Loved this experience I went on a kayak tour with 'Go Sea Kayak' and they were fantastic. It was myself and my 5 yr old daughter, who they looked out for so kindly. We were offered either a kayak to ourselves, or jump on with Bo, one of the guides which we went for. He was super knowledgeable, and very reassuring in the wavey parts. My daughter loved it, and it was so special floating nearby the pod of dolphins and turtle-spotting. We even saw a whale passing on the horizon. Many thanks to Pete, Bo and the team for taking us out, we had a blast!

Beautiful sunset kayaking We had a wonderful kayaking experience on the Brunswick River last weekend. Our guide shared a lot of the Indigenous history with us, which as locals was great to learn because some of it, we had not been aware of before. We were very lucky to have the tour all to ourselves. We would highly recommend this to anyone wanting an authentic, peaceful, local experience. Thank you.

Everywhere you look there was dolphins Booked this in advance. Got super lucky with the sea state and was super calm. Meant for super easy paddling.

Probably should have gotten there 15-30 minutes before the scheduled time as was the last to arrive.

The kit was all good. The guides were great. Good Comms. Good banter. Hearded the group well without being upset.

We had a small 8 kayak ish group. I was with Laurie who had done the trip Friday but not seen much and had a rebook.

A quick brief and we were underway.

Great mix between getting some distance done and resting/watching for sea life.

A few turtle heads spotted early in the distance.

Paddled around the corner to spot multiple small pods of dolphins. This started an hour or excellent encounters some 10ft away some 50ft.

Guides were great at slowly getting close without spooking and the group were all well behaved and didn't chase.

Stopped for a swim on the way back. Lost a few pairs of glasses between the group.

Happy people all round.

Don’t miss this tour!!! Outstanding tour!!! Kayaking out to watch dolphins was an amazing experience. Additionally, Byron Bay was really picturesque location. The guides really made it the complete package with their humor and informative discussion about the dolphins in the bay.

Excellent. Would recommend it to everyone. So peaceful and relaxing. The river tour was beautiful. The water so clear. Lots of wildlife, fish, stingrays etc. our guide Chris was wonderful.

My cousin and I had an amazing experience with this company. Our trip was so much fun, seeing dolphins and a couple turtles! The guides were amazing, knew their stuff and made us feel safe the entire time (despite our need to catch as many waves as possible!). Would definitely reccomend this trip to anyone. It was worth the money, great location, a different experience and the perfect amount of time where it was full of fun, but not too exhausting. Honestly, easier than we had expected! I would consider going again if I am ever back in Byron Bay.

Not to be missed Kayaking Byron Bay An amazing adventure across the waves at main beach Byron Bay! having never done sea kayaking before our 2 guides made us feel relaxed and excited about the trip and had so much information and stories to tell. A bargain for 2 1/2 hours taking in the fabulous views from the ocean across to Mt Warning (Wollumbin) and the coast of Bungalung country, out to Julian rocks and Wategoes Beach what a treat ! We really enjoyed the song with our guides that brings the dolphins and whales to us that the local Arakwal custodians have shared with them., We saw rays skim across the water and a very inquisitive turtle and lots of fish .A small group created a really lovely atmosphere and great for making new friends .Celebrating my 70th birthday with my daughter was just magical and the guides made sure we were safe and supported .
Don't miss out on experiencing Byron from the water I highly recommend this trip! and can't wait to go again during the whaling season.

An awesome experience, one not to miss! This was incredible! Beau our guide and his time were excellent. Great pre session dos and don’ts - safety was key they really did look out for you. Knowledge of wildlife area excellent and we got a double treat, saw the dolphins on way in and out, they came really close. Crowd size perfect. Cost worth it. All in all can not fault the tour and highly recommend it. Thanks guys

We had such a good experience a couple of weeks ago and keep talking about it. The guides were great and didn’t work us too hard. They found us dolphins and turtles quickly, which we were right next to - it was incredible. Our only regret was not taking any photos, which there was lots of opportunity to do, so take your Go Pros/ waterproof phone protectors if you can :)

Brilliant tour!! This wasn’t something I would normally do but my partner wanted to but honestly I’m so glad we did this. Even though we only saw one turtle and two fooling for a few seconds the experience was unmatched. You get to see the pure clearness and beautiful blues of the sea and all the reefs below while getting all the knowledge the guides have. On top of that the guide were brilliant, very friendly, funny and amazing people. We had this boy kayden with us in the tour and he was absolutely amazing for a little one and was so helpful. Would recommend this tour for anyone thinking of doing it.

Excellent Experience The kayaking experience was fantastic. The guides were enthusiastic and very knowledgeable about the area, taking us to the hotspots throughout the bay.

What an experience! Loved the whole 2 hours. It felt more like 30mins.
I thought I wouldn't have the energy for it but I left feeling more energetic than when I arrived!
Saw a dolphin 2x! Once one went under my kayak! Another time one came up a little ways from us. It was amazing. Others saw turtles too. My first time proper experience!
The staff were awesome, and nice!. Gave me a wet suit and kept an eye on me the whole time. The guide made sure I wasn't too hot or needed a dip to cool off.
The instructor was informative and funny!

We had the most amazing time kayaking this morning at 9am. The weather was perfect and the sea was calm! We saw loads of dolphins and kayaked around 4km. We were able to take amazing videos and the staff were beyond lovely! The staff were super informative about sea life and Byron Bay as a whole, they also were friendly and funny. We highly recommend wearing bikinis even if it’s on the colder side as you get very wet going in and out of the sea due to the waves (it took us a little by surprise!). Also if you get sea sick think about taking tablets. Highly recommend as a must do when coming to Byron

Lovely day in Byron Bay Lovely experience kayaking on Byron Bay today, we saw turtles and went swimming. We had a large group of mixed ages and abilities and everyone seemed to enjoy it. I would recommend this experience.

Excellent professional friendly team, knowledgeable and funny too, would come back next time in Byron Bay It was my first time kayaking and I was a big nervous but once I sat on the kayak I felt so confident and relaxed and I really had the best time watching dolphins

The most incredible experience on my trip so far! I went solo and was instantly made to feel part of the group by the amazing guides. Big shout out to Cole my buddy who gave me the “business class” experience telling me all about the bay and wildlife. We saw turtles and dolphins and the whole experience felt truly magical. The guides respected the dolphins and let them come to us rather than chasing them. I recommend this trip to anyone travelling to Byron Bay!

Absolutely amazing I had the most incredible time out on the Kayaks with this company! The guys running it were so incredibly helpful and supportive and kept you informed every step of the way and I felt very safe. I would honestly recommend this to anyone. We managed to see whales, dolphins a turtle and a sting ray!

Amazing experience and fun day. The guides were AMAZING!!!! I hope they are well compensated as they were extremely knowledgeable and entertaining. This was hands down our favourite day in Australia! We saw 2 baby whales with mom merely meters away from our kayaks. We were not seasoned kayakers at all but the guides supported and made the experience fun.

We had the best day yesterday with the team at Go Sea Kayak. Not only did the tour itself go very smoothly, the team were very professional, good fun and friendly. We were also extremely fortunate to see an abundance of whales, we managed to get close up on several occasions as they were curious of us and naturally approached. We also saw a huge loggerhead sea turtle which was a personal highlight. Can’t recommend the tour enough for a truely unforgettable experience. Thank you guys!

Wonderful kayaking tour From start to finish the guides were great, had an amazing time. It was out of my comfort zone a bit, but so glad I did it. Everything was done to put you at ease and get a great experience. Saw so many dolphins.

Incredible day with these guys out on the water! We saw dolphins and whales- right near our kayaks- it was truly amazing! One whale was coming up out of the water with his barnacled mouth visible….then as we headed back to shore we saw about six whales breach one after the other & lots of pectoral finn slapping…bring on the water with them was so much better than in a big whale watching boat. All the crew were great fun, informative & helpful! Highly recommend!!!

On our tour we saw dolphins, whales and a turtle which was incredible! Since we went in winter the company gave us wet suits which was great! Kayaking was so much fun and I made some new friends! This was an amazing kayaking tour. The kayaking was explained very well and we took lots of breaks so it was very easy going. Managed to see dolphins and some whales on the horizon which made it so special. Guides were fantastic, would highly recommend.

Had an amazing time with the group. We saw over 50 dolphins even though we were threatened with rain! Tour guides were very fun, friendly and knowledgeable about the dolphins. Best decision for Byron bay. Many thanks for an amazing trip, boat 3 ;)

Amazing activity to do in Byron Bay! You’re first given a kayaking lesson then head out into the bay. The guides are really helpful and provided interesting commentary about Byron Bay and the animals that inhabit it. We spent about nearly 2 hours on the water. Unfortunately, we did not see any dolphins but we saw a few turtles. Even if we hadn’t seen any wildlife, I would still highly recommend this activity (if this happens, they are kind enough to offer another session for free).

Such a divine experience with the super chilled and informative Bo who made everyone feel so at ease. We were super lucky on the day to have seen so many dolphins including babies. But really it is all in the hands of Mother Nature, which people need to remember. This is the wild, not a zoo after all. But the guides will use their local knowledge to provide the best chance possible and the company allows you to do another tour if you miss out. So always a good idea to book at the start of your trip. I recommend sea sick tablets just to make you more comfortable. Extremely well organised operation and our group had 3 guides to help. So you will be well looked after. Thank you Bo.

One of the highlights of my time in Byron Bay - the team are so friendly, instructive and helpful with all things kayaking and respecting the environment around us.

The day was incredibly fun and met some incredible people on the day - and yes, we did end up "taking a swim" once or twice, haha.

I'd recommend this to anyone tempted by this, especially if you can time it during the whale migration season.

Very cool experience Very cool experience, that the guides make you feel super safe for by teaching you how to get over and back from surf. We saw Dolphins, turtles, lots of fish and birds. Would recommend as a fun morning activity to anyone visiting Byron, especially if your not keen to surf, but still want to get out into the bay and see the wildlife.

The kayak trip was good fun and the guides were excellent. Getting out and back through the breaking waves was exciting and the guides gave great advice and help. The paddling otherwise was fine but there wasn’t a lot for us to see and it didn’t feel as though we paddled very far for the time we had. Sadly, other than a brief glimpse of 2 dolphins we didn’t spot anything of interest which was a shame but just luck of the day. We all enjoyed the afternoon and I would recommend it.

Worthwhile kayak experience We went on a tour this morning with the lovely tour guide dougie! He told us all about Byron bay and really made the experince good. It was stunning views for the sunrise kayak tour and such good conditions. Unfortunately we did not see any wildlife but the experince was still amazing! He did promise us we can come back again another day for free on another kayak trip which is nice!

Beautiful Rver Just a really nice tour into a pristine river. You would never know its so close to Brunswick Heads, recommended for all.

Amazing Paddle … with Whales We took The Sunrise Byron Bay Sea Kayak Tour. Our guides were friendly and welcoming, never in a hurry. They got us outfitted and on the water and then shared local history and stories about the marine life we might see. They are eco-minded and very respectful of the animals.

The weather was beautiful and the seas calm at 06:30. We saw dolphins (including babies) very quickly, and that would have been enough, but then we saw humpback whales. With calves. 10 meters away. It was breathtaking.

Highly recommend paddling with Go Sea Kayak. You may not see whales, but you will have a great time.

Sunrise tour experience Fabulous & highly recommend!

Very professional & well organised.

We saw so many dolphins (some up very close) & a whale migrating (a siting this late in the year was unexpected)

Expect to get wet & make sure you only take a phone if it is in a waterproof cover (they can provide you a waterproof pouch when you arrive for $15 )

Despite our best attempts, my partner & I could not master the shore landing in a sea kayak & many laughs. Felt safe the entire time

Such an amazing tour! We were so so lucky to see Whales 100m from our boat. Pete, Luke and Matt were all awesome guides, and it was great of them to teach us how to be respectful when paddling close to Whales.
The wind was pretty strong so paddling was hard, but it kind of added to the excitement. Was an amazing experience, totally recommend!

What an awesome morning. I was luckily enough to share a boat with the awesome Instructor Marty who did a fantastic job of educating me on the wildlife and surrounding area, whilst no doubt doing a lot more paddling than me. We saw plenty of dolphins and whales all very close up. The rest of the group and instructors were also great. Lots of fun. Worth getting up for the sunrise tour.

Highly recommend Probably my favorite kayaking experience ever. We saw a lot of dolphins up close—they put on a real show for us. It was also fun to be in the open ocean and go through the waves. I went alone but made plenty of friends.

A must do in Byron Bay! Great tour and great guides The most amazing kayak trip. Our original kayak tour was cancelled due to very high waves so a new tour way arranged for the next day at sunrise and it was the best start to all of our days. We saw loads of dolphins! The guides were great, especially Luke who was the main guide and gave lots of information on the wildlife and Byron Bay in general. He also had a great sense of humour and made the trip a really enjoyable one!

Sunny, fun day, dolphins!! The trip was great, we were so lucky to have ideal weather! We saw mum and baby dolphins, a sea turtle and other fish! Being out on the water was amazing and we had the guides with us at all times, showing us where to go and to help if needed. Also had photographs taken if wanted. We were allowed to get out for a swim which was nice, we seen lots of nice areas and it was well worth the trip, would definitely recommend! Thanks again!

A wild ride out into the bay The surf seemed quite high to us and it was quite a challenge to paddle out through it but the guides were great at helping us and instilling us with confidence. They were very knowledgeable about the bay and its wildlife. Only saw one dolphin ???? and a glimpse of a turtle but they marked it as a no show day anyway and so we have the offer of a free additional trip. Very fair.

10/10 would recomm - beautiful and serene experience Initially chose the sea kayak but ended up doing the river kayak due to the swell on the day, and I am soo glad I ended up doing that!
The booking and switching process was incredible easy, and the river kayak itself was the most peaceful and serene experience.
Our guide was great (Beau?) allowing us to amble down the river taking our time and spotting the wildlife, and the scenery was something out of this world.
I would wholeheartedly recommended this tour for anyone thinking bout it :)

Absolutely amazing trip! Chris and his team of guided a were absolutely fab, so helpful, funny, and very knowledgable and experienced. Made us feel very safe and made the whole trip smooth. We saw so many dolphins! Literally surrounded by a pod of about 100. It was down to Chris’s knowledgable guiding and advice from all the guides that we were able to safely see the dolphins in their natural habitat. 10/10!!!

We went kayaking early this morning, and we had such a great time. We got to see quite a few dolphins catching waves! Even though we knew there was a chance we might not see dolphins, it was still such a fun tour that we would highly recommend.

We had our first sea kayaking adventure as a family in Byron last week. Easy to say it was amazing! Doug was great with my 5year old daughter who had the best time! I was slightly nervous but the team made me feel comfortable and were very good with all of my kids. They were so knowledgeable and really try to get you to just enjoy and take in the beautiful bay! We would definitely go again and would recommend them to anyone who is looking to try kayaking in Byron Bay.

A great experience even though it was a tad cloudy. We saw a pod of dolphins and a turtle and the guides were great at talking about the wildlife in the area and answering questions.
