Bryce was Outstanding as our guide
There were 12 of us on our tour. We varied in age from 58-78. Highly recommend it to anyone
The itinerary covered all the highlights of the Kimberley. I couldn’t have chosen a better tour company. I will definitely book other tours with them in the future.
Rosa (Italy)
Thanks to Clancy and Steve for their organisation, attention to detail, well planned itinerary, amazing food and great company! These guys work so hard and nothing is too much trouble for them. They made everything so comfortable and easy. Backed up by Bryce, they are a great team!
Thanks to the weather Gods for raining a couple of weeks before our trip! This meant we saw waterfalls flowing with heaps of water and a very green Kimberley region. Most memorable was Bells and Manning River Gorge, Mitchell Plateau and Purnululu. Thanks to Purnululu guide and elder Bec for welcoming us to her country in the most moving of ceremonies.
My fellow travellers were awesome and it was great to meet so many wonderful people to share the experience with!
The best thing to do for yourself is to book this trip. It will be one of the best things you can ever do! Highly, highly recommend it!
Every day we visited somewhere exceptional. Extras such as sunset champagne and nibbles at a couple of sites was a fabulous way to finish the day. The tents, mattresses and sleeping bags were really comfortable. Great food and plenty of ice-cold water.
Highly recommended!
1/ forge agreement with a group of friends (11+) to a private tour with Outback Horizons. Allows you to tailor the tour to the group's preferences
2/ having done your own research, liaise with Bryce and carefully consider his suggestions - he has tested many variations of undertaking The Gibb and knows his stuff
- this includes minimising of one night stays and not trying to cram everything into one trip, while also doing justice to the most epic locations, e.g. very glad we were persuaded to spend 3 nights at both Purnululu (Bungles) and El Questro
3/ apply YOLO principles to the expense – once you’re on the trip and understand what you’re getting for your money, it is great value
4/ throw in Clancy and Steve as your driver/guides/chefs
- join local boy/man Clancy in bombing competitions off rocks, but also observe him adroitly managing group dynamics; always with humour
- while Steve is not as funny as Clancy (sorry Steve), he has a great depth and breadth of knowledge of the natural and cultural features of the Kimberley; both are very respectful of culture and country
5/ add wonderful guest guides at key times – at Purnululu, aboriginal guide Bec had us amused and enthralled, and also touched our hearts
6/ have Bryce behind the scenes pre-empting and mitigating external provider errors, minimising any inconvenience – extraordinarily responsive and effective
7/ then submit to the magic of the Kimberley
Clancy Driver an Team Leader - Exceptional.
Phil an Steve - Excellent Support.

Australia.
I can not reccomend Horizon Kimberley Tours enough - Go take the trip you wont regret it.
We appreciated the mixture of camping in tents and tented cabins at El Questro.
The vehicle used was comfortable and roomy for our gear. Guides Clancy and Steve were efficient and engaged well with the group sharing their passion for and knowledge of the Kimberley and Aboriginal culture.
My husband and I would highly recommend Outback Horizons.
This was one of the best holidays we have ever taken and we are forever grateful to Bryce and his team for providing such a fantastic experience.
Highly recommend Outback Horizons.
We enjoyed every bit of the journey. So much gratitude.
Our hosts Caroline and Phil were fantastic.
All the camping equipment was first class and we slept well in our tents.
The vehicle was comfortable and Phil is a great driver.
We were amazed at the beautiful meals Caroline produced from the camp cooker.
Our group all formed great friendships and have lasting memories of our tour together.
We experienced so much on our 15 day trip. We learnt a lot about the Kimberley district from Phil and Caroline, their love for the area is evident.
Wonderful walks with opportunities for refreshing swims, star gazing, dawn chorus and pre dawn barking owl which really does sound like ‘woof woof’.
We loved the helicopter flight over Mitchell falls after the walk in and would highly recommend the optional flight over the Bungles. The tour also includes 2 relaxing boat cruises.
Great camping gear with easy to erect tents
Passing the larger tour companies our small group was always thankful that we were with Outback Horizons it really does enhance the experience.
We were lucky to share this experience with a great bunch of now new friends
Great friendly service from the first contact with Bryce till post tour recommendations
Great memories,great photos
Loved it!!
The Kimberly is fascinating, colourful, and endlessly varied and this company wants to share it all with it's clients.
Our guides Phil and Caroline went out of their way to give us the best experience possible - and yes, unforeseen things went awry as they can do in life, (none were of the company's making), but Bryce, Phil and Caroline went out of their way to quietly adjust, compensate and make our holiday a truly excellent time.
Phil unstintingly shared his extensive knowledge of the region, and his and Caroline's obvious enjoyment of the Kimberly rubbed off on us all.
The camping equipment and vehicle were modern, safe and comfortable and Caroline's catering, variety and choices of food, not to mention her excellent camp cooking helped us all to feel very pleased with our choice of travel company.
If you ever consider small group touring we happily recommend Outback Horizons.
