As for the refund, our terms and conditions clearly state that we aim to reschedule tours wherever possible, which we offered. The refund policy applies only when rescheduling is not an option. I understand that not everyone in your group could attend the new date, but as a business, we are bound by our terms, which are in place to ensure fairness for all parties, including us. Regarding the claim of “double dipping” by adding more people to the tour, that is simply not true. Here’s the full context: originally, your business, Photo Tours Australia, operated by Adrian, from Townsville, reached out wanting to hire my boat for two full days with 14 people. I reserved those dates for over two months. However, just two days before the trip, I was informed that only 4 people could make it, and they could only commit to one day. This left me significantly out of pocket, as I had turned down other bookings to accommodate your original request. The two additional guests were added to help fill those spaces and reduce losses. The tour was still exclusive to your group, and this arrangement was discussed in advance as a way to mitigate the financial impact. Also, be mindful, you are running illegal tours as you are not allowed to take people in any of these national park areas, charge and them for a service when you DO NOT have a CAP (Commercial Activity Permit). I asked you to obtain one many times and you failed to show it to me, so technically, your have broken the law. Lastly, I’d like to clarify that I did not block you to avoid resolving this issue. Our team attempted multiple times to reach a resolution, and we believed the matter was closed after offering the reschedule and accommodating alternate guests. Blocking occurred only after the conversation became unproductive, with escalating hostility that made further communication difficult.
