Fabulous trip to the Reef Great experience, staff very competent and welcoming, trip itself was excellent saw a lot of the reef, one not to miss when you are in Cairns.

Awesome trip and friendly, helpful staff We took the 30 minute tour over the Great Barrier Reef with Hayley. The scenery was amazing and Hayley had great facts about the area. She answered all our questions. The weather was not cooperating early in the day but they worked with us to make the trip possible. They were very professional with all the safety requirements and made us very comfortable as first time flyers.

Turquoise Waters at Their Best!🩵 My husband and I experienced one of our Bucket List trips ( Great Barrier Reef) thanks to Zoom Helicopters , or more accurately stated , because of the outstanding staff at Zoom. We were fortunate to have a picture perfect day at the reef and our incredible photos prove how wonderful this experience was . It was a very hot, humid day and I told Chris, managing the office that morning , that I would mention the fabulous AC we were greeted with !! Our “ cold” welcome was much appreciated ! After Chris gave us a wonderful safety briefing we we took off with Hayley as our outstanding pilot. Her enthusiasm and passion for the reef were delightful. Her professionalism and knowledge were equally outstanding. Our 40 minute flight “ flew” by so quickly but we saw much more than anticipated. The dolphins were spotted almost immediately, the variety of corals were evident as well AND those turquoise waters will be forever imprinted in our minds. Thank you for our priceless memories. This is an amazing company and we highly recommend experiencing the GBR via a Zoom Helicopter.

Absolutely fantastic experience! This was a bucket list experience and my friend and I who are both photographers wanted to get some really good shots and we did. We came mid morning around 9am to beat the afternoon thunderstorms and from the time we arrived the team was very friendly and accommodating. Our pilot Hailey was absolutely fantastic and high-spirited which is needed on a tour of this magnitude. She gave great commentary and answered all of out questions and banked the helicopter so both my friend and I could get a good view and shots. The only thing we didn't like was having to land back at Cairns Airport but I'll let them off with this one.

Fantastic Experience! This was a phenomenal bucket list experience. As a photographer, this was the reason that my friend (who is also a photographer) and I took this flight and it didn't disappont. We came early to beat the afternoon thunderstorms and from the time we arrived the team was very friendly and accommodating. Our pilot Hailey was fantastic and high-spirited which is needed on a tour of this magnitude. The views were fantastic as Hailey was giving us good commentary and answering all of our questions. The only thing we didn't like is having to come back to land back at Cairns Airport but I'll let them off with this one

PEAK EXPERIENCE! In a two week trip to Australia full of peak experiences (feeding kangaroos, climbing the Harbor Bridge, snorkeling the GBR), this might be #1!
Btw, I first booked a small plane flight over the reef, but realized that a helicopter would be better, since it can fly lower. I don't know how low, since I can't convert metres to feet, but we had an up-close-and-personal view of the reef. And major shout out to our pilot, Hayley, a very skillful young woman who made the trip so much fun. Also a plus listening to the ATC tower and hearing other pilots and controllers sign off, "G'day."

We recently did our very first helicopter ride over Cairns and the Great Barrier Reef, and it was absolutely incredible. From the moment we lifted off, the views were like nothing we have ever seen — crystal-clear turquoise water, stunning reef formations, and the coastline stretching out forever. The pilot, Hailey was friendly, passionate, knowledgeable, and made us feel completely safe the entire time.

The whole experience was smooth, well-organised, and honestly one of the highlights of our trip. If you’re in Cairns, this is a must-do. You won’t regret it!

Brilliant OuterReef Helicopter ride in Cairne Beautiful view of outer reef in sky to get a sense of the magnitude of the varsity of the Great Barrier Reef, which you can not appreciate from the sea. A must do in Cairne. Pilot provided a smooth ride with perfect landing.

First view of the Great Barrier Reef by air - brilliant. The experience was brilliant from start to finish. Check in with safety brief then introduction to the pilot. Everything was explained well, with necessary checks before take off, smooth take off and flight. Great explanations of what we could see and about the Great Barrier Reef. The 30 mins went so quick.

But unfortunately, we can't stop by Vlasoff Sand Cay. also we bought vedio but we prefer install immediately to our cellphone instead USB next time.

Coral Cay Bubbles - Hayley is Awesome! We had a fantastic time with Hayley. We didn’t get to land on the sand island, unfortunately, due to an unexpected helicopter already being there. That being said, Hayley more than made up for it, and we were even part of a search for another helicopter that had lost contact with the tower. Highly recommend Zoom for your helicopter tour as they are friendly and professional and make sure you have a great experience!

First time helicopter experience We did our first helicopter experience with Zoom. We really had the best time. Was a truly amazing experience. Chris was our instructor and I would highly recommend him. Was a brilliant trip and saw some amazing scenes. Highly recommended this company.

Highly recommended helicopter tour in Cairns We did the 90-minute Reef and Rainforest flight. Excellent outfit and our pilot, Neals, was great. Their smaller helicopter accommodates 3 passengers in addition to the pilot which worked great for us as there were exactly 3 of us. They also have a larger one that can take 4 passengers. Finding their location is easy, just Uber to the address. They had free drinks before the flight with some safety instructions. We enjoyed the flight over Reef much more than over land. The Reef is really the unique thing in Cairns, so recommend doing more Reef flight time than over land. I used my Garmin watch to do a Track Me activity so you can see our flight map in the attached photo. All in all, an excellent experience, highly recommended, although a bit pricey.

We did the 40 minute Great Barrier Reef tour. Hailey was a fantastic pilot and great host during our tour. She made us feel safe and comfortable through the whole process. It was nice that there was no extensive safety briefings or admin before getting in the air but this was no compromise on the safety of the flight. Just a really smooth, easy process.
Visibility on the day we went was fantastic and we were able to see so much from the air, even getting to see a whale breach the water. Being able to purchase the recording of our flight was great and allowed us to focus on the experience knowing we could have great vision all captured at the end. Still had plenty of opportunities to capture our own photos from the windows.

Bucket list 2025 Great flight and views lucky enough to see whale and calf. Only disappointment was the video was deficient on the audio.I rang the owner and he was happy to reimburse the cost of the video as I explained that the audio issue detracted from the experience.owner explained what was happening with audio and was happy to reimburse and apologised. Don't be a cheap skate We hummed about which flight to take..ie short or long. Decided to suck it up ($$$ wise) and book the 1 hour flight over the Barrier and Daintree. Not disappointed one bit. Well worth paying the xtra. The pilot was a young lady (originally from Perth)that was full of enthusiasm and obviously loved her job. Best Helicopter Tour in Cairns Zoom offers the most diverse options and great flexibility, as they operate smaller helicopters, so you don’t need a large group. They also provide a wide range of tours to choose from based on your preferences. Our pilot, Hayley, also acted as a tour guide, sharing stories about the reef and pointing out aquatic animals like sharks and stingrays. The only downside is that they’re not located in the city center, but thanks to their proximity to the airport, it can be a convenient first stop after arrival or a final stop before departure.

Great Barrier Reef From Above I was terrified of doing this at first, but I am SO glad I did! The helicopter is small, but it felt fine when we were up there. The views you see are views that are impossible to see unless you're in a helicopter. Just book it!!! My sister and I were pleasantly surprised with our experiences, and Brendan was super knowledgeable and made us feel safe. Would 100% do it again.

This was a great experiance. Flight was nearly an hour long and takes you over the reef and up into the hills over the Barron River. Guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Would thoroughly recommend this company.

Awesome experience!!!!! Was hesitant initially as it seems like a tiny operation with their little building and small helicopter, but they were all so friendly, owner/founder was very accommodating. In the end, the experience can only be described as jaw-dropping and totally worth the money. One thing I wish I did was pair it with a snorkeling excursion as I found out later they partner with some of the other companies to fly you out to a pontoon at a reef . it would have made more sense for us cost-wise and time-wise to do these 2 things together (and save the rocky boat ride out to the reef).

Fear Of Heights Quickly Forgotten 8/6/2024
My daughter and I did the Rainforest Fusion flight this morning with Niels and it was absolutely amazing.
I am scared of heights, but this fear was quickly forgotten thanks to the beautiful scenery and our pilots lovely friendly manner.
From booking, right through to actually experiencing the flight, they’ve been a great company to deal with. I would 100% recommend Zoom Helicopters too everyone

45 mins scenic flight The pilot was very helpful, professional, friendly and easy to talk to. We flew very smoothly in the air, it was a little bit windy, but the pilot did a really great job driving the helicopter. We were accommodated very well. Five out of five!

What a fantastic experience!
We were lucky enough to land on the sandy cay and enjoy a cold beverage, while watching the turtles, reef sharks and rays swim around us in the shallows. The Zoom team are extremely professional, accommodating and of course excellent pilots. Highly recommend when visiting Cairns.
