This two-hour Evening Astronomy – Observatory Tour includes a twenty-minute presentation, laser guided tour of showcase constellations and unique stargazing session through our specialised scopes in our state-of-the-art Observatory.

Whether you’re a seasoned stargazer or new to the wonders of space, our Evening Astronomy Tours provide an unforgettable experience that is sure to expand horizons and ignite a passion for the infinite realm above.

Guided by a team of knowledgeable, passionate Astronomers our two-hour Evening Astronomy – Observatory Tour includes a twenty-minute presentation, laser guided tour of showcase constellations and unique stargazing session through our specialised scopes in our state-of-the-art Observatory – providing visitors with mesmerizing vision of celestial bodies, distant galaxies and cosmic phenomena.


Suitable for all ages.  Children must be supervised at all times.  Please note – our site gets cold in the evening – so remember warm clothing.


To maintain the integrity of our delicate Dark Skies, we kindly insist that participants DO NOT USE any light emitting devices such as phones, watches, torches, light up clothing


“What if it’s too Cloudy to see any Stars?”

If weather related events impact the tour, visitors are entitled to join the tour again free of charge – the GDCO issues vouchers in these cases.  The complimentary return tour is reedemable once, within one year of the original booking.

If your tour is impacted and you are unable to attend a future date, you can request a partial refund (50% ticket price only).

Bookings cancelled by either party ahead of the tour due to weather conditions shall be eligble for a refund (75% – ticket price only).

For bookings made via an agent/third party – refunds should be directly sought and processed directly via booking agent.

 

This ticket also includes entry to the Gravity Discovery Centre on the day of the tour. You are welcome to arrive as early as you like on the day and explore our indoor galleries. Please keep in mind that if you would like to do the outdoor activities such as the tower climb and the solar system walk, these need to be done before dark. Don’t forget to bring a warm jacket during the winter months as it can get really cold inside the observatory.

If you would like to order food from the café pre-orders are preferred. The café closes 30 minutes before the start of the tour to allow everyone enough time to finish their meal. If you have ordered food please let reception know you have arrived and are ready for your food at least 30 minutes before the start of the tour.
