Enjoy up to two hours of peaceful paddling on the calm reservoir waters. Our high-quality kayak hire is designed for all skill levels, making it incredibly easy for complete novices to feel confident and secure from the very first splash. ✨
Your Kayak Hire Package
We provide everything you need for a relaxing and safe day on the water. Your hire package includes:
- Single Kayaks: Perfect for solo adventurers and youth (maximum weight capacity 120kg). 🚣
- Double Kayaks: Ideal for up to two adults and one child (maximum weight capacity 220kg).
- Premium Gear: High-quality paddles, comfortable life vests (up to three per double kayak), and dry bags to keep your valuables safe.
Important Pre-Arrival Information
To ensure a seamless start to your adventure, please complete the essential Pre-Check In procedure. In the interest of safety and insurance, all participants must complete a Check In Form as soon as possible after booking. Please ensure you print, complete, and bring along your CHECK IN FORM to avoid any delays on the day.
Safety and Equipment Guidelines
Your safety is our absolute priority. Please review our standard safety guidelines before heading out:
- Weight Limits: Maximum weight capacities must be strictly adhered to for maximum stability on the water.
- Life Vests (PFDs): We supply Personal Flotation Devices for adults over 40kg and children over 25kg. These are suitable for guests who can swim in an emergency. Please let us know in advance if you require a life vest for a non-swimmer.

Booking Policy
Bookings close 1 hour before the session starts.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation or Booking Changes (Current as at 2 December 2019):
- (a) Where cancellations are due to adverse weather, declared days of Total Fire Ban or other SA Water planned closures a full refund will be made less 2.5% admin fee unless the participants re-book another day / time to be mutually agreed with BKH.
- (b) All booking changes (day or time) must be advised at least 4 hours in advance and must be mutually agreed with BKH.
- (d) Where there is a NO SHOW or cancellation by the participant less than 4 hours in advance, there will be no refund.
