Our tour begins at Dongara Marine, one of Australia’s leading boatbuilders, to see how large-scale commercial crayfishing vessels are crafted for the global fleet. Then visit the Geraldton Fishermen’s Co-operative, the hub of the region’s multi-million dollar Western Rock Lobster industry, and discover how these prized lobsters are processed for export around the world. Conclude your tour with a taste of fresh crayfish overlooking the harbour; one of Geraldton’s most Instagrammable locations.

  • Closed in shoes must be worn to participate in the tour in order to enter the factory. 
  • Hats are encouraged, otherwise hair nets will be provided. 
  • Hi-vis vests will be provided for factory access.

The Geraldton Fisherman’s Co-operative crayfish factory visited on this tour is a working factory. Timings of crayfish delivery, processing and grading vary daily so whilst it is not guaranteed that all tours will be able to observe this part of the process in action, guests will experience the operations of the processing facility in real time.
