the feeling of the wind in my hair and of the different terrain under foot. The wildlife—including monitor lizards, soaring nankeen kestrals, and playful whales—all added a sense of wonder at how magical mother nature is. There were lots of wildflowers and many different orchids on the trail all adding to the memorable experience. All in all, it was an amazing, immersive adventure that left me feeling fulfilled. Thank you for the fun, laughter and many memories made along the way to my trail buddies. Finally a HUGE thank you to Sarah, Anji and Tracy from, Off The Beaten Track, for making the adventure unforgettable in so many ways including the food, the accommodation and all the extra little touches.

A truly wonderful weekend of hiking, eating, relaxing (and getting just a little wet). The Southern Forests Weekender Experience really exceeded my expectations, thanks to our guides (Tracy and Elaine) and the excellent planning. They made sure we didn't get caught in lightning or torrential rain and made us feel very comfortable with the pace and length of the walks. Got to see the most magnificent karri and marri forest, beautiful birds, lots of water and interesting fungi, and we ate at some great local venues. The accommodation was very comfortable, and the breakfast basket had everything you could want for a hearty start to the day. The small group meant we were all looked after, and having a guide at the front and back of the group meant no-one felt left out. I'll definitely be booking another tour soon!

Rocky pool walk Right from the start, a perfect morning. The rain had stopped, the water droplets were hanging off the bush, and the sunlight had turned them into crystal chandeliers. The people turned up, and off we went. It was fabulous; we even had morning tea, amazing, very diverse group of people, lots of stimulating and interesting conversation. Serpentine Sunset Soirée We had a great time. My friend and I joined the guided Anji and Laura for the Serpentine Sunset Soirée hike. We started before sunset hiking to a beautiful look out point in time for sunset and were treated to a glass of fizz and platter to enjoy. We learnt lots about the local area on the way thanks to their great knowledge and spent a lot of time laughing. Would definitely join again and had a great time!

I was lucky enough to indulge in the incredible multi-day tour based in Esperance. There were so many highlights such as hiking in the stunning Cape Le Grand National Park where we were ecstatic to be joined by dolphins whilst pausing to eat our delicious lunch. Speaking of food, there was never a moment of hunger during this tour! The catering was superb, as was the accommodation & all of the activities. Two fabulous guides & a small group of friendly adventurers made for an epic trip. I whole-heartedly recommend OTBT for your next hiking experience as they provide a safe & professional service.

Just completed my third multi-day hiking trip with Off The Beaten Track WA, this time to Albany to conquer the Bald Head Trail – something that’s been on my bucket list for a long time.
As always, the experience was exceptional from start to finish. Our guides (Mikey and Kym) were outstanding – knowledgeable, supportive, and full of good humour – which made the whole trip even more enjoyable. We had plenty of laughs along the way, were treated to gourmet food, and even enjoyed some wine tasting on the journey back.
Everything was so well organised and thoughtfully planned. I always feel looked after and inspired on these trips.
Can’t wait to join OTBT for more adventures in the future!

Exhale in the Perth Hills Off the Beaten Track's latest tour offering is an opportunity to not only experience a small section of the Bibbulmun Track, but also incorporates 'breathing work' and pilates sessions. The early morning start brings a sense of serenity and satisfaction as the sun rises across the Perth Hills. It's akin to lying on a granite boulder like a lizard, serenaded by beautiful birdsong, a gentle breeze moving through the gumtrees and the warmth of morning kisses from the sun, reenergising the body and soul. An EV charger for humans! What an amazing way to start a Sunday morning. Highly recommend.

Western Australia Adventure Of A Lifetime We needed assistance with customizing a highly personalized itinerary for a bucket list visit to Western Australia. OTBT was there for us every step of the way and then some. Our interests included outdoor hiking activities, with visits to celebrated landmark locations and local conservation centres, vineyards, distilleries, farms, apiaries, etc. OTBT recognized and respected our inclinations, working with us to craft a trip that would be genuinely life-changing. Thoroughly enjoyed the Hikefit course. I thought the timeslot would prove challenging but after roping in a buddy, we had a great catch up on the way and then a beautiful two hours in nature. We are so very lucky to have such amazing bushland at our finger tips! The guides were friendly and knowledgeable and I think I will definitely be back for another round or two!

Off The Beaten Track WA - Cape to Cape Experience - September 2024 From the time of booking right through to the trip, this hiking experience with Off The Beaten Track was a truly fabulous experience for me in every respect. The structured daily planning, beautiful and high quality accommodation, supremely delicious and plentiful food, knowledgeable and super friendly guides and attention to detail are all excellent and second to none. Add to that the stunning scenery of the hike itself and camaraderie shared by my five fellow hikers and the two guides made this a trip of outstanding enjoyment. I’ve been on multiple adventures with OTBT, including two multi day pack and camp hikes on the Bibbulmun Track. Cannot fault OTBT! Excellent guides, top quality hireable gear if you need it and great communication from start to finish. OTBT was a great way for me to get the confidence to hike, in a friendly small group environment. Exmouth Bucket List Tour I’d never been to Exmouth & saw the bucket list tour - stay at Mantarays, swim with whale sharks, sea kayaking, snorkelling, hikes, sunsets & all the transfers, meals included.I’m not a strong confident swimmer but the partnering tour companies were awesome and supplied life jackets or pool noodles to make me feel comfortable in the deep ocean.
The tours were amazing, the snorkelling surreal and can be summed up as WOW!!! No hesitation in recommending, even if your not a confident swimmer - book it I travelled with my husband who was also impressed and exceeded all expectations

Ningaloo & Cape Range Gourmet Adventure at Off The Beaten Track WA What a trip of a lifetime!! Thanks to Off The Beaten Track for putting together this incredible action packed itinerary! From our first gorgeous sunset views at Vlamingh Lighthouse to our last stunning sunrise from Charles Knife Canyon, this trip was amazing!! The hikes were tough but worth it! Yardie Gorge and Mandu Mandu Gorge!! We got to see wildlife everywhere including Ospreys, bats and black flanked rock wallabies. The stunning Ningaloo reef experiences were even better than I had ever imagined! From sea kayaking, snorkeling, the glass bottom boat trip and the unbelievable Whaleshark experience! We saw whalesharks, turtles, dolphins, dugong, giant clams and so many reef fish! This is a trip I'll never forget. Thanks to our awesome guide Sarah for making this such an unforgettable experience.

Hiking, food & wine - an awesome trip! Have just come back from 5 days exploring the Walpole & Denmark areas. Hiking each day combined with gourmet food at local restaurants at night, luxurious accommodation including massages & use of their sauna & steam room facilities and amazing tour guides (Mikey & Angie). It was social, fun, inclusive, well organized, participant guide was fabulous, hiking tips from OTBT guides and other members were very useful, easy to access and understand. Guide at the fron to pace and challenge you, and guide at the back to keep you going and keep you safe, was fantastic. Facebook photos, videos and updates really validated your achievement each week. I can't think of anything I would change. It was brilliant. I would highly recommend it no matter where you are on your fitness/health journey.

We had the best day with the Sarah and Mikey from Off The Beaten Track WA and Cam from the Maragret River Adventure Co while completing the Cape to Coasteering Adventure!! Staff were knowledgeable, friendly and knew their stuff!! The 4kms hike along part of the Cape track was simply stunning, once safely in the supervision of Cam we rock hopped, swam, jumped our way around the coast before relaxing with a well-earned lunch/beverage at a local brewery. Would definitely do this adventure again and highly recommend both OTBT and Maragret River Adventure Co. Well worth the 5 stars

What an amazing hiking adventure experienced with OTBT in September 2023 - professionally organised with fantastic staff, who are all friendly, knowledgeable, caring and also great fun. It was a fabulous group of fellow hikers and it was a superb hike with sensational views every day. There was a change of plans very last minute for one of the days but OTBT rose to the occasion like a phoenix rising from the ashes. Plan B was tremendous and brilliant organising on the fly - for 16 hikers, no mean feat! Thank you Tracy, Andrew and Paul and to fellow hikers. It will be something remembered and treasured for many years!

Multi Day Pack and Camp Donnelly River Village to Pemberton A personal challenge, wildflowers were still out, rain and hail but what a great walk. Fully supported by Off The Beaten Track WA. What I didn't own I could hire. Food and logistics were also taken care of. I've done a few walks over the years with this company and they always exceed expectations. Awesome Weekend Just did my first hiking weekend with OTBT and it was an amazing experience. Our guides were awesome, helpful,knowledgeable and very conscious of of our hiking ability.Accommodation in Albany was great, very central to cafe's and restaurants where we dined and the food was delicious.
First hike on the Bald Head Trail was challenging but the views were breathtaking.
Our second hike had to be cancelled due to weather conditions but the alternative was organised immediately including our winery lunch. We hiked Mount Hallowell in Denmark and this hike was fantastic definitely a contrast from the previous day and the views at the top were astounding.
We also did a sunrise hike to Point King Lighthouse ruins which was not on our itinerary but our guides went out of their way to get up early to take us and the sunrise was spectacular.
Will definitely do another tour with OTBT

My experience with this company has been that they pride themselves on providing a top rate experience for thier guests. I have been on numerous trips with Off The Beaten Track WA and simply cannot fault them. The guides are all extremely friendly, experienced and more than willing to share thier knowledge on the trails, flora, fauna, equipment and most anything you could ask. I would stop at nothing to recommend this company, if your into hiking or just getting out in nature with other like minded people then this is the place for you. Why not give them a try????

Semi challenging but enjoyable half day hike with food and drinks provided = Win! Had a blast with friends on our hike in Kalamunda with lunch at Core Cider house thanks to our guide Tracy Lindsey from Off The Beaten Track WA for a fun new experience. I’ve hiked that part of the bib before, but never knew of the watering hole we visited, and learnt some interesting facts about the flora and fauna too. Plus fab food for morning tea, lunch and drinks once finished without having to worry about driving home. It was an experience I’d certainly recommend.read moreread less

Beautiful Pemberton hike My friend and I did the Southern Forests Weekender around Pemberton and had an amazing time. Together with 8 other hikers and tour guides Andrew and Kirsten we hiked through beautiful forests, came across an awesome lake, dam, waterfall, cascades and discovered all kinds of orchids, birdlife and even saw a snake that apparently had woken up a bit early in the season. We had so much fun while crossing a bridge that was under water so we had to take our shoes and socks off to cross it! The food we had along the way was very good and it was great to get know the other hikers and Andrew and Kirsten a bit better as well. We shared a 3 bedroom chalet at the Karri Valley with a cosy log fire. I felt so refreshed and energised coming home after this trip and can highly recommend it. We recently took a hike around Lesmurdie Falls with OTBT. It was a team building exercise for an ice skating team. Our guides, Silvana and Anna were amazing! Beautiful walk to Kitty's gorge waterfall Great walk on Monday 26 June 2023 with Tracy leading the hike. Very informative stops along the way with interesting facts given about the area, flora and fauna. Delicious morning tea at the waterfall.
