Depart Launceston from 7.30am and travel via Sheffield, the Town of Murals before travelling up into the mountains through gorges, rain forest and button grass plains to reach the destination of Cradle Mountain, one of Tasmania’s most recognisable landmarks and one of Tasmania’s most visited attractions.

On this fully guided day tour you experience the unique flora, fauna and geographical features of the World Heritage listed National Park.

Please advise, from the following pick-up points, where you will meet our coach:

  • 7.30am Hotel Grand Chancellor
  • 7.40am Launceston Backpackers

For this tour ensure you have warm clothing, wet weather gear and comfortable walking shoes suitable for the Cradle Mountain experience!

Retuning to Launceston is approximately 5.30pm. Please note that there may be delays due to traffic, other passengers, weather conditions, etc. 

TOUR OPERATIONS

Departing Launceston, we have a brief stop in Sheffield then proceed to Cradle Mountain National Park. 
On arrival, the group will board a small coach to enter the Park. You will then proceed to Dove Lake for 2 small walks, spending up to 1.5hrs here. You will then go on to explore more of the Park seeing Waldheim Chalet and Weindorfer’s Rainforest.  
You will have time for lunch throughout the day. The approximate time in the park is 4hrs. 
The tour departs the Park to Sheffield for a visit to the local Honey Farm and Township. (Visits to Ashgrove Cheese are on Sun only)

DOVE LAKE TOUR UPGRADE

Take your experience deeper into Cra­dle Moun­tain and join us on one of Tasmania’s most pop­u­lar walks with a guid­ed 6km cir­cuit around Dove Lake. This tour runs in conjunction with your current tour operations.
