The Trevena Glen Animal & Horse Experience
Enjoy a personalised two-hour premium farm tour led by your own dedicated guide. This interactive experience is designed to get you up close and personal with our friendly farm animals, making it perfect for guests aged 4 and over. 🐴
Your interactive farm adventure includes:
- Hands-on Fun: Groom, lead, and ride our friendly donkeys (dependent on weight).
- Farmyard Activities: Help move or walk our sheep and goats, and lead our beautiful Alpacas on an extended farm walk.
- Horse Care & Riding: Brush and wash our horses, lead them on a walk, and enjoy a led horse ride around the farm (available for riders aged 3 to 65, under 85kg).
- Animal Encounters: Feed our pigs, cuddle and groom our guinea pigs, collect fresh eggs, and gather veggies to feed the rabbits. 🐰
The Ocean View Winery Experience
After your farm adventure, sit back and unwind in our spectacular lakeside restaurant. Indulge in a premium flight of five of the winemaker’s favourite wines, perfectly paired with a delicious four-course lunch featuring the Chef’s favourite dishes.
Your Tour Itinerary
- 9:00 am: Arrive at Trevena Glen Farm (1100 Winn Road, Mount Samson).
- 11:00 am: Depart Trevena Glen for Ocean View Estates.
- 11:45 am: Arrive at Ocean View Estates to be seated in our lakeside restaurant. Stay as long as you like and soak up the beautiful atmosphere.
Important Information
- Public Holidays: Tours and experiences running on a public holiday will incur a 15% surcharge.
- Alcohol Service: Photo ID must be shown upon request to consume alcohol. Extra wine is available for purchase; we kindly ask that you drink responsibly and nominate a designated driver.
- Safety & Preparation: Electronic waivers must be signed prior to riding. Enclosed shoes are mandatory (boots with a small heel are highly recommended). Helmets are provided, or you may bring your own.
- Weather & Group Sizes: This program is weather-dependent and may be rescheduled if required. Please note there is a maximum number of guests permitted per session.

- Appropriate Attire: You MUST wear closed-in shoes (preferably boots with a heel) and long pants (tights, jodhpurs, or jeans are suitable).
- Sun Protection & Hydration: Please ensure you bring a hat, water, and sunscreen as it will be hot.
- Change of Clothes: You are welcome to bring a spare change of clothes. Changing rooms and showers are available at TGHQ.
- Dietary Requirements: Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements (light snacks will be provided) or if you would prefer a non-alcoholic beverage option.

Corporate team building at the Farm! We recently visited Trevena Glen Farm for a corporate team building day, and it was sensational!The team were incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable and made the whole experience enjoyable from start to finish. The activities were relaxed, engaging and full of laughter, while the animal encounters were definitely the highlight. There were plenty of smiles, a few people stepping outside their comfort zones, and lots of moments we'll all remember.
It was such a lovely way to spend time together away from the office in a beautiful setting. If you're looking for something a little different, Trevena Glen Farm is well worth a visit. We'll certainly be back.

Ample parking, well guided tours, playground facilities, animal patting and feeding for kids: a real farm life experience. Plenty to do in 1 hour. The tours are not rushed. The additional picnic tables and chairs are a bonus. They allowed us eat our own BYO snacks before heading out.

What a lovely day! The staff were so friendly and helpful and also very knowledgeable about the animals on the farm. The escape room was a real treat and possibly the highlight of the day. We participated in the medium difficulty room. I would recommend this activity for families with high-schoolers. Overall, a very enjoyable (and wheelchair) accessible outing.

It's a cute farm, with your visit being in stages, general public tours start at $22 with a range of feeding and holding/ interaction with the animals.
The playground is super cool.
The more you pay the more you interact with. You can easily come with the kids go on tour and have a little picnic in the playground after. You cannot access the animals again once your tour is over.
Good: staff, tour guide was friendly and helpful. Highly recommend paying for a private tour starting at $33. Buy your tickets at least a day ahead ! You are in a tour so there isn't over crowding or long waits.
Not so good: while listed as wheelchair friendly you Will need a carer to help / farm is not flat, rain doesn't help / mud, and the land has tree roots / the upper farm has train tracks that aren't flat, wheelchair got stuck on. We didn't miss out on anything though!
I didn't like not bring able to go back to see the animals after grabbing a snack at the Cafe, it was ' done and dusted ' so I would recommend buying a longer ticket.

Highly recommend to buy the tour ticket in Advanced online. No walk in slot is available or limited slot. You will able to hug, pet and feed the animals, the entire tour is about 1 hour. Suggests to come in the morning tour.
The train is operating on Saturday ONLY, woth 4 timing slots. $7 per train ticket.
Private tour will have horse riding to tour around the farm.
Here only have a cafe that selling coffee, drinks and small snacks.

Great visit, lots of hands on experience with the animals in a beautiful setting with lovely staff. A wonderful experience. Sara was our guide and she was lovely and ensured all the children got to experience the different animals. Our granddaughter who is four had a great time. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.She also had the longer pony and really enjoyed it. Would definitely recommend.

Trevena Farm is a fantastic place to visit. It’s easy to find, with plenty of parking, and the property itself is absolutely beautiful—such a relaxing and welcoming setting.
The real highlight for us was the staff. Everyone was friendly and helpful, but Ally in particular went above and beyond. She took the time to talk us through our options for the visit, helped calm a child meltdown with genuine care and patience, and even made an excellent coffee!
Highly recommend—such a lovely experience all around.

Was a cool little adventure, the young boy that took our tour was really good interacting with the group! Well done young man. Having interactions and cuddles with all the animals was a great experience. Must do with your kiddos! Pony ride was worth the extra, it was fantastic, my son had a blast.

Advanced Escape Room was a lot of fun We just completed a trial run of their new escape room on the farm. We got to experience the advanced version with just the two of us, having completed a few escape rooms before. We were really impressed by the quality and the challenge was just right, I think. Didn't quite solve it but were very, very close after the hour was up. I would recommend the experience if you have the opportunity.read moreread less

Booked trevena for a 3rd birthday party and to say it was a hit with the kids is an understatement!!! The tree house was enough to keep the birthday kid happy but the horse rides were an absoulute hit and they could not get enough.. every kid asked for extra even the ones we thought wouldnt ride.. could not fault trevena other than we did hope to have a variety of food available to order for the kids but there was not much available( they would have only eaten a $5 toastie or $5 cookie) otherwise 10/10 Samson was a doll and i still want to take him home

Pleased with the experience our grandchildren had. We booked a private tour so the kids got a more up close and personal experience with the farm animals. We were lucky that our tour guide (Eve) was friendly and engaging. She interacted well with the kids and that made the tour enjoyable for all of us. Our visit ended with a pony ride and the guide for that (Emma) was also professional and friendly chatting to the kids during the ride. Was worth the effort and 1.5hr drive.

Great farm experience so close to the city. Fabulous day out. The children were so excited to see the variety of animals as well as get to hold/pat and ride them. A wonderful day out for kids and adults, only 40 minutes from Brisbane by car. We did the one hour farm experience with our five-year-old grandson. Highly recommend.! Participants get to interact with the animals in controlled situations, feeding donkey , brushing pony and even getting to cuddle their own guinea pig! There’s a lovely activity play Centre attached to a marvellous tree which the kids really enjoy. Very affordable, thanks for a lovely day out!

Amazing farm experience! I recently visited for a maternity photoshoot with my friend, and the staff were incredibly kind and supportive. We had unexpected rain on the day, but they were so understanding and happily rescheduled our session at the last minute. Everyone waited patiently for the weather to clear so we could still capture beautiful photos.
They even helped us choose the best route around the farm and were willing to walk with us — and a horse — to all the locations we wanted for the perfect shots and overall farm experience. Truly exceptional service. I can’t recommend them highly enough!

We did a 2hr private tour. It was worth it even though it costed more. The tour was led by Bryce who shared lots of interesting information about the animals and was patient with my kids who were overly excited during the tour. My kids had a great time interacting with animals that we can't experience at our home country.
When my kids wanted to watch how their beverages were made at the cafe, the lady staff was very kind to show how the choc shakes were being made. Highly recommend this place.

Educational, Fun, and Perfect for Kids! My two boys and I absolutely loved this tour! We learned so much about the animals, and our guide (sorry, I’ve forgotten her name!) was incredibly patient with my kids, who asked a million questions. We each got to walk an alpaca and had so much fun feeding the goats and sheep. The highlight was spending time with the rabbits and cuddling the baby chicks — they were only 12 days old! The only small downside was that we visited on a Friday, so the miniature train wasn’t running. We’ll definitely be back again soon!read moreread less

I searched high and low for a kid friendly hobby and found this little gem. After my initial email of enquiry it was suggested that I booked a personal tour, this did cost a little more but the lovely guide was able to customise our tour to Mr 12's interests (pigs) and she was very understanding and patient when I said that the bigger animals were a bit of a source of anxiety. My son is currently wheelchair bound and every single staff member went out of their way to accommodate him, from the young lady at the cafe to our loving and caring guides.
Very understanding staff who love to work here.
Although I think this might be suited more for younger children the three of us still really enjoyed our time out here today.

We took our two grandkids to the farm today and we were blessed with wonderful weather.
The kids had a ball visiting all the animals and had the chance to pat and feed many animals. A highlight was the guinea pigs and our grandson loved holding and feeding them.

My friend and I had a private tour with Bryce, he was very personable and knowledgeable. We were lucky enough to hold baby guinea pigs, baby chickens and walk a lama. We highly recommend visiting the farm as it's enjoyable for young and old.

We spent 2 wonderful days at the farm! A specially arranged horse riding session for my 8 year old. And a 3h private tour. The guide (Suz) and riding instructor (Ally) were so friendly and warm. Suz in particular was lovely, answering our incessant questions and her enthusiasm and love for the animals was contagious! The animals were adorable and we got to go up and personal with almost all of them. They were obviously well cared for and clean. Truly a wonderful experience! BRILLIANT!! Absolutely brilliant day. We visited for my daughters birthday and she was involved in preparing animal feed, walking animals, moving animals to different areas of the farm, feeding them and horse riding. Bryce was our tour guide for the 3 hour private tour and allowed us to do as much or as little as we liked. We loved all the goats, sheep, alpacas, donkeys, horses, rabbits, chicks, guinea pigs and of course Freckles the pig. Bryce is a lovely, personable, mature, responsible and friendly young man. He was very knowledgeable and very patient with the oodles of questions my daughter had and waiting for my 80yo Mum to keep up with us walking all over the farm. We chatted the entire time and nothing was too much trouble for him. Such a wonderful young man of only 18yo and Trevena are lucky to have him. All the staff were extremely friendly and the views over Mt Glorious are stunning. The suggestion to stop at Lake Samsonvale on the way home to watch the sunset was the perfect way to end the day.Highly recommend a visit to Trevena if you love animals. 10/10 from us!

Best family morning out ever! If I could rate it higher I would. Amazing! Return visitors here. We have both school excursions in the past and a general admission today. This place feels so relaxed and welcoming. We spoke to several staff today during our visits and every single person from the cafe to our tour (thank you Lily) and just generally walking around was so friendly. One of the staff even simply walked up to us to ask if we needed anything and how we were enjoying our visit. I forget her name but I found out during our conversation she was new to the team, she was so friendly and welcoming! Wonderful farm, happy animals, great staff: 10/10 We took our two kindy classes on an excursion to Trevena Glen farm for the day, and it was just the best experience from beginning to end. What a beautiful farm in an idyllic location!The facilities were well set up to accomodate our group (35 kids and about as many adults because of our keen parent helpers), including a fenced eating area and plenty of taps to wash little hands. We had animal experiences which included feeding and/or patting some goats, an alpaca, sheep, rabbits, chickens, pigs and guinea pigs, and brushing the mane and body of a gorgeous little horse.
The animals were obviously well cared for, and for many children this was their first (but very memorable) experience up close with these gorgeous, calm creatures. The three farmers who took our three groups around did a fabulous and age-appropriate job of drawing the children’s attention to the ways animals were getting what they needed in the way of food and water and care, and the different shelters and enclosures each animal had which gave them space to roam and play and enjoy the sun and pasture. You’ve never seen a group of four year olds so engaged and calm and happy.
It was a perfect experience, ran like clockwork, the staff were so warm and friendly, and the views of the surrounding hills and mountains was breathtaking. As a teacher I’ve been on lots of excursions in my time but this was by far the most memorable, and the children have been sharing so many wonderful learnings and experiences from the day with enthusiasm- and it’s inspired lots of extensions of this learning in their play back at kindy since.

I could not have loved this place more. My son and I did a 3 hour private tour and we got to spend time with all of the animals with our own private guide. My son rode the donkey. We walked the alpacas and both rode horses. Cuddled guinea pigs and chickens and pat a bunny. Saw an egg in the incubator starting to hatch and all the baby chick's. Fed the pigs. Brushed the goats. Pat a sheep. They also have the grandest tree turned into a treehouse/playground. The place just felt so warm and loved and just beautiful with the mountains behind it and the staff were all wonderful. Particularly our guide Suzie. Well worth the experience and I can't wait to go back and do it again. Getting up close with the animals like that is like therapy! Even my 8 year old said it was a 10 out of 10 and we may need to get some guinea pigs of our own now.

A little piece of animal loving paradise! I could not have loved this place more. My son and I did a 3 hour private tour and we got to spend time with all of the animals with our own private guide. My son rode the donkey. We walked the alpacas and both rode horses. Cuddled guinea pigs and chickens and pat a bunny. Saw an egg in the incubator starting to hatch and all the baby chick's. Fed the pigs. Brushed the goats. Pat a sheep. They also have the grandest tree turned into a treehouse/playground. The place just felt so warm and loved and just beautiful with the mountains behind it and the staff were all wonderful. Particularly our guide Suzie. Well worth the experience and I can't wait to go back and do it again. Getting up close with the animals like that is like therapy! Even my 8 year old said it was a 10 out of 10 and we may need to get some guinea pigs of our own now.read moreread less

Absolutely fantastic experience at Trevena Glen Farm. My boys had the time of their lives. My oldest hasn’t stopped talking about the pony ride and walking Honkey the Donkey, such a unique and memorable activity. The tour was perfectly tailored for kids, engaging and fun without being overstimulating. The animals were so well cared for, and it was wonderful to see the boys interact with them in such a hands-on way. We’ll definitely be back again. Highly recommend for families looking for a funday out!”

Great family farm trip Our tour guide Ben was very friendly and patient. We enjoyed meeting all the different animals. Walking the alpacas was definitely a highlight and my 4yo daughter loved her pony ride. The cafe staff were friendly and it was great to be able to buy drinks and ice blocks on such a hot day. The tree playground was a hit with the kids. Only disappointment was missing out on a train ride as we were visiting after the last one ran. A great afternoon, well worth the drive.read moreread less

We had a wonderful time at the farm. We booked the extended pony ride and 1 hr public farm tour. The tour was well conducted and the people running the farm are lovely. Our kid loved it, and if she's happy, so are we.

Purchased a 3hr animal encounter experience for me and my friend for her birthday. We were fortunate enough to be the only two for our tour. Our guide -Ally I think?- I’m so sorry I forgot her name! :(( but she was amazing!! So easy to chat to, welcoming, funny and very knowledgeable! We enjoyed getting to hold, pat and brush a range of animals including goats, rabbits, and horses (got to ride horses too!) we also got to see a heap of other animals. We also got a yummy afternoon tea snack and coffee- a nice touch! The farm is gorgeous and the surrounding scenery is beautiful. I would highly recommend! Thanks team at Trevena Glen Farm!

Booked an 9 year old birthday party, basic tour with a tractor ride. We could bring our own food and drink. It’s a beautiful location very serene and peaceful. Awesome helpful staff, kids had a fun time. Would do it again!

Great family day out We had a fantastic time at Trevena Glen Farm with our 5 and 2 year Olds. We did the personal 1 hour tour and our guide was fantastic. She answered all of our 5 year Olds questions (and there were alot) and also kept our 2 year old interested in the tour. Our kids got to pat, feed, brush, ride and hold so many different animals and loved them all. We also added a pony ride which our two year old decided she wasn't going to ride the horse. So they let our son use her ride as well. A great wholesome family place to visit.read moreread less

She had such wonderful patience with a toddler. Leo got to pat the donkey, feed the pigs, alpacas & goats, hold the softest sweetest chicken and brush the guinea pigs. He was most excited to see the tractor! It was a lovely morning outing - all the staff were friendly, I was impressed by the on-site cafe and the farm is well set out for kids. Too small this year for a pony ride or the treehouse so we will definitely be back. Thank you for a great day!

Wonderful Farm experience What an awesome place to visit. This is our second time. Everyone who works there is lovely and all the animals are so well looked after and spoiled. support this amazing family business with MANY things on a farm to learn and enjoy - these were enjoyed the most - Horse riding,
HUGE tree house,
learning about farm animals and how they are cared for,
The "laughing donkey" and the process of getting our tickets and group booked was SO easy!
They are busy doing a mini train track - which I HOPE will be finished soon.
one thing my 4yr old noticed and he asked me on the way home - "Where the cows on the farm mommy?"
The group enjoyed all the animals, playing and climbing and holding the chickens - hope to have some more animals when the train comes in and more people support this amazing family business.
We NEED more places liek this for the family to go in the holidays thats for sure.

We celebrated our daughters 5th birthday on Saturday. The kids had an absolute ball! The staff were amazing & the animals were a big hit! The young girl with the Guinea pigs was a little sweetheart & very informative! We would 100% recommend this place to all families!! We will be back soon! Thanks again for a wonderful birthday party!

What a beautiful farm my kids had an amazing time they loved holding, patting, feeding, brushing the animals and taking the alpacas for a walk our tour guide Zahlia was also friendly & very knowledgeable. Highly recommend this place.

Had my child’s 3rd birthday here today in the party barn and the staff from start to finish were extremely attentive and accommodating. We weren’t sure if some kids would be able to make it as they have chronic health conditions and the team were so understanding with final numbers. Thanks so much guys definitely going to come back.

Farm Tour/Horsemanship Session Enjoyable school holiday/weekend activity to do with kids who love and enjoy patting and feeding animals. Picturesque mountain views as well. Very friendly staff and tour guide. The Horsemanship Sessions are another great activity to do over the holidays if you are a beginner and want to see if horse riding is for you.

What a special day! We had booked a personal tour and although it was pouring with rain, we were able to visit all the animals undercover. Suzanna was a great tour guide and the coffee and hot chocolate we ordered from the cafe afterwards was delicious. We highly recommend Trevena Glen Farm and hope to be back again soon.

Fantastic activity for Miss 6 on the school holidays. Enough to do without taking up the whole day. Very knowledgeable staff with great attitudes towards the kids (and this big kid ????).
Affordable prices and great way to support small unique businesses.
We are looking forward to seeing the completed renovations next school holidays - we'll be back with the rest of the family and will bring a picnic lunch.

We booked a 3hr farm experience and had a wonderful time. Liz was so accommodating with our eagerness in exploring all the animals. My 1st horse ride in 30 years and my grandsons 1st horse ride ever. Thanks Larry & Thunder for being so kind to us on our rides. We had a great time meeting & feeding all the animals. The Guinea pigs topped the cuteness ladder.

Just had my daughters 1st birthday here and everyone had an absolute amazing time!! The party garden was very big it accommodated 30 children plus some little babies and a lot of adults. We were also able to have soft play and hire a pizza truck. The kids were very happy they got to ride horses, feed pigs and hold the guinea pigs. We will definitely be back for a family day out when the train and rock climbing are done. Thanks again Trevena Glen Farm!!
