Allison met me at Arthur’s Seat and handed over a Trek MB with puncture kit, first aid, lock etc. perhaps most importantly detailed route notes and maps.
The route is mainly downhill from Arthur’s Seat (as long as you don’t get lost). Plenty of places for coffee and food. Allison can pick you up along the route so you don’t have to worry about riding its entire length if you get tired (or overindulge).
Just be aware that many wineries are only open Friday - Monday so on a midweek ride you might find not many places open.
Libbie met us off the ferry from Melbourne and provided us with everything we could possibly need. Great Trek bikes in top condition.
The route provided was easy to follow and good suggestions for places to stop.
There were lots of wild birds including Pelicans.
Highly recommended if you want to escape the city for a day.
We had an outstanding experience with Vine Wine Tours! Alison met us right at our accommodation and took care of everything from the get-go. She provided super helpful, detailed maps and set us up for a self-guided ride along a mostly downhill trail—perfect for our group of four, which included two keen cyclists and two less experienced ones.
We had an absolute blast! Highlights included a wine tasting stop at Eldridge Cellar Door, a delicious lunch at BBQ Gums, a visit to the Truffle Shop, and some browsing at Merricks General Store—a fantastic spot we almost wished we’d finished at! (Though we did enjoy continuing on to the beach.)
Alison picked us up at the end and dropped us back to our accommodation—top-notch service from start to finish. The full ride was around 27km and was a total highlight of our week in the Mornington Peninsula. Highly recommend booking with Alison and Vino wine Tours!
The bike tour through Mornington was perfectly organized and suitable for all fitness levels. What really set this experience apart was the personal touch - Alison and Libby's knowledge and friendly approach made everyone feel comfortable and engaged throughout the tour.
The grand finale was a stunning picnic with absolutely delicious catering that exceeded our expectations. The food selection was fantastic and it was the perfect way to wind down after our cycling adventure.
This was exactly what we needed for team bonding - combining outdoor activity, great views, and amazing food. The entire team hasn't stopped talking about it since!
Highly recommend Cycling Vine Tours for any corporate team building event. We'll definitely be back! Thank you Alison and Libby for an unforgettable experience.
I was a bit nervous as I usually ride an ebike but found the wide wheels and the suspension of the bike provided was perfect for the trails and i felt much safer.
I’d bought the present for my brother and we had a ball. A great variety of scenery and of course, lots of stops for coffee, wine and food.
The maps were brilliant and it was reassuring to know we could ring at any stage and be picked up .
It would be a great activity to do as a group of friends or with interstate or overseas visitors.
Highly recommend !
One of the best days out we’ve had in Australian so far.
Would highly recommend if you want to explore the peninsula!
Thanks again
Libbie our host was lovely very friendly and had a wealth of local knowledge she pointed out places of interest and gave us plenty if time to stop and take photos.
It's a great experience to get out of the city and see something different
