Learn to Surf with Surf & Sun at one of SA’s safest surf beaches – Middleton Beach. Lessons are available at multiple times each day and include wetsuit, rash top, suncream and surf board.

Surf & Sun are a licensed surf school with Surfing Australia and have won numerous tourism awards for Best Adventure Tourism South Australia.
Surf & Sun’s lessons are 2 hours duration, they include all the equipment such as safe soft surf boards, full length wetsuits, rash top and suncream.
Lessons are held at the end of Chapman Road, Middleton in the first carpark. You can also register at our surf shop – Surf & Sun at 44 Victor Harbor Goolwa Rd, Middleton SA 5213. We are right next to the Middleton bakery. In winter from May to October please meet straight at the beach as the shop is not always open.
All instructors hold level 1 surf coach certificate plus surf rescue, working with children certificate and first aid.
For the safety and best experience of all, we request that children 9 and under must be accompanied in the water by an adult that is not participating in the lesson. We will provide a wetsuit for the parent free of charge.

Some important points regarding your upcoming lesson;
- Minimum numbers of 3 participants do apply for a group surf lesson, if your lesson does not reach these numbers we will contact you with alternate options.
- For the safety and best experience of all, we request that children 9 and under must be accompanied in the water by an adult that is not participating in the lesson. We will provide a wetsuit for the parent free of charge.
- Safety is paramount to us, if we think that the weather conditions are not suitable prior to the lesson we will be in contact with you and offer to reschedule the lesson.
- Please arrive 15 minutes before your lesson and register at the beach, located at the end of Chapman Road, Middleton in the first carpark.
