Operated By:

The boat license practical session is designed for those people who have studied the boating safety handbook and are ready to sit the knowledge test but do not have access  a Boat to complete the practical tasks. Not practical log book is required when completing the practical through us.

Most of our clients decide to do the theory session with us even if they have studied the handbook as well because it is not much more expensive and they have the benefit of everything  being fresh in their mind on the day. It enables them to do a complete Boat license in one day instead of spreading it across multiple days doing the practical session with us and the knowledge test with service New South Wales.

If you do decide this is the method for you then the day is a fun practical day that starts at 9 am. We cover all of the required tasks and at the end of the training we issue you with a completed application form that has the practical section filled in.

You will then need to do the theory exam at a service NSW branch and after you have passed the test you can give them your application form that has the confirmation that you have done your practical.

We will meet at St George Motor Boat Club.

2 Wellington Street, Sans Souci NSW 2219

Below are general directions for getting to **St George Motor Boat Club** by car and by public transport. As always, check current traffic conditions or public transport schedules before you travel.

## 1. By Car

1. **From Sydney CBD**
   – Head south via the **Princes Highway (A1)** or **M1**.
   – After crossing the **Captain Cook Bridge**, continue on **Taren Point Road** until it becomes **Rocky Point Road**.
   – Stay on **Rocky Point Road** and look for signs for **Sans Souci**.
   – Turn left onto **Wellington Street** (near Sans Souci) and continue toward the water.
   – The club is located at **2 Wellington Street**.

2. **Parking**
   – There is parking available on-site at the club for members and visitors.
   – If the main car park is full, you may find street parking in the surrounding area.

## 2. By Public Transport

### A. Train + Bus

1. **Train to Kogarah, Rockdale, or Hurstville Station (T4 Line)**
   – From the CBD (e.g., Central, Town Hall, or Wynyard), take the **T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line** toward Kogarah, Rockdale, or Hurstville.
   – Check the Transport for NSW timetable or an app for exact departure times.

2. **Bus Connections**
   – From **Kogarah Station**: Look for a bus heading toward Sans Souci or Dolls Point (for instance, route **958**).
   – From **Rockdale Station**: You can also take a bus (such as routes **476** or **477**) that heads down Rocky Point Road toward Sans Souci.
   – Alight at a stop near Wellington Street or the Sans Souci shops, then walk a few minutes east toward the waterfront and the club.

3. **Check Schedules**
   – Bus timetables can vary, so it’s a good idea to use the **Transport for NSW Trip Planner** or a real-time transit app to map out your exact connection times.

### B. Taxi / Rideshare
– If you prefer a quicker route from the station, grab a taxi or use a rideshare service (e.g., Uber or Didi).
– Request your drop-off at **2 Wellington Street**, Sans Souci.

### Tips
– **Peak Times**: The area can get busy on weekends, especially around lunchtime and dinner, so allow extra time for parking and potential traffic.
– **Navigation**: Using a GPS app (Google Maps, Waze, etc.) is helpful for real-time directions and traffic updates.
