Incredible experience @Hardys Tintara We had an incredible time at Hardy’s Tintara, experiencing’Tasting in the Dark’.
Our host Alistair was very knowledgeable and knew how to engage with our group.
Hardy’s has so much history and of course delightful wines!

Hardys- Tasting in the Dark- magnificent! Such a wonderful surprise birthday present for my husband! Rachel, our guide/winemaker was fabulous in setting up the scene to make us aware how important our senses are in delivering information to our brain. Well organised and scheduled, and we enjoyed some wonderful wines , which get changed around for the tastings, so no cheating!!! Our first round was poured with blindfolds on so we didn’t see the wine and so she could light the candles etc. Black glasses made it impossible to tell by sight what the wine may be. We used our senses.
We had another lovely couple join us, who were enjoying a Mystery Picnic Event. We had a lot of laughs and learnt new things!!!!!
A really great experience.
We also joined the Wine Club and get 25% discount on their wines and also at a variety of wineries .due very soon to add more wineries to that list due to a merger!!!
Highly recommend it, and also a visit to the Fleurieu Arthouse on the same property gobsmackingly inspirational and open from Thursday to Sunday 11-4pm

Nice visit to iconic winery Excellent service attitude. We arrived very near closing hour, staff obliged to allow the wine tasting session, which was informative and warm. Good quality wine of course.

Worth visiting, whether you’re a wine enthusiast or history fan Well established, well set out and maintained historical winery and grounds. Very picturesque, especially on a fine sunny day. The staff were welcoming and friendly and pleased to talk about the various wines for tasting.
A separate building provides artisans with work spaces and a gallery to show and sell their works-definitely worth visiting too.

Taste testing The cellar door was magnificent and the grounds are the best in McLaren Vale. The shady fig trees and open grounds are perfect for a picnic or just relaxing with a bit of lunch.

Nice spot for a drink & lunch Enjoyed our wine tasting experience and shared platter of food. Staff probably not quite as attentive as other wineries that we had visited but then Hardys wine sells itself!

Hardly Worth It Attractive winery but the tasting experience was pretty ordinary as were the wines. Probably need to visit this one early in the day when the staff might be a bit more enthusiastic.

Lovely and picturesque Was only able to make a very short visit, however what id did see was a stunning place with a great layout and very picturesque. As you walk around and can see instantly it is well kept and clean and tidy, the staff are lovely. I went to collect an order but will definitely be going back for a full visit and wine tasting, excellent location amd well worth a visit for the wine lovers.

Just Superb How lucky are we! we love Hardys and drink quite a bit of it in the UK!

A wonderful experience Our small group undertook the Icon Wine tasting at Hardys recently and thoroughly enjoyed it. We would recommend it to anyone who is interested in the world of wine. Marty was a wonderful host and gave us an insight into the history of the Winery and the region.

Beautiful old buildings and history We chose this winery because we knew the name and thought it would be a good first stop. It certainly was and we loved visiting the older building and reading the history of Hardy wines in this area. We were also intrigued with the family history of this winery. We didn't really need to but decided while we were here to do a tasting so I tried a Fiano which I believe is an Italian blend and thought it was a good white wine.
