Ochre Ceremony
Participants are invited to apply ochre, a natural earth pigment used for thousands of years in ceremony and art. Learn about the cultural significance of ochre and its connection to identity, Country, and kinship.
Boomerang or Spear Throwing
Take part in traditional throwing activities guided by Aboriginal educators. Learn proper techniques, safety, and the history behind the tools used for hunting and ceremony. It’s a fun, hands-on way to connect with traditional skills and stories.
Bush Tucker Walk & Talk
Explore the native plants used by Aboriginal people for food, medicine, and tools. Discover how knowledge of the land has been passed down through generations, and how these teachings remain vital today.
Traditional Dance & Music
Feel the rhythm of Country as you learn traditional dance movements accompanied by clapsticks and song. Dance has always been a powerful way to share stories, celebrate, and connect to ancestors.
Artefacts & Storytelling
See and touch traditional artefacts including tools, weapons, and instruments. Hear the stories behind each item — how they were made, used, and passed down through time — keeping culture strong and alive.
