The Rock Climb and Ropes Course experience at the Southern Adventure Hub is our brand new must do experience!
Set on the doorsteps of the McLaren Vale Wine Region in Blewitt Springs, you can experience heart thumping adrenaline fun surrounded by some truly beautiful scenery. The experience involves our 9-metre 2-sided rock climbing Adventure Tower and our continuous High Ropes course.
Sessions run for approximately 70-minutes and guarantee each participant a minimum of one try of each activity.
No experience necessary – Our guides are there to help you with instruction and technical expertise and encouragement.
Bookings can only be taken up to 72 hours prior to program session.

Requirements
- Children (under18 years) are welcome when accompanied by an adult. Adults that are accompanying children only (ie. not undertaking the experience) do NOT need to buy a ticket.
- Minimum weight: 25kg – Maximum weight: 120 kg
- Minimum height: 120cm

Thank you for booking on to our Rock Climb and Ropes experience at the Southern Adventure Hub.
Please arrive at the site 15 minutes prior to your start time as you will need to complete and sign a medical form and waiver.
You will need
- Comfortable clothes suitable to fit a harness over the top of and with enough freedom of movement to climb.
- Comfortable shoes with grip to assist with climbing.
- Please dress for the weather.
- You will be required to wear a helmet, but feel free to wear a sunhat or beanie to the event.
- Long hair will need to be tied back.
- Any medications that you may requires (eg. asthma puffer)
Weather
We operate in most weather conditions, including rain. We
have been doing this a long time and understand safe operating conditions. If
we are concerned, we will stop, pause, delay or shorten the session for a break
in weather.
If we assess the weather to be unsafe, Adventure Hubs SA may have to cancel or postpone/delay the session. We will attempt to do this prior to the day. On the actual day of service, weather conditions may still require our immediate intervention.
Extreme weather conditions where Adventure Hubs SA may have to cancel, or postpone/delay include:
- Fire Danger Ratings where it is extreme or catastrophic in the experience locations or if there are any fires near the experience locations that would make it unsafe
- Severe thunderstorms & lightning
- Extreme temperature (hot or cold)
- Severe wind
- Flooding
If we have to change the session, we will offer the next
time slot or cancel providing the opportunity for rescheduling.

One leader was gruff with my son when he asked questions such as “is this safe?” And “have you been on this?”
The actual activities are safe and fun.
Next time I would just go to the activities at Woodhouse Adventure Park which offer the same type of facilities and fun for young people without being hurried.
