Barossa Tour Great day in the Barossa. Three wineries with tastings and lunch included, so easy planning. Slightly pricey for the value, but discount was offered for online booking.

Had a great day out visiting three different wineries in the Barossa. Despite the rainy weather it was great vibes, good value for money getting a variety of tastings at each winery. The charcuterie board included was a decent size too. Our guide Aaron was friendly and informative, he did a great job coming up with an alternative to exploring Tanunda due to the weather, we ended up at the chocolate factory instead which everyone was very happy with. Pick up and drop off was seamless, would definitely recommend the tour to others

We booked a private tour for the day and were not disappointed, everything was so seamless! James organised an amazing itinerary for our family experience, with notice to our special requirements needed. We spent the day with Johnny (JR) who was knowledgeable, informative and just a great guy all round, making everyone comfortable and having great laughs throughout the day. The wineries selected were a mix, starting with a niche, boutique winery we had never heard of, and ended up ordering the most wine from! Their knowledge and insight of the Barossa and local wineries is sound, would recommend over and over - worth it for those who want unique experiences, with everything organised and no stress! the best tour guide We had the best day celebrating Sue's 60th . Vin our driver was amazing and made our day great with his music and especially when he bought a muffin for Sue for her birthday and it came out at one of the wineries with a candle lit .

Lovely Loved visiting the smaller wineries and learning something about the whole process of how to achieve a good/great wine. A bit more time allowed for the lunch to relax and enjoy would be great.

Presenters at wineries were knowledgeable made it interesting and were likeable with no hard sell.
Size of group was good. And because smaller group easier to interact with others.
A great thing Russell did was to ask people where they were from as they got on the bus. A fantastic icebreaker.

Russell was our driver and guide for the day and he was amazing! Provided us with so much information and was so personable with everyone which was lovely! The tour itself is very good, you visit three different vineyards and get to try so many different wines so you can really get your moneys worth! Would definitely recommend it’s a perfect day out from Adelaide!

Enjoyed an experience that left a sweet taste in terms of value, variety and the personable and professional guide, Jason, who shared useful and interesting information with humour and clarity. Great selection of wineries and scenic photo spots and our lunch was lovely. Jason helped us take some iconic photos too! I would highly recommend this tour to family & friends! My partner & I had a blast. This was our first time visiting the Barossa & we will definitely be back! We thoroughly enjoyed our wine tour of the Barossa. Baden was an excellent guide. He was fun, knowledgeable and friendly which made the day even better. We have a great haul of delicious wines to take home from some wonderful wineries.

Excellent knowledge of the wineries This was the first time we travelled to Adelaide; and it has been my husband's intention to go to Barossa. I googled and found Taste the Barossa. I booked the trip after reading the reviews. Lucky I did as the trip was excellent.

The trip, tour guide, and wineries:
We had Baden as our tour guide and driver. His knowledge of the wine and its wineries are immensely amazing. He took us to boutique and family run wineries and told stories of when and how the wineries started, gave us a bit of knowledge on their histories and their products which are different from mainstream wineries. And those made them unique.

The lunch:
We had lunch in one of the wineries. It was great. We had cheese platters which were locally produced.

Overall:
It was an excellent day trip. We enjoyed it very much. I am not much of a wine drinker but I still enjoyed it very much. My son who is not allowed to taste the wine legally still enjoyed the trip and the scenery. My husband might have different story as he enjoyed the wine tasting. :-)

Baden, our guide and driver, was very informative not just about the tour but also South Australia.

Great day out Great day visiting wineries , lunch was delicious. Also had a few extra stops sight seeing. Driver JT was very informative and amazing friendly guy .

Brian is ace Without a doubt, Brian was the absolute best guide we have encountered on our 7 week holiday. The first vineyard, Rosenvale, was fantastic for both the extremely interesting and informative talk but also the wines. The second, Turkey Flat, was disappointing, the lady running the tasting didn’t really seem to know what she was doing or talking about and it was very, very flat!

The lunch was also based at this location and I think it is a stretch to call some cheese, ham, pate and bread as “gourmet”, slightly over sells it!

The last vineyard, Kies, was much, much better. The big observation is that at Rosenvale it was the owner who completed the presentation and his passion was infectious and that probably only comes from having such a vested interest in the business.

However, overall the day was great and Brian was so knowledgeable whilst keeping us all amused.

I’m an American (Pennsylvania) who took the Taste the Barossa tour out of Adelaide on Dec 28, 2024. This tour was wonderful — so much gorgeous scenery and great wines to taste. Our driver and tour guide, Baden, was funny and irreverent (and cute!). He’s also extremely knowledgeable about Adelaide, the Barossa Valley, and of course, wine!!!

We visited three wineries and had a lovely lunch. I was particularly impressed with the Rosenvale and Kies family wineries and plan to buy cases from both, despite the massive shipping costs from AUS to USA.

Russell is a great driver and tour guide.
Kies family wines is fantastic !

Lunch and wines at the turkey winery were good.
Rosenvale wines was a waste of time and very boring (spoken at for 30mins straight!)

Great day, just wished they’d picked their wineries a little better for a group, will be back to the Barossa but will handpick wineries next time.

Did a private tour, our family with 2 kids were accommodated. It was a cracking day, good mix of winery's, great food, and sites visited were great. James our tour guide was fantastic and went above and beyond for us. This is my wife and I second time with these guys and we will be back again for sure. Great day

What a great day we had yesterday with Baden. His knowledge of the Barossa Valley was second to none and so was his commentary on the history of Adelaide. The wineries were fantastic and the food was “cool”.
I would recommend this tour to anyone.

Wonderful Tour Had a wonderful guide by the name of Russell, who was very knowledgeable about the area, he made the journey also fun as well. and he took us to some fantastic winery’s.

Good tour but average lunch We enjoyed the tour and our tour guide Bayden was very knowledgeable, amusing and helpful. The only real disappointment was the lunch at Salter’s kitchen - it was not a feast nor hot and cold. Just cold and unimpressive.

For the over 50’s Small group of 12.
3 wineries visited that were a little main stream, the last was best, family run and informative.
Lunch was sufficient, not outstanding, as no choice of cheese.

Barossa in a wine glass The Barossa Valley is a gem, wineries and cellar doors aplenty. Listen to the family history and the knowledge that is passed down through the generations. The wine tastings are generous. The countryside was beautiful and the vines just starting to bud, our tour operator Jason was great, pointing out many interesting places to visit after our tour.

We had a great time on Brian’s bus! He was funny and informative. The fun mix of people in our group definitely made the experience more enjoyable. And we got some great deals on some of our favourite wines!

I forgot my cap on the bus. When I called the next day to check, they were more than happy to ship it to Brisbane for me.

best thing to do in adelaide this was a wonderful day trip from adelaide where we had an incredible driver, JR, who told us the history of adelaide, and valley, and some information about wine as we drove to the wineries. we had three wine tasting and a great meal. highly recommend this experience for people interested in wine tastings or fun experiences near adelaide

What a fantastic trip! James, our driver and guide, was great. Fun personality, informative and a safe driver. Happy to take pics for us. He really contributed to making it an enjoyable day. Whispering wall was unbelievable and well worth doing. The vineyards/wineries and lunch were all good, although we particularly liked the last vineyard we visited. Sampled around 22 wines throughout the trip 🍷 Thoroughly recommend!

This tour was the highlight of our trip! Highlighting the best of the Barossa valley with wine, food and photo stops, this was a full day out! Brian our guide was one in a million, he knew his stuff and presented it in a way that kept us entertained the whole day. Every stop we made along the way was better than the last!
Only thing missing from this tour was a stop at the chocolate factory 😉.

We had an absolute ball on our wine tour recently with Taste the Barossa! Both drivers James and Jason were brilliant – super friendly, entertaining and knowledgeable. Dallas, a big thank you for helping with organising this important event for 22 people. Nothing seemed too much trouble. Again, thank you so much for making my husband’s 60th birthday memorable.

Best wines ever. From the time we got picked up at our hotel in the morning by James to the time he dropped us off we From the time James picked us up in the morning till the time he dropped us off. We had a great experience.

James’s commentary was interesting informative and fun. The tour stops, three wineries chosen and delicious charcuterie style lunch were all exceptional.

The teams at each of the wineries made us feel like VIPs with their hands on descriptions of the wine flights and history of their operations. Plus the wines were plentiful and amazing!

We felt so well looked after and couldn’t have had a better day.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE I had to cancel due to being positive on a RAT test on the morning of the tour, but they gave me a hard time about it and still charged me full fee. Utterly disgraceful customer service.

Wines, info and views Having been picked up at my hotel, we proceeded to the beautiful Barossa Valley with lots of fun facts about Adelaide. With loads of info on the 3 wineries we visited from our driver/guide, we tasted lots of wine varieties. A great day which I needed to sleep off when I got back to my hotel in the late afternoon! Highly recommend this tour company. Had Baden for our tour guide and he is 11/10 fantastic. He is very funny which created an inclusive and welcoming environment and very knowledgable too. We got to experience 3 wineries with lunch in between. Top quality wine and food. Was so worth it as I couldn’t fault anything.

We had a fantastic day with Jason out in the Barossa Valley! Not only did he show us some beautiful spots and amazing wineries, his commentary was outstanding! Making sure everyone on the tour is involved, explaining a lot about the places we visited and you can really feel his excitement for the Barossa Valley and Adelaide and surroundings!

Don’t bother - Honestly, spend a little more and go for the tours that are smaller groups. This was a packed bus tour was maybe 20 people? It only takes you to 3 wineries and then 2 other filler spots which are just a waste of time. The “lunch” provided was probably one of the worse things I have ever experienced with unseasoned chicken and cold cuts served in a busy cellar door. The wineries could have cared less about us being there and were quick to rush through the tastings. The whole experience was not personalized and you truly feel like just a number. I would suggest doing a deep dive of smaller more intimate places before booking this one.

Jason the tour guide is the only reason this is 3 stars and not 2. He was great. Everything else poor.

This is the best tour I have ever experienced! Baden our friendly tour guide/bus driver knows it all from South Australian history to German settlement to best beaches to best wineries in Barossa Valley and everything in between.
Tasted 23 different varieties of wine during the tour. Ended up picking sparkling Red wine bottles for myself.
Stopped over at Whispering walls, Tanunda, Sculptures Park and the wineries.
Beautiful drive with loads of information on the tours.
