So pleased we visited A really lovely experience, our guide was exceptionally knowledgeable and had plenty of time for our questions, the walk was interesting and we were fortunate enough to see a number of animals in their own habitats.

Our guide Dell was absolutely amazing, full of knowledge and humor. Made our nature walk so fulfilling! Such an amazing way to learn about the environment and do our bit to take care of it. I’d definitely come back on my next visit! Lots of lovely critters seen and heard! Just a great time!!

Great family day at Wildlife Wonders! Lovely coffee, friendly team, stunning views & amazing wildlife tour. We visited Wildlife Wonders in Apollo Bay with a group of 11 including kids and had such a great time!
The coffee at the café was excellent and the atmosphere so relaxing.
The guided tour was amazing, we saw lots of beautiful birds and animals with stunning views of the hills.
The team was super friendly and helpful.
This was my second visit and I really enjoyed seeing the changes.

We stumbled upon Wildlife Wonders during our drive along the Great Ocean Road from Apollo Bay, and it turned out to be one of the true highlights of our trip. The tour offered an intimate experience in nature, allowing us to observe the animals up close, roaming freely in their natural environment. Our guide, Sasha, was an absolute delight—her passion and knowledge shone through with every word, making the experience all the more enriching. An Inspiring Guided Walk among Native Fauna in the Otways An extraordinary experience and a visionary initiative. We had a very well-informed guide (Alyssa) who shared her passion with the group. To see potoroos, wallabies, kangaroos, koalas and emus all in their natural environment rather than behind wire, was inspiring. This is an extremely high-quality tour, well worth the money. The information is pitched at an accessible level while backed up by expertise and research. To know that the proceeds go to support the Conservation Ecology Centre is so gratifying. This was by far the highlight of our visit to the Otways.

This was such an incredible experience. We were lucky enough to see koalas, pademelons, wallabies, and emus while learning about the conservation work being done here. Sasha, our guide, was fantastic—knowledgeable, attentive, and very mindful of the animals’ wellbeing. All wildlife is observed respectfully in its natural environment, so sightings are never guaranteed, but you’re very likely to encounter them. What impressed us most was how calm the animals remained, simply going about their routines thanks to the thoughtful approach of the staff.

We did the morning tour (about 75 minutes) They have a well-organized setup, with audio headsets and excellent binoculars provided. The grounds are spotless and well maintained. Some reviews mention the price, but knowing that the fees directly support conservation made it feel more than worthwhile.

Be sure not to miss the café—the food and coffee were delicious!

Overall, it’s inspiring to see such a passionate team carrying out important conservation work. Highly recommended.

Great day out The guide was excellent and we were lucky enough to see many of the animals on the property, great experience for the whole family.

Our wonderful walk with wildlife Cannot recommend this tour enough. It had everything and created memories for our family we will remember forever. As soon as you arrive there is everything you could need to make the experience wonderful. We were beyond appreciative of the kids corner which had things like social stories and calming spaces for our kids to become comfortable with the experience. Things like this are priceless when you have ASD kids in attendance. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much.

Amazing experience! I took the 75 minute guided tour, and right from the start we were surrounded by wildlife! We saw multiple koalas, pademelons, wallabies, kangaroos and at least 3 different bird species (including Emus!).

Wildlife Wonders also has a lovely little Cafe attached, and an extensive gift shop (including books and literature about the flora and fauna native to the region), and all proceeds go towards helping conserve out beautiful wildlife.

If you are staying in or near Apollo Bay, Wildlife Wonders is an absolute must-visit! Cannot recommend highly enough!

Absolutely loved it! We visited wildlife wonders with our kids 13 and 15, and an international exchange student. We absolutely loved it. It is a not for profit, so all $ goes to research and supporting the wildlife. Our guide, Sophie is a highly qualified scientist who provided us with a lot of very interesting knowledge about the animals and environment. We saw koalas, pademelons, wallabies, emus, and kangaroos. It is such a beautiful sanctuary too, with gorgeous views. Would highly recommend.

Lovely experience. We really enjoyed this experience. The guide was very informative, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. It was lovely to see all of the animals in their natural surroundings. The tour was well equipped and organised. We never felt rushed. We took our 6month old daughter and felt so welcomed.

Brilliant afternoon, well worth a visit. What a fantastic afternoon!! Three days before our tour we were emailed with a weather warning that our tour may need to be moved due to high winds. After some very prompt emails from Wildlife Wonders there was a confirmed change to the date and time, and we are so glad they could accommodate us. The tour was amazing, Sophie our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. She was able to answer all our group's questions and shared excellent facts about both the animals and habitats. We felt enough time was spent in each area to fully appreciate the flora and fauna without feeling rushed. Sophie also shared wider local knowledge of wildlife and her advice was spot on. A must for any animal lovers and conservation conscious travelers Highlight of our Great Ocean Road trip was Wildlife Wonders! Fantastic walk amongst Australian Flora and Fauna with a well guided conservationist on a stunning bushland property . As a large group comprising of multiple families with toddlers through to seniors we enjoyed a wonderful, leisurely stroll amongst the Australian Flora and Fauna indigenous to the Cape Otway area. Erin, our guide was very knowledgeable and patient with the many questions from the kids. Afterwards we enjoyed a lovely lunch at the cafe. Will certainly recommend to family and friends.

This is an amazing reserve. We really enjoyed the guided walk, and our guide was very knowledgeable. The team deserves credit for all the great conservation work they are doing, and it’s clear they are truly passionate about it. The staff are friendly, and the on-site café serves excellent food. I recommend trying the sausage roll with relish. The facilities are great, there is plenty of parking, and the gift shop offers unique items, including their own merchandise. It is definitely worth a visit.

Came here for the dusk tour, and even though it's pretty expensive for what it is (especially compared to the daytime tours), I'd say my experience was worth every cent, especially as someone who visited Australia mostly to see its wildlife.

This tour was probably the first time in my life that I had ever seen live pademelons, so that was already quite a highlight for me. Additionally, my tour group got to see quite a number of potoroos, koalas, wallabies and kangaroos.

But the main highlight for me was the emu and his chicks who we kept stumbling upon even outside the tour. Even though the chicks were already a third of their father's size, they were still so cute! In fact, it was this emu family that essentially hypnotized me into booking the tour.

Our guide, Erin, and her clear love for the animals in the sanctuary certainly helped with my experience. Additionally, the gift shop and cafe were very well-maintained and clean, and the staff at the sanctuary were overall very receptive and friendly. I'm not sure if it's mentioned in the website, but a light meal is provided before the dusk tour (and it was LOVELY).

Overall, I would recommend any nature lovers to drop by at this place, especially for the tours at dusk when the animals are most active. Even if you don't end up going for the tours, as long as you buy something from the gift shop or cafe, you are supporting wildlife conservation in the Cape Otway region. If you're lucky, you may even stumble upon the emu family without needing to book a tour!

A small yet purposeful sanctuary for native Australian wildlife. I opted for the tour and our guide was knowledgeable but felt like she’s done this walk enough of times to start getting bored. We came across a few animals, smelt koala poo which smells a lot like Eucalyptus haha. The money which people pay to do the tour goes into research and care of these animals which is great!

Guided tour, not free to roam or feed the wildlife, different from other zoos/parks. Tour is suitable for kids at least age 4 and above.
Nice place to stop over for food or a drink.

The experience was nice and informative, but rather short. You can only walk along a designated path, which limits exploration.

We saw emus up close, koalas high up in the trees, wallabies, and kangaroos from a distance. A kookaburra also briefly appeared. The guide was knowledgeable and engaging, sharing a lot of interesting information. However, the price feels quite high for what is offered.

The nature walk was very pleasant. Our tour guide Sophie was very knowledgable and you can see her passion in what she does and made our experience well worth it. Our young girls couldn’t walk any closer with her as they felt so comfortable with someone they had just met.
Highly recommend the nature walk and nature spotting with Sophie as a fantastic nature guide.

Australian wildlife up close This was an excellent way to see Australian animals in their natural environment. The guide Erin was very knowledgeable, the group was small and we were delighted to see koalas in the trees, swamp wallabies, a kangaroo, an emu and chicks. As well, we learnt a lot about the landscape. We were given binocular and an ear piece so we could hear everything the guide said, which was amazing.

Amazing tour We truly enjoyed our experience. Everything was great: delicious supper, friendly and knowledgeable tour guide, lots of animals, some with their cute babies, beautiful sunset.

Family birthday gathering Loved this experience in very tranquil surroundings. Saw some unknown species of kangaroo, emu with 6 chicks, koalas and amazing views of the coastline. Sasha was a fantastic guide/ celebrating her birthday and very generous with commentary and time. Loved the whole outing as part of my 70th celebrations.

Wonderful wildlife experience A great opportunity to see some native animals flourishing in a restored habitat. Binoculars allowed us close up views of some adorable marsupials!
We were also lucky to see an emu with six chicks.
If you have kids, they also do a kids’ animal talk which was also great.

Dusk Walk with my son I took my 7 year old son on the nighttime wildlife tour and it was absolutely incredible. Neither of us will ever forget it. Our guide Erin was incredibly informative and really enthusiastically enamoured with her job and because of that she made it so enjoyable. She was also so inclusive of my son and his desire to participate and spot animals. We both loved it. Highly recommend!

We stumbled upon this Wildlife Wonders on our way from Apollo Bay to Twelve Apostles and it was probably the highlight of our trip. This is a wildlife conservation park so you can spot them in the park with the help of the local guide. Our guide Nicole is amazing and she taught us so much about the plants and wildlife in this area. The whole walkabout would take about 75 minutes and you can definitely see koalas, kangaroos 🦘 wallabies, emus and more! Totally worth the stop and the time. An adult ticket costs around $59 (double check on their website) and it is totally worth it

Had an amazing experience here - our guide Annalise was super friendly and clearly very passionate about what she did, which added to the great energy of the whole tour! We were able to catch a glimpse of many interesting animals and learnt a lot about the Australian wildlife! Really glad we stopped for the guided tour - definitely recommend!

Very impressively well-operated Eco tourism!! I am so glad that I looked into this and joined a tour with my friends after so many trips to Apollo bay!! I LOVE IT!! Amazing sights of animals at dusk We were made to feel very welcome and served with a very good quality light supper. Arriving early we had time to browse in the shop and learn about Wildlife Wonders.
We were well equipped with binoculars and and as the evening wore on we saw increasing numbers of native Australian animals in their protected natural habitat. We saw bandicoot, poteroos, swamp wallabies, kangaroo, emu and of course koalas. Our guide was very helpful and enthusiastic, spotting the animals and telling us all about them.
All in all it was a very enjoyable evening which I would recommend to anyone interested in learning about and seeing these elusive animals where they are protected from non native species.

We had a wonderful tour with Sarah yesterday. She was very knowledgeable and wonderful with the 2 kids we had with us. We were super lucky to see wallabies, kangaroos, emus, kolas and even a pademelon. It was a great facility and not for profit with the money going to conservation. Go if you're in the area.

Wonderful reserve with lots of wildlife A must do! We happened to arrive 5 minutes before the 1 pm tour (you must go with a guide) on a walk around this reserve. The animals are free to roam, and are wildlife so not guarantees on what you will see. They don't feed them as they are wild!

We were lucky to see so many animals even with the 20 people in the group. We saw 3 emus, a kangaroo family with their joeys, a swamp wallaby, a kookaburra (who then flew off and sang to us!!!). We saw koalas, one of whom suddenly woke from his midday nap and started climbing and then needed a snack of eucalyptus leaves - quite a show. It was fun to to watch. We saw a gang gang cockatoo, a bandicoot and some other birds, lots of flora.

The path is flat is so easy to walk around. Our group kept spotting animals which helped the guide a lot. Our guide spent a bit too much time talking - we were interested in the history and animal info but some times it is nice for quiet to just enjoy the wildlife(we took off the head phones).

Would definitely recommend this reserve to visit.

Interesting & informative. Interesting & informative, Alex took a group of about 10 for our stroll along a walking track which was suitable for all fitness levels and ages. Alex spoke eloquently, with amazing excitement and enthusiasm for someone whose professionalism shone - she had probably done this before & more than once! Friendly and outgoing, she happily pointed out all sorts of intriguing things along the way and patiently answered our questions. I learned a lot - who knew that emus have a stomach called a gizzard for pebbles that they swallow, which assist the breakdown of seeds and twigs? Not me, until now!!!
We saw numerous koalas, Pademelon (who were more interested in making more Pademelons than us!), Wallabies, Bush Rats, Emus & a Bandicoot.

Time passed quickly , I’d happily do it again, anyday.

This is an amazing place, the staff are fabulous and the young lady who showed us around was so enthusiastic it was contagious.
We saw all the animals we expected and quite a few we hadn’t heard of.
The kangaroos are exceptional, the koalas are a bit aloof, but they are wild animals and we must respect them.
I can only recommend this place as a must see destination if you’re travelling the Great Ocean Road.

What an excellent experience! We basically saw them all: koalas, kangaroos, emus, wallabies, a bandicoot, and potoroos. But the star of the show was the wild yellow tailed black cockatoo! Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and was just as excited as we were to catch glimpses of all the creatures. Would recommend (and return!)

Wonderful Experience This is a magical place. A beautiful walk through nature with a knowledgeable guide. We saw a male and female emu up close and could hear the distinct noises that each of them made. We saw several koalas. And we learned a lot from our guide. It was a wonderful experience, great for the whole family.

A must do on the Great Ocean Road Recently visited the animal sanctuary during our stay at Apollo Bay and had the most amazing time. If you think it is a little expensive it is worth every penny and you are supporting the sanctuary to continue with its fabulous work. We were expertly guided around the site, which is a comfortable walk even though the weather wasn’t too good it made no difference as a poncho was provided along with a headset to hear our guide and binoculars. I felt at ease to ask any questions and had close encounters with all the wildlife which, for me, was simply amazing. When you have finished your tour I would recommend staying for a coffee and homemade cake in the cafe area. All in all, for us, it was a fabulous few hours in an all year round venue.

We did the twilight tour and were served paella for dinner…I thought it would be a snack but we got a meal before our tour. Anytime someone else cooks for my family it’s a win!

Very good tour. Luck plays a huge role. If you're lucky all the animals come out for you to see them. If unlucky they stay hidden and it's just a nice walk with some nice scenery.

The middle part where you get to see across the edge into the ocean really is nice.

If you want to see koala, kangaroo and pademelon you must visit Wildlife Wonders. We were a group of 21. With so many it would be easy to scare the animals away, but we saw 3 pademelon. 4 koalas, 6 kangaroos, 1 wallaby and 1 parakeet. Simon who was our guide was fantastic. He had so much knowledge and shared it with us in an educational and fun way that gave us a good understanding of Australia's wildlife. He took 45 minutes more than planned, but we loved every minute we were there. Time flies when you're having such a good time

Awesome Place, Great Conservation Work This visit was an add-on to the Platypus Paddle through Around and About tours, at the recommendation of our guide TOTALLY worth it. Although the animals were not “technically”wild, they had a vast predator free enclosure to roam in, and you are not guaranteed of seeing any of them, which adds to the experience. It is very much like seeing them in the wild, which unfortunately isn’t possible anymore for some of these rare and endangered animals. Great views and lots of information about Long-nosed Potteroos, Koalas, and Pademelons plus Emus too. Really, don’t miss this place. Your admission fee supports vital conservation work. AND . as a bonus, we loved the cafeteria!

Absolutely LOVED our Walk with Wildlife today! We were four adults and from the moment we walked in we felt welcomed with open arms. Our amazing tour guide Sascha pointed out many different plants and animals to us. We were lucky enough to see many pademelons, wallabies, kangaroos, koalas and a pair of emus! And if they are far away you can even use the binoculars they give to you at the start. On top of that, this place looks and feels top-notch. The cafe offers a very high standard of food and beverages, we were even amazed by the high quality of the gift shop. All in all an amazing experience and worth every cent. As a matter of fact, TAKE MY MONEY and continue taking the best of care of this wildlife sanctuary ????

It was an incredible Dusk Tour yesterday evening. Was amazing to see the so many Animals in the wilderness. The Team from wildlife wonders is doing a great Job!

We had an amazing time looking at the wildlife and learning more about the creatures and vegetation here in Victoria. Liam who is a great guide, would highly highly recommend visiting this place!

Definitely worth a visit Really enjoyable. We visited with our children aged 9 and 6 and they enjoyed the pace and duration. Well worth it to see some of the native plants and animals in a natural environment.

Guided tour through natural habitat Booked tour at 14:00 as earlier slots fully booked, half expecting the wildlife to be half asleep. Completely wrong as saw multitude of active koalas including one climbing up from the undergrowth, and another low level close to the path. Between the group and our sharp eyed guide Sasha spotted couple of pademelons , red shoulder and swamp wallabies, a family of kangaroos and pair emus. An easy walk along a well maintained path, which with the extra sightings took two hours, although did not feel that long. And for those who appreciate wood, admire the path blackwood handrail, a labour in love by a very skilled craftsman. Or if into security ask about the fence design as clearly very effective in creating and maintaining this wildlife oasis since opening three years ago.

Delightful way to see Australian native animals Such a delightful early evening tour of this fabulous wildlife conservation area. The individual head sets were an excellent way to ensure everyone could hear. Our guide Louisa had a soft voice and it was perfect for this. She was an excellent guide and keenly shared her knowledge with us about all the wildlife we saw. Afterwards our tour group sat and shared a delicious meal that was included in our tickets. Highly recommend visiting this reserve and doing a tour.

Best wildlife encounter experience The tour was extremely well organised, they had headsets for every one which allowed our guide to speak softly and not disturb the wildlife but we could all hear at the volume we need. Fantastic for people with hearing impairment. Our guide Louisa was very knowledgeable and attuned to the environment, able to alert us to sounds and point out animals we would not have heard or seen on our own. On this particular tour we were able to spot every single species they had on the beautiful property including the reclusive echidnas, the potaroos and the emus. The tour concluded with a very convivial sit down meal and a glass of wine. One of the best experiences we had in the area and great value, also nice to know the money goes back into conservation and research. No hesitation to recommend to everyone travelling in the Apollo Bay area.
