Our Kayak Fleet
- Single Kayak: Perfect for one adult or youth (maximum weight 120kg).
- Double Kayak: Ideal for up to two adults and one child (maximum weight 220kg). 🌟
Your hire package includes high-quality kayaks, paddles, dry bags, and life vests (up to three per double kayak) to ensure a comfortable journey.
Safety and Confidence on the Water
At Barossa Kayak Hire, your safety is our absolute priority. Even if you are a complete novice, there is no need to worry! We provide all the essential equipment and local knowledge to get you started, ensuring a relaxing and enjoyable experience on the tranquil reservoir waters. 🌊
Important Safety Guidelines
- Weight Capacities: In the interest of safety, maximum weight capacities must be adhered to. BKH reserves the right to alter the kayak manifest regarding passenger weights to ensure maximum stability on the water.
- PFDs and Life Vests: We only supply P.F.Ds. (Personal Flotation Devices/Buoyancy Aids) for adults over 40kg and for children over 25kgs. PFDs are only suitable to persons who can swim in the case of an emergency. Our PFDs may not be suitable for some persons with physical disabilities. We do not stock limited numbers of life-vests or life jackets for non-swimmers. Please advise if you require a lifevest for a non-swimmer.

Pre-Booking and Check-In Essential
To ensure a seamless start to your adventure, all participants must complete the online Pre-Check In waiver as soon as possible after booking. Accurate weights and information must be provided for insurance, water safety, and planning. A Check In Form MUST be completed for ALL child passengers. Please ensure you print, complete, and bring along your CHECK IN FORM.

Cancellation Policy

- (a) Where cancellations are due to adverse weather, declared days of Total Fire Ban or other SA Water planned closures a full refund will be made less 2.5% admin fee unless the participants re-book another day / time to be mutually agreed with BKH.
- (b) All booking changes (day or time) must be advised at least 4 hours in advance and must be mutually agreed with BKH.
- (d) Where there is a NO SHOW or cancellation by the participant less than 4 hours in advance, there will be no refund.
