Tim your local tour guide, is an ecologist and zoologist who guarantees you a fun and inspiring tour. Explore the wonders of Magnetic Island’s west coast, including wildlife, koala and conservation hot spots, history and World Heritage highlights, and everything in between. A refreshing complimentary morning spread includes a comforting cup of tea,
energizing coffee, or chilled juice, paired with a shared seasonal fruit
platter and classic sweet treats.
We will take a slow bus trip along the West Point road as we explore mangroves, forests, waterfalls, creeks, as well as historic and cultural sites. Some points of interest will vary according to tides and weather, (i.e., mangroves at high or low tide, and waterfalls in or out of wet season).

All walks will be short and easy in nature. This tour offers a more a relaxing wander rather than an active adventure.
We have a drop down step to the bus that also makes accessibility easier.

A relaxing trip for couples to enjoy a romantic sunset evening out, with a bit extra!
A great way to combine a trip to West Point with a sunset walk along the beach, a light dinner, and an education in a little of Maggie Island’s ecology.
Tim was an excellent guide, safe driver, super friendly whilst also giving us space to explore.
We saw a wild Koala, possum and birds. We learned about some of the history of the Island, the plants and wildlife.
This is a MUST-DO activity for adults if you’re visiting Magnetic Island!!!
His knowledge of fauna and flora, his engagement with an audience and his hospitality was first rate! I highly recommend MI Ride to everyone.
Tim was knowledgeable and informative; I learnt a lot about the flora and fauna of Magnetic Island and the effort that Islanders make towards conservation.
Anyone visiting 'Maggie' should take this tour!
We saw 5 koalas and Tim takes the time to tell us all about the things he knows. Thanks Tim, you are amazing!!
The tour ended with a lovely picnic on West Point Beach.
Highly recommend
We got to Westpoint just before sunset and Tim set up a beautiful picnic table with nibbles and drinks for us. Needless to say the sunset was magnificent.
We really enjoyed the tour
Well worth the experience
The drinks and platter was superb and thank you to Sara for making the delicious pesto.
Would definitely recommend this trip. You may even see some turtles poking their heads out of the water during sunset. A lovely relaxing setting.
The whole experience was really enjoyable and relaxing.
We would do this again !
A very positive experience we would highly recommend.

koalas ????, black stork and raptors in the wild. Tim is great guide ????
We have learned so much about this beautiful part of the island. Very nice tour!
We recommend this tour 100%.
I did this as a solo backpacker, and it turned out that I was the only one for that day that booked in for the tour. Tim made the experience a buck list experience for me; a very genuine and nice guy, has lots of knowledge of wild life and nature, knowing where all the best spots are for that time of year. I sore a koala bears and more, and it was all perfectly tied together at the end with a very nice bistro of snacks and beverages, on a comfy chair and table watching the sun set on a beach with very little people on it.
I would highly recommend doing this, not just because it's a fantastic experience but also a very good way to see the West Coast which can be difficult without a proper vehicle and know how.
Definitely worth the money and time, really good tour guide and a unique experience I well definitely be telling everyone when I get back home!
????????
