I loved my experience with Trailhopper Tours. Laurie (our driver) was amazing. He was so friendly and went above and beyond. He took me to four wineries (Rusden, Lambert, Yalumba and First Drop) for wine tasting in in the Barossa (all planned by Trailhoppers) Lunch was included at Lambert Winery. I loved all 4 wineries and lunch was delicious. I stocked up on some beautiful bottles of wines. It was so lovely being able to sit back and relax. It is a wonderful service. I can't recommend Trailhoppers highly enough.

We had an awesome experience with Nathan on the Trailhopper. The logistics of traveling around made it an easy and enjoyable experience. Nathan’s knowledge of all the wineries was super useful (it helped us to focus on the good stuff for each wine tasting session). Would highly recommend and we will be back to try some different wineries next round (there's lots!)

The only problem was limited communication in the lead up, which could be a result of booking with TripAdvisor rather than direct (unsure).
I didn’t appreciate we had to pre book winery tasting and was alerted 50 minutes before the start of the trip by the driver. Would have been nice to have some communication in the lead up.
Otherwise a good day had, squeezed into a couple of great wineries.

We booked a tour with trail hopper for our first winery tour. Glad we did there was only my husband and I and two other girls so a very private tour. Our bus driver was Yvette and she was amazing full of local knowledge. I had two wineries I was definite about Shaw and Smith which I booked but had not done for Bird in Hand just thought I would wing it but Yvette made the call and advised them she was bringing us so it was organised. This was a much better way for us to do what we wanted to do at our pace so would not hesitate to come again or even advise friends. Thank you Yvette for a great day. 😊😊

Awesome bus tour of the Barossa Valley! Tour guide/driver, Hamish, was knowledgeable, passionate, friendly, flexible and fun.
We loved that we had some flexibility in where and how long we could stop at wineries. Loved Calabria and Lambert wineries. Food at Lambert was delicious and the wines and staff at both were fantastic. Highly recommend this reasonably priced tour. Thanks team!

Without a doubt, the best way to experience the wineries in Adelaide. We’ve now been on four tours and have had an amazing experience every single time. Cherie was incredibly accommodating in the lead-up to our most recent trip, especially as we unfortunately needed to make a couple of changes beforehand. She handled everything with no complaints and made the whole process completely stress-free, which we really appreciated. Every driver we’ve had has been fantastic, and we’ve never had any issues using Trailhopper. Highly recommend.

Wine tasting via @trailhoppertours 🍷#MclarenValewinery
Each wine varies depending on the soil, climate, family history, and the passion the family puts into it. You can really see how much time and effort they invest into every bottle they produce each year. Some bottles are even named after their kids and life experiences, which makes every wine feel more personal and meaningful.
At first, I honestly had no idea what I signed up for. I even had to ask the driver what I should do. She encouraged me to just take my time, explore, and try new things even the ones I never imagined myself doing.
At my first winery, I met a lovely couple from Tassie who were so accommodating, and the rest is history full of new memories. They shared not only the wine experience but also life stories, which felt oddly timely for my current situation.
It was such a nice experience meeting new people and trying things I didn’t think I could do. Learning about wine, tasting how rustic and crisp each bottle can be even though at first it felt overwhelming because I didn’t even know a single wine variety lol.
But it turned out to be such a cool experience to try. By the last stop though… I couldn’t even tell the difference in taste anymore
Still, it was a beautiful experience especially for someone like me just solo vibing and stepping into something completely new.

We had so much fun doing the Hahndorf hop on hop off wine tour with TrailHopper we decided to do it all again on their Barossa Valley hop-on hop-off wine tour! This time we book the all inclusive package which was absolutely worth it!
From start to finish it was so easy and stress-free. The flexibility to hop on and off at different wineries meant we could take our time, enjoy tastings, have lunch, and really soak up everything the Barossa has to offer without worrying about tasting fees, lunch or planning logistics, just a relaxed day of amazing wines, beautiful scenery, and good vibes. Dean was friendly, knowledgeable, and kept everything running smoothly.
If you’re looking for a fun, well-organised way to explore the Barossa Valley, I highly recommend TrailHopper. We’ll definitely be back! 🍇🥂

We had a great day in the McClaren Vale with Dean, our driver. The area is beautiful, and it was so nice to be able to taste wines and not worry about driving. Dean was friendly, engaging, and helpful. We visited Oliver’s Taranto (very good and pretty winery), then elected to spend 2 hours at Molly Dooker so we could have lunch, and we absolutely loved it there. Last was Hugh Hamilton Wines, also very good. I wish we had been in Adelaide longer so we could go to the Barossa! Definitely recommend.

I absolutely love this mob.
I find it is one of the easiest ways to see one of Adelaide's major wine regions without being locked into a large group of strangers and without spending and arm & leg.
I have done about six tours now and each one has been fantastic. The drivers are always so jovial and knowledgeable, the buses clean & comfortable and locations beautiful. I strongly recommend for any small group wanting to try some of Adelaide's best wineries, but without requiring a deso.

Excellent! The tour worked really well for us. We booked the tour and then 4 wineries. You need to be organised and read the trail info and program. Some people hadn’t booked wineries and I think they managed to get tastings. Laurie was very efficient, entertaining and clear - he runs thd journey like clockwork and he needs to - otherwise it would be a nightmare. We went to Smith and Shaw, nepenthe ( fav) with platter, bird in hand and sideways. All the wineries were really good. A great day out. Great and clear communication and highly recommended. Vg value for money.

My partner and I did a TrailHopper tour of the Barossa. The driver was great and very friendly and the tour was a useful way to see different spots in the Barossa. Unfortunately lots of businesses were closed in the town centres due to the heatwave which I recognise is outside of the company’s control, however I was surprised to see various businesses (e.g. ice cream store, coffee roasters and pizza restaurant) listed on the company’s itinerary under the Provenance Barossa location being closed and opening at 5:30pm when the tours operate only during the day; this seems like false advertising and was a key reason why we decided to get off the bus at this stop. Maggie Beer’s shop was also only included as a late afternoon stop meaning a lunch booking was not possible there which would have been a value add.

This is an excellent way to go to the wineries you want to without the hassle of organising the transport. There were only five of us in the minibus so plenty of space. I visited three wineries and Hahndorf and never felt rushed for time. Yvette was an excellent driver and great guide. Hahndorf on a Sunday before Christmas was a bit crowded but still fun to do. I did book two wine tastings ahead of the trip but had no problem adding a third when I arrived there. Probably safest to book all and it helps you plan your best itinerary.
