You are better off going with another kayaking tour as they are more reliable and care more about their customers like Seaway Kayaking Tours who are so much better.

We had our sunset kayak tour cancelled 3 hours before our tour at 5pm due to "low numbers", and therefore resulting to them not wanting to run it, despite already booking and paying for the tour. The website only states tours will be cancelled due to weather and safety concerns. If we had known that they would cancel so last minute we never would've booked with such an unreliable company who clearly only cares about the money rather than their customers.

We had planned our holiday days out as many would to maximize the trip, and made our way to Gold Coast only to be told that tour was not happening that day a few hours before. They offered us an option to reschedule to another day, but even then they could not confirm the tour happening as they had to wait for people to book it. This is such a unreliable way of business that they need to CLEARLY state on their website so people are aware.

After much discussion and them telling us the only options were to either reschedule or getting a refund, they offered us the chance to join any tour. We ended up joining another tour (only 5 people including us, most likely would've been cancelled too if we didn't join). The tour guide was really friendly and amazing. However this did not change the fact that we had to change our schedule and drive down once again.

They wasted our time and ruined our day when we could've done something else if they told us in the morning the tour was cancelled. A very disappointing and frustrating experience, I hope the company changes their poor business model and makes things more clear to customers. Maybe this way they may actually get more customers!

Peter is a really nice and perfect instructor. We had a lot of fun, and we were in three groups. We truly enjoyed the experience and had a fantastic day.

The weather impacted our booking but Steven quickly amended our tour ensuring our group’s safety and our students and staff had an amazing time of the water. 🌅Brilliant Sunset Kayak – So Worth It! We did the sunset kayak with Australian Kayaking Adventure, and it was absolutely fantastic! Our guide Alex was super friendly, patient, and full of good vibes. He gave clear instructions, shared heaps of interesting facts about the area, and made sure everyone felt safe and confident out on the water.
The paddling was a bit of a workout, but the views at sunset made it all worth it. Alex also snapped some awesome photos for us, which turned out beautifully!
He even took us to try to spot some bats. We didn’t see them at the park, but we ended up seeing many on the way back to our hotel, which was such a cool surprise.
Overall, it was an amazing experience, relaxing, fun, and beautifully organised. Couldn’t recommend it more. Cheers to Alex for making it such a memorable trip!

We had an amazing experience kayaking and snorkelling with fish. First timers here along with another group and Alex our tour guide from Australian Kayaking Adventures reassured all of us despite the rain we would be fine and put our nerves at ease especially with our 10yo boy. Instructions on how to and the history behind the island we were visiting was very informative - Alex you were awesome! Thank you for making our Gold Coast experience and first timers kayaking/ snorkelling a memorable one.

Loved this experience! Steve was super helpful and such a lovely way to spend a morning in the Goldcoast. We hired kayaks for 2 hours which was sufficient and were given clear directions on where to do. Really enjoyable activity, and be sure to visit Bumbles cafe next door after :)

Loved every moment of this trip! As someone coming on holiday we thoroughly enjoyed it. Instructions were easy and simple to follow and the kayak was so much fun! Though no dolphins we did get to see fish when snorkelling. Crew were so friendly and I would definitely do this again.

Great cruisy morning activity Perfect morning activity if you're interested in nature and ecology. Our guide Pete was really friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. We saw some cool fish snorkeling and even got to see the dolphins!
Water visibility was better before the tide started going out but even so, Pete knew where/how to see the fish!

Amazing experience! Thanks to our tour guide Pablo who was very kind and helpful. We didn’t get the chance to see dolphins but we really enjoyed those 3 hours tour. We did snorkeling and it was amazing we saw multiple varieties of fishes, just beautiful! The breakfast on the beach was very good we got some cereals, oranges wedges and cookies, yummy! And the tour of kayak was really nice, we were also beginners and never been on a kayak, and it wasn’t hard at all to get used to it as it was explained very well.

My partner and I had a great time kayaking and snorkeling! It was a really fun day out and Pablo, our instructor, was a lot of fun! Will be looking into more fun kayaking adventures next holiday!!

Our kayaking 2 hour trip was wonderful. The instructors, especially Paulo looked after us wonderfully. No stress or feeling rushed. We stopped and then did some snorkeling which we had never done. Great instructions and in we went. LOVED IT. So many fish it was fabulous. Don't hesitate - do it. It was the end of our holiday and it made our trip.

We did get a Dolphin approach my wife to see what she was doing, but she had no idea, other. wildlife were very friendly, a school of Brim were swimming all around us and a Magpie also joined in the fun, making friends with everyone.

Scenic kayak over to wave break island where we hopped out of the kayaks to go spend an hour snorkelling with a variety of fish, an octopus and a falcon hunting for fish!

Company left before we arrived. Company left before we even arrived to the snorkelling sight. Ridiculous. We arrived 15 minutes early as well. Unprofessional. Got a refund which is good. Only reason I gave it one star.

The activity consists of a 10 minute Kayak, a snorkel session a light breakfast then a 10 min kayak back to the starting point. We did the 07:30 session.

On our trip we saw dolphins in the bay as we started our trip and had the opportunity to do an extra snorkel after the breakfast. Our guide Pete was amazing, he was great at explaining the correct technique for kayaking and snorkeling while also warning us of areas to avoid when snorkeling due to the presence of oyster shells. Would recommend.

Fun and easy to do This tour was good even for non swimmers.. After some simple but helpful instructions we paddled out to the island. It was windy and our arms were tired. We beached the kayaks, walked across the island to the snorkeling spot and Pete told us how these sand islands formed - he was full of interesting information about snakes, stone fish and the history of the area. There were hundreds of fish to see while snorkeling. It was quite surprising since we were so close to the city. Whereas sone tours get too bogged down in useless safety procedures and how to’s, this one had just what we would need and no more.. it was well worth the 2 hrs.

Had a great time on the sunset kayaking tour, but be ready for a physical challenge! Besides the rowing, you'll need to haul the hefty kayak into and out of the water on your own, which is unexpected.
The bird island tour was a pleasant surprise; we initially thought it was solely kayaking, but it was delightful to see many beautiful birds thriving on the man-made island.
Unfortunately, the water isn't pristine, and passing under the bridge can be quite odorous. My suggestion would be to opt for sea kayaking rather than navigating city rivers.

Had an amazing time doing the morning dolphin kayak and snorkling tour. This was the 3rd time doing it for me. Steve was a fantastic guide and even though it rained on the way back, it was all worth it as we got to see some dolphins. Thank you for another unforgettable experience.

Great experience! Definitely recommend this activity. I thought it was a great price for all that we did. Nelson our guide was very friendly and was very attentive to our kayaking, making sure everyone was safe. Perfect time amount, not too long of an activity. The free photos were amazing and unexpected! Easy enough location to meet at and as a solo attendee, I didn’t feel awkward at all. Next time I come to Gold Coast I am definitely doing this again!

Just ok Although I enjoyed the time kayaking, there was nothing that stood out about this kayak adventure. Snorkeling was just ok. Breakfast offered was cold cereal and milk.

We did the 730am kayaking and snorkelling. Family of four, two girls aged 12 and 8. Am not particularly fit, but enjoyed the experience. The guides (Pete, Tyler, Jonas) were helpful and friendly. We had help kayaking when we needed it.

We went Jan 2024, and the weather was not great (cloudy and occasional showers). We saw dolphins from a distance, and a lot of fish and stingray while snorkelling. There were two other boats in the area but we stayed back the latest. We bought full-faced snorkels for our kids and had them practice beforehand. This worked for them.

The breakfast was light, but I think just right considering we had to paddle and swim.

It was safe and well-run, and I would recommend for a young family as this is a welcome break from all the screentime.

Let’s do more kayaking There was not a lot of kayaking in the two hours as we were able to quickly arrive at a determined midpoint location after kayaking for about 15 minutes only.

We were then led through a maze of parked house boats on the shoreline for about 20 minutes one way until we arrived at the location where we were given equipment to snorkel. The snorkeling site did show quite a number of small fish for viewing but don’t expect Great Barrier Reef views.

Another 20 minutes of walking back to where we left the kayaks and after a further 15 minutes of paddling it was over.

There was certainly a lot of walking and a minimal amount of kayaking and snorkelling.

Would suggest more kayaking around the shoreline should be the priority as this is what travellers paid for the experience not shoreline walks.

Overall, an average experience. The crew were very helpful though so points there.

My friends and I had so much fun kayacking with Australian Kayacking Adventures, the guides were very helpful and friendly to speak with. We even hand fed two friendly magpies which the guides had befriended.

We had so much fun kayacking and it was a pleasant experience throughout. We saw lots of different types of fish while snorkeling and enjoyed the surrounding scenery of the island. We saw wild dolphins from a distance and later on during the tour they came up right to our kayaks, jumping in front of them and swimming underneath, which was definitely the highlight of the tour!

I would definitely recommend Australian Kayacking Adventures to anyone that is looking to create memorable experiences on the Gold Coast with the addition of the experienced and knowledgeable guides.

Pretty cool ???? It was a really cool tour . The staff were pretty cool, the fish were pretty cool, ergo, the tour was pretty cool. Unfortunately, I have to write this last sentence to reach the 100 minimum character limit for TripAdvisor reviews.

Extremely Unprofessional and Unresponsive Extremely unprofessional and not a business I’d want anyone to have to deal with. We booked this experience as a fun family activity to do whilst on holidays and it ended up being a let down. After kayaking and walking we finally got to the beach where we were supposed to snorkel and the instructor didn’t have enough snorkels so we had to share one snorkel between the three of us. And I had clearly said that we’d have a child with us and there wasn’t a snorkel to fit him I’d think if you run a business and accept 6 year olds you’d atleast make sure you have one that would fit a child so two of us had to sit on the beach while the whole group got to snorkel and this wasn’t a cheap experience and we missed out on the only reason we went. And when I asked for a partial refund I’ve been ignored. All messages and calls ignored until calling from a different phone! I’m yet to hear back from him and it’s just a really sad experience that you shouldn’t have to deal with when your trying to have a fun day with your family and this company is clearly extremely unprofessional and also unreasonable as I approached it in a kind way and only asked for a refund for us who missed out. Please don’t use this company find one who cares about its customers there is plenty!

My 8yo absolutely loved this. We shared a kayak and had a spectacular time. Davey and Paul provided excellent training and support throughout the morning. We loved our trip, saw lots of beautiful fish and enjoyed our brekkie.
We were complete beginners and had no problems so would definitely recommend to other families.

We had an amazing trip out kayaking and snorkeling off the beach on wave break island. We happened to be the only ones in the group. Our guide gave us great information about the area, wildlife we may encounter, and any creatures to avoid on the trip. He also was very informative when helping us identify the species of fish we were seeing in the water. We had the best time and enjoyed getting to see a beautiful area along the Gold Coast.

Loved our experience. We had such a relaxed morning with a great kayak journey, snorkelling and some breakfast on the beach! Our guide was amazing and so friendly, made the morning that much more fun! No dolphins today but that’s just the gamble you take and it didn’t take away from our experience!

The tour guide was very nice, my friend and I were a little late and he phoned us and waited for us to arrive before starting the tour. He gave us bags so our stuff wouldn’t get wet. Told us where the cool creatures would be and gave us cookies at the end of the tour. Overall it was very beautiful and would recommend.

Fabulous I’ve done many kayaking adventures all over the world and I truely believe it’s the instructor that makes a ‘good’ trip to a ‘great’ one. Pete was brilliant with his knowledge, he kept us safe at all times, he’s kind & funny. Sounds like we love Pete, well we kinds do. 4 of us attended the 2 hour session with snorkelling & it was the perfect amount of time for us. We laughed, had photos taken and took nothing but wonderful memories home. Thanks again Pete.

To be honest we weren't expecting much from this tour Sue to the time of year, but we were so pleasantly surprised! The water was warm, the weather was beautiful and no wind. The fish were beautiful- we didn't expect to see so many colourful fish. It was great and we'd do it again in a heart beat. Pete was a great guide. Highly recommend.

Morning kayaking and snorkeling was a Great experience for us . Though we didn't saw dolphins but loved every bit of the journey. The view of city line was awesome and being on the kayak for the first time was bit scary and exciting at the same time. The guides were very good and friendly. Would love to do it again in future.

Terrible There was so snorkling like how they stated:)? We only saw the dolphin fins and went to a public park to see animals. Im so dissapointed.

Not worth the money The day we went was raining. The organisers should have canceled considering the weather. Also, we were asked to carry our own kayaks across the road in which we were not provided any help for.

Absolute joke. cancelled twice in one week, first time weather was completely fine no reason for cancellation, second time very short notice and we lost $40 as we were already in a cab. Was looking forward to the experience and they couldn’t deliver. Never again.

Kayaking was so much fun over calm waters and we really loved snorkeling amongst some pretty amazing and colourful fish. Family fun We really enjoyed the adventure of kayaking and snorkeling as a family! It suited us all from ages 6 -40. We believe the tour guides could have been more interactive and personable. They didn’t explain anything about the island we went to visit, the name of the fish or information about the Broadwater area. They also took photos but never explained how to get a copy. They did however give my children some food to feed the fish which was a lovely gesture.
