HIGHLIGHTS
- Yabby Lake Vineyard
- Crittenden Estate
- Quealy Vineyard
- Merricks General Store
- Ten Minutes by Tractor Vineyards
We start our day around 8:45am and travel through Melbourne’s bayside suburbs enroute to the Mornington Peninsula which is located to the south-east. The first stop for the day is the Yabby Lake Vineyard. Established in 1998 the vineyard produces consistently good wines from both estate and regional grown grapes. These include Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir and Shiraz. Biscuits and cheese complement the tastings.
A short drive away is the Crittenden Estate Vineyard at Dromana. One of the first commercial vineyards on the Peninsula, their origins go back to 1984 so some of the oldest vines are producing exceptional quality fruit. After the tasting, continue through to the quirky Quealy Vineyard at Balnarring. With a focus on Italian inspired wines, their approach is a little left of centre and will leave an impression.
Close by is the Merricks General Store where a relaxed a la carte lunch in rustic surroundings can be enjoyed.
After lunch, visit the Ten Minutes by Tractor Vineyards at Main Ridge.

The atmosphere was very friendly, with plenty of engaging conversations and valuable insights from Shane as well as the winery staff.
We enjoyed excellent tastings, a great variety of wines, beautiful landscapes, and a welcoming environment. We learned so much and had an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend it.

Paul was an excellent guide—punctual, very knowledgeable about Melbourne and the Yarra Valley, and extremely accommodating. The van was comfortable and made the day even more enjoyable.
Overall, it was a wonderful experience and we highly recommend Vinetrekker Wine Tours.

The food was amazing, awesome wine tasting and Rob our guide took really good care of us !

Would 100% recommend

Communication before the trip and throughout the day was very good.
We did 5 wineries/wine tastings and they were all of a very high quality, and all different which made it fun. Lunch at Yering was superb!

Each stop on the tour had unique aspects and made it worth the visit. Highly recommend!!
Paul was an excellent guide and very informative.
Both wine tasting and lunch was great allowing you to sample the Yarra Valley delights.
The animal sanctuary was fantastic and a must is the Kangaroo experience allowing you to feed them. Book in advance to avoid disappointment.
Highly recommended!!!
The Healesville Sanctuary they chose was excellent too. We met all the animals we want to see. My son loved it very much.
We highly recommend this combined wine and wildlife tour, especially you have kids. Both parents and kids loved it.

If you only do one wine tour whilst in Melbourne then this is the one to do folks.
We opted for a tour with Paul over the hop on/hop off option and would do it 10/10 times!
Paul’s knowledge and expertise truly enhanced our experience.
Throughout the tour, His passion for wine and the region shone through, making the journey not only informative but incredibly enjoyable.
We felt privileged to have Paul as our guide.
His attention to detail and professionalism were evident from the moment we met. His punctuality, organization, and ability to keep the group engaged were commendable.
Paul had meticulously planned the tour, ensuring that we we visited the most renowned wineries and experienced the best of what the region had to offer.
We left with a deeper understanding and appreciation for the art of winemaking, as well as the rich history and culture of the region. It was an unforgettable experience that we will cherish for years to come.
Thanks Paul !!!

There were 7 people on our tour, and the maximum group size is capped so it's perfect if you want a more exclusive experience. At the first two wineries we were in dedicated tasting rooms, away from the general wine tasting areas open to anyone.
We stopped at 5 wineries, tasted around 40 different wines and had a delicious lunch at Yering Station, with wine and coffee.
Paul, our guide, was brilliant - knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming. He even took a small detour en route for us to get a close up look at some Kangaroos in Kangaroo Ground. As a first time visitor to Australia, this was really appreciated.
If you want a premium wine tasting experience, this represents amazing value for money - don't hesitate to book it.

During the tour, he drove from Melbourne CBD to the Yarra Valley via the scenic route which was lovely for people who haven't been here before and he has a wealth of knowledge around a lot of areas.
Once we arrived to the Yarra Valley we stopped off at our first winery. Cam had extensive knowledge of all the wineries we stopped off at and was able to contribute great info during the tasting sessions.
The structure of the tour itself was great and any wines purchased, Cam would take care of so we didn't have to carry it around with us and back to the van. He made sure it was labelled so it wouldn't be mixed up.
As the tour I had booked only had another 2 guests who had booked, it was nice to be able to socialise in the small group and make some good conversations between everyone.
The lunch at Yering Station was devine! And a glass of wine included was fantastic. Throughout the tour there were also nibbles provided and at the final winery it was also a matched wine and cheese tasting. Once we got dropped off we were completely full of wine and food, just how a Yarra Valley wine tour should be!
I think the only 2 or 3 things I could really recommend or suggest is that, while water is available at each winery, maybe having some bottled water available in the van incase anyone needs it.
While some of us were seated in the front row of the van, I feel like it may have been a struggle for the back row to hear Cam when he was talking about the different wineries or just general information of the area, so possibly having some sort of microphone system just to play through the van audio speakers.
Before leaving the final winery, maybe just letting people know the time it'll take to Travel back to Melbourne and maybe planning a quick bathroom stop if anyone needs it. Given we visit five wineries, it's bound to happen at some point that a toilet stop would be appericated. Although I'm sure if someone asked then Cam would accommodate it.
Overall, I would highly recommend this tour to anyone considering it! The price paid is worth it!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Healesville Sanctuary where we were kindly guided by Fay.
Following which Cam took us on lunch and Wine tour which was a great experience too.
Thank you Paul, Cam and Fay for a memorable experience .
