The tour begins at the serene hidden waterways right at Noosa Heads, a stunning mangrove ecosystem known for its perfectly calm, shallow waters and rich biodiversity. The name “Weyba” comes from the Aboriginal word for “Stingray,” and with so many of these graceful creatures calling the creek home, you’ll quickly see why.
As we paddle, you’ll float through enchanting mangrove tunnels. These natural pathways, created by dense mangrove growth along the edges and over the tops of narrow creeks and lakes, are a surreal and mystical experience.
There is a nice spot along the way where we will stop so you can have a quick and refreshing swim. This is totally optional though!
We can pick you up from locations in Noosaville and Noosa Heads on request!

Please plan to arrive early, as we’re unable to delay tours for late arrivals.

Also please note that sometimes we have to change the departure time last minute due to ocean tides or weather conditions. If that happens we will contact you by text message or WhatsApp.

Canoe Launching Ramp – Noosa Heads
Your tour begins at the small picnic area at the Canoe Launching Ramp on Weyba Esplanade, Noosa Heads. Across the road from 7 Weyba Esplanade. This is a quiet park at the start of Weyba Esplanade.
Just wait near the two picnic tables and the guide will come and greet you there.

• Easy Uber ride or even walking distance from Noosa Heads
• No toilet facilities at this location
Finish Location
The tour finishes back at the same location where you started (unless you are contacted by phone prior to tour to tell you otherwise).

There is an optional swimming opportunity during the tour.

Arrival & Transport – Very Important ⚠️
To ensure the best experience for everyone, we cannot delay tour start times.
If you’re using Uber or public transport, delays can happen — especially during busy periods.
We strongly recommend arriving at least 20 minutes early if you’re not driving yourself.
If you miss the tour start time, we cannot guarantee rebooking onto another tour.

All guests must complete a liability waiver before the tour. This will be done upon arrival.
What to Bring & Wear ?
Sun Protection
You’ll be out on the water for a while — sunscreen, sunglasses, hats and lightweight long sleeves are highly recommended.
Polarised Sunglasses
These make a huge difference for spotting stingrays cruising through the shallows.
Clothing
Wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing you don’t mind getting a little wet.
Water
Please bring a minimum of 750ml of water per person.
Towel
Recommended if you plan on swimming or splashing about.

We had a truly epic day at the Great Sandy National Park with Vince as our guide. This was a private tour with both surfboards and kayaks, and it ended up being one of the absolute highlights of our entire trip to Noosa, and honestly, Australia.
Vince is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the nature, wildlife, geology, and cultural history of the area, and he is also just a genuinely kind and lovely person to spend the day with. Fantastic experience today with Kevin during the Kayaking tour. He was friendly, knowledgeable of the local area, set out the plan well so that we knew what to expect, and then we were also able to explore some areas that even he hadn’t been able to access before due to the high tide. The guide was very friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. I think we were on the tour for around 6 hours but only apx 45 mins of that was actually in the kayaks. I honestly thought after all that driving we would be out there for longer to give more opportunities to find the dolphins. Weather was not great the day we went, we were given the option to cancel, we did go ahead with the tour and unfortunately we did not see any sea animals at all, but did see a kangaroo, some birds and a fox. Light refreshments were chips and Timtams.

The dolphin kayak was incredible. We saw so many dolphins, a manta ray and a turtle as well as tons of soldier crabs, some sea eagles and a monitor lizard. The whole day was one big adventure and our guides were super lovely too.

Just unlucky this time I booked this on my birthday, solo travelling in the hope of kayaking whilst whale watching. I have whale watched on boat tours before and thought this sounded like a unique experience and a great way to not disrupt the wildlife. Always tricky though when relying on nature! The weather got bad so I think the trip was maybe cut short, or we were just unlucky. Understandable though as I’m sure they wanted to ensure everyone’s safety. We did see a whale on the horizon when driving in so I think it was just unfortunate timing. I would recommend avoiding booking during the holidays if possible, as the group was very large. This i’d say was the main downside, as it was hard to hear what the guide was saying and had to just guess and follow the group when they headed back to shore. I get that it’s kind of impossible to be within earshot for such a large group though and to keep everyone together. Maybe we had drifted too far away. We did see a whale when back on shore, just a shame it was after we left the water.
Impressive driving from the guides back through the storm along the beach. They were also kind to drop us at cars/accommodation to avoid the rain. I can only review based on my own experience which was honestly more 3/5 for me but I felt bad to put that when that was partly due to uncontrollable circumstances! I’m sure with a smaller group it would be incredible, no doubt 5/5 and a bit more worth the money. Always the way and a risk when depending on nature!

We absolutely loved our day out with Tyron and the team. So pleased we did this amazing trip to the beautiful north of Noosa. We saw about 7 leaps from the humpback whales and a huge pod of dolphins, pretty close to our kayaks. Tyron was so knowledgeable and patient, very passionate about the area and wildlife. A day out at Double Island Point is a must when visiting the Sunshine Coast if you want a nature and wildlife experience. Vince and Casey were outstanding guides. We tagged along in our own 4wd and they were knowledgeable of the local area and a lot of fun. Never did I feel unsafe when out on the kayaks in open waters. We saw loads of dolphins and whales. Amazing experience. The instructor Tyron was clearly well experienced and knowledgable of the best spots to view the whales. He was also a really friendly guy. We actually managed to get so close to 3 huge humpback whales that could only have been 5-10 yards away from us when they came up for air which was simply breathtaking, and Tyron has been kind enough to send the footage he captured over. Such a fun day. Weather forecast didn’t look favourable but the storms went on around us and we watched from afar. After a cool trip down the beach we were on the water barely 10 min before the whales and dolphin sightings happened. They they came over to us for a closer look. Just one word about our kayak with the whales tour with Epic Ocean Adventures: MAGIC! MAGIC! MAGIC! The images will stay in my mind forever.
It was sunny and warm but windy and the water was very choppy, so not easy to paddle and we got wet quickly. But it was the best day of our two week trip in Australia. We were lucky to see 6 whales, very close to our kayaks, and a young whale playing with the dolphins.
Thanks to our guide Liam for having given us the opportunity to share this magical wild life. The driving on the beach along the colorful cliffs and the "blueberry" crabs were also very beautiful and fun.
I recommend this trip to every body. Take care of our nature and wild life.

Long time local, just wanted to explore through a visitors eyes and we had the best day. Saw so many whales, birds, dolphins, worms and learnt alot about home. Met some lovely tourists too. Highly recommend. We are pretty confident in kayaks and in the ocean, though our kayak guide gave good clear safety instructions about what to do if there was a problem. Also loved that on the drive up Vince took the time to show native wildlife and honour the smaller creatures too. Loved it all.

Thank you for an incredible tour. Epic Ocean Adventures was just that. Epic! Great communication ensuring pickup times/locations, great safety instructions. We enjoyed the 4x4 drive along the ocean, the kayaking experience, witnessing dolphins, turtles and having a humpback whale going under our kayak. A very refreshing swim afterwards was very welcomed and so were the Tim-tams on the drive back . Overall an amazing day spent in the crystal blue oceans with Epic Ocean Adventures.

What a cool experience!! We loved our epic adventure, our guide was just awesome! Gotta love that chilled out laid back Aussie vibe with such wonderful knowledge and skill! A very fun highway beach cruise to some of the most pristine untouched beaches in the world, it almost doesn't look real! followed by an adventurous kayak (that my 10yr handled easily) out to look for dolphins, which we unfortunately didn't get to see, although they had been there for the 2 days prior this is just how it roles with wildlife, but we did see turtles, & blueberry crabs haha. We had a fantastic time an the weather was stunning! Thanks team, highly recommend and would love to come back! 😊

Our Kayaking with the dolphins tour was absolutely EPIC! Our guide and instructor James went above and beyond for us all. Despite the sea being a little rough and windy, he took such good care of us, was on top of everything from the start to the very end. The early morning drive up the coast, the 4x4 experience. Scenes right out of a National Geographic documentary!! We saw so much wildlife! Crabs, Dolphins, turtles and humpback whales as they swam past us. It was truly an amazing experience! What can I say? My fiancée and I were blown away by the experience of the 4x4 dolphin view adventure!
Moments after meeting Vince, we knew that the day was going to be superb. He is super laid back and easy going, overflowing with passion and knowledge all things nature and wildlife. He made sure we were all comfortable and well informed before going out to sea via kayak. He was thorough through and through. We were in very capable hands.
The long drive along the coast was beautiful. Fortunately we got to see a bunch of turtles, dolphins and even a humpback dolphin! It was an experience we’ll never forget.

EPIC is indeed an accurate description! What an incredible trip out to Double Island Point with this personable, knowledgeable, professional crew. James, our guide informed us of all the local lore (surf-related and otherwise), and took care to identify all important points of interest. Smart, charming and professional, he was an A+ guide. We arrived at point to find ourselves virtually alone on one of the best waves in the world. Although it was small, we all got some long, LONG rights. (James is a lovely long boarder and will guide you to just the right spot.) The customer service, communication, responsiveness, timeliness were exceptional. Our family enjoyed ourselves thoroughly and cannot recommend Epic Ocean Adventures more highly. Book a trip with this company, you will not be disappointed!

We booked a private tour on the Double Island Point Wildlife Adventure for our family of five. The whole experience was wonderful, from the initial email communications, to the pick-up and drive, and the kayaking, and free time on the SUPs and the beach. We saw whales, dolphins, and sea turtles which was magnificent. Our guide for the day, Vince, was incredibly welcoming, fun, inspiring, and he had a wealth of knowledge that he was very happy to share with us about the local area and the wildlife. The snacks that were supplied were delicious and we arrived home feeling like we had just been on the trip of a lifetime. Thank you Vince and team! Highly recommend!

Never thought we could get so close to these beautiful creatures; it’s definitely an unforgettable memory. The professional guides made us feel safe on the water and even provided some great footage of the whales. Highly recommended! This is something you can't experience on a whale-watching boat. Kayaking was indeed exhausting, and we got soaked by the sea, but it was totally worth it!

We had the most awesome, special and memorable day with the eagle eyed legend himself, Vince - thank you so much. We kayaked amongst dolphins, whales, sea birds and turtles in what you could only describe as paradise. Vince was so knowledgeable and delivered all his information in an informal way - in Scotland we would say Vince was ‘great craic’! The 4WD trip along the beach was really cool too….and we didn’t have to get out and push at any point either! It’s a day I will never forget - thank you so much for the experience Vince.

We thoroughly enjoyed our nearly 8 hour tour with Vince! He’s a fantastic guide with a great deal of experience and knowledge around the Noosa ecosystems and surroundings. He accompanied our little one in the Kayak and looked after her really well! Thanks Vince! Epic have put together a fantastic package that involves a 50km 4x4 bus tour from Noosa through to the most pristine waters at Double Island point from where we began our kayak adventure. Throughout our 4x4 drive on the beach “National highway”, we saw nearly 50+ humpback whales. While kayaking we got lucky and experienced close encounters with these giant mammals along with their calves. It was surreal! Overall we must’ve seen close to 100 whales (few very close while kayaking while others from the bus) throughout the tour! All in all, we had an “Epic” adventure and would highly recommend it to anyone still on the fence about it.

Whale spotted! The Dutch tour guide was very friendly and knew an awful lot about the region and wild life. You could tell he respected the wildlife. His driving skills were excellent! The kayak tour itself was a bit heavy for the kids because the waves were pretty high. But in the end we did see a whale really closely.

Vince, our guide cum driver was amazing… he made the tour such a pleasant experience. We saw couple schools of dolphins (would say probably close to 40-50 dolphins), several sea turtles and huge manta ray. It’s was spectacular. We are a group of 2, my 6 year boy and myself. Vince took good care of us and make the kayak absolutely enjoyable. The drive along the beach is very scenic. I would strongly recommend the tour if you are up for some little adventure, yet safe.

Me and my boyfriend had a great time kayaking with Vince! We saw dolphins, turtles and loads of fish. It was such a lovely experience and we even saw whales from a distance both kayaking and on the 4x4 ride along the beach. An amazing day with legend Vince! Our first sand highway! Spotted a manta, stingray, a bunch of green turtles and more than 50 dolphins! On the drive, we saw some of the largest birds we’ve ever seen, including multiple white belly eagles and osprey. Double Island point was, indeed, epic!! Thanks, Vince, bad jokes and all.

Had the most fabulous day kayaking. Our guide Eliot was incredibly knowledgeable on the local wildlife (especially birds) and would stop and point them all out to us. On our excursion we saw a few whales which was awesome as well as dolphins and sea turtles. Epic Ocean Adventures Rainbow Beach The trip along the beach, coloured sands and blue ocean, was stunning. Our guide, Sean, was friendly, knowledgeable, and very experienced. His ability to read the beach while driving along the sand, was fantastic, particularly given it can change on a daily basis. We got to Double Island Point where he showed time and patience with an old fella trying to use a surf board. A great time was had, doing more falling off than standing. A final walk up the hill to see the lighthouse and the spectacular view.A fantastic way to spend some time in Rainbow Beach.

Vince was a legend of a guy and guide sharing interesting and unique insights into the wildlife, sea life and traditional land we toured. Even as locals, bringing guests from UK, we learned and experienced the wonder of this amazing place we call home and will never forget being among a pod of dolphins, seeing a beautiful sea turtle or two and learning more about them. Lots of fun! This is a great half day trip! We were expecting a leisurely kayak with some dolphin encounters - which I’m sure would happen when the ocean isn’t as turbulent as it was on the we went. Now in saying this, we happen to enjoy a bit of an adventure! We took our 12 year old twins & they also loved the adventure! We kayaked out through the waves, getting soaked along the way - the water temp was lovely! Once we got through the breakers we grouped together & headed out to the point. We saw a pod of dolphins which was exciting & paddled through some great swell before heading back in the ride back in amongst the waves was fun! We capsized the kayak, popped back up & enjoyed the short swim back to the beach. The guides were great & and had a great sense of humour :) if you like a like adventure & the ocean then definitely give this tour a go :)read moreread less
