Absolutely stunning I went on the day tour and also opted to scuba dive, and I was not disappointed. From check in, all the way to the return to port at the end of the day, it was just such a great experience. The crew are incredibly friendly, helpful and knowledgeable of the southern portion of the Great Barrier Reef. I can highly recommend giving this trip a go.

Whales everywhere What a magnificent venture, great ship and crew and did not expect to see as many whales me dolphins as we did, mums and calf’s males breaching a s even a slightly older calf performing as well. Definitely worth doing.

Beautiful day and terrific staff Wow what a beautiful experience we loved our day out. Would totally recommend the VIP section of the boat. We saw whales and turtles and so many different kinds of fish the staff were terrific and very informative, they knew their stuff. Would definitely go again in a heartbeat..

Excellent Customer Service We had such an amazing day with Lady Musgrave. From the initial questions I had on the phone with administration, to the cabin staff on board (particularly Sydney & Hunter) this company were great operators. They were so helpful with my children 1 who got sea sick and 1 with mobility issues. Nothing was too much trouble and the entire staff interaction was personal, enthusiastic and terrific!

The boat was clean and well looked after, as was the pontoon and amenities. While we have done better glass bottom boat tours before, the commentary and interaction from Hunter was great.

As for the snorkelling, the visibility on our visit was far superior to other tours we had done from further up on the reef. The equipment provided was well kept and very organised and easy to borrow. It was also very easy access from the pontoon to the water for myself and 2 children.

We snorkelled alongside turtles, enormous coral gardens and a beautiful array of fish species. It felt safe with children given the provision of pool noodles and life jackets and having staff in the water checking in on people too. Today, Sydney spent quite a bit of time assisting my daughter when she was out snorkelling. This wasn’t expected, but was truly appreciated!!!

Well done Lady Musgrave Experience, on employing the right employees and training them well. Customer service made this experience better than other tours we had been on.

Beautiful, informative, a must do experience. A well organised day from start to finish. The island is beautiful and the wildlife even more so. We were shown around by engaging and informative guides who were passionate and the island and reef. A highlight for both me and my teenage son was snorkelling with turtles!

Was an exciting and wonderful experience, will definitely go again and seriously can't fault The Lady Musgrove experience one bit. The boat itself was extremely comfortable, the facilities were very clean and there was plenty of seating in and around the outside, the handrails invaluable 🙂
The crew were AAA+ they honestly enhanced the experience so much, pointing out whale positions in relation to the boat so we could all view and capature the whales. The whole crew on our particular day helped us to relax and not worry about a single thing. Made sure we we're comfortable and well fed at lunch time, yummy wraps.

Had a fabulous experience on the second cruise of the whale season. Weather was perfect and the cruise continued out to a well known feeding canyon where we were entertained by 4 whales, of varying sizes, for 2 hours. It was a brilliant experience. Staff were kind and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend.

Amazing family day out with lots of turtles What an awesome day out for our family. The crew were amazing. Hunter did a fab job teaching us about turtles on our glass bottom boat tour. The guides on Lady Musgrave Island shared a wealth of information about the flora and fauna on the island. Then the snorkelling - highlight of the day. We swam with 4 turtles. It was sensational. Lily was in the water with us and was so great with the kids. After the trip Eamon taught us more about life on and around the island. We loved our day. Thanks to all the crew.

Amazing experience I will remember for a long time. We had a fantastic day out to Lady Musgrave Island last week. The boat was clean and the seats were comfy. The staff were sensational! They were knowledgeable, incredibly friendly and took the safety of passengers very seriously. It was a bumpy ride and they were helping any passengers who weren't coping so well.

On the day we went, there was probably 80-90 people. We were split into groups so the activities could be coordinated and not too crowded. Worked really well.

The pontoon was great. There was plenty of places to sit and take in the views if you weren't snorkelling. The lunch was great and the snorkelling equipment & wetsuits were in excellent condition.

The snorkelling area was really well protected even though it was quite windy that day. We saw so many different reef fish and turtles. It was awesome.

Whilst there are no age restrictions, I wouldn't recommend taking young children. There isn't a lot to do once they are done snorkelling and it is a long day in and out.

Had a great time on the Lady Musgrave Experience trip! Staff were super friendly and knowledgeable of the reef and all the wildlife. Carbon-neutral pontoon was comfortable and well-situated. Snorkelling and scuba diving experiences were a highlight but the island tour and glass bottom boat are great too!! Highly recommend this trip for anyone travelling up this way and wanting an action packed and informative day trip onto the GBR.

Wonderful day on Lady Musgrave Except for the trip out which was very rough my boyfriend and I had a wonderful day. All of the crew were friendly and helpful especially Jack who took us on the glass bottom boat and Lily who did our island tour. I would suggest that these 2 experiences could be a little longer as they were the highlights for us as we were not interested in doing the snorkeling.

Perfect day trip to Lady Musgrave Island We did the LME for my 71st birthday, and the entire day was simply amazing. The trip out was a bit of a roller-coaster thanks to the swell, but that didn't spoil it at all. The island itself was interesting, and the guide was very knowledgeable. Snorkelling in the crystal clear water of the Lagoon was great. So many fish.
We thoroughly recommend this trip experience.

Epic experience Phenomenal experience. Two adults and two children (6 & 8). The team were exceptionally knowledgeable and their customer service was second to none.

Nothing prepares you for the turquoise waters and snoring experience - we saw turtles, star fish and many others.

While there were warnings, sea sickness is a thing. We were ok but over half the boat were unwell, especially on the sail to the island. It’s a quick transition to the first activity when you land at the pontoon and after two hours of sea sickness, it can be a little overwhelming.

That said, it was seriously one of the best days of my life and a must do for any family.

Had an absolute banger time with LME. Pro tip that I didn’t realize - if you want to fly a drone around the island, it sounds like you can but you need to notify the team about two weeks in advance so they can submit clearance to the proper authorities…I didn’t know that so I wasn’t able to fly my drone sadly because it was so beautiful out.

But regarding the trip, the ride out to the island was rather bumpy and quite a few people had to take motion sickness tablets and sit outside. But the crew was awesome and helped the best they could when people weren’t feeling well. The boat itself is very spacious and has very comfortable inside seats, some light snacks, and a coffee bar for purchase along with souvenirs. They also play various nature/ocean videos on the TVs which is a nice way to pass the time.

Once out there, the whole experience was very well organized and I felt like we had plenty of time to snorkel, relax, and do the island tour and glass bottom boat. Tons of turtles when we went in early April and a small manta ray even swam by once. The pontoon is also very spacious and lunch wasn’t actually pretty good in my opinion, even if it was simple. They had make-your-own Mediterranean wraps/sandwiches, and on the pontoon boat coffee and tea were complimentary.

So overall, we had an amazing time. The island and surrounding reef are very beautiful and teeming with life. You get this feeling that you never know what will show up - a turtle, a ray, a shark…could be a surprise! And the cost for all of this was a great deal in my opinion!

Fantastic family memories Once in a lifetime experience. This was the highlight of our 10 day trip to Queensland. Very attentive staff, knowledgeable about marine life and the reef, fantastic snorkeling - swimming with turtles and seeing all types of colourful fish amongst the reef.

Fantastic Time We had an incredible time. We liked the snorkeling the best. We saw a manta ray, a turtle, lots of beautiful fish and various types of coral. We enjoyed the glass bottom boat, the island tour & the under water observatory. The staff were friendly & very knowledgeable.

Must do experience - Lady Musgrave HQ Experience We went to Lady Musgrave HQ where we slept on the reef on the floating pontoon. We slept on the upper deck of the pontoon in a glamping bed where we went to sleep looking at the starlit sky and woke up to watch an amazing sunrise. The snorkelling was amazing with beautiful clear waters and plenty of marine life to be seen including turtles. Also, we went on the glass bottom boat and explored Lady Musgrave Island which is small but has abundant bird life. The food was of a very high standard. Brett and his crew were all friendly, very knowledgable and helpful. The service provided throughout our trip was outstanding. This is an amazing experience and would highly recommend.

The staff treated us so well, and kept us comfortable (even with unusually rough seas for our journey to the reef). The equipment is fantastic, modern & comfy.

The snorkelling was awesome with great equipment for us to use. They made sure we were safe every single step. We easily saw turtles, sea snakes, many fish (large & small) and the southern Great Barrier Reef coral. Wow. Now I want to do their scuba experience as well.

The glass bottom was fantastic as was the island tour. Staff were knowledgeable a kept us comfortable every moment.

A superb 70th birthday.
Before heading out to Lady Musgrave our group of 13 thought the highlight was going to be snorkelling with turtles, Nemo the clownish, manta rays and oodles of other tropical fish in a stunning location. What we did not envisage was the exemplary service, sublime chef-prepared meals and commradery created through sharing this experience with others.
A three-course meal of beef rainbow summer rolls, confit duck with smashed pototoes and veges, and berry pannacotta topped with freshly baked brownies all served with a smile topped off a terrific first day.
The glamping beds on Lady Musgrave HQ are surprisingly comfy, and our every whim was catered to where possible.
Waking in the morning to a view of the lagoon with the island in the distance was an incredible way to kickstart our second day.
None of this would have been possible without the Lady Musgrave Experience team. A huge thank you to Emma, Mats, Xante, Jack, Callam, Benji, Alessia, Matt the skipper, Chef Eamenn, and, in the galley, Savanna, Suz, and Makayla. They made this a lifetime memory bar none.

Wonderful trip, amazing adventure Absolutely amazing experience.. staff were all amazing, chatty, helpful and very efficient. The tour was well organised and split the tour goers into smaller groups so everybody could hear the guides and get the full experience. Lunch was provided and gave something for everyone. Only downside was the trip to and from the island .. the company go to great lengths to explain about sea sickness but it’s on another level if the sea is choppy (and it was). Staff were brilliant handing out/collecting sick bags and helping people into the open air.. despite this one of the best trips I’ve ever been on (hence 5 stars)

An incredible experience. We were really lucky with the weather which made the day even more special. All the staff members were super welcoming, friendly, approachable and knowledgeable. Everything was organised really well, the lunch was great and both morning/afternoon tea was well timed. If there was anything to add it would be some information posters/pictures of the Marine and wildlife you may encounter around the boat, pontoon and glass viewing area (unless I missed it). Will recommend this experience over and over again

Best tour ever We had a fantastic time on this tour. Staff were super professional and fun. The operation was super smooth and we enjoyed every aspect of the tour.

Excellent tour, great snorkeling, lots of turtles. Excellent tour and a great experience. We thoroughly enjoyed the day tour on the boat from Bundaberg. It takes about 2 hours each way on the boat so definitely take travel sickness tablets beforehand. The walk around the island was interesting. The snorkeling was very good and we saw multiple turtles. The boat docks with a moored pontoon so there is time for multiple swims.

The only suggestion we’d make is that the guides made zero reference at any point to the indigenous heritage of the island. This is very strange as the same company runs a dedicated tour in collaboration with a local indigenous group. It’s really important to acknowledge that not everything began with Captain Cook.

Good - a couple of pointers from experience Definitely worth the day trip. If I were to do a second time I would NOT do the glass bottom boat "bit" and double my snorkeling time. Reminder by law in that area one must have on either flippers or a life jacket. Lifejackets can be scratchy - maybe wear a T-Shirt underneath. Flippers can be hit or miss in fitting well - take the time to find the right size. The staff and knowledgeable and efficient. The island tour well worth hearing about the wildlife and walking the tour. Food was average - nothing special other than a lot of peel and eat smalling prawns - but one tends to go for the location more than the meal I find. Seas can be choppy on the way over - plan accordingly! Toilets on boat can get a bit messy as inevitably someone tends to get ill of water is choppy. Try as much as possible to go on a clear day. On an overcast day the experience is a 60% of what it can be. Check for multiple use discounts if you do multiple visits or one of their other tours.

Amazing the birds and fish were not afraid of people. My favourite part was snorkling with a school of purple iridescent fish. My suggestions are: Have afternoon tea on pontoon prior leaving as it became very choppy on way back. Also have a wall showing different fish and coral with names on the pontoon so you can identify what you saw snorkling.

Amazing day at Lady Musgrave island . We went on the trip to Lady Musgrave island yesterday . The staff ! Every single one of them were exceptional ! Very knowledgeable and friendly they could not do enough for you . On the boat out we had a really good light breakfast . On arrival at the pontoon we had an amazing experience snorkelling on the reef again the staff were knowledgeable and helpful . We then had a trip to the island and glass bottom boat tour which again was fantastic . Lunch was exceptional ! Also on the way back there was an afternoon tea served ! Exceptional value for money. !!

Absolutely a bucket list to do adventure Wonderful day out on the ocean absolutely amazing reef life, the island tour is full of birds if your a keen bird person the lunch provided onboard is substantial and fresh take sea sick tablets if you get sea sick the trip out on there is lengthy but enjoyable if you have sea legs and get nice weather

The Great Barrier Reef is such a special place. We visited with our two kids (7 and 10) and the Lady Musgrave Experience gave us a very nice chance to experience the reef in multiple ways.

The catamaran transport was about two hours each direction. Pretty comfortable overall, felt safe and had a snack and enjoyed the breeze and views.

Once there, the group was divided up and then had a schedule for things like snorkeling, lunch, glass bottom boat and island walk. Overall it worked well. We felt lucky to see two types of sea turtles, remoras, reef sharks, dolphins, octopus, many species of fish and then countless birds on the island walk. We were hoping to see turtle hatchlings which were in season, but no luck (it sounds like this mostly occurs at night). Some unforgettable memories and photos.

My only complaint was the food. As we were out for about 8-9 hours overall this was a necessary part of the experience, and unfortunately the food and food service just wasn’t very good overall. Edible but not enjoyable.

Overall we enjoyed it very much and I would give it 5 stars other than the food aspect, thus the rating of 4.

A beautiful day Five ( adults) went on this beautiful trip. The staff and food were wonderful but the highlight of course is the island and reef. Snorkelling was excellent, and two of the party did a lagoon dive which they loved.
( Dive master plus 3 divers in total). The island is fascinating, it is a bird nesting sanctuary, birds everywhere. In the water heaps of fish, turtles, rays and living coral. Good visibility. Great boat and pontoon. Lots of room for everyone. Totally great day!

I would give this experience 100 stars if I could.
Although the morning was "a little bumpy"🤪🤣 and with people lining up to be sick and some throwing up everywhere, the professional crew showed genuine care and did an amazing job looking after everyone.

All the activities were fantastic, including the glass-bottom boat, the island tour, and of course the highlight: snorkelling! I saw so much marine life and was lucky enough to see many turtles thanks to it being hatching season.

The food throughout the day really helped keep our energy up. Morning tea (bread and fruit), lunch (salad, prawns, chicken and soup), and afternoon tea (celery, hummus and cake) weren’t fancy, but they were nutritious and tasty.

The views were absolutely worth it, and the crew truly showed how caring and friendly they were, always there to help with anything they could.

Special thanks to Belly, Grace and Yuka. You made my trip beyond wonderful!

We had the best day with Lady Musgrave Experience. The crew are highly organised, making the whole day flow seamlessly. They are incredibly friendly and genuinely helpful. There were lots of people feeling sea sick on the way in and the crew were checking in and helping people in any way they could. The company email out a heads up about sea sickness and advice, which we heeded and we were fine. The pontoon was like nothing else we have ever experienced. It had a shop, Sun lounges, underwater observation area, snorkelling and diving stations, and plenty of seating. The food was fresh and plentiful. The glass bottom boat tour was great and the island tour was very informative. The snorkeling was wonderful. They have staff constantly monitoring you from both in the water and on a small boat. I'm so glad we booked through this company, they offer so much and it was honestly the best snorkelling experience any of us had ever had. Thank you!!!

Our journey and visit to Lady Musgrave island was absolutely extraordinary! When we boarded the boat, we were greeted with kindness by the staff, who provided us a great seating option with a window view of the ocean. Onboard, they personally introduced me to the history of the island, which kept me engaged and off my phone. Furthermore, even though my grandfather got a bit seasick, they would always ask him to see if he was okay or needed anything. Furthermore, during our tour around the island, we got to know more about the different birds and the formation of the area. Our guide explained details very clearly and was quite humourous, keeping us fully engaged. The track was also very easy to walk on, with very little elevation or obstructions. The snorkelling experience was also phenomenal, as my mum and I got to see the different coral and fish on the sea floor for the first time. Overall, we were really impressed with our Lady Musgrave experience, and will be sure to come again!

The experience was incredible and the staff were wonderful, very accomodating and friendly. The staff took the time to engage with all passengers on board throughout the trip (a particular shout out to Gina, Bella and Jack for their great conversations, and for helping us on the boat and out on the tours).
Snorkelling over the reef edge and getting to see a wild sea turtle on the reef was unforgettable.
It was a wonderful day. The food and comfort on the boat and pontoon were fantastic also.

The tour has everything. We got to snorkel, enjoy the glass-bottom boat and walk around Lady Musgrave Island while learning about the environment and how the whole ecosystem works. Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea were all really nice too.

This was my second time doing the day tour and it was just as amazing as the first. I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to see the best of the Great Barrier Reef. Truly an unforgettable day.

Had the most amazing trip. My family did the full day Lady Musgrave tour. The team were lovely and passionate about what they were doing, which is really nice to see. The island was just so beautiful and the snorkeling was so much fun. The food was nice as well!
Overall a lovely time, definitely worth doing! (I want to go back already!)

An unforgettable experience! But be prepared for a long wavey journey and lots of sun.
Check in was smooth and the boat is pretty nice. Takes over 2 hours to get to the island, and it will be sloshing and jumping for most of it. We took travacalm on the way out but not the way back and did not get sick.
They gave us a brief rundown of sea critters in the reef before we showed up; saw maybe half those in the water.
Our group did snorkeling first, then lunch, then island tour/glass bottom boat, and more snorkeling. Their snorkle gear is pretty good but I prefer the full face masks from Amazon if you have one. The snorkeling was amazing! So many reef fish, sea turtles, and beautiful coral. The weather was nice and bright and the water is super clear.
The lunch was okay, but I felt we didn't have enough time to eat it.
The island tour was fun, lots of weird birds, and we saw some reef sharks near the shore.
The glass bottom boat was good, though I felt the snorkeling was better.
The pontoon that you do all of this from is pretty nice as well; good layout, shade, seating, beers, etc.
My only qualm is that you spend 4+ hours at sea to get about the same amount of time in the reef.
We went in November, the weather was pretty great, but we missed rain by 1 day.

Visiting the Great Barrier Reef was on my bucket list and the crew of Lady Musgrave Experience (LME) conducted it in style! The 2.5 hour journey from Bundaberg Marina to the Island was worth every minute of it. The different varieties of coral and the pristine waters dazzle you with their colors and textures. The endangered species of turtle, fish, and birds are simply out-of-this world- they remind us how small we humans are in the larger scheme of nature. The trip includes three fresh meals, snorkeling in the reef, visit to the forest on the small island, and a glass-bottom tour- that is a big value-for-money! Best of all, the professionalism, hospitality, and courtesy of the crew, esp crew leader Jade and the on-board marine biologist, was really impressive. I was traveling alone and it was my first time snorkeling in the reef, but they made me feel right at home. The crew also took very good care of some passengers who suffered from sea-sickness on our return journey. I would highly recommend this trip to all my friends and family and would definitely return to this Island the next time I visit Australia.

Island with the LMI Experience team. Check in was smooth, the swell a bit choppy but everyone was made to feel comfortable (crew were great with dealing with a few people suffering from sea sickness). When we arrived at the Island time flew by in the best way - an informative and excellent island tour, a cool glass-bottom boat tour where we spotted turtles, then snorkelling and a scuba dive after lunch - both were amazing, there's so much to see in the lagoon, especially The Aquarium section!

Absolutely amazing experience. Would definitely recommend it to others. We took our 2 children along - both under 10 and they loved it. Would highly recommend people follow the sea sick medication advice given when booking as we enjoyed the whole experience- some people who did not were not so lucky! 🤢

We’ve been out to Lady Musgrave Island multiple times, and it never disappoints! As locals, we can honestly say it’s one of the best experiences you can do in the region. The staff are fantastic, the reef is stunning, and the day is always well organised. Always worth spending a little extra for the VIP experience — it makes an already amazing day even better! PS. Bella was an absolute legend and made our trip on 8/10/25 even more enjoyable!
