BEST DAY EVER. My friends and I had the privilege of joining Ocean Rafting for a snorkel and beach trip today, and we had the best day. The gorgeous beaches and stunning natural scenery were incredible, but what truly set the experience apart was the crew on board.

We were on the boat _Free Bird_, led by Captain Ben and Mr. Corben. From the moment we were picked up, Corben was friendly and super helpful. When we met Ben, he was charismatic and insightful, sharing great tips for making the most of our day.

Both of them went beyond just guiding the trip. They took time to speak with everyone on board individually, asking where we were from and getting to know us. The vibe on the boat was 10/10, and we wrapped up the day with onboard karaoke as we sailed back to Airlie from Whitehaven.

My friends and I can’t imagine choosing another company for this tour. If you book with Ocean Rafting, request Corben and Ben - they’re awesome!

Wonderful trip with amazing crew! My husband & I had a wonderful trip with the Ocean Rafting crew of Thunderstruck (our boat for the trip) - Brent was our captain, along with Lil & Jess as our fabulous guides. The day began with us being picked up at our motel & taken to the marina where we got ourselves checked in & then fitted for life jackets & stinger suits. After everyone on our boat was checked in we then boarded our boat & off we went @ 10am. What a ride across the water it was the crew is fantastic at entertaining & that began upon leaving the marina when we spun circles out in the water with ACDC's Thunderstruck playing! On board we were served drinks (alcohol if requested for a price) & snacks as we cruised across the water to our destination. The trip to the Islands took about 1.5 hours & after picking up another couple on an Island on our way, we arrived at the Hill Inlet area where we then were taken on a walk to a wonderful lookout over the beaches & the Inlet - so beautiful! Then back to the boat & off to Whitehaven Beach OH My Gosh what a beach this is, absolutely stunning! We had lunch given to us before getting off the boat as preordered upon arranging our trip & then swam, walked the beach & enjoyed the scenery while relaxing in the oh so soft, white sand surrounding us. After about 1.5 hours we were then loaded onto the boat again & off we went to snorkel around a beautiful reef where we all got to enjoy the spectacular underwater life for about 1 hour. Then back into the boat & we then headed back to Airlie Beach. We arrived at back at the marina 4:00pm & that was that! We enjoyed every moment of this trip & would highly recommend it to everyone!

Fabulous fun on “freebird” ocean raft. Brilliant day with Ocean rafting visiting Whitehaven beach, hill inlet and 2 snorkelling sites. We had adverse weather conditions as we headed out to see which made for an exhilarating ride. It was bumpy, wet and great fun! Ayla and Paige promoted a fun and positive vibe on board while also sharing their knowledge and ensuring safety at all times.

Have fun and get wet! I had an amazing day out on the boat with my two energetic, fun, and informative guides; Ben and Ally! Although the weather wasn’t ideal for a day out on the water, they made the best of it and provided a great experience overall. They kept the energy high as to not let Mother Nature get us down, and were very friendly. They were also very informative about the dangers of our adventures, and super communicative overall. We had to change our route a bit for the snorkeling experience, but they still made it happen. Overall, very happy with the experience. My favorite part was definitely the boat ride. Make sure to bring things to keep you dry if you don’t want to get wet. But that was my favorite part and their music was very involving and energetic as well! I hope to make it back someday to visit with them again. Don’t skip this!!

Northern exposure tour I’d highly recommend this tour !! The whole day was a once in a lifetime opportunity which the crew made just that much better on thunderstruck. Daisy was a great captain and Paige really brought the vibes and made the trip that much more special.

The best way to see the GBR, the Heart Reef (only viewable by air) and spectacular Whitehaven beach. This is a must do if you are in the Whitsundays. We are on a two month trip in Australia and on the GBR snorkeling, 18 times in a month so we’ve seen a bit. But viewing the reef from above is a must. A very emotional experience seeing it and the pilot flew us legally low enough that you feel this unreal connection. Our pilot Lewis gave us a countdown and told us to have our camera ready before we flew over the “heart” reef because you only get that one chance. Both sides of the plane get their shot. You can only see the heart reef by plane. Seeing Whitehaven beach by plane is breathtaking but it is at its best at low tide so keep that in mind. Doing the raft trip after the plane ride would get you there at low tide. It is spectacular. Spend the money, take this flight, you won’t regret it. The GBR and Whitehaven beach are truly magnificent wonders of this world. Australia is a beautiful country.

Great fun, very professional We loved the trip out to Whitehaven. Ayla and Kai were fantastic and we all had a good laugh, listened to some good tunes, and enjoyed the ride out despite the choppy waters and windy conditions.

The sun came out nicely for us when at the lookout, the scenery was beautiful. Lunch on the beach was nice (except for the pesky seagulls).

Ayla’s skippering of the boat (Black Betty) through the swell was awesome. Felt safe and enjoyed the riding the waves.

Recommend bringing a spray/wind jacket, especially for the trip back to the marina.

We got an advice to take one of their tours and we were so happy we did! We came as part of our honeymoon and we had the best time with Conor and Josh! We met more instructors along the way and each and every one of them were delightful! The were full of great energy and smiles and made sure we have the best time every step of the way! They made us feel safe, they know the area perfectly and how to manage a group, you can just tell they love and enjoy what they do and it made the adventure a hole lot better to see them have fun as well. We would definitely book with them again!

Amazing day at Whitsundays This was such a fun day visiting the Whitsundays and snorkelling. Our guides Brad and James were fab and always on hand to help, and the boat was a lot of fun and lively at times with the waves (won’t ever forget sailing back to the harbour soundtracked to Thunderstruck). Whitehaven beach is like a postcard. Saw many cool fish while snorkelling! We also got a lunch and afternoon snacks. Have already recommended to others, would def join a tour again if I visit!!

Incredible Our family of four had the most incredible day on this tour. Georgie, Alanna, and Heath went above and beyond ensuring our boys (6 and 7yo), created some core memories. Having the smaller boat option and Alanna in the water with us when we snorkeled gave us the extra confidence with my 6 yo. Highly recommend this experience.

It was our first time snorkeling and Tori helped us so much, even though the current was strong, she came down and swim and kinda rescue close to pull us back towards the boats. Highly recommend this tour. The boat was quick and it was fun!

My family and I booked the Ocean Rafting Southern Lights All-Inclusive tour on Saturday, 28th February, and we had an amazing experience.

Our tour guides, Ben and Corbin, were fantastic — welcoming, friendly, and highly professional. Their communication was clear throughout the entire day, so we were never unsure about what was happening or what to expect next. They were both enthusiastic and interactive, which really added to the overall atmosphere and the music playlist was great too!

The booking process was seamless, even though we booked last minute. We really appreciated the accommodation pick-up and drop-off service, which made the day completely stress-free. Check-in was quick and easy on arrival to the wharf.

The boat transfer was fast and efficient while still being comfortable. We were lucky with the weather, with only a few small showers on the way out. We did get wet on the boat but that was part of the experience.

Snorkels and fins were provided onboard, along with drinking water refills, light lunch and toilet facilities, which was very convenient.

Overall, it was a fantastic day, and we would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area.

Had an amazing experience at OR yesterday, snorkling in the GBR was something we will never forget , cannot thank Josh, Nick & Jess enough they were all so lovely, professional and made everyone’s time that much better.
Josh brought some serious skill piloting the boat and made the journey so fun, also playing the best playlist of all time to suit the mood so perfectly.
Jess was such a vibe and her friendly positive energy was super infectious making sure everyone was in good spirits at all times and was flying around the ship making sure everything was going smoothly and offering fruit near the end of the trip, such a lovely soul.
Nick was such a gent , very chatty , he was also locked in when it came to docking the ship and felt like we were in very capable hands, super friendly and down to earth guy.
Couldn’t recommend this experience enough these guys know how it’s done! Thank you again

Went on the Scenic flight and Ocean rafting northbound tour. Both of the tours was absolutely amazing. It was a bit cloudy both days but the second we came out on the reef it was magical. Went on the boat tunderstruck with the amazing Jess and Richy. They were so good at making us feel safe and taken care off, and truly made the whole trip. Would do it again and can’t recommend it enough.

My family went on the northern exposure tour yesterday. All the staff on black Betty were amazing. My 3 year old didn’t want to snorkel at the 2nd spot so the lady with the long hair (I think her name was Abbie) let him feed the fish from the boat. All the 3 staff on board were amazing! I couldn’t fault any part of the day.
We’ve travelled around a bit & this was by far the best experience. My kids thought the jet boat was a highlight!

Booked the dual session, for the Scenic Flight and the raft tour with the snorkelling, and holey... Gotta be the best boating experience I've had! I personally didn't do the snorkelling but everyone in our group loved it, I got good photos and the crew was amazing! We did a fantastic finale! Highly Recommend to anyone looking for alot of adventure and even more fun!!!

Amazing experience with this company. Huge shout out to Scotty the skipper! great guy, so much fun and made an effort at every chance to show us the marine life around. Another huge shout out to Abi who helped make the trip 11/10, so fun, knowledgeable and helpful.

Easy from start to finish, lunch was good and had some snacks too. Walk in the island was fab and Abi was so informative! They both helped us all find the best spots to snorkel and provided all the gear, even noodles if you wanted which was fab!

Best day in a long time- saw and swam with sea turtles and so many of other fish. Saw lots of dolphins had a great time jumping off the boat. I’d love to do it again if I’m ever back 🤙

What an amazing experience we had! Myself and my friend with her two kids had the most amazing time out on the boat. We went snorkelling seen some beautiful fish! We went for a beautiful walk to the look out at Whitehaven beach, had lunch and the went for a swim in the Beach, from the very beginning on this tour till the very end we felt very comfortable and looked after. We were on boat black betty with Ben and Masha and I just want to thank you both you made the experience fun and enjoyable. Big shout out to the two staff! Well done.

We did the full day trip with one snorkelling stop and more beach time. The day was perfect from start to finish. All very well organised and lots of fun! Heath and James were both great, very helpful and made the day lots of fun. Couldn’t recommend it enough.

The walk up to the lookout was so so, but everything after that was great. The ride, the vibe the people, the snorkeling. Fantastic.

Lunch was basic, but the onboard bar was affordable for a excursion.

fun day but not om with staff insulting a guest the trip was amazing, the ride, snolkeling, the walk and the beach, even though the weather wasnt good. the staff was proffesional when it came to safelty, but they all made fun of one of the guests on the boat, and she heard them,which was not ok.

This was one of the best experiences me and my family have ever had, and it’s mostly thanks to the amazing crew on board! Special thanks to Benny, who gave us the ride of a lifetime, and Jenna, who lifted everyone’s spirits and showed us all the best places in the reef.

Everything was very accommodating, even for me (as I’m not the strongest swimmer), with lots of lifejackets, floats, and equipment to make sure everyone is comfortable in the water.

I in particular loved the bush walk through Whitsunday Island, and taking photos atop the lookout. Sitting on Whitehaven Beach while enjoying lunch was also wonderful, not to mention the beautiful reef when we got in the water for some snorkelling!

Epic adventure with Abbie & Kevin!! Had the most epic experience on the northern tour with Abbie & Kevin. They were amazing tour guides, made me feel so safe and comfortable during the snorkelling experience!

Unforgettable We had such an amazing time on this trip. We were meant to do the scenic flight on the same day as the snorkelling however due to the weather this was cancelled. Luckily we got to reschedule for the next day and our pilot Lewis was very informative and told us of any bumps. An absolutely unforgettable experience.

We also had a great time on the boat however it was a bit bumpy due to the weather although our driver made us feel safe on Thrilla!

Snorkelling was great and we felt really safe and we saw so many fish!

This trip is an absolute must do whilst in Airlie Beach!

Wow Wow Wow!!!🤯 What a day!! Our boat was excellently piloted by the gnarliest captain Daisy, she really made that thing fly and was great fun, knowledgeable and helped make the day as great as it was.
The onboard safety officer Jess was just as much fun and great fun to be around.
Both ladies were superb at what they do and kept us all feeling perfectly safe despite the choppy conditions.

The whole team were superb and made the day seamless and so enjoyable, from the moment we were picked up and all through the booking in process. We really couldn’t have asked for more.

The experience itself was nothing short of spectacular, the scenery was absolutely mind blowingly beautiful and is easily the most stunning I’ve ever seen.

For anyone thinking about doing this experience, just do it as it’s truly incredible and something you’ll remember forever.

We also did as part of the same package the 60 minute scenic flight which was also a once in a lifetime experience .. I’ll do a separate review for this.

Absolutely wonderful day… we only had 2 nights in Airlie Beach, and this tour simply capped off the stay.

The scenic flight was just breathtaking. We all had window seats and felt safe, the pilot and copilot made sure we all got to see the most important things (heart shaped island and whiteheaven).
The boat was great too, Dan was our skipper and the trip went smoothly. Great vibes, music on the boat, felt safe and had fun!
On the boat Josh and (sorry I’m sure I’ll misspell it :( ) Cordin were extremely professional, helpful and always ready to answer all our questions!
The snorkeling was fun and the corals insane.
We then went to Hill Inlet lookout which is just incredible.
The crew was very patient with all of us, guided us and proposed to take pictures for us. Just the nicest!!
The lunch was nice and my request for Celiac gluten free was perfectly met. Felt good after!

Whitehaven wonder We had a wonderful day with Scott, Kurt and Tahlia!! It was just perfect with a delicious wrap for lunch and super yummy cookie caramel slice with fruit for afternoon tea. Plenty of drinks to purchase onboard. Highly recommend this tour.

WE LOVED THIS TOUR OMGGG!!! I went with my three cousins to this tour and we absolutely loved it!! Tori and Brent were our tour guides and made this experience incredible for everyone on the boat. Extremely good at calming your nerves if you’re a bit nervous and have a great sense of humour that made the tour even better. They even pointed you in the direction of specific fish like nemo. TORI AND BRENT WERE THE BEAT TOUR GUIDES EVER!

We went to Hill Inlet for some pics & lunch. Then it was off to some snorkeling spots for a look at some beautiful coral & a closeup with a turtle, a giant clam and some reef fish. Lunch was a good size and there were drinks, chocolates and an afternoon snack of fruit and lamingtons on the way back. All in all an awesome day and a great way to spend our anniversary! Thank you so much guys!

Excellent Trip This was a fantastic experience on the Thunderstruck Boat with Rich and Tamika. Snorkeling in the Mackerel Bay area was fantastic and the photos and videos were once in a lifetime. Don't be put off if you are not a strong swimmer as there are life vests and noodles available (I used a life vest and it made life so much easier).

After this, there is a walk to three viewing towers which gives an unbelievable view of the island and Whitehaven Sands, which you eventually come to when you walk down the other side. The beach is amazing and when walking through the shallow water to get to the boat, you see stingrays close up. After lunch and a couple of hours on the beach, there is a fast pace home, with Rich doing some excellent moves in the boat.

I highly recommend this trip, however make sure you get on Thunderstruck with Rich and Tamika as they made it such an enjoyable experience.

We had an incredible day out on the water with Ocean Rafting on the Southern Lights Tour - out of Airlie Beach. Max, Corbin & James were a great crew and added to the days fun!! We made our way out to Whitehaven Beach & Hill Inlet lookout. It was a great day, did a bit of snorkelling and were able to see the stunning views of the Whitsundays. Day ended relaxing on the south end of Whitehaven beach & it was stunning!! Highly recommend this Tour 🤩🙌🏼

We went ocean rafting on the Southern Lights Tour with Rich and Vanessa on the boat named “Thunderstruck”and had the most amazing time. I can honestly say this was the highlight of our trip to the Whitsundays. I was a little worried about our kids traveling on a faster boat but Vanessa and Rich put our minds at ease and made the ride so much fun to the point where they were asking us to do it again! The whole experience was fun, informative and energetic. The views, the water and sea life were just beautiful. I even loved the addition of the music on the boat, it really adds to the vibe of it all. I would highly recommend this tour and will be doing it again the next time we holiday here.

We had a lovely day - starting with the flight. It was absolutely amazing. Afterwards we went on the rafting tour. This was well organized with transfer buses and really friendly staff.

The boat ride was an incredibly enjoyable experience. We loved every minute of it. Josh and Lucky are great guys who made the journey unforgettable for us!!!!

The only thing which we didn’t like was that Whitehaven beach and the lookout have been very busy when we came there. But this is not the company fault - it is popular spot.

Amazing way to see Whitehaven two ways. Fly, Raft, snorkel, lookout. It’s the perfect package! This tour was just perfect. The weather could not have been better to start with but the scenic flight was amazing. The view was stunning and the pilots were fun, professional and informative.

We then ventured on the ocean rafts with crew members, Ben and Tamika. These guys were amazing throughout the day. Both were very helpful with any questions, they were patient and strived to bring the energy and create a good vibe for everyone onboard.

The balance of snorkelling/beach time I found to be great as we were able to have lunch on the beach and really take it all in.

Highly recommend!

Awesome Experience This was one of the best experiences I’ve had so far in Australia! The snorkelling view was breathtaking with all the beautiful coral and fish and the sandbanks on Whitsundays definitely live up to its expectations. We were guided by Kevin and Ella, which are two super fun individuals that made the day fly by with their guidance and humor. 10/10 would recommend it to anyone!

Forever memories are made here… this is a must for every family! To put this simply magical. Georgie, Ben & Cooper all had the best energy coming into this fun filled experience- we knew from the start that their personable natures and brilliant senses of humour would make this day epic. They chatted to everyone with such a sense of familiarity you would swear you’d known them for a lot longer. They were engaging, informative, hilarious and brought the bangers of music to take that vibe to the next level. To say this experience is a MUST is an understatement. Without sounding extra, our family literally enjoyed every second of the day. The boat ride was just so thrilling and our youngest child who’s 9 wasn’t at all scared. The kids thought it was so fun and I definitely recommend this as a fun family day out. The beaches and the scenery were breathtaking and it very much reminded me of just how lucky we are to live in this beautiful country. A sense of gratefulness on this trip is a very real reaction to this experience. The lunch we had was really lovely, generous and very much enjoyed!
The snorkeling was seriously stunning and my daughter’s squeals of pure joy was something you wish you could bottle forever.
The water was clear, the coral was beautiful, the turtle sightings & array of fish were just so magical to swim in. The weather conditions were on point and we were very thankful that we had that too.
This wasn’t just a day trip this was a core memory created for our family that we will look back on as nothing short of magic.
The crew had such a big impact on that, to the point that they’re now seriously considering a career here lol!
Thank you so much to you all for such a brilliant day, we are so incredibly appreciative. We can’t wait to come back and do it again one day.

Unreal experience on Thunderstruck Three friends and I had the best day on James and Jacob’s thunderstruck boat! The snorkeling was unreal and the guys were hilarious and made sure everyone was having a really fun day. Great for adventurers and if you like a wild boat ride and beautiful experiences of the reef! Literally no notes we’ve all done lots of tours all over the world and not experienced as good of a vibe as the ocean rafting tour in Airlie. The crew all seemed to love eachother and their jobs which was so nice to see! Thanks guys!

Amazing Ocean Rafting From the moment the team picked us up, we just had the best day! Tameka & Toby on Thuderstruck just made the day so special. We were a large party of kids and adults and overwhelming the kids named this the best day of the holiday, from amazing snorkeling with turtles to bush walks, lunch and fun on Whitehaven beach. Tameka’s energy and engagement with our girls was phenomenal and they danced all the way back to the Marina.

An absolutely fabulous day. From booking the whole process was handled very professionally with excellent customer being at the forefront of every element.
Ben & Harry made sure we had an unforgettable day, choosing sites where we viewed a plethora of sea life including turtles and massive clams as well as a massive array of fish. The corals were far more colourful than we’d imagined too!
Safety was always at the forefront and instructions were very clear and explicit. The food supplied was just right for us, both in terms of quality and quantity.
We shall remember the day & look forward to doing more snorkelling in the future. Thankyou Ben & Harry!
