Another fantastic stay at Rawnsley (camping on a powered site up the hill), such a magnificent spot. Definitely the best base from which to explore the Flinders.

Great stay, stayed in powered sites, plenty of room, very clean amenities and friendly staff. Did some walks around Rawnsley, so green and beautiful flowers everywhere.

From the warm welcome upon arrival, to the spacious powered site, to the well-maintained amenities (with awesome water pressure!), to the beautiful bushwalks around the station, we loved every minute of our stay at Rawnsley Park. The Flinders Ranges is looking magnificent at the moment and this is a great base to see it in all it's glory.

Very spacious sites especially the non powered ones. Stunning surroundings. Good amenities and large camp kitchen. Perfect base to explore the Flinders from. Fuel on site at a reasonable price considering the remoteness.

Great camp. Excellent amenities. Showers and toilets are clean and well maintained. Views of the ranges are outstanding and campsites are generally level with a choice of powered and unpowered. Good choice of walking tracks and a ripper bike riding. Restaurant was excellent with great food and wine but book ahead.

Fabulous location just south of Wilpena Pound looking at Rawnsley Bluff. We stayed in the Bush Camp section. Plenty of campsites but very rough roads in and out (just after heavy rain and floods). Very dusty even so. Good toilets and showers but showers were a long way back in main campground and some bush campsites were far from both toilets and showers. The Woolshed Restaurant at the other end of the station was good. Despite this, I will be reluctant to return.

The staff at the caravan park messed around our booking and were not very helpful when I pushed them to sort it. They certainly need a lesson in customer service. I made a fully paid booking for 2 cars, 6 people and 3 nights, 5 months in advance. Several weeks before our arrival I rang to extend the booking for 2 more nights (5 nights total) and paid extra to do so. They initially sent a confirmation for only 3 people for 5 nights. I queried this, as the original booking was for 6 people, and they subsequently confirmed with an email that I indeed had a booking for 6 people for 5 nights fully paid in advance with zero balance owing. When we arrived to check in, the woman at the desk seemed unaware of this and had a very unhelpful attitude. Despite me showing her the email I had been sent, she insisted that she could only let us stay if I paid an extra $94. When I complained about this she halved it to $47 as if she was doing me a favour. It would have been much better customer relations to admit the mistake was theirs and honour the booking that they had previously confirmed.

I had also made a restaurant booking when I made the original camp booking. I then got multiple emails suggesting that I should book the restaurant in advance so as not to miss out. When I extended our booking I asked for and received an email confirming dinner was already booked for 6 people. I then started to get repeated emails asking me to click a link to confirm the booking and threatening cancellation if I didn’t confirm it. However, whenever I clicked the link it took me to a page that only had the option to cancel but no option to confirm the booking. I finally had to get the check-in staff to confirm the restaurant booking on our arrival.

Not good enough RPS. I wonder if the lack of competition has produced an indifferent attitude amongst some staff. Please get your booking system sorted and give your staff some customer relations training.

Tried repeatedly to comment on their site but kept glitching out. Clearly there are problems with the computer system.

Rawnsley Park Station is absolutely worth the stay. Scenic views from the caravan park. We rode the bike path below the bluff and were totally disappointed in the condition of the track. I informed staff at the store and they shrugged it off saying "we have had a lot of rain in the last couple of days". They did not ask what was wrong with it, they just blamed it on the rain. Rain did not have anything to do with the large rocks hidden in the long grass on the trail. We understand the streams are washed out, but not the track. They make thousands of dollars a day from tourists, but i did not see anyone repairing tracks.

This was the first time we had visited the Flinders Rangers and staying at Rawnsley was a highlight. Spacious sites, clean amenities and large camp kitchen. The staff in the office and maintaining the park were friendly and helpful. The walks were well signposted and a variety of fitness levels were catered for. The bush camping sites were well spread out with added bonus of toilets too. The views were magnificent especially at my favourite time of the day at Sunset. We stayed in a powered site for 7 days. A working sheep station set in the beautiful scenery of the central Flinders Ranges, We booked a powered van site which was good and level. Excellent amenities, a store with essentials and beautiful lamb in the freezer from the Station herd. Dog minding at $50 per day was good to allow a day in the National Park. The walks on Rawnsley are also worth it.

We loved every thing about this magical location. From the stunning vistas, beautiful walks and the spacious campsites to the clean and hot showers.
We enjoyed a stunning sunset walk, bike rides- the bike track is brilliant, the walk to the waterfall was pretty and very achievable.
We have fallen in love with Rawnsley Station and the Flinders Ranges and will definitely be back. Too much to see to just visit once. Thank you so much for creating such a wonderful environment to camp in. We loved it.

With the feeling of remote camping but having all amenities within a short drive I highly rate Rawnsley. All amenities were clean and better than expected.

This station stay has everything from bush camping (which is what we do), powered sites, cabins. We always choose bush camping and the sites are large, level and private. The reception people are wonderful. Walking maps available for all abilities. There is a little store. Great showers and washing facilities. Water filling facilities even with a hose in place. Beautiful views. Easy access to great walks or you can drive to other walks. Well priced also. Welcoming and very well set up.

Amazing location - hard to beat. Great sites, clean amenities and the grounds kept clean. Difficulties with booking on the site, then tried to charge for extra sites. This has happened before too. I would always ring to confirm as there seems to be issues with the booking system. Otherwise a fantastic base for exploring the beautiful Flinders Ranges.

Rawnsley Park is a great place to stay. We had a cabin that was very comfortable and well equipped with a full functioning kitchen. Lots to do there and the woolshed restaurant is great but not cheap. Great views of Wilpena and the ranges. Mobile and WiFi is limited and so is TV service so great to get away.

Amazing staff, great facilities, and incredible scenery. I go here in Winter every year. Huge range of walks for all ages and fitness types too!

Great park with amazing views

We stayed in the bush camping area (unpowered). Fantastic. Plenty of sites/areas to stop. Nothing is designated in the unpowered area. The views of the ranges is spectacular from the bush camping area. The powered area is like a caravan park but if you need electricity then that is what you need. The staff in the reception are so helpful. The helicopter tours are reasonably priced. Amenities are clean with nice hot water. Even the bush camp area has a couple of flushing toilets spread out and very clean. Rubbish bins everywhere and emptied daily. The Restaurant has the best atmosphere and awesome pizzas. This is a must visit and stay place. We were there for 3 nights but we could definitely stay longer.

We had an amazing stay at Rawnsley Park Station! We visited as a couple travelling with our caravan and our dog, and it exceeded our expectations.

Check-in was quick and easy, and the bush camping area offered plenty of sites to choose from, many with incredible views of the Flinders Ranges. The amenities were clean and well maintained, and the little grocery store had all the essentials we needed.

The restaurant was one of the highlights of our stay. We highly recommend booking a table, especially if you’re visiting during busy periods. We had the lamb share plate, and it was absolutely delicious! We enjoyed it so much that we came back the next day to grab some takeaway cornbread. We also loved Happy Hour. If you’re travelling with a dog, you can sit outside on the verandah, which has heaters, so it’s comfortable even on cold evenings.

The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful, and there are so many activities to enjoy. We especially loved the self-drive 4WD tour. We kept our dog safely in the car, and she still got to enjoy the beautiful scenery with us.

One thing to keep in mind if you’re travelling with a dog is that some walking trails have 1080 baiting for wild dog control. The signs are clear, so we simply avoided those tracks and still found plenty to see and do.

We would happily recommend Rawnsley Park Station to anyone visiting the Flinders Ranges. Whether you’re travelling with a caravan, camping, or bringing your dog, it’s a fantastic place to stay. We can’t wait to come back!

Excellent facilities in abeautiful setting

Loved Rawnsley Park Station. Check in was easy. We requested a Bush Camp and camped down by the dam with unobstructed views of the Ranges. These sites are a 'find your own spot' mission. A walk back to camp to access the amenities block (or just drive back like we did), but a small price to pay for that view! Amenities were clean and well maintained. Great showers.
We booked ourselves in for a chopper ride at reception and that didn't disappoint either. Our pilot Lachie was fantastic & booking was too easy with reception staff. A great way to get your head around the scale of Wilpena Pound and the Flinders Ranges. Plane flights available too.
Highly recommend staying here at either the powered sites or bush camp sites like us.

Rawnsley Park is a good central location for exploring Flinders Ranges and Wilpena Pound. The walks that start from Rawnsley (or nearby) are iconic. Having stayed in a number of locations around the Flinders, we wouldn't say it was fantastic. For families and people with RV's or large vans, it would be a good choice. We r set up for remote camping and have had better experiences at other locations (specifically station stays). While Rawnsley was convenient, we found it crowded and a bit bland. The location makes it.

The staff were very welcoming and friendly. A well set up park with everything you need. Stunning scenery, with walk trails. Do yourself a favour and book the Woolshed for dinner amazing food. Beautiful part of the country.

Great Loay Great location with multiple options for accommodation.We camped in the Bush area which had access to clean flush toilets without the need to head back to the main cara van area. Special thanks to reception staff and Scott who helped us when we had issues with our Solar system.

Happy camping Great set up in the bush camp. Plenty of room between camps, lovely natural sites next to the dam. We were in a swag.

Gorgeous views and clean amenities Rawnsley park was the perfect spot for us to stay and explore the beautiful Flinders Ranges. We stayed in the unpowered outback section of the campsite and the views were just incredible. Toilets were available nearby and also just a short walk or drive back to the main campsite, the shower blocks were super clean and lovely to have available too. Would highly recommend a stay here!

Relaxing holiday Flinders Ranges We had a powered site which was flat and spacious. Reception/shop staff were friendly and helpful. Great location for exploring central Flinders Ranges. Camp Kitchen was large and well equipped. Amenities were modern and clean, but a shower caddy in each shower would have been a great addition for soap, shampoo etc whilst showering. Due to some heavy rain, the exit from the park had deep water & pot holes and most caravans were leaving through the entrance road due to this. Perhaps a little maintenance is needed during rain events.

A great option if travelling with dogs. We stayed at Rawnsley Park station as we wanted to get the Flinders Ranges experience with our dogs.

The facilities were good, the staff friendly and helpful.

My only complaint is that their walking trails and maps are not terribly clear. It didn't stop us having a very pleasant walk, and we found our way home! I appreciated the sign warning us that bait had been laid in some areas, and we kept our dogs away from those areas and watched them closely elsewhere.

We stayed in a 22ft van off grid and absolutely loved it. Way more to see in this region than we expected and ended up extending our stay. Loved the park exclusive 4wd track. The park overlooks a beautiful range which lights up in the afternoon. The restaurant is worth a night off with stunning food. Highly recommend this place.

We loved our stay on a powered caravan site at Rawnsley Park Station. Great welcome on arrival. Good amenities and can purchase firewood. Powered sites have either individual or shared campfire areas. Fuel on site. Great views to Rawnsley Bluff. Hikes and bike rides on Station. Unpowered sites available close to amenities or pick a spot over a huge area if you want a private bush camp experience.

We stayed in a 1-bedroom cabin offering comfortable, no-frills accommodation ideally suited for outdoor enthusiasts. The cabin is clean and well-maintained, with effective air conditioning and a quiet setting conducive to rest after active days.

The kitchenette is functional and adequately equipped for self-catering, though cookware shows signs of wear. The cabin's positioning provides direct access to premium hiking trails, with Rawnsley Bluff offering exceptional panoramic views of the ranges and is particularly striking at dawn and dusk.

Staff demonstrated professionalism and attentiveness throughout our stay. The on-site Woolshed Restaurant provides quality dining options for guests preferring not to self-cater.

Rawnsley Park Station functions effectively as a strategic base for exploring the Flinders Ranges wilderness. Recommended for those prioritising location and outdoor access over resort-style amenities, altough they do have eco-cabin options.

Spectacular 360• scenery as you take in the sunset atop one of the peaks of the Arkapena track. The 4WD trek to get there was memorable, taking in the pastoral lands and rugged terrain. Craig our tour guide was fantastic, providing relevant commentary & conversation and well organised hosting the sunset drinks & nibbles.

Rawnsley Park Has Stolen Our Hearts 🩷 Our stay at Rawnsley Park Station was so good that we didn’t want to leave. The views of the ranges are simply breathtaking, and the beautiful hiking trails that start right from the station make it the perfect base for exploring the Flinders Ranges. The atmosphere is wonderful, with sunshine flooding the landscape from morning to evening.

The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the amenities were spotless. The toilets, showers, and camp kitchen were all exceptionally clean and well maintained. It’s easy to see why so many people love this place. We will definitely be back!

Enjoyment and Beauty Wrapped Up We recently stayed for 5 nights at Rawnsley Park Station in the Flinders Ranges and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The check in process was well presented with efficient and friendly staff.
The scenery of the Flinders is breathtaking with incredible views in every direction giving us a real sense of space & peace.
We loved the stunning sunsets, abundant wildlife and our awesome helicopter experience.

Great location & facilities We stayed in the caravan park which is amazing. Great facilities, good sites with fire pits, choice of powered or unpowered in the bush camping area. Great walks from the station - highly recommend the Rawnsley Bluff walk. Would definitely stay here again.

Remarkable Place to visit and stay We spend four days at Rawnsley Station and loved every minute. The Rawnsley Bluff hike, whilst certainly challenging and difficult, was worth every ounce of effort.

The Woolshed dining experience was one of my most memorable. The lamb for two meal was to die for and the wine a perfect match.

We stayed at the unpowered campsite (we were self contained) and had the most wonderful view from our site, having a campfire each night. Thoroughly recommend staying here. Will definitely be back.

Bush camping and 4 WD We camped at Rawnsley Park Station in the bush camp area near the dam. It was very peaceful with lots of room, flush toilets are centrally located in the area. Hot showers and wifi are available in the caravan park. We originally booked for 5 nights but were enjoying ourselves so much we extended to 7 nights. We definitely recommend booking in for dinner at the Woolshed restaurant, the lamb shanks were delicious. Staff are welcoming and knowledgeable. It is centrally located for you to enjoy all the Flinders has to offer.

Fantastic stay at Rawnsley Park 10 out of 10. The Eco Villas are beautifully designed, with full kitchen and laundry facilities, perfectly positioned to take in the spectacular scenery. Sitting on the balcony and gazing at the milky wat was a particular highlight.
Breakfast provisions are provided in the room, cereal, eggs, bacon, juice etc. In the evenings dinner can be made in the unit, or taken at the onsite Woolshed restaurant, which can also provide take away pizzas and BBQ packs. Lamb from the station is the speciality and is delicious.
There are a number of day hikes accessible from the station and they are all listed in terms of difficulty and length. I'd recommend driving a couple of minutes up the road to do the Arkaroo Rock hike to see the paintings. The 4x4 tours really enhance the stay with excellent guides and a real insight into the area. It would have been very difficult to see the rare yellow footed rock wallabies any other way.

Views, facilities, and great staff The station is a magical place to stay for three or four nights. We booked in for three nights but stayed the extra night, which wasfor free. The camp facilities are excellent and the facilities were always very clean. The view from the campground is epic and there are so many individualbush camping spots that can grant you privacy. I would highly recommend a stay here.

Excellent set up all round Great set up on the edge of the national park. My cabin was very comfortable. Wi-fi was much better than I’d expected, which proved handy for me. The Woolshed Restaurant was excellent. Great food and service. Fifteen minute drive to Wilpena Pound, and Rawnsley Bluff just a few minutes away.

Flinders Ranges- bucket list adventure Great place to stay. Location is excellent for accessing all things about the Flinders. Plenty of walks, 4wd tracks, flights etc to do without even leaving Rawnsley Station. Loved our time in the Flinders - we will be back.

A pretty setting, with some colourful birds. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Furnishings a bit dated and layout didn't really work. The only place to watch the TV was from the bed. The sofa was too small to be comfortable and facing the sink.
WiFi was good. Staff polite and someone came to help with the TV and aircon, neither of which were obvious to use.

Best views available and an absolute bargain! We had a fantastic time at Rawnsley Park Station. We stayed in the bush camp section and accessed a great spot with amazing views. The facilities are close by and very well maintained. We used the Station as a base to explore the Wilpena area including the Parachilna and Brachina gorges. It's close to the road so no airing down required for your van. There is water accessible on the way in, whilst they say this is bore water and slightly saline I couldn't taste the difference and would happily use this water in my van. We filled our tanks before we arrive from Hawker. The Woolshed restuarant on site provides a limited takeaway menu and the Vader pizza with a serve of wedges was a great night off from cooking. This was one of our top two station stays whilst in the Flinders Ranges and we'll be back to see the region during the wildflower season some time soon I'm sure! A terrible time at Rawnsley Park station camp grounds during Easter We booked 3 nights at Rawnsley Park station campground over Easter. It was the worst camping experience in our 3 week trip around South Australia. There were hundreds of campers. Some parties were forced to camp a couple of metres from the the 4WD tracks with 4WD traffic roaring past their ears constantly. There was little shade and no facilities offered like picnic tables around the campground. There were a total of only 7 shower cubicles for women which resulted in terribly long queues and extremely dirty floors. There was only one camp kitchen with one fridge, one sink and two stove tops to service the hundreds of people. People were getting in each other's way and feeling stressed while preparing their meals. We checked out a day early, happy to forefeit a day's camping fees to find a more serene campground.

The place is beautiful. Remote and a definite sense of being in the outback.

Scenic We are here 3 nights. The hikes are moderately difficult but rewarding. Walking over broken up shale. There are three types of kangaroo here: Red, Grey, and Wallaroos.
The restaurant serves good food. Our accommodations are essentially a house. Full kitchen, stalked to make a full breakfast! Perhaps that’s because we are part of a NatHab Group!
In Australian ‘station’ means big land holding or ranch. They also call road bumps ‘road humps’. And they do in fact say ‘g’day’.

Fabulous stay Loved our stay in one of the Eco villas. Everything you needed was there, including a full fridge to make your own breakfast. Loved the skylight in the bedroom so you could see the stars at night. We did 2 tours, sunset on the Chase and a tour of Flinders Rangers, with Georgie, her knowledge and enthusiasm was wonderful. Did the short flight which gave us another aspect and view of the rangers.
Everything was perfect, staff friendly and made our stay there feel special.

Super! We were there with a rented camper for 2 nights. The access road of several kilometers will leave your camper pretty rattled. But that's it!
Reception was fine. Although the office was closed, a letter with our details and information was waiting for us. A large place, >300m, near amenities. Later in the afternoon, the office annex store reopened. More than friendly employee who asks interestingly what she can do for you. On our 2nd day a trail done through the Flinders Range outback. Fantastic! If we ever go back to this region this campground is definitely one of them

We stayed in our van. One of the amenities block wasn't working. Was very dusty. There were some shade trees which was good.

Had dinner at the restaurant. Was delicious food but small portions.

Would stay somewhere else when we return to Flinders Ranges

Excellent camp ground nestled amongst natural vegetation with the best views overlooking Flinders Rangers. We did two tours and the staff were amazing and were really flexible and great with my son. Georgia our tour guide was outstanding. New titled bathrooms were a nice touch too.

My family and I just stayed here for the fourth time in two years and absolutely loved our stay as always.

Bee at reception was lovely and welcoming and Kate, the General Manager, seemed to be everywhere at the same time to ensure guests were always attended to.

We stayed in one of the Superior Holiday Cabins: spotless, very nicely decorated and with a full kitchen. The views from here are nothing short of amazing. We enjoyed the BBQ area and the pool.

Information on exploring the area is very comprehensive and enabled us to do exciting hikes and beautiful scenic drives.

Thank you to all who made our stay so special, we'll be back for a fifth time and many times after!

My partner and I planned a trip to flinders coming from central Victoria not knowing anything about the area, we booked the bush camp unpowered site and once we arrived we were greeted by the friendly staff who gave us a map which was very easy to follow, they also provided a pamphlet with places to go, tracks to drive and the surrounding towns with pet friendly options. To say that we are absolutely amazed with this place would be a huge understatement.
If you are considering coming to flinders ranges this is the best place 100%
We got takeaway from the Woolshed Restaurant and the food was unbelievable.
We would absolutely recommend this and will be coming back.
Ps. If you are going unpowered go out to the bush camping as it is worth it.

Excellent campsite An absolutely fantastic campsite! Beautiful grounds, a great pool, spotless amenities, and incredibly friendly staff.
The walking and 4WD tours on the private property are a real highlight, and the Woolshed Restaurant is outstanding.
Without a doubt the best campsite we’ve stayed at during our 7-week tour through SA, VIC, and NSW. Highly recommended!

Amazing Excursions We did two tours at Rawnsley Park Station — Sunset on the Chase and Bunyeroo & Brachina Gorges — and both were excellent.

We saw a huge amount of wildlife, including kangaroos, wallabies, and wallaroos, along with a family of emus and several wedge-tailed eagles. Being able to see so much wildlife in its natural setting was a real highlight.

Our guide, Georgia, was great. She was very knowledgeable about the area and shared a lot of context about the landscape, geology, and animals, while keeping the tours relaxed and enjoyable.

The Sunset on the Chase tour was a nice way to end the day. The drinks and canapés at sunset were well done and added a relaxed finish after a full day of exploring.

Overall, both tours were well run and worth doing if you’re visiting the Flinders Ranges

Hi Readers, Spectacular is the first word I uttered when I went to our unpowered site. This station ( facility ) is spread in thousands of acres facing the Flinder ranges. While coming from the Hawker, take the route of Flinder ranges way to enter this property, neatly 25 min of drive from Hawker town centre. Remember, the road of flinders Ranges is the most happening road like lookouts, short or long hiking walk, scenic drives so worth staying here. This property is with powered , unpowered, cabins, bush camping, private accomodations with friendly staff. You will not be disappointed whether you choose bush camping because the alloyed bush camping area with flush toilet facility too; I must say you would definately love unpowered or bush camping area ( $34) in the hilly and rolling mountains of Rawnsley Park station. This station or facility is with communal shower, flush toilets including fuel, general food store ( onsite the office) , car wash, air compressor, dedicated bin arrangements everywhere, swimming pool, drinking water, breakfast -lunch- dinner facility on demand with charges, short and long walking / hiking trails which is within the Rawnsley. Every soot We stayed for 2 nights overlooking view of Flinder ranges, under open starry night sky. A lot of things to do nearby and around the Flinder ranges. You will not be disappointed. If you are short of grocery ( fresh fruit or veg) then you can buy from Wilpena station which is also another park station for travellers. Obviously, grocery prices is higher. We visited the Flinder ranges during summer Break but ideal season is April to September. Hope this information helpful; Thanks.
