The itinerary was well balanced—visiting a selection of wineries, enjoying a delicious lunch with beautiful views, and spending time at the Healesville Sanctuary where we saw koalas, baby Tasmanian devils, kangaroos, and even a joey.

Paul was an excellent guide—punctual, very knowledgeable about Melbourne and the Yarra Valley, and extremely accommodating. The van was comfortable and made the day even more enjoyable.

Great day of animals and wine A greqt day in the Yarra Valley. Our guide was extremely informative about Melbourne, wineries, and (for us) Australia in general. It was a pleasure to be in his competent hands. Seeing the animals (and the bird show) at the Healesville Sanctuary was a great experience. One can really get close and experience them. The wine tastings and the lunch and cheese pairings were a pleasure. We are glad to have spent the day this way and recommend this tour.

Wonderful experience! A must to get out of Melbourne proper and see the beautiful Yarra Valley. We spent the morning at the Healesville Sanctuary. Be sure to check out the bird show at noon. We then went to two separate wineries with tastings and lunch. Try the kangaroo, you won’t be disappointed. Our tour guide, Paul, was one of the best parts of the entire trip. Knowledgeable and funny, he kept us entertained the whole trip and showed us a secret kangaroo spot before we made our way back to the city. An unforgettable day.

We had a wonderful day with Paul with Vinetrekker. We had a very upscale experience with private seating and fine wines. The vineyards were beautiful. I especially loved Paul taking us by fields with wild kangaroos. Paul’s Mercedes van was very comfortable, and Paul was a great tour guide and very knowledgeable about wines and the area. Lunch was delicious with numerous choices. It was a great day and well worth the money.

A perfect blend of the Yarra Valley's offerings. The tour was absolutely perfect. It checked all the boxes I wanted: kangaroos, koalas, and wine. Plus more! My guide, Rob, was absolutely lovely and knew so much about all the animals in the sanctuary and about the wine. Both wine venues were beautiful, and having our our little menu or tasting was great. The kangaroo for lunch is not to be missed! It was a long day, but it went by so fast. This is a must do for anyone who wants to explore outside the city of Melbourne.

This should be on your itinerary This tour exceeded expectations. Paul was extremely well organised and proved to be a very courteous and knowledgeable guide. The Healesville Sanctuary was brilliant. This organisation is to be commended for it’s approach to animal husbandry and conservation. We were lucky enough to have the fabulous Geoff as our tour guide. Geoff had an encyclopaedic knowledge of native Australian wildlife. The lunch at Yering Station matched the amazing scenery.

Amazing trip with Rob This trip is definitely an amazing experience. So lucky for us to have Rob as our tour guide, he is lovely and kind. I also buy a book of the surfing dog of Rob. The wine and the food in Yalla River is fantastic. And the bird show in the zoo is also awesome.

Where do I start? Vinetrekker is the most amazing experience any one is lucky to have had. The first time was somewhat of a fluke when the concierge at our hotel recommended this particular tour. Best wine tour in the Yarra! We went on a wine tour with this company after a very early start to the morning doing a hot air balloon ride over the Yarra Valley. We thought we were going to be tired but we enjoyed the day thanks to our fantastic guide Rob! He made sure we were entertained and had enough time to soak in every detail from all the wineries we visited. Definitely booking with them again!

My Fiancee and I booked Paul’s tour a couple of weeks ago. This experience was amazing and I would recommend to anyone. Paul was very responsive and such a pleasant guide. He picked us up a couple blocks from our apartment and taught us so much about the surrounding area of Melbourne. The sanctuary was so cool, and we were up close to animals only native to the area. Following up we had an amazing lunch at the first vineyard. We two wine tastings at some of the best vineyards in Yarra Valley. The second included cheese and crackers. Paul was with us at every step and made sure our experience was the best. I would recommend this tour to anyone, and it’s worth every penny. Thank you for the best experience!

I fully recommend this very high quality wine tour in the Yarra Valley. The tour is comfortable and interesting from start to finish. We were picked up and dropped off at our hotel. The tour is very interesting and the wineries were fabulous. We had an excellent lunch and several cheese tastings as well as the wine tasting. Our driver Cam, was knowledgeable and pointed out lots of things of interest on the way. Communication with the company was swift and reactive. A wonderful way to spend a day when you're visiting Melbourne.

We chose a wine and wildlife combined tour. First, the tour guide to visitors ratio was perfect. There won’t be too many people in the tour, unlike some other companies. Secondly, Our driver Shane was very friendly and knowledgeable. The wineries we visited were excellent. They served us good wines and cheeses more than expected. The lunch was delicious too.

The Healesville Sanctuary they chose was excellent too. We met all the animals we want to see. My son loved it very much.

We highly recommend this combined wine and wildlife tour, especially you have kids. Both parents and kids loved it.

We visited a diverse selection of 5 wineries and at each one there was plenty of time to sample the wines and buy any that appealed. Excellent lunch too at Yering station. Our guide CAM was friendly and knowledgeable.

My wife and I did a private day tour of the Yarra Valley with Paul from Vine Trekker and we couldn’t have been happier with the experience! Paul is not only extremely knowledgeable about wine and the region itself, but knows many of the vineyard owners, workers, and wine makers. He catered the tour based on our wine preferences, which saw us visit Chandon for sparkling wine, then Medhurst for reds and Dominique for more wonderful reds and lunch.
We opted for a tour with Paul over the hop on/hop off option and would do it 10/10 times!

Wine and Wildlife combined make an absolutely magical day. Paul took very good care of us all day and made the whole trip special. The wineries we visited were some of the best and the wine so good we bought some to have shipped home. Paul was kind enough to take care of all the shipping details. The Healesville Sanctuary is amazing. We had Ian as our guide and he was knowledgeable, funny and nice. We saw all the animals we wanted to see; all sorts of kangaroos, the cutest Koalas, Tasmanian devils, dingos, platypus, colorful birds and more. Would definitely recommend.

We recently joined Paul from Vinetrekker for a spectacular day of wine tasting and lunch in the Yarra Valley. It was truly one of the best wine tasting experiences we have had. The itinerary took our small group to 5 different wineries each offering different characteristics in their atmosphere and experiences. The wine and cheese pairing at De Bortoli was incredible and a great way to kick off the day. Lunch at Yering Station provided breathtaking views and delicious food. This wine tour was exceptional. Myself and some colleagues were in Melbourne for work and had a spare day at the weekend so we booked this trip to get a taste of what the Yarra Vally had to offer.

There were 7 people on our tour, and the maximum group size is capped so it's perfect if you want a more exclusive experience. At the first two wineries we were in dedicated tasting rooms, away from the general wine tasting areas open to anyone.

We stopped at 5 wineries, tasted around 40 different wines and had a delicious lunch at Yering Station, with wine and coffee.

Paul, our guide, was brilliant - knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming. He even took a small detour en route for us to get a close up look at some Kangaroos in Kangaroo Ground. As a first time visitor to Australia, this was really appreciated.

If you want a premium wine tasting experience, this represents amazing value for money - don't hesitate to book it.

The tour started at 0845 with a pickup directly outside my accommodation. The tour guide, Cam, was fantastic. He was friendly and welcoming when he greeted us.

During the tour, he drove from Melbourne CBD to the Yarra Valley via the scenic route which was lovely for people who haven't been here before and he has a wealth of knowledge around a lot of areas.

Once we arrived to the Yarra Valley we stopped off at our first winery. Cam had extensive knowledge of all the wineries we stopped off at and was able to contribute great info during the tasting sessions.

The structure of the tour itself was great and any wines purchased, Cam would take care of so we didn't have to carry it around with us and back to the van. He made sure it was labelled so it wouldn't be mixed up.

As the tour I had booked only had another 2 guests who had booked, it was nice to be able to socialise in the small group and make some good conversations between everyone.

The lunch at Yering Station was devine! And a glass of wine included was fantastic. Throughout the tour there were also nibbles provided and at the final winery it was also a matched wine and cheese tasting. Once we got dropped off we were completely full of wine and food, just how a Yarra Valley wine tour should be!

I think the only 2 or 3 things I could really recommend or suggest is that, while water is available at each winery, maybe having some bottled water available in the van incase anyone needs it.

While some of us were seated in the front row of the van, I feel like it may have been a struggle for the back row to hear Cam when he was talking about the different wineries or just general information of the area, so possibly having some sort of microphone system just to play through the van audio speakers.

Before leaving the final winery, maybe just letting people know the time it'll take to Travel back to Melbourne and maybe planning a quick bathroom stop if anyone needs it. Given we visit five wineries, it's bound to happen at some point that a toilet stop would be appericated. Although I'm sure if someone asked then Cam would accommodate it.

Overall, I would highly recommend this tour to anyone considering it! The price paid is worth it!

The tour was perfectly planned and provided great introduction to Yarra Valley and to the wild life of Australia in the Healesville sanctuary. The vineries of the visit are surrounded by great scenery. During the tour we were provided with a lot of information on the valley by guide Paul, the place for lunch was gorgeous with great food. Also we had a guide in Healsesville, what was not promised, but was a great add-in to the tour. Highly recommended.
