Hills, Hahndorf and Barossa Sight-seeing Tour with Gourmet Lunch
Duration:
Operated By:
We begin the day with a pick-up from selected Adelaide hotels between 8:30 and
9:00 am. Our first stop is Mount Lofty Lookout, offering panoramic views over
the Adelaide CBD, and on clear days, you might
even spot Kangaroo Island. We pass the incredibly beautiful Mount Lofty House,
which overlooks the picturesque Piccadilly Valley, and a view that sets the
tone for the scenic day ahead.
Travelling through the charming villages of Stirling, Bridgewater, and Hahndorf, our
destination is family owned Beerenberg farm for a morning tea of freshly baked scones
with jam and cream.
Time for a stroll through Hahndorf to explore this historic German village. With its unique shops,
galleries, and rich history, you’ll have some free time to discover what makes
this town so special. From here, we head through the northern Adelaide Hills as
we begin our descent into the beautiful Barossa Valley.
Our first stop in the valley is the famous Jacob’s Creek; perhaps one of the
World’s most renowned brands. Here, we’ll enjoy a seated, multi-dish lunch
featuring the delectable tastes of the award- winning Harvest Kitchen. After
lunch, feel free to relax, explore the estate, or opt for an optional Jacobs
Creek wine tasting ($10PP)
We make our way through the beautiful Barossa as we head to our final feature of the
day, the very majestic and historic Seppeltsfield Winery. Wonder at the famous boulevard lined with
century-old date palms and catch a glimpse of the Seppelt Family Mausoleum.
Your guide will share with you the story of the Seppelt family, and their legacy
which still today influences the region and the stunning landscape.
At Seppeltsfield, we invite you to enjoy an informative tour of the historic
property, followed by a tasting of their exquisite wines. Fans of fortified
wines can also opt to sample the historic Seppeltsfield Para Tawny range (extra
cost).
As the day winds down, we board the bus for our ride back to the Adelaide. Whether
you’re reflecting on the day’s highlights, having a relaxing snooze, or
chatting with new friends, it’s the perfect moment to relax before drop-off at selected hotels.

Lovedthe first 2 wineries.
Sorry to say I don't rate the third.
Each of the wineries visited provided generous samples, and the included lunch was delicious.
The only downside was that the third winery only offered one white wine, which was disappointing for me, as my preference is white wine.
We had 1st class experience, thank you for a wonderful day in the Barossa Valley
The wineries and food experiences were perfectly selected, and everything ran smoothly from start to finish. Peter went above and beyond to make sure everyone was comfortable and having a great time, which truly made the tour special.
Highly recommend Taste of Barossa Tour!!!
It ended up being the most chilled tour I’ve done in a long time. Jordan was fantastic. All wineries we visited are great! Super knowledgeable staff without being boring, genuinely engaging, and knew how to keep things light and fun while still being informative and educational. You learn a lot without feeling like you’re in a lecture.
If you want a seamless, easy, and genuinely enjoyable Barossa experience, this is it. Highly recommended.
10/10 recommend.
Thankyou Vin for being the best driver on our taste of the Barossa xx
Presenters at wineries were knowledgeable made it interesting and were likeable with no hard sell.
Size of group was good. And because smaller group easier to interact with others.
A great thing Russell did was to ask people where they were from as they got on the bus. A fantastic icebreaker.
Lovely country to drive through. Was a lovely tour. Highly recommended
Be bloody good part of the experience if a viticulturist could be part of the tasting to answer a couple of viticulturist questions .. found out wine isn’t wine without a fair bit of ground work.
Great tour .
The trip, tour guide, and wineries:
We had Baden as our tour guide and driver. His knowledge of the wine and its wineries are immensely amazing. He took us to boutique and family run wineries and told stories of when and how the wineries started, gave us a bit of knowledge on their histories and their products which are different from mainstream wineries. And those made them unique.
The lunch:
We had lunch in one of the wineries. It was great. We had cheese platters which were locally produced.
Overall:
It was an excellent day trip. We enjoyed it very much. I am not much of a wine drinker but I still enjoyed it very much. My son who is not allowed to taste the wine legally still enjoyed the trip and the scenery. My husband might have different story as he enjoyed the wine tasting. :-)
Baden, our guide and driver, was very informative not just about the tour but also South Australia.
Well worth the trip.
The lunch was also based at this location and I think it is a stretch to call some cheese, ham, pate and bread as “gourmet”, slightly over sells it!
The last vineyard, Kies, was much, much better. The big observation is that at Rosenvale it was the owner who completed the presentation and his passion was infectious and that probably only comes from having such a vested interest in the business.
However, overall the day was great and Brian was so knowledgeable whilst keeping us all amused.
We visited three wineries and had a lovely lunch. I was particularly impressed with the Rosenvale and Kies family wineries and plan to buy cases from both, despite the massive shipping costs from AUS to USA.
Kies family wines is fantastic !
Lunch and wines at the turkey winery were good.
Rosenvale wines was a waste of time and very boring (spoken at for 30mins straight!)
Great day, just wished they’d picked their wineries a little better for a group, will be back to the Barossa but will handpick wineries next time.
I would recommend this tour to anyone.
Baden is an awesome tour guide / bus driver 😉
3 wineries visited that were a little main stream, the last was best, family run and informative.
Lunch was sufficient, not outstanding, as no choice of cheese.
I forgot my cap on the bus. When I called the next day to check, they were more than happy to ship it to Brisbane for me.
5 star service ⭐️
Edit: Got my hat back!! And they sent a stubbie holder as a little gift along with my hat.. ❤️

Five stars for the service!
Russell delivered great commentary, is funny and entertaining. What an Ambassador for your biz and the Barossa region.
T H A N K Y O U !!
Only thing missing from this tour was a stop at the chocolate factory 😉.
