INTRODUCING
Welcome to the last wilderness frontier of Australia, the famous Kimberley! Embark on a once-in-a-lifetime journey through the incredible arid Savannah, immersing yourself in the awe-inspiring beauty of the world heritage-listed Bungle Bungles during our yearly Kimberley Nulla Nulla Bash.
The Nulla Nulla is a tour like no other, limited to a maximum of eight vehicles in the convoy held annually.
Prepare to be enchanted as you swim in numerous breathtaking gorges and waterfalls, bask in the glorious Western Australian sun during amazing short hikes (ranging from 2 to 4 kilometers), and camp under the majestic Baob trees at our specially selected campsites.
Wildlife enthusiasts will be delighted by the abundance of viewing opportunities, including crocodiles, emus, kangaroos, jabirus, brolgas, camels, dingoes, barramundi (which may even find their way onto our dinner plates if we’re lucky enough to catch a legal one), snakes, and perhaps even spiders—thanks to Sharon, our guide’s uncanny knack for finding them.
Our adventure continues along the famous Gibb River Road—a 660-kilometer stretch of mostly corrugated road that offers one of Australia’s most unique 4WD experiences. We’ll traverse rivers, conquer small 4WD sections, and revel in the breathtaking scenery that surrounds us. Along the way, we’ll have the rare opportunity to spend a night on the banks of the Pentecost River and explore tracks that are rarely driven.
Prepare to be captivated by Lake Argyle—a hidden gem teeming with an estimated 35,000 freshwater crocodiles. We’ll spend a day exploring its vast reaches, embark on a scenic cruise, and for those feeling adventurous, take a dip alongside these fascinating creatures. In the afternoon, we’ll cool off in the award-winning infinity pool that overlooks the lake—an experience worthy of an Instagram post.
Our journey wouldn’t be complete without a visit to El Questro Station—a beautiful oasis boasting incredible facilities and fantastic gorges. Immerse yourself in nature’s wonders as you soak in thermal springs and embark on captivating walks. fantastic gorges, thermal springs & walks. We recommend a lunch stop here for their delicious Pizza.

My sister & I did the Great Ocean Road Tour with Sky Road Trail. We had a fabulous time. The food was amazing, much better than we anticipated. We really enjoyed all the walks and the scenery and meet some great people. This was the 2nd trip I have done with Patrick. Look forward to more.

I have now completed three trips with Sky Road Trail and I highly recommend travelling with them for a fun filled adventure holiday. I most recently went to Fiji and had so many awesome experiences. The village homestay was so authentic and gave great insight into their simple but rich lives. I have never seen such beautiful islands, beaches and reefs before. Unlike a tour company, Sky Road has a ‘friends travelling together’ ethos that brings your group together with such fantastic camaraderie.

Traveller beware. I have met many people who know and/or have experienced travelling with Patrick (you only need to go on a group hike and mention his name and someone will have a story or two). While I have heard one person say good things I’ve heard lots say bad. My experience with him was bad. Before you book your trip and definitely before you hand over any money, read the bad reviews and take notice. Hot tip… Dept of Fair Trading is your friend.

BEWARE!! Disappointing trip to the Kimberleys, average food, itinerary changes at short notice (we ended up missing 2 places on the list) and a number of times having to sit around and wait for Patrick to turn up. It didn't start off well with Patrick turning up 2 hours late on the 1st day. The trip was cancelled in Broome, 4 days before the scheduled finish date (we didn't get to visit the Dampier Peninsula). He promised a refund for those days but only followed through on about 1/3 of the amount owed and didn't answer any emails or voicemails and blocked us from the Facebook site. He didn't turn up to the Consumer Affairs tribunal and hasn't responded to the orders made by the Tribunal. After our experience it is hard to imagine that most of the listed reviews are genuine. I won't be travelling with them again.

The trip was cancelled in Broome, (budget had been exceeded) 4 days before the scheduled finish date (we didn't get to visit the Dampier Peninsula). He promised a refund for those days, via email, but only followed through on about 1/3 of the amount owed and didn't answer any emails or voicemails and blocked us from the Facebook site. After our experience it is hard to imagine that most of the listed reviews are genuine. I found it unprofessional with poor planning and organisation.

We have been working with Sky Road Trail for a couple of years now and have found both Sharon and Patrick to be professional and easy going to deal with. The tours are authentic and best of all the groups are small. Sky Road Trail offers trips to areas of Australia which can be difficult to access on your own, their knowledge of the logistics of travelling in these areas is invaluable, as things are often closed and road conditions can sometimes be unpredictable due to weather conditions in these areas. Sky Road Trail are also a good option for the Pacific Islands if you want more out of your holiday than just sitting by a pool at a resort. Where ever you decide to adventure with Sky Road Trail you can be assured of an experience to remember.

I have been on two trips with Sky Road Trail in 2023. The first was a great hike but with some concerns over the organisation of the overall trip. The second was horrific. Poor organisation, lies and most concerning I felt unsafe often. I have travelled and camped extensively on my own but this was unbelievable. If Patrick put the same effort into organising himself and the trips as he does in making long winded excuses during the trips and in emails after the trips they would be exceptional. I have requested a refund. Regardless of the outcome of this request my review here still stands. I will never recommend this company to another person.

I had an amazing time with Patrick and Sharon doing The Six Foot Track hiking adventure long weekend. I thought the food served on a camping trip was just excellent. We had Butterflied Lamb with Pomegranite one night and a Duck L'orange on another night. Not your typical camping meals. Breakfast was hot and very filling and perfect for a cooler morning. Staying at the lodge was a real bonus and I really enjoyed sitting around the fire pit that night. I did not enjoy the leech that hitched a ride on my ankle, thank you to Sharon for removing it for me. I am looking forward to another adventure with them and hoping to go on one of their amazing WA trips next year. Thanks again for an awesome weekend.

Cancels trips and then does not refund money! When asked for money back he sends very fake looking lawyers letters threatening to take you to court! The judge would laugh at this bloke honestly! DODGY!! Travel at your own risk! I wouldn’t let this team take my dog for a walk! His reply says I am spam… I am not spam. Owner does fake reviews to make his business look good. I’m happy for anyone to email me and I’ll send through proof of fake lawyers letters and further correspondence. If you refund owed money, I will delete this review. Thanks

I went on the Kimberly trip in May/June 2023. The trip was very poorly run. Patrick is effectively running the company whilst insolvent. He had to end the trip because he ran out of money. He operates without a credit card and spends needlessly on excess food that will never be eaten. 25% of the designated stops enroute were not made. He couldn't cook a healthy gourmet meal if his life depended on it (and he looks like he has never eaten one either). He started the trip by running over two hours late and it just got worse. He gives tour operators a bad name and I hope karma catches up with him very soon. It's only the second time he's run this trip and he had NFI. (Watch out for false reviews which are certainly being made.) He's also happily boasts that he's been taken to VCAT on a number of occasions - be warned!

Thank you for your feedback. Your feedback is very important to us. We welcome all reviews both positive and negative as it is a real learning experience.
As you have not identified yourself or any specific trip we are unable to respond specifically to your review but the period you describe was a time when many travel businesses were affected by the dreaded COVID pandemic.
We have issued a travel credit voucher to all those affected by the cancellation of just three trips during that time. If you don't have a copy of the voucher you can contact us with your details and we will send you a copy.
We look forward to welcoming those who were issued a voucher from those three trips in the near future and experience the wonderful destinations we have on offer.
Thank you for getting in touch regarding your concerns.

As I was flying out the next morning, I had to find and book another tour at very short notice. I was promised a full refund of my SRT tour cost after 20 days, 30 days, at the end of December, January and now the end of February (I have received part-payments, but to date still have a balance of 25% of my payment outstanding). The explanation I have been given for having to wait for my money is that the organiser is still trying to obtain a refund from whoever it was paid to.
I just want my money back.

Thank you for your feedback. The information we receive from our clients assists us to learn from and improve our operations therefore we appreciate your providing a review. We see this was your second trip with us before this trip was affected by COVID 19 issues which have thankfully subsided. Refunds can take considerable time depending on the terms and conditions of the contract, successful recoveries, processing times of third parties etc. Our file notes show we have been in contact at least twice a month and keeping you updated but we do apologise for the extended delay. We will certainly review your case and aim to finalise the issue for you promptly.

My sister and I did The Great Ocean Road trip with Patrick and his team, Darcy and Tom in February. We had a great time and really enjoyed the hike from the Apostels but it was a very hot hike being in the middle of the day. The hike has now been changed to a later start so you arrive at the apostles at sunset and can enjoy the sun setting over the rocks which is really magical. We thought that there was a great balance of walks/hikes vs time spent driving in the car. There was plenty of stops for coffee along the way which was great. The food was really enjoyable and we met some really lovely people on the trip. We felt really safe in the small bus with Darcy driving and Patrick & Tom provided the laughs. Besides the apostles themselves the Koala that fell out of the tree, right at our feet when we were at Bimby Park was a real highlight for my sister and I. Poor little fellow. He was ok though.

This is Not an organised tour!" is Patrick's catch-cry and his excuse for running late, changing plans and simply not providing what he's marketed. I went on his Cairns to Cape York trip which BOASTED gourmet food - and was a complete disappointment. The food was stodgy, heavily carb loaded and nutritionally deficient (chicken and pasta is NOT gourmet, nor healthy!). Despite the promise of King Prawns, Whole Snapper and Northern Australian fruits, they didn't provide so much as a banana! Although Sharon was lovely, Patrick rarely engaged with us and, if we (the paying passengers) didn't do substantial amounts of the set up and pack up (including often packing up their tent for them) we would have covered very little ground. Will definitely not travel.with this company again.

If I could give zero stars I would. I write this review as a BIG WARNING to anyone considering going on a trip with this company. Patrick does not communicate to you until you write a bad review, and then he threatens to sue you if you don't take the review down. I mean, what kind of person does that anyway? I wish I had read about his company before I gave him over $500 that he refuses to refund to me. He's given me some flimsy credit but I can't afford to go to Sydney again and spend money on flights on a trip that may or may not be cancelled. I will be lodging a complain with the Dept of Fair Trading as I am still wanting a full refund for a trip he cancelled due to bad weather. As I had to fork out extra money for accommodation and food and I can't afford, nor do I want to go on a trip with such an aggressive and unorganised man. He had so many red flags from the start I should've known better. His trip was on meetup but then for some unknown reason he and the group vanished from that. Sharon was the only person to get back to my queries. He does NOT provide receipts, even when asked a number of times, which is actually an offence under section 100 the Commonwealth Competition and Consumer Act 2010 which could see him fined by the ACCC of up to $15,000. I've already reported him to the ATO as I don't think he's declaring any of the money he's taking from people. Be warned of giving this company any money.

I am a busy, single, professional woman who works long, crazy hours. So finding a company that offers fabulous getaways to awesome locations with everything organised and included was absolutely gold. Honestly all I had to do was sit back, relax, laugh and enjoy the ride. Regarding food, I think it is important to mention that as a vegetarian I was more than happy with the quality and variety of meals offered. The meals were prepared with the highest hygiene standards, were fresh and really delicious ???? . I’ve already been on two adventures with Patrick and Leanne and I was so impressed with the fantastic locations offered and value for money I’ve already booked on two more trips for this year, Bedarra Island and Kakadu! Thank you Sky Road Trail (Patrick and Leanne) see you again soon ????

Amazing experience ???????????????????? Pat is an experienced tour operator and his expertise goes beyond hiking, camping, organising. Above all Pat and his partners were just great source of strong morals support and inspiration. I did six foot track one from Jenolan caves to blue mountains, it was a well planned and well organised tour. I'm a novice hiker yet enjoyed the most. All the peers were so friendly. And I made handful of amazing friends eventually I ended up meeting them in qld for Christmas and NYE Enjoyed the cave tour in the Jenolan and the food and swim at the eco lodge was right on time. While I trailed most hikes the team gave me my own radio and I never felt disconnected. All 3 days of full of learnings and great memories. ????????????
