Nice little park in the heart of Darwin I visited this park solo female traveler in September. I booked the VIP croc tour and it was just myself and a family of three. The tour guide was very nice and had a lot of good information. We got to feed a large croc during the tour and hold a baby crocodile and other reptiles as well. I felt it was worth the extra money.

Keeper presentations throughout the day are a must. Watched a snake getting fed a dead rat which was amazing!
Our Whipray feeding encounter with Taylor was fabulous and well worth the money. Such a unique experience!! Had so much fun 😁

The whole facility is amazing considering it is in the middle of the city. Well maintained enclosures and so many interactive experiences included with ticket price. Highly recommend!

Great fun and very interesting Crocosaurus Cove is home to some very large saltwater crocodiles plus a sizeable collection of other indigenous reptiles. We had booked VIP tickets which meant we had a personalised tour in a small group, led by the excellent Tiffany. We got to feed one of the large crocodiles, Wendell, as well as some of the juveniles and we also got to hold a young crocodile (who got very cross and struggled violently!) We met Leo, a very large crocodile who was originally brought to the facility by a farmer who, fed up of having his cattle eaten by Leo, trapped him and brought him to the sanctuary where he has lived ever since. We really enjoyed our morning at Crocosaurus Cove and our guide Tiffany was absolutely fabulous.

Well worth the money, not a huge place but plenty to see. Like how you could look around then leave, then if you wanted to come back later you were given a wrist band to come back later in the same day. Gift shop was reasonably priced.

What can I say, this is a magnificent attraction to visit, plenty of crocodiles to see and interact with, you can feed the young crocs and even have a photo or six with a young croc as well, the staff are magnificent the very large crocodiles are a great experience to see and your hole family will love this place, there a more wild life than guest crocodile, lizard snakes and even fish of all types.please visit this place when in Darwin👍

Crocosaurus Cove is a fantastic attraction and definitely worth visiting while in Darwin. It offers an amazing opportunity to see some of Australia’s largest crocodiles up close, along with an impressive reptile section featuring a variety of snakes, lizards, and frogs. The exhibits are well maintained and informative, making the experience enjoyable for both adults and children. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and happy to answer questions, which made the visit even better. A great place to learn about Australia’s unique wildlife and a must-visit attraction in the city

I really enjoyed going to Crocosaurus Cove it had quite a bit to offer I haven't been there for a long time They had a few crocodiles on display to look at also a very good reptile room that had lots of snakes lizards and frogs certainly worth checking out.

What a fantastic facility for conservation and education on such a magnificent creature. I did the cage of death and it was the best experience ever. Worthwhile spending the money and doing it. I was lowered in with William and to be literally inches away and having direct eye contact was amazing. A must do for every tourist.

I had such a great time at Crocosaurus Cove! I went on a weekday and getting in was quick. The exhibits were interesting, and seeing the crocodiles so close was really cool. It's a truly memorable place and I definitely recommend it.

The owners do their best We went out to Corroboree Billabong and saw a couple of crocodiles in the wild. When we came back to Darwin the next day we thought we would have a look at the Cove. They do their best and run the place very well, but as we have seen all over the world; zoos and confined animals are not something we are enamoured with. These poor crocodiles living in one swimming pool per croc means that they are not living in a natural environment and despite the people trying to do their best, these animals are in prison.

Worth a visit I wasn't expecting too much considering it's location in the city but Crocosaurus Cove was quite good. The reptile displays were extensive & the reptiles healthy. The drawcard was obviously the Cage of Death, and although we didn't have a go it was fun watching others. There was a lot of interesting information about crocodiles & the ray & fish feeding show was enjoyable.

Cracking Day at the Cage of Death! It's been a few years since I visited Crocosaurus Cove but it's an amazing and thrilling experience I will never forget!
The atmosphere is thrilling as you see crocodiles and other exotic animals all over the premises.
I found myself here for 2 hours on my length of visit, this covered the well known Cage of Death and other different experience.
Seeing these magnificent beast up close and personal is simply jaw dropping but thrilling as well.

On a bit of a whim, we booked onto the VIP experience which was very awesome and definitely worth it - an engaging and interesting “behind the scenes” vibe with several reptile encounters and lots of fun facts + questions answered. Highly recommend this option if you are visiting - thank you very much to our guides Zoe and Mai!

Crocodile Close-up If you’re visiting the Crocosaurus Cove and want to experience something unique, the “Cage of Death” will certainly tick that box! Being immersed in a cylindrical, Perspex (and importantly, crocodile-proof!) tube, the additional cost activity is actually a very surreal and special close-up encounter with a magnificent animal. To be this close to an apex predator, eye-to-eye, was an extraordinary experience. Being able to view him from all angles and so close, enabled a unique perspective on the sheer size of this 5.1 metre, 850kg leviathan. The Cove itself was well set out for a city-based venue (if not a little tired in places), with very interesting and informative information panels strategically placed throughout. The croc feeding tour was enlightening and we really enjoyed the opportunity to get up close and feed the juvenile crocodiles. All in all, we were surprised to find the three hours went by quickly.

If you love animals don’t go We expected to like this but from the moment we walked in we felt it was very poorly maintained and dirty. The glass was so dirty in some enclosures you could barely see the animals.
The animals had so little space to move around including the reptile house that it felt inhumane, one lizard just pacing across the front of his small enclosure backwards and forwards.
It was very sad and we expected better.
Perhaps this is ok for small children who don’t understand what is happening there.

VIP big croc experience We done the VIP big croc experience. Big shout out to our host Tiffany, who provided outstanding service for the entire duration of our tour. She was funny, patient and incredibly knowledgeable. 5 star experience!

Thrills and more Visited today 12/02/2026 specifically to do the "Cage of Death".

We were feeling a bit nervous but that was all put aside following the safety talk and meeting some of the Team. The Team were all passionate about the animals in their care.

It should be noted that the large crocs were "rescued" after being labelled as "problems".

All of the animals we saw looked well cared for.

The "Cage of Death" was an amazing experience, giving us the ability to look eye to eye with a live crocodile only an inch from our faces. Remember, these crocodiles would have been euthanised had they not been brought to Crocosaurus Cove.

10/10 experience Amazing! Of course I was nervous to go in but not at any point did I feel scared or uncomfortable. It’s an unbelievable experience to share the water with such an amazing animal and literally look it straight in the eye as it stares right back at you. Staff was amazing and the photographer did a great job. Worth every penny. Thanks to the team for the great experience. Could not have been better:)

Great way to get close to some large crocodiles as well as other aquatic animals and reptiles. Well worth the money

Well worth a visit. Discount tickets avilable through bookme which we did. There is also the added option of swimming with a croc in a glass tube. Big reptile house and you can feed the baby crocs which is included in admission.

Not what I expected - the conditions are very saddening This is not what I expected. It’s very sad to see massive crocodiles in pools that are practically no longer than their own bodies. In my opinion, the enclosures for the snakes and other small reptiles are also far too small. The worst part was seeing juvenile crocodiles with their snouts taped shut for photos. I believe that in 2025, people should be ashamed of taking these photos for fun and supporting this practice.

All the hype is unwarranted Disappointed in this visit. The whole place was very tired looking and badly in need of a facelift. Not worth it for the price.

Really enjoyed my visit to Crocosaurus Cove. I got to see some massive saltwater crocodiles up close, and the place offers a fun and interesting tour where you can learn more, explore the tanks, and even take photos inside. It’s a great experience for both adults and kids.

They also have the famous Cage of Death, where you go down in a clear capsule inside the crocodile tank. I didn’t do it because I was too scared lol but it definitely looks unforgettable.

Overall, a very cool and unique experience in the heart of Darwin. Worth a visit!

On the plus side the Cage of Death (although sounding dramatic) was such a great experience, what a brilliant way to get super close to a massive Crocodile. My partner and I shared the experience and we thought it was on a par or better than the swimming with Whale Sharks in WA.
On the negative side a lot of the enclosures for the Crocs and the other reptiles were in poor condition, what I mean is the Perspex was scratched or crazed or dirty, viewing was difficult or obstructed in many cases. Even the cage of death needed a polish to remove the scratching, also the radio mic needed new batteries as the PA kept dropping the voice of our guide.
Overall it was a very good experience and the staff were fabulous.

Hidden Gem for Reptile Lovers in the Heart of Darwin As a lifelong wildlife lover and avid herper, I visited several major institutions across Australia, including Taronga Zoo and the Australian Reptile Park. Surprisingly, both were a bit of a letdown when it came to showcasing native Australian reptiles.

Crocosaurus Cove, on the other hand, absolutely exceeded my expectations. While its advertising leans toward the flashy — “Cage of Death,” “Swim with Crocs,” and similar thrill-oriented attractions — it would be a mistake to dismiss it as just another tourist spectacle. Behind the showmanship lies one of the best and most comprehensive collections of native Northern Territory reptiles I encountered anywhere in Australia.

The variety was outstanding — from a full lineup of venomous snakes to rare and regionally unique lizards and monitors, including species you’d be hard-pressed to find anywhere else. The displays were well-maintained and informative, and the animals looked healthy and active.

If you’re genuinely interested in Australia’s native reptile fauna, don’t overlook Crocosaurus Cove just because of its flashy marketing. It’s a real treasure for anyone passionate about reptiles and Australian wildlife. Highly recommended.

Disappointing Friendly staff: however place is overrated and well worn for the price and how it is marketed.
Feel for the crocs in such small enclosures and left wondering how this is even acceptable.

Needs TLC Think this was once a great place to visit Now I feel it needs a makeover and a paint etc. I even felt sorry for the crocodiles in such small enclosures The inclosure with the replies was good and got to hold a snake

Overhyped and mainly for kids, attractions are standard and very basic. The croc feeding is comedic at best. You can certainly hold the baby crocs, but the picture is $35. The swimming with the crocs looked super lame as well. The croc just sits there while you splash about in a plastic container for $$$$! Like other reviews stated, the other park is better, especially for the crazy entrance fee.

What a great experience! A must do while your in Darwin, the staff are great and friendly too! Make sure you catch the variety of feeding and informative shows they have. Recommended getting the pass out at lunch and grabbing some local cuisine before heading back in for the arvo. Cool little gift shop also

Crocosaurus Cove Darwin If you want an exciting day out in Darwin definitely visit Crocosaurus Cove and book the VIP tour. It is well worth it. You get to feed a crocodiles and hold baby crocodiles and reptiles. You might also get to watch the Cage of Death and see Whip Rays and fish feeding. You also get to take home photos of your crocodile feeding. A great day out.

Awesome day out, well worth the money we spent. We witnessed a snake eating a rat! We held a lizard & a snake at no extra cost, we seen many snakes, crocodiles, turtles and lizards. Crocodile show was fantastic, when in Darwin we would go the again.

So much fun A great experience - staff were fantastic and they fitted us in at short notice. Thankyou for a great day. And best of all is the location - so great in the middle of town.

We really enjoyed Crocosaurus cove. Good viewing of the crocodiles with feeding sessions. Lots of reptiles to see and there was a snake and reptile show. We also got to see the people in the clear cage swim in the croc pool. All exhibits were easy to see. It's in the city and easy to get to. I would recommend a visit.

Highly recommend you check this place out. For 40$ AUD per adult, you can get a fun enough experience. You can pay more to do things like feed the crocodiles and swim in a tank nearby. This place is mind blowing for sure as I’ve never seen an animal that large from up close. You don’t need to buy tickets in advance for the basic entry ticket. I am unsure if you have to buy in advance for the other options.

Had a ball We did the croc experience. It was fantastic and well organised. The reptile exhibit was also great. All wildlife seemed well fed and in great shape.

Within Chomping Distance!! Outstanding attraction, the staff on the Cage of Death were excellent, knowledgable and caring. The experience of being so close and viewing a 5 metre Crocodile was breath taking. Memories were created which will live on in our minds and photos.

The reptile enclosure, walkthrough was very well spaced with heaps of information on each exhibition.
The highlight was seeing the staff feed the crocodiles. We even had the chance to feed baby crocodiles which was amazing.

Junior Rangers - Jan 25 School Holidays A great program for the kids over the school holidays. This is the second time we’ve done it and the boys love being Junior Rangers!

We had an awesome day at the Cove! The Cage of Death experience was awesome as were the shows, crocodile, fish and turtle feeding and the hatchling "fishing" experience is not to be missed! All the staff were lovely and extremely knowledgeable.

Great experience Booked the cage of death and was amazing. Make sure to speak to the photographer beforehand to get some tips before going in the cage to get the most out of your photo opportunity. Made it in time for a croc feed show as well

We did the VIP tour at Crocosaurus Cove today and I highly recommend it.
Located in the middle of Darwin, they offer the chance to get up close and personal with salt water crocs, snakes, lizards and more.
The crocs are huge and our guide Tahli was fantastic, she was very knowledgeable and took the time to answer any and all questions.
Unfortunately, the cage of death was booked out so we missed out on that but it did look fun.

Happy not to be food! We had a great time sitting in the water with Leo the Croc. Staff were very informative, letting us know how much the croc would like to eat us.

Worth it for the swim with the crocodiles. Went mainly to swim with the crocs, did not disappoint. The displays were good, but the whole site needs a few dollars spent on it.

Great day out for family/couples/solos Had a lovely morning at Crocosaurus, husband did the swim with the crocodile. He loved every minute. Lots to see, staff were very informative. Kids would love it too.

Lots of fun Fantastic experience overall. Did the VIP tour, the Cage of Death and the Whipray feed. All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The enclosures and the animals were incredibly. Got there at 9.00 and didn’t leave until closing time.

A great place to get up close and personal with NT wildlife. Reptile exhibits interesting but loved seeing all the growth stages of crocs from egg to fully grown adult. Watched some intrepid swimmers immersed in tubes right next to a hungry adult croc being fed

The guides and staff members are really friendly, overall we had a good experience in this park. You could swim with crocks and pet baby crocks.

This place would a be a nice addition in your Darwin trip, if you still have enough time after exploring the natural beauty NT has to offer.
