Magical family adventure We had the most wonderful time! We went as a family of five with our three little girls and it truly exceeded our expectations.

Jackie was absolutely lovely. She was so warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived, especially with the kids. She made our oldest feel incredibly special by letting her sit up front and feel like she was “controlling” the horse an unforgettable moment! She was incredibly patient while the kids patted and fed the horses and tried her best at making sure they felt comfortable the entire time.

It was such a fun, relaxed and memorable outing. If you’re visiting the Hunter Valley with kids this tour is an absolute must. We’ll treasure the memories forever!

A Wonderful Experience My husband and I took this trip this morning and it was so enjoyable. We were in the very capable hands of Keeley (spelling?!) who was excellent and a very good horse woman. The horses were very good all the way round and it was such a lovelyway to travel through the area. We went to two Vineyards and ended with a chocolate and cheese tasting. Thoroughly recommended 👌

Overall fantastic experience We loved the horse and carriage experience. It was fantastic. Our host was very experienced and a lovely lady. Jack and Rocky were the most beautiful horses. We are not into organic wines so we did not love the winery but the second winery (Vamp) more than made up for that. We absolutely loved that winery. Our host at Vamp was a wonderful girl and the whole wine tasting experience was fantastic. We also liked the cheese and chocolate tastings. This is a must do when you are in the Hunter Valley

Ok but not great!! Better ways to experience wine tasting! Novel transport but not the best wine tasting experience for the area. Cheese & chocolate tasting not worth the stop! Was like stopping at local shops!

From meeting Keeley our guide and the 2 horses Holly and Bonny,we plodded along at a gentle pace taking us to the 2 wineries and cheese and chocolate tasting venues.

This tour was such fun. The wineries we went to were great. My wife enjoyed all the samples and our tour guide Tom was fantastic. Highly recommend and hopefully you will be as lucky as we were to have Tom as your guide. Hopefully Jack & Banjo enjoy their day off.

Took my mum and two daughters for our first horse drawn carriage ride. The horses were magnificent, the views incredible and our host/driver Jade was fabulous! So very patient, kind and fun. We enjoyed the chats as much as the ride, so thank you Jade for elevating our experience.

Unique relaxing experience Jackie was excellent with the horses and taking us to wineries and chocolate and cheese tasting. A relaxing and unique way to see the Hunter and wineries. Jackie’s pleasant and friendly manner made the outing very enjoyable. Jackie was most efficient and well organised.

Awesome wine tour This was by far the best wine tasting trip we have ever been on. Those beautiful Clydesdales just won our hearts. The commentary was brilliant, the girls never rushed us and it was so obvious how much they loved those horses. The 3 hours also included a cheese and chocolate tasting. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to have a good time. There were 8 of us on the tour and we all said the same thing .. absolutely brilliant!!!!!!

Do not recommend for families Family Friendly Wine Tour’ on a horse and carriage definitely not family friendly.
Paid $198 for 2 kids to join us on this and never got offered anything on the two wineries we visited not even water.
Actually felt that they erased the fact that the kids where there.

Myself and my daughter chose the 1 hour trail ride at 11am on a Sunday morning . Was 4 other people in the group . The tour started on time without any delays . Was warm but luckily we had a consistent breeze blowing the entire time on the trail ride . Would have been hot without the breeze . Was about 34 degrees . Horses were very well behaved and the tour guides were friendly and helpful . Would recommend if looking for easy going horse ride .

We spent half a day at Hunter Valley Horse Riding and Adventures and honestly, we can’t wait to go back. Margaret and her team were so kind – they treated us like family from the moment we arrived.
We did a 30-minute horse ride, played on the go-karts, fed the ducks, went yabbying, had a tractor ride, and even got to pat the bunnies and kittens. We finished the day with a BBQ pack and cooked lunch ourselves, and the sides were so delicious.

It was such a wholesome, fun experience for the kids (and us!), and we’ll definitely be returning on our next trip.

We also checked out The Thirsty Horse for breakfast the next morning – highly recommend. The kids ran wild in the kids shed while we actually got to sit and enjoy our coffees. Perfection!

What a wonderful experience!
Took my niece and her Mum from Brisbane for a horse trail ride last Sunday and it was the best.
We are all novices and were a little anxious about riding. The team guided us and made us feel very safe plus the horses were very happy and tame.
It was a beautiful ride through the countryside with our lovely young gentleman (sorry i forgot his name). He was very sweet and personable and I couldn’t recommend them more highly.

Disappointing tour We joined a horse and carriage tour that included visits to two wineries. The first stop was lovely ,well prepared, welcoming, and nicely organized.
Unfortunately, the second winery didn’t even know we were coming, and they had to quickly improvise something for us, which was quite disappointing.We also did a cheese tasting and a chocolate tasting, both were far below expectations and definitely not worth recommending. The lady driving the carriage didn’t share some information about the area and didn’t make us feel welcome. Overall, the idea of the tour was nice, but the execution really fell short.

Great afternoon, horses and fresh air. We had a fantastic 3hr horse and cart experience. Ian and Connor were excellent hosts, great to talk with and local knowledge was on point.

We were taken a back when we were seated for the cheese and chocolate tasting, it was from a shop using paddle pop sticks and 4 chocolates the size of M&M's in a patty paper, disappointing and cheap considering there are cheese and chocolate factories nearby and the price we paid was not cheap .
We had a good time but was left disappointed for the price we paid.

Unique experience It has been a unique experience. So close to the nature and beautiful countryside scenary. Liam was very friendly and knowledgeable. He is really a horse person, handled the horses so well. We enjoyed the trip very much.

Excellent tour, great guide, beautiful hard working horses paired with lovely wine, cheese and chocolates perfect We arrived and were introduced to Banjo and Jack our horses for the tour. For the first stop at Pokolbin Estate we were a full carriage of 10. Polkobim Estate was nice, wine was good. We dropped off 4 from the group and carried on to The Smelly Deli (best cheese) and The Chocolate Company for tasting (and purchasing of course. Yum)
We then cantered up the road to Lisa McGuigan Wines. What a fabulous Celler Door. Very unique decor we loved it. The wine was flowing by our fabulous guide and Lisa herself came to meet us, this was pretty special for everyone. Wine was very good. After some funny photos we finished our wine and cantered home. I highly recommended this tour. It was just long enough and gave us a good selection. Horses are well looked after.

My family and I had an amazing experience with Hunter valley horses on the 2/9 afternoon. I was a first time horse rider and didn’t feel confident riding the horses . Chloe, the trainer was lovely and catering which made me comfortable and calm. She also shared knowledges with me about the horses. Furthermore , the trail was beautiful and the horses were exceptionally trained and clean. Highly recommended and definitely coming back

Interesting wine tasting tour Great way to do some wine-tasting especially if you have children. The tour was interesting & Liam was a great tour guide. Nice cheese & chocolate tasting as well. Overall good experience.

OK experience but feel completely ripped off doing the 45 minute tour. Better value doing the 3hr experience for more. The house riding part was short (10 minutes each way) but good. Jacky was nice. The disappointment was that we paid $110 for a 45 minute horse carriage ride and wine tasting experience with chocolate. Nothing was ready when we arrived because the first winery Polkobin Estate? said that their wifi was down. That was OK then half way i realised there was no chocolate pairing included. I checked my booking and told the team but they said they were told it was just wine tasting. I showed him my booking details which clearly stated from luxury escapes what was included. Terry kind of dismissed it and it was too late anyway. I was expecting him to give us all chocolates take away since that's that was included. The wine tasting itself was an average experience too. They poured the smallest amount of wine. I've been to 3 wineries that cost me $15-20 that poured much more wine. If the entire experience cost $50 my expectations would be lower but I feel like I paid for a nice, short horse and carriage only. We also got the kids tasting experience, 6 coloured juice and lollies. It looked cute but my kids said later it wasn't very nice tasting. The rest of the group did a 3 hour tour for a bit more $$. I think the tour would have gotten better from there since a couple wineries and chocolate shop were included, that seemed much better value for money. I just feel ripped off paying almost $400 for my family.

Our family enjoyed a 30-minute horse ride along a beautiful bushland trail, followed by a self-guided farm tour where we had the chance to feed a variety of animals. It was such a fun and memorable experience! The kids absolutely loved riding the horses, and it was a joy to watch them interact up close with friendly animals like chickens, ducks, donkeys, goats, sheep, llamas, cows, pigs, and even an ostrich. A perfect day filled with nature, laughter, and hands-on learning!

Such a amazing place, staff are so friendly and helpful, we were 4 people group did horse riding for 1 hour. Such a quite and beautiful place, will visit again and again.

I won a voucher to Hunter Valley Horses a couple of weeks ago at Maccas and booked a 1 hour trail ride. It was SO much fun, the staff were so lovely and I just chatted to one of the trainers the whole time and she told me all about each horse and how much she loves them. They care so much for the animals there and it was so amazing, just had THE BEST time!!!! beautiful trail, gorgeous horse just epic. Can’t believe I won it from Maccas too, so awesome. Will definitely be back!! Highly recommend.

my girlfriend and I did the sunset trek and it was amazing. Gemma was our guide and she was fantastic. very friendly and had very clear instructions. she was very good with the horses and just made the experience super comfortable. we had never ridden horses before and with Gemma's help we felt like we had been doing it for years. a great experience that we would highly recommend

Fantastic tour with Liam and the horses through the Hunter Having heard great things from friends, we booked the carriage and wine tour for our weekend in the Hunter. The company had wonderful communication with us and went above and beyond to ensure we had a quality experience. Our carriage driver Liam was so friendly, calm and knowledgeable of the area. He really made the whole experience stress free. It was pleasing to see the horses were in great condition and were happy to have us pat them and take photos. We thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of the tour and can’t recommend the company enough! Thank you. ☺️

Amazing # bucketlist We had an amazing time. I had to convince hubby to come along and couldn't wipe the smile of his face the whole time in the end haha. It was new years day and was feeling so grateful the team and the local cellars including the chocolate and cheese shop were open. We were lucky to have Jade and Michelle in the drivers seat. The best part was definitely being in the carriage and seeing what travel used to be but the absolute highlight was Max and Blossom. These 2 beautiful horses were absolutely full of personality and just had us all in stitches the whole tour. Can't wait to book again!

We had the best time at Hunter Valley horses! We did the private tour with Tom who was so friendly and knowledgeable and kept us entertained for the journey. The horses were so placid and clearly well trained which makes it suitable even for people who have never rode a horse before. We also purchased the general admission to the farm which meant we could go around and feed all of the animals! Overall we had a great time and will definitely be back!

We did the sunrise horseback riding. It was such a peaceful and beautiful experience that we’ll remember forever! Both my husband and I were complete beginners and felt safe as the horses were calm and clearly knew the track. I would definitely recommend Hunter Valley Horses.

I recently had the pleasure of joining Hunter Valley Horses for a tour around Tamburlaine, and it was nothing short of amazing! From start to finish, it was a perfect introduction to the beauty of the Hunter Valley region and its wineries. Riding on a horse-drawn carriage for the first time was such a unique experience, made even more special by the stunning views of the vineyards and the peaceful charm of the surroundings.

Did the Horse and Carriage Wine Tour. Jade our host was very welcoming and made us feel comfortable right away. We could see how much she loves and cares about the horses.

Fun with horses and wine! This is not a fancy carriage trip, it's no-frills, heavy horses and cart with a Western vibe and it's great fun! Our driver was very friendly and great company (we were the only two to have booked that morning, which we considered a real bonus). A relaxing, enjoyable way to experience what the Hunter Valley has to offer.

Not worth it The tour is not worth the money. They shortened our tour by 1 hour. They took us to 2 wineries instead of the 3 advertised. The cheese and chocolate tasting is so poor they give u 3 tiny cubes of cheese 1cm square cubes there was finger prints on the cheese. The same was for the chocolate which was going white cause it was stale. The carriage ride is very short the carriage is extremely dirty not worth the money and disappointing the time wasn’t as advertised.

A fabulous way to experience the Hunter Valley! We had a fabulous time! Thanks to Kaylee for taking us round and for her cheerful chatter between the stops. The horses, Max and Jack, were lovely and very friendly. Highly recommended!

Visited the farm for a horse-drawn carriage ride and a pony ride for my son. My son had such an amazing experience riding on the horse for the 1st time of his life! The view from the carriage was more than stunning. Girls there were very professional and responsible. They made our holiday unforgettable and special ❤️ We would love to go back again.

Our ride with Laura and Keeley was an exceptional experience! Me and my 3 girlfriend had an amazing time and would definitely recommend. They were very knowledgeable and took our experience into account. They were able to maintain our safety and were extremely welcoming. Couldn’t recommend them more :)

We did a Horse Drawn Carriage Ride and this was the first thing we did when arriving in the Hunter and it was honestly one of the best! We ended up with a carriage all to ourselves by chance despite it being a Saturday Morning! So lucky! Our driver Rod was the nicest man - so great to chat to and learn about the local spots from!
We got to go too 2 wineries a cheese shop and a chocolate shop (tasting all included in the cost) as well as take a leisurely ride through the bush and through vineyards. We also got to ride on the road with cars which was unexpected but very very cool!
The horse were so lovely and I cannot over state how much fun we had!
It is worth the cost and I would do it again 100% when we come back and recommened it to all!

He was not only a skilled driver, but also a great storyteller and guide. He shared with us interesting facts and anecdotes about the Hunter Valley, the horses, and the wineries we visited. He was also very attentive and courteous, making sure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves. The carriage itself was elegant and cozy. The horses were beautiful and well-behaved, and the Coachman handled them with care and respect. The tour was a perfect balance of relaxation, education, and fun. I highly recommend the carriage Coachman and his horse-drawn tour to anyone who wants to explore the Hunter Valley in style

Great way to do a wine tour/tasting We had a wonderful time on our horse and cart and our driver, was great answering questions and giving us useful info on area. We thoroughly enjoyed the wine tasting part of the trip, we enjoyed the cheese too. The chocolate tasting was nice but could have been more interesting chocolates as a lot of it was sweets. But we would highly recommend this tour

Hunter Valley Get-away Nice escape from the city's chaos! Get to try different wines from various wineries! Our guide, Liam (if I recall correctly), was incredibly welcoming and warm, adding a friendly touch to the experience. The break from urban hustle made this getaway truly enjoyable.
