I turned up thinking I’d be herded into a tourist group (I’m a Brisbane local), but instead I was handed a kayak, signed a couple of forms, watched a quick video, and was soon paddling off on my own. It was a great way to take in the city at my own pace. The staff struck the right balance of being friendly, relaxed, and genuinely helpful. All of that without a single Gen Z stare. Am going back for sure.

We were really looking forward to doing the sunset kayaking in Brisbane. Unfortunately the day we came there were high winds and a strong current.

Lockers, waterproof camera cases (available to rent) and toilets were available to use.

Raj, our instructor, was great. The briefing prior to kayaking told us all we needed to know to get on the water. It was a beautiful evening despite the wind and current, with Raj guiding us safely on the journey.

Would definitely do this again, hopefully with less wind next time.

No show no phone no email reply We booked and paid for a bicycle to ride on the bike path but when we arrived the shop was closed - we could not get a bike and had to walk back up wasting our time and uber ride to the location. I phone the number with no answer and even the voice mail box was blocked. Emails were not returned for days and only when threatened with a poor review did I get a response. To be fair a refund of the paid amount was made with no other compensation. This kind of unreliable and irresponsible arrangement is not something you want on your holiday. Avoid this Riverlife if you want reliability and accountability

FANTASTIC Kayaking trip. I had a brilliant trip down the river with Hanka. She was extremely knowledgable about Brisbane, the history and present. Great communication from Riverlife Adventure Centre.
I would definitely recommend.

We enjoyed a perfect 90 minute paddle on kayaks along the Brisbane river with a small group of 5 led by a friendly and laid back tour guide from the UK on a Saturday morning back in June 2025.
He was accommodating to our different skill levels and we were fortunate to have perfect weather

I hired a mountain bike and rode on the bike paths around the Brisbane River. The bike worked very well and i enjoyed the scenery very much.

Great kayak tour with Raf on Brisbane River I’d like to review the 90 minute kayaking tour which we completed yesterday. It was great, we really enjoyed it and our Leader Raf gave us good instructions and made it enjoyable and safe. Seeing Brisbane from the water is not to be missed! I wish I could’ve stayed on the water for longer.

Rock climbing Kangaroo Point My kids had the most amazing rock climbing experience with Riverlife. There were various routes of ascending grades and so suitable for my daughter and son who are experienced rock climbers and for those who have never tried rock climbing before. The Riverlife team were so welcoming, friendly, professional and most importantly so passionate about their sport and what they do. They really wanted everyone to succeed and have a great experience and this really shone through. I would highly recommend Riverlife.

I booked a kayak to explore the river, but it turned out that I was on a “tour.” Since I was the only person on the tour I requested to just take kayak on my own to explore. But the lady at the front counter said they had hired a tour guide and the only way for her to change the booking was to charge me full price again… one star for being an inflexible organization. I didn’t need to wait 90 minutes for a tour or tour guide, just wanted to take a kayak out to explore.

Absailing with Daniel was a fun and enjoyable way to kick off the weekend.

Awesome kayak and bike ride in Brisbane We loved both experiences , first the kayak tour with Kate was sensational, what a way to experience Brisbane. The next day we hired bikes and rode around the river, also a must do. And so convenient that Riverlife is located on the River loop bike path.

Twilight Brisbane river kayak Had a great time and lots of laughs. Adrielle was our guide and gave clear safety training before the kayaking. He and Lucas ensured everyone was safe on the river and enjoyed their kayak. Highly recommend.

Need more instructors or smaller groups 1 instructor for 9 people, took over 90min before managed to get a turn. Too much standing around and waiting in the hot sun (no shade in area where we were based)
Would be fine if groups were smaller (5max) or there were more ropes and instructors.

Great Kayak tour! The tour was awesome. We could enjoy the tour fun and safe thanks to friendly instructor Daniel. The view of brisbane riverside was great and kayaking was exciting. We could also take lots of photos there.

Our first time abseiling, my husband and I, we were very nervous. Yet Hanka was incredible. When my husband froze i thought he was going to change his mind, but Hanka’s knowledge and confidence in talking him through the whole process, step by step, reassuring him the whole way…. She was amazing. And he made it! And then so did I! She spoke until my heart went from anxious to, “let’s do this!” She was a genius! What an experience! There was no way we would have gone through with this if it wasn’t for Hanka. Made this adventure so much better!

A great outdoor adventure Centre and we had an amazing time. Recommend booking in advance. Make sure to only bring what you need otherwise you’ll need a locker, and make sure you drink plenty of water and to sunblock up.

Enjoyed the Kayak mid-morning guided tour with Instructor Mitch. Thoroughly recommended with friendly service and a relaxed tour. A great way to see the city and river from a different perspective. Booking online was easy and the facilities on-site are great.

Abseiling down the cliff was a great experience and definitely a fun way to spend the afternoon. Lots of fun getting to know the people in your group too as you share your nerves going over the edge! The instructor was wonderful, welcoming, friendly and entertaining, we all felt very comfortable in his care. 5 stars for a unique Brisbane experience at Kangaroo Point 🌟

Went for a sunset Kayak tour, good value, nice and chilled. Great experience to get out onto the Brisbane River and see the city lights. Highly recommend for visitors and locals! Our guide was Luqui very good and friendly.

Scary but exciting experience Such a great experience. This was a 50th birthday group effort. I was very scared but determined to overcome that. My 14 year old was without fear. Will our instructor made us all feel relaxed in the instructional part before we walked up to the top. Be warned lots of steps to get up to the top. We only had 5 in the whole group so it was great, time even allowed for 3 of them to do it twice. Once was more than enough for me to say I'd done it. Will was really good throughout the experience and helped to make us feel safe and gave clear instructions. Definitely a great experience and going off the top and taking those first few steps backwards is not something I'll forget in a hurry.

Great fun! We had a fantastic time on the kayak tour. Alex was a great instructor and had an impressive knowledge of the river to share with us!

I booked an abseiling guided tour and had so much fun! My instructor Matt was very helpful, encouraging and patient. We had a briefing, put the safety gears on before we went to the cliff for the activity. I have done rock climbing before but still a bit nervous before trying abseiling for the first time. Just don’t look up and down while you are doing it. The participants in my group are stars too who gave me a lot of encouragement! I had two go within the 1.5 hour experience (group size 7). Overall it was a great experience I’d recommend.

Also a Great workout for the arms, I loved it! The guide was a really nice man who made the experience very enjoyable. He kindly took photos for us and then airdropped them to our phones. Kangaroo Point Cliff abseiling A really worthwhile and wonderful experience. Tyler was an excellent guide - clear and thorough safety brief, he instilled confidence in both of us, allowing us to enjoy the not so small achievement of walking over the edge of a cliff! Thank you Tyler.

Had a fabulous experience doing the Sunrise kayak. Tyler was great guiding us on the river, how to navigate the ferries and put us in a great position to view the sunset coming up behind the story bridge. Highly recommend. Includes a coffee.

We did the twilight kayaking tour! Was really nice, a wonderful experience, would definitely recommend! We saw an amazing skyline view from a perspective you can’t really get elsewhere. Also the staff; Lucas, Harry and Alex were very friendly and attentive making our experience even better! If you have the time, definitely take a look to see this place and stay for a drink after!

The Riverlife day kayak adventure 14.02.2024 was fantastic! Alex our guide was outstanding, knowledgeable & well-informed.
Our tide time adventure was around past the The Story Bridge and back to Riverlife. The bridge structure was epic to see from water level looking up. Thoroughly enjoyed the paddle on the Brisbane River. Post paddle beverage was good too. Thanks Alex for a great adventure!

My kayak instructor Alec was fantastic! Totally worth the price to have a nice cruise in the river and have a glance at the metropolis while learning facts about the city from the instructors!

Also tried the abseiling and it was such a thrill! Perfect for anyone looking for something exciting!

What a fantastic service we received. Very friendly. Bikes were lovely. The bike path around the river was very nice as well.

FYI- I thought it would be easier to go around the town on the bikes, but with construction and lots of traffic (both people and cars) we ended up sticking to the bike path.

I took my son and nephew for an abseil a couple of weeks ago and also booked them the twilight climb which they did last night. George was our instructor on both occasions and the boys absolutely loved their trip down and up the cliff-face (both kids had quite a bit of experience with indoor climbing and the climb up the cliffs was perfect for them). We were super lucky to be in small groups on both occasions and the boys had plenty of turns up and down which they loved. George was very friendly, knowledgeable and very encouraging of the kids (aged 14) and we all had a wonderful experience. Thanks so much!!

Riverlife Adventures was a perfect place from which to rent bikes for a really enjoyable day. It was easy to book online and communication with the staff was clear and professional. It was easy to find, and when we arrived, the staff took the time to fit us properly for the bikes, to get us helmets, that would work, and, a bike lock so we could stop for coffee and lunch. This was our first time in Brisbane and it was such a beautiful way to see the city. We stayed along the river, the whole time, crossing, bridges back-and-forth, and stopping whenever we wanted to. The self-guided aspect was perfect for us, but I can also see how a guided tour would be great. This was an exceptional experience, and I would highly recommend it.

My 12 year old son and I did the twilight kayak tour down the Brisbane river. What a fantastic thing to do! Great fun and an excellent way to check out the city. Awesome friendly crew and informative as tour guides on the river. Highly recommend.

We had an amazing time! Zoe was kind and incredibly helpful in finding the place, and Giren, our tour guide, added a touch of humor and support throughout the tour. He ensured everyone was doing well and even helped with my kayak at times. The kids loved the trip, and despite a little mishap where I fell over, Giren's calm assistance getting me back to the boat made the whole experience unforgettable.

Very good and affordable bike rental I rented a hardtail bike from Riverlife yesterday and was impressed by both the reasonable condition of the bike and the price, which was $25 for 4 hours. The bike was perfect for a great ride along the beautiful river tracks. The staff were helpful and friendly and I would definitely use them again when visiting Brisbane.

Challenge with a view A challenge for us, with an 11 and 14 year old and me being an old girl myself. My husband went first over the edge of the cliff and was a star. Our instructor Blake was an absolute gem, so calm and truly wonderful at talking us through what we needed to do. Blake was very supportive and encouraging, and he helped to make our experience happen as well as it did. My husband did a second trip over the edge and was already looking like a professional. It was so good of Blake to let him go again so that I also had the opportunity to see someone from my own family, watching from on the ground below.

Great fun Excellent. Really chilled outing. The river is lovely and flat with very little wash from boats. Our guide Gieron was good fun and what he doesn't know about rivets in bridges isn't worth knowing ????

Staff was friendly, welcoming and encouraging to the activity. Went abseiling in the afternoon, views were amazing and with a small group to get individual care. Instructors were very knowledgeable and experienced with the activity and gear. Photographer was also present helping capture the moment so we could fully enjoy the activity, and great quality photos! Would do it again or check out other adventures!

Fun afternoon on the water My adult daughter and I had a really fun afternoon with our guides Georgia & Zoe kayaking up the Brisbane River. Was a bit windy but we still found it really easy to paddle. Nice way to see the sights of Brisbane ! Girls were fun guides.
