Your review is also very confusing and dissapointing for several reasons  - The first is if you were unhappy, you did not speak up and say on the day which we would have happily tried to resolve rather than affect our small family business by leaving a miss informed review.  We have been messaged by other passengers on this same tour who loved it and asked us to send them photos taken on the day which we have gladly done, and another on your very same tour left a 5 star review.  We are watching Whales in the wild so every interaction is different. Our Captain on this tour has been whale watching the longest in the region so he knows how to not only find whales but to read their behaviour and understand and respect them if they do not want to interact..  Yes there may have been a group of whales in the distance but as you have already complained about the distance you had travelled - this  comment is very confusing you now wanted to travel further  to a group in the distance??  What you did not know is all 3 staff onboard where watching the several pods in the distance and watching their breath holds (how long until they surfaced - and the pod the captain was on was the shortest which ensured all onboard got the most viewing time of whales) The tour on this day ran over 2 hours as our Captain spent longer time out with the whales to ensure all onboard got sighting and memories of the whales - there was NO rushing (never with this captain) - and the boat tracker has been checked and confirms this. Whales at the Jetty playing and Jumping - if you witnessed this - you were the only one onboard to do so, and for this time of the year that would of been extremely unusual - and as mentioned above -  all crew - even when our passengers are watching whales they have eyes looking 360 degrees and if it was something that the captain should of been alerted to head towards they would of informed him Your comments about no ocean specialists onboard (firstly we did ) - did you not listen to the commentary on board throughout your tour explaining the behaviour, or more importantly which is very concering your comment about " no info about whale migration" which tells me YOU did not listen to  the safety brief given prior to every tour which includes a detailed information about the whales and  their migration - I would strongly recommend in future when you are participating in a tour the safety brief is something you should pay attention to. Everyone was not looking Sad and Disappointed as mentioned above that was not the case .. BUT the most confusing of all of your review - you allude throughout that whales were only seen from a distance, but at the end your review stated they swam nearby. We are also left totally confused and dissapointed.

Thankyou for taking the time to provide feedback, yes it is getting towards the end of the season - but they are wild animals that we are interacting with in their habitate so while we get as close as we can officaly, the balance of the interaction is up to the whales and on this day we respected that the young mum and her beatiful baby decided to keep a little distance, but we stayed within the limits we are allowed to interact with them, being respectful to them.
