Whether you’ve visited before, you’re a huge foodie, or you just want something authentic to do in Adelaide, this Adelaide food tour is for you!
What is fritz? A frog cake? Find out as you join us for our two-hour Adelaide food tour around the city centre, where you will discover the local meats and sweets of South Australia. As we detail the history of these locally made products, you’ll taste the city’s best chocolate, nuts, and iced coffee, plus oddities we grow up eating in Adelaide: a frog cake and some fritz. Finally, lunch will be provided from within the market at a popular bakery (a meat pie/pasty etc of your choice). You’ll take away a surprise dessert plus extra goodies to continue your Adelaide food journey.
This is a fun, unique Adelaide tour about the city’s love for quirky food. Walk away knowing more about Adelaide than the average traveller, and be sure to bring a shopping bag as you’ll have time to make purchases at our stops.

Diana was a wonderful guide. From listening to her I got a good understanding of local city neighbourhoods which I got to further explore later.
She is a wealth of knowledge about our history & very up to date with what is going on now.
Thoroughly enjoyed my 3 hour walk around beautiful Adelaide. Would recommend Flamboyance Tours to visitors and locals.
Thanks Katina.
I wanted the perspective of a local guide so I found a well reviewed (and woman led) company called Flamboyance Tours. 👍
The F Factor: This 1st tour was a short visit to the shopping district to taste the famous Haigh's chocolates and we were introduced to the early ornate shopping arcades still gracing this city. We then went on to a substantial tour of the delicious goodies at the bustling local Central Market which was full of local produce. Andrea, our guide did a very good job on the histories of the local merchants and she also introduced us to many delicacies!
Iconic Adelaide Tour: The 2nd tour was led by the owner Katina, who has a journalism background and has trained in Europe on tour guiding. She was super knowledgeable and was able to provide deep details when asked. The tour starts with some of the earliest structures in Adelaide, namely the Mounted Police barracks and Armoury established in 1838. What mostly amazed me was how many women were prominent in governing, social services and academic roles in Adelaide. Their statues are all along North Terrace and are there as proof. I LIKE this city ! A most welcoming place for ALL….

Would highly recommend.
Katina provided the tour of Adelaide’s history, sights and culture in an interesting and informative way.
Accessible friendly tour, we had our 9 month old in a pram and had no issues.
Fun Introduction to Adelaide
What a fun and informative walk with Katina around Adelaide’s Central Business District. This is a must-do tour for newbies to the city and probably even for long-time residents. Katina is a local (born and raised). She exudes energy and passion for her beautiful city of Adelaide. I learned a lot about the city’s history, architecture, and controversies during the ninety-plus minute amble from Rundle Mall and alleyways to peek at local Street Art. This was an excellent tour and is highly recommended.
Katina is a fantastic guide with a wealth of knowledge.
Take the time to enjoy the tour. Well worth it
????
Tour: 3hrs, did not feel that long, though remember decent walking shoes and a bottle of water. There were many stops along the way while Katina was giving us info on the various sites. For what we thought was a small area, there was definitely 3hrs worth of things to see and find good info on. And there are some absolute gems there. Who would have thought a library would evoke a sense of interest.
Katina has a good clear speaking voice and her passion and pride in the city and what it has to offer shows through.
Adelaide, you have a good ambassador.
We ended up on this tour by chance as we were keen to do a walking tour and had another one cancelled. I am so glad we did!
The tour gives a brief overview of the main sites in the city centre (on the South of the river only).
Kat our guide is an Adelaide native and has a real passion for the local history and culture and this really shines through when she is showing you around.
Kat was very knowledgable and full of recommendations and tips for you to further explore the city in your own time. We followed up on most of Kat’s suggestions and none of them disappointed.
I thoroughly recommend Flamboyance tours to anyone and everyone.
10/10
Ps: she is also very good with the street art ( see photo example)
