Welcome to South Stradbroke Island


A 22-kilometre stretch of untouched beauty, South Stradbroke Island is the southernmost sand island in Moreton Bay and is protected as a Queensland Conservation Park.


Once you arrive at Tipplers, you’ll have two hours to relax, explore, and soak in island life.




  • Wander along the scenic trail to the island’s eastern beach – you might even spot a golden swamp wallaby on the way!




  • Snap the perfect photo with the Surfers Paradise skyline shimmering in the distance.




  • Visit during winter and you might catch sight of migrating whales offshore.




  • Feeling peckish? Grab a bite or a refreshing drink from the Tipplers Café before heading back.

We will contact you the night before – prior to 7pm – if the weather forecast is not looking ideal to discuss options. We use a range of forecasting tools to try and predict what the weather will be doing and to provide you the most notice in the case that we cancel a charter.
