- Departure Point: Find us directly next to the Transperth Ferry or in front of the Oyster Bar at Elizabeth Quay, Perth City.
- Arrival: Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time.
- Safety & Families: Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Life jackets are available.

This is a must do in Perth. Me and my friend enjoyed the river views, sometimes if you’re lucky enough you can catch dolphins hanging around. The tour guide was very friendly and funny, the music is also on point. Great value and good fun.

Best experience ever 5 stars. I cannot fault this. The visit was fantastic, the captain was knowledgeable and funny and for the atmosphere it was just right. It was perfect to capture the Swan River and seeing the dolphins was the highlight of the trip. I personally went in the afternoon, and for me, that is the perfect way to traverse the Swan River. You get the cooling breeze and on a sunny day, it is just perfect. 5 stars.

A fun informative experience We had a fantastic time, had lots of laughs along the way. I went with a couple of friends . i am mobility-challenged, but the team were incredibly patient and helpful with getting on and off the boat. A sighting of a pod of dolphins which followed us for about 5-10 minutes absolutely topped a great experience. We spotted the boat coming back into dock at Elizabeth Quay. Looked a great way to see Perth City from the Swan River looking back into the city. Before we knew it we were on board. The Skipper (Dave) who was our very friendly, funny and entertaining host made this tour a great way to take in the sights. Dave periodically stopped the boat at certain areas, telling us about the local history and also is a great bloke and very accomodating to all the tourists making sure you are laughing and smiling from start to finish. Highly recommend this as a way to experience the sights of Perth shorelines from the Swan River. The boat had very comfortable seating, seatbelts and there was never a dull moment as we cruised at various speeds around the river. We felt 100% safe and secure whilst aboard with Dave as our Skipper. Thanks Dave for a great experience!!

Don’t hesitate just book it. Amazing experience! Seeing the dolphins so close was unforgettable. It is something you really have to do when you are here, and it has been our favourite activity in the city. Everything was well organised and we had a great time. I definitely recommend it!

We had a fantastic afternoon Tuesday 24th March 2026. We hadn't planned to do the trip, however a lovely lady sold it to us.
We took the 13:00 long cruise which around 1 hr 30. The crew were very friendly and informative. They showed us the difference birds and different points of interest as well as the jellyfish. Plenty of photo opportunities and the fast rides and turns were exhilarating.
Well recommend, if we were in Perth longer we would have taken the cruise again.

Booked this 90 minute ride because of previous reviews and it did not disappoint! The staff were welcoming and friendly. Amy was extending her boatmanship skills and Danny was incredibly knowledgeable about the river and its lesser known attributes.
The boat was beautiful whether slow cruising or speeding through the water. The wild life we saw was fantastic as were the cliff jumpers. All in all we had a fantastic trip. Thank you so much. It will be a lasting memory of our time in Perth.

Highlights of Swan River in 90 minutes! If strapped for time, this tour is an efficient way to see the sights and experience the river’s wildlifeA fast yet comfortable speed boat, limited to a max of 14 passengers. Sailing out of the quay we passed Kings Park and then encountered a pod of friendly dolphin who followed the boat. Great opportunity to photo/video. Then into pelican Point ( the clue is in the name) then onto Millionaires row ( again the clue is in the name). Lots of opportunity to see wild life at slow speed ( including giving water to black swans to drink) followed by bursts of fast motoring to get far down the river. Complementary cold water available.
Guide/pilot ( ours was an Irish character called Danny) was excellent. Checked all ok with guests, a safe ( but fast) driver and informative.
Not cheap but a superior boat tour!

The tour was fantastic from start to finish and a great way to see a lot of the river features of Perth. Unfortunately we didn’t get to see the famous Dolphins, maybe next time.

After a pleasant conversation, we decided to take a boat tour and it turned out to be a great experience. The tour lasts about 45 minutes and takes you past beautiful spots along the river, offering lovely views in a relaxed atmosphere. The boat was very clean, well maintained, and comfortable. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful, taking the time to explain things and making us feel very welcome. We truly enjoyed the tour and would highly recommend this experience to anyone wanting to explore the area from the water.

I was in the city taking pictures for an art project and I ended up in Elizabeth Quay. The person running the place approached and asked if I wanted to go on the tour. I was a bit hesitant but I talked to the guy for a bit and I decided why not.
It was the 45 minute tour and it was so much fun! We went up and down the Swan River and the captain was playing some really good music as we were moving. He pointed out some noteworthy spots and gave some info on each which was lovely. It was also really chill and a very casual setting which I really enjoyed.
We didn't see any dolphins but we did see some jellyfish!! And a pelican at Pelican Point which was perfect. The captain brought his dog who was an absolutely photogenic sweetheart and I love the little guy.
The tour was really well paced, it never felt like too much and at no point was it boring. It was 45 minutes but it felt like 5.
Overall, the tour was so much fun and I only wish it was longer. I had an absolutely amazing time. 10/10 would recommend!!

Had a lot of fun on this tour! Plenty of interesting educational content and beautiful views, and I particularly enjoyed the driving and humour supplied by the captain Dave. I fortunately joined as the 90 min tour was beginning - the time flew by so I don’t think the 45 min tour would have been enough!

The lovely lady who helped us with our tickets made everything so easy - her customer service skills are rare these days. She was accommodating, friendly, and informative from the moment we arrived.
Our captain, Dave, was beyond incredible. I honestly don’t have enough words to describe how brilliant he was. He made me feel completely at ease having my 6-year-old on board and went above and beyond to make sure my boy felt safe and was having fun the entire time.
Dave’s knowledge of the area was amazing - he stopped at key spots to tell us about the history and made sure we got a great view of everything, including the dolphins! His passion and energy made the whole cruise engaging, educational, and full of smiles.

Dolphins and Osprey! It was a lousy day weather-wise, so there were only 4 clients on the boat. We had a personal service making it an interesting and entertaining trip. It was a treat to enjoy dolphins playing in the wake within minutes of leaving the jetty, and later finding an osprey sitting on its nest on the edge of the water. Good decision to wear full wets though!!

We had a wonderful time on our Wild West cruise. It was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had in Australia. Dave and Bella were wonderful and made it so much fun.
I had the incredible experience of giving a black swan water to drink directly from my hand. When I saw the beautiful dolphins chasing the waves behind the boat 🛥️ diving in and out of the water, I felt emotional. It was something I will never ever forget. What an amazing trip on the Swan River I was only in Perth for a couple of days. 'Wild West' charters was the best for enjoyment, fun and Dave's local knowledge was matched with his professionalism. It was definitely the best way to see this beautiful ocean city. I took the 90min trip, well worth it.

Fabulous time on the river. The cruise on the Swan River was excellent. This was mainly due to the outstanding crew of Bella and Tyler. Fabulous morning out on the water with Wild West Charters A brilliant trip, safe and fun. We were lucky to get whales to view and crayfish as a catch, in the beautiful pristine waters off WA's near shore coast. Dave and the team are excellent. I'll be back!read moreread less

Highly recommend either solo, with kids or a friend. Beautiful day on the river, we saw Osprey and Dolphins and Bella and Dave were total legends. If you live in Perth or if you are visiting… there is so much to see! You’ll love it. REALLY fun day

I booked over the phone, which was easygoing and friendly. The 90 minutes tour over the Swan river was fantastic, and a highlight of our visit, my friend and I had the front seats and it was a beautiful day. We were lucky, seeing dolphins jumping, a black swan family with 6 ducklings and an osprey up high in a tree where we had a glimpse on the multi$$$ riverside homes. Small group boat, great shipper and mates, and informative where applicable. Thank you Wild West crew 🌊 🐬🐬🐬🦢🦢🦢🇦🇺

Had a wonderful experience with Wild West Charters.
Dave was very accomodating and easy to contact during the booking process.
I booked through the website.
Had initially scheduled the earlier but due to bad weather Dave contacted me beforehand and gave me options to reschedule or refund entirely.
We set off 9am on the Sunday as soon as the weather cleared up.
The meeting place was easy to find: right in front of Kailis Seafood Restaurant.
Initially booked for a whale watching course, had the opportunity to see sealions and lobster fishing in action as a bonus.
We managed to see two whales on this occasion.
Other whale watching boaties that I saw from afar during the outing seemed to be packed full of people on the deck reaching out their arms above the crowd trying to snap a shot.
For comparison, Wild west charters our boat had a total of 10 people and it was quite easy to move around the deck, upper amd lower to find the right camera shot. Perhaps this is an area where wild west charters has a leg up above the other services.
The boat has an upper deck for you to head up and feel like a vip.
I recommend bringing a waterproof jacket just in case (Depending on wind and wave conditions, you may get some splashes).
All in all had a good time!

Undoubtably the best tour of the Swan River Despite the unseasonably cool weather, Captain Dave was a master tour guide and provided a comprehensive and entertaining review of the highlights and history of Perth, down the Swan nearly to Fremantle and back. We saw bridges, mansions, cliffs, dolphins, an osprey dining on a freshly caught fish, and the oddly famous Crawley Edge Boatshed (the Blue Boat House), and the jet boat moved deftly among moored sailboats, wildlife, and the shore.Definitely a highlight of our visit to Perth; greatly recommended.

Captain Davie was so hospitable and welcoming to our group. Lots of knowledge to share and showed us a great time out on the water. Highly recommended. The complimentary jackets and beanies were needed 🥶🥶 !!!

The 90 minutes tour went so fast!
The tour alternates between fast segments at full speed for sensations and parts at low speed to enjoy the view and local faune. Guidance in English only but with lots of humour.
We were able to book online as the office can be close but everything was very smooth.
They provides windbreakers and caps if needed.

Wonderful cruise Highly recommend! Did the 90 minute cruise today. Saw some beautiful sites and black swans swam up to the boat. My highlight was dolphins swimming beside the boat and jumping through the wake. Our captain Dave was funny and informative.read moreread less

Fabulous experience!!! My wife and I were on our 30 year anniversary trip and we decided to do the 90 min tour and we were glad we did, as aside from the landmark places and information Dave gave to us, the highlight was the dolphins porpoising on the wake of his boat. We would highly recommend this tour!Dolphins rule!????????
