2-day Great Ocean Road tour The trip felt very rushed throughout. At most stops, we were given limited time and repeatedly hurried, which made it difficult to enjoy the coastal scenery or take photos properly. As a result, the experience felt more exhausting than enjoyable.

Some of the best scenery you've ever seen This is one of the "must do" activities if you visit Melbourne, even if only for a few days. Yes, it's a lot of driving, and yes, not all of the drive is in pristine wilderness, but it's still worth it. We went with Oceana Tours and Safaris, and our driver/guide was Adam. He was wonderful, full of information, and sensitive to the needs of the group (translation: water and pee stops.)
Once you're along the coast (perhaps 90 minutes into the tour), the coastline reminds one of California or Oregon. Tall cliffs, great surf spots, and small towns that cater to tourists but especially to surfers. The road then heads inland for perhaps 90 minutes, going through some eucalyptus forests that are spectacular. Once back on the coast, the tour goes to the 12 Apostles and London Bridge. I found that London Bridge was the more interesting site, and FAR less crowded than the viewing point for the Apostles.
I would highly recommend Oceana Tours, and either Adam or Fred as your driver. Great blokes.

Great Ocean Road Our trip to the Great Ocean road was fantastic. Wayne was great as a guide, it wouldn’t have been the same without him at the wheel

Loved the sights We enjoyed the tour very much. Liked getting an early start to beat the crowds.
Appolo Bay was a great overnight stop

The only downside, was we were so early to lighthouse that it wasn’t even open yet and at 12 Apostles the gift wasn’t open yet

Benny’s Guide to Wonderland Best tour ever with the best guide ever (Walt). Walt was amazing. Friendly and informative. Many great stops with short walks and look out points! Amazing hostel in Apollo bay. We saw koalas and kangaroos, waterfalls, jungle walks, swam in the sea ( I jumped off the pier in Peterborough with a splash! ) Small group travel great for any solo traveller or couple wanting to share the experience and live the dream .

Beautiful Fantastic Trip to Daylesford and Macedon! We had an absolutely lovely trip to Daylesford and Macedon with Walter! We loved the Lavandula lavender farm, Daylesford Villages (visit to Brick Lanes & Paradise Bookstore is a must!), Sunday Market, and Forest Glade Garden at Mt. Macedon. The market & glade were gracefully adjusted to the itinerary because the Memorial Cross & Daylesford Convent were closed for maintenance during the holidays. Walter was fantastic, kind, reliable, and punctual. The trip went very smoothly, we really enjoyed our time and made great memories! Fabulous trip, great value for money. An amazing experience, all plus a lot more than we expected. Walter kept us in line throughout and because we were so good we gained time and he was able to add in a few extra lookouts and 1000 more step! Couldn’t recommend the trip more highly.

WORST tour The tour guide Walter was from Johannesburg, South Africa he told us. HOPE no one gets him.
There were 2 people from China and we were 4 people from Chicago on his tour.
The van was a cargo van converted into passenger van with tiny seats, tapes attached to fix the seat belt and the back of the van had a wall with hooks every where and stuff was hanging from there. So you can imagine the van ride, very ROUGH. Would love to share the pics if you want to see it.
He picked us up on time and dropped us off on time. No issues with it whatsoever but the major issues were:
The driver/tour guide was very rude.
He did not say any extra word besides what’s covered in the package. Wish he talked about interesting things on the way.
He did not open/ close the door for us, he expected us to open/ close ourselves. Since the door was hard, we had to try few times to open/close every time he stopped.
He expected us to get off the van within seconds (not minutes), as soon as he stopped to look for the interesting points. If you are a few seconds late he tried to lock the door to give us hints that we are late.
The package includes water bottles, but we were NOT given a single bottle. We had to buy it from the store.
The package includes coffee/ or tea, he sure brought the tea but the cups were plastic cups which were rinsed NOT washed with soap. It was not appealing to take the tea the way it was spread on the picnic table.
The package says “National park fees” included, but we didn’t see a single park we entered had any fees.
On the whole, it was a disappointing experience with the tour guide. We couldn’t wait for the tour to end, so we could breathe a little easier. He could have been a little friendlier.
TRULY wish NO ONE has to experience that. Maybe he was expecting white peoples? Not sure.

Walter our tour guide was very attentive, knowledgeable and kind. 2 long days but you see everything and you set off before all the other tour groups to avoid crowds. Would recommend

Best option if you don't drive Overall the tour had been enjoyable. Saw lots of wildlife. Accomodation is clean and comfy but does not provide any toiletries, please take note. Room had no air con as well, but weather was chilly so I had a great sleep.
I thought this tour could be improved with a few adjustments:
- Lessen the stops and increase the duration for each venue (too many sea viewpoints, they look similar)
- include a stargazing / milky way tour at night

Although we had to wake up really early on day 2, we managed to catch the sunrise ️

A day to never forget Walter was very informative and accommodating. Beautiful weather helped to make this day spectacular. Lucky enough to see whales koala and kangaroo. Thank you for a memorable day. Would highly recommend this company

The Best Way to Experience Great Ocean Road in Two Days Some trips leave a mark. Not because you’ve checked off the most sights, but because you lose yourself for a while – in the landscape, the atmosphere, the conversations. That’s what our two-day tour along the Great Ocean Road with Walter was like. An experience that both calmed and stirred something within us.

From the moment Walter picked us up at our hotel in the early morning light, we sensed this wouldn’t be an ordinary tour. His warm and gentle presence, mixed with subtle humour and an endless stream of stories, set the tone. We were a family of four, joined by two other travellers, and a quiet sense of connection formed between us all.

What we saw – the coastline, the animals, the forest, the sea – was of course stunning. But what stays with us is something else. It was the rhythm of the days, the conversations between the stops, the sound of wind through the trees, a helicopter ride that left us speechless, and that special kind of stillness that arises when you stop checking the time.

We laughed often. We forgot the clock. We forgot the everyday noise. And we were fully present. That might be the highest praise a journey can receive.

Phillip Island full day excursion Great full day experience from feeding the kangaroo and seeing many animals in their natural habitats. Seashore views were great and penguin parade was well worth it even though we were a bit off season. Good pace for the day and Walter our guide was awesome.

A worthwhile experience Well worthwhile trip: given a comprehensive experience of the scenery & were abe to view koalas. The accommodation was good. The town where we stayed was a pleasant place to wander around

A must for anyone one visiting or living in Melbourne We had a wonderful day with the must fabulous host, Sandy, we learnt a lot about wine and the tour was so interesting , highly recommend for a great day out

Fantastic GOR trip It was a fantastic trip. Walter was knowledgeable about the attractions and brought us morning tea and snacks. The scenery was gorgeous, a pity was it rained on the first day.
Overall itinerary was well planned and packed. It was tiring but the views are worth it!

Great 2 days experiencing the Great Ocean Road with Walter from Around and About Walter was our guide and he was wonderful. Picked us up and dropped us off at hotel. Quite knowledgeable, helpful and accommodating.

We saw lots, experienced more, learned tons about Victoria state, and got our steps and exercise in to boot.

A great way to get close views of Little Penguins Great day, It was wonderful up grade to the Ranger Tour at Philip Island as be so close the Little Penguins. I have done a larger group tour in the past but much preferred being am a small group Tour. Walter, out driver gave lots of information along the way

Melbourne trip There is so much to do in Melbourne CBD. The exhibition at the NGV was great. The tram takes you anywhere where you want to go. The restaurants are buzzing with people everywhere!! Great places to eat and variety cultural wise.
People are friendly and Pub menus are great. Definitely will visit again.

Excellent tour We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. The itinerary was well-planned, with several stops for walking and hiking in interesting places, toilet stops, and lunch breaks on both days. The guide was respectful, knowledgeable and experienced. Touring the Great Ocean Road in 2 days is a good way to really enjoy the beautiful scenery: it doesn't feel rushed. This is quite an active tour (lots of walking). Morning tea on both days is a light snack. It would have been helpful to know that breakfast stops are not included; you need to provide your own or ask the driver to stop somewhere so you can pick something up. The chocolaterie stop was a nice surprise with generous free chocolate samples! Our only complaint was that music not to our taste was played nonstop during the drive.

Bad trip Our guide Walter was not friendly and his driving skills is horrible. Basically just drop you here and there with various spots like a driver, but a poor one. Would not recommend if you want to enjoy a laid-back holiday.

Magnificent trip A wonderful tour seeing many picturesque views. Views from Mt Macedon were fantastic. Picnic at Hanging Rock was simply amazing and at times felt eerie being aware of the actual filming been done there. Daylesford was lovely and lavender farm was beautiful too. Definitely a great choice and a must-go tour! It’s great that we visited the Great Ocean Road the whole way from Torquay to Warrnambool. All of the amazing landmarks along the coast, awesome beaches, stunning scenery at the lookout, and wonderful birds’ singing and enormous natural species in the rainforest have been all carved in our memory. Walter, our tour guy, did a wonderful job of leading us spying all the gorgeous views, plants and animals all the way. We even saw koalas and wallabies walking along the road. Once in a life time, you must come and experience here.

I booked a 2-day great ocean road tour with around and about from KKday. The whole tour basically covers every must-see lookouts on the road. And our tour guide, Walter, is also very friendly and has some good dry sense of humor.

Great way to see the Great Ocean Road It's a really good itinerary, fantastic sights, good pace, and a great variety of things to do and see. Small tour group made for easy access and help taking pictures with the two of us. YHA night accommodation in Appolo Bay was nice and comfortable. We really enjoyed this trip so worth doing.

The bus was small n stuffy and very uncomfortable throughout the long journey.
The driver speaking can't be clearly heard behind. The fish & chip we ate for lunch was very disappointing ???? and very pricely rated. It is worse than singapore Fish & co. ????
The penguin hardly be seen with paying such a price.

Amazing road trip! We loved our trip down the Great Ocean Road! Our tour guide, Walter, was lovely and provided complimentary tea & biscuits. We stopped many times to enjoy the scenery, we were even lucky enough to see the Kangaroos. The overnight stay at Apollo Bay was amazing, it was a cosy stay. Apollo Bay is no ordinary hostel, there’s a log burner and a spacious kitchen. However, the tour could have been improved by informing us of the itinerary each morning, before we started the day. P.s. bring snacks!

Excellent tour of The Great Ocean Road Walter is an excellent guide and I can highly recommend his two day tour of the The Great Ocean Road.

I am 23 and visiting Australia on my own, and was concerned beforehand if this tour would be suitable for me, but I can confidently say that Walter’s bus and tour structure provide an excellent environment to get to know the people you’re sharing the tour with irrespective of their age or background. This was a part of the experience I thoroughly enjoyed.

How Great is Nature I highly recommend this 2 day tour with Walter
It was indeed 'ultimate' with a great combination of stops (walks), food and companionship. It was active and leisurely at the same time. A visit to the rainforest at 0700 was like something from 'Lord of the Rings'.
A 15 minute helicopter ride over the 12 apostles gave a wonderful extended view. For us the sea was calm and the ride smoothe.
The beaches were rocky with strong waves pounding the beach.

A very special experience.

Our guide Walter was fun to travel with. They took us to multiple places on the Great Ocean Road. They give you sufficient time to explore each location and take the full experience. Overnight accommodation offered was neat/tidy and enjoyable for 1 night.

The Best of the Great Ocean Road in 2 days! With only a week in Aus Walter’s trip was the perfect way to spend a couple of days exploring the best of the GORoad!

The drive out was packed with lots of interesting and fun stops ranging from viewing world famous surf spots, swimming in waterfalls to seeing koalas in the wild and stopping for lunch in the iconic surf towns of the south coast.

Our one evening on the road was spent at the YHA hostel. This hostel was spotlessly clean, had a relaxed vibe with a fully equipped kitchen and lounge where you could socialise with all. Not your standard hostel!

On our second day we continued our journey along the GORoad to the 12 apostles. Leaving early meant that we had many of the iconic beaches and viewpoints to ourselves. Walter also took us to a stunning beach just ahead of the apostles where you could access the beach and really appreciate the grandeur of the coastal line and stack formations. The day just got better and better with our final swim in the gorge of the most stunning beach amongst the apostle coastline followed by an easy climb into a cave.

The trip was well structured and definitely suitable to all ages given the short and accessible hikes.

Make sure to eat a good breakfast and bring lots of snacks. Despite Walter providing a morning tea stop with biscuits and fresh fruit throughout the day there are some good hours between meal times.

A fantastic two day trip that I’d highly recommend to anyone who wants to make the most of their time here in Aus!

3day/2night customised tour This is our 2nd tour with Walter. We did a customised 3 day/2 night tour of Phillip Island and Mornington Peninsula. Walter is a fantastic and knowledgeable tour operator. Any request we had to customise our itinerary was no trouble for Walter and he also added in a few extra sightseeing places! He has a fantastic sense of humour and we had lots of fun. He showed us many places and told us things that we would never have known about if we had been travelling ourselves in our car. I would highly recommend Walter and his many different tours.

I went on the 2D1N Great Ocean Road tour with Walter. He was a great guide - picked us up from our accommodation, took us to all the best viewing points along the track, allowed us to go on some lovely trails and gave us the opportunity to opt in for some unique experiences (Wildlife Wonders dusk tour and a heli ride). I would highly recommend him if you're looking for a quick trip that covers all the best bits of the Great Ocean Road!

Walter's tour was so amazing. We have been on many group tours and have decided our experience with Walter outweighs all other companies. Walter had great commentary and showed us some really awesome eco-tourism spots. This tour does have a lot of walking but the views are so worth it. Also Wildlife Wonders in Apollo Bay is one of the best experiences we have ever had. Reece and I cannot wait to come do more tours with Walter (Around and About Tours).
