Our unique Glass Bottom Kayak Tour is often referred to as a “Wildlife Safari”, with the aim to spot as much wildlife as possible! You will uncover the hidden creatures of the pristine Cullendulla Nature Reserve on this relaxed, family-friendly 2-hour experience.
Innovative Perspex portholes allow guests to view the intricate underwater world below, with the possibility of sighting stingrays, crabs, fish, octopus and much, much more! But don’t forget to look left, right and UP for the chance to see dolphins playing, kangaroos grazing on the shore and soaring sea eagles.
Float through the mangrove maze and learn about the significance of this coastal vegetation and the protected species that call this area home. You will also learn about the Reserve’s fascinating Aboriginal history, and why it is now a protected sanctuary zone.
The tour runs twice a day and we recommend the morning tour for the best conditions and most wildlife activity! We provide delicious, healthy snacks, photographs of your adventure and guided access to an otherwise inaccessible natural wonder. We also provide you with a kayaking lesson before we go, so even first-time paddlers can get in on the fun!
Please keep in mind: you’re going to get a little wet! So we recommend comfortable, quick drying clothes and perhaps a change of clothes and a towel left in your car for when we return (more details on what to bring and where we meet will be sent with your booking confirmation).
Come and discover Cullendulla!
Please note: this tour ordinarily requires a minimum of 4 participants to run. If you wish to book with less than 4 people, please contact Region X to discuss a your options. These may include a private tour or joining another trip or activity.

The Region X Team
*Throughout all of our experiences we promote the philosophy of ‘Take 3 For The Sea’ to raise awareness of plastic pollution (marine debris). We encourage all people visiting our beautiful coastal region to take away with them at least 3 pieces of rubbish they might find, and dispose of it thoughtfully. We also encourage everyone to reduce their unnecessary, single-use plastic consumption – and make our world a little less plastic!

The spotted gums were awesome and beautiful to see our native animals. The water was pristine. Thank you Amy and Dave for sharing this experience with us.
You are both an asset to Region X.
Our tour guide Amy was absolutely brilliant; she ensured that everyone in the group was aware of safety protocols and gave comprehensive advice on kayaking to those in the group who were new to it. Amy was very knowledgeable about the marine life and the local environment which was just great and Amy makes a great cup of coffee!! Highly recommend this tour, 10/10 for fun, value for money and adventure.
We were lucky enough to encounter a bob of inquisitive fur seals on our trip which was unexpected and provided the highlight of our holiday.
Josh provided great communication throughout the planning and booking process and made sure the trip fitted in with our holiday plans.
This company is amazing and I recommend you do any of their experiences. Every time I've dealt with them they have been professional, flexible and friendly. Good people who just want you to get the most out of life!
It was the best up close and personal views of seals of my life. I loved the connections with Josh and the other participants. Morning tea was excellent. Everything about the day was excellent.
It ticked all the boxes
- scenery was amazing (we even saw whales - well done Region X excellent organisation)
- guides were smart, informative and fun!
- accommodation was amazing - woke up to beach views and kangaroos
- food was great!
A very manageable walk for all!
Another great thing was that the tour didn’t feel rushed at all.
Saw some rays, jellyfish, black swans, oyster catchers and kookaburras ????
Our car got a flat battery just before we leave for the tour, the ladies from Region X is kind and flexible to postpone our tour with short notice.
Michael, our Kayak instructor is super friendly, super patient and super knowledgeable.
We will explore their 5-hour Kayak + snorkeling next time when we can revisit Batemans Bay.
Mike was very calm and informative. We had a great morning tea too. We hope to come and have another snorkel soon!
Don’t even contemplate, if you’re looking for something to do in Batemans Bay, you gotta check Region X out and book this tour!
We went up all the way to the estuary and kayaking through the mangrove trees, which would be the only way to explore that area in style.
The trip is also separated with small breaks and the kids were having an awesome time playing games up on the beach.
Most of all, the team was always there making sure you're looked after throughout the entire journey.
Highly recommended! Thank you for making our morning so enjoyable!
Do not miss this or you have missed the best part of one of the greatest way to explore this area
With all the meals and organisation taken care of, all we had to do was turn up and enjoy this incredible
Walking is easy with only slight grades, carry plenty of drinking water for this walk.
Such a nice experience. Thank you!
