Want to explore the amazing underwater world Melbourne has to offer? Our highly experienced, professional dive guide will take you on an underwater adventure to see some of the beautiful marine life the Mornington Peninsula has to offer. We have some amazing colours & rare beautiful marine creatures like the Weedy Seadragons, Seahorses, Nudibranchs, and much much more….
If you haven’t yet dived in temperate waters, this is a great opportunity to get used to a thick wet suit and the weights required while under the watchful eye of your dive guide.

Tour Details

Meeting at our dive store, our guide will gear you up, provide a brief on the conditions, your dive site and the local marine life, before you are on your way. Depending on your dive site (chosen on the weather & conditions on the day by your guide), you will hop on board the Dragon Wagon to your dive location, and enjoy your dive.

Duration:

Each dive takes around 2 – 3 hours inclusive of briefing and travel to and from dive sites.

Times:

Daily dependent on the tides

What to Bring/Wear:

Bring your certification card, any personal dive gear, logbook, a towel, bathers, and something warm & dry to wear afterwards. Please be sure to bring a drink, snack or lunch.


Participant Conditions:

Participants must be a minimum of an Open Water Certified Diver and will be required to present proof of their certification on arrival. Dive and Travel insurance are highly recommended.


Ability:

This is a good way to get some experience in temperate waters. If you have not dived in more than 12 months we do recommend you do a Refresher Dive. Private tours can be arranged for groups, however additional fees may apply.


Medical:

Please in form us of any medical issues you have and if required bring your doctors consent form to your scheduled dive.

Important Notes

Please arrive 5 minutes prior to the start time. Should you have difficulty on the day diving, we will arrange a separate time for you to do a one on one dive with your instructor (additional fee applies).

When to arrive
During peak times, travel to the Peninsula can be delayed due to high traffic congestion.
Please allow extra travel time, as well as time to park your vehicle and freshen up so that we may commence your tour as scheduled.
If you arrive late, especially without notice, your tour may be reduced or forfeited.

What to bring
Water-based activities: bathers, towel, hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, warm & dry change of clothes.
Land-based activities: towel, hat, sunscreen and closed heel shoes.
Please dress for comfort and for the weather.

Weather
In some instances, weather may change unexpectedly and a tour may need to be rescheduled at the last minute. If you have concerns regarding the weather, please call to discuss, or you can also see our terms and conditions for more information.
PS. The sun shines more in Portsea than Melbourne!

Parking
The Portsea public car park is 2 hour parking from December until April.
All day parking is available in the car park behind the BayPlay shop or on Franklin Rd.
Direction Information: Location
Parking at Point Nepean is available at the Quarantine Station – this can also be busy during peak times.

Medical Information

Please read the attached medical form:
If you answer yes to ANY of these medical conditions you will need to get a Diving medical from a Dive Doctor before you will be able to complete this experience. 

Dive Medical Form

It is recommended that any guest with a medical condition fill in a medical statement prior to the tour.
Adequate medical advice should be sought prior to any activity including but not limited to the following: asthma, epilepsy, heart or lung conditions, ear injury, pregnancy & seasickness.
