Spend a relaxed summer afternoon savouring Bendigo’s creative spirit on a journey through food, drinks, and story. A Taste of Bendigo – Summer Foodie Walking Tour is a fun, flavour-filled adventure that celebrates the city’s finest seasonal produce, its passionate makers, and the remarkable history that shaped Australia’s first UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy.
This is not just a tasting tour, it’s an immersion into the tastes, textures, and stories that define Bendigo today. Over 2.5 indulgent hours, you’ll visit four of the city’s most acclaimed venues, each presenting a signature summer dish or drinks inspired by local ingredients and crafted with imagination.
Guided by a passionate local storyteller, you’ll wander shaded streets lined with grand architecture, uncover hidden laneways, and hear how a city born from gold has become a beacon of creativity and cuisine. Between tastings, you’ll pause to soak up the atmosphere — the clink of glasses, the hum of conversation, the scent of wood-fired pizza drifting through the air, as Bendigo reveals itself as a feast for the senses and the soul.
It’s the perfect way to spend a Saturday afternoon: deliciously unhurried, effortlessly elegant, and full of local charm. As Featured by Tourism Australia!

I'm already planning my next tour with Bendigo Guided Tours, as loved it that much. Thanks Jamie for a great afternoon..
My wife and I were fortunate to be able to join Jamie from Bendigo Guided Tours on a very informative tour of the Chinese mines and precinct.
We firstly went to see some mines just off a road I have travelled a thousand times before and I didn’t know that these mines existed.
We also went to the Joss house and Chinese Gardens that I have never been in to.
A lovely morning tea at Omari and also a visit to the Chinese Museum.
If anyone is wanting a tour, I would recommend Bendigo Guided Tours.
Jamie also does food orientated tours. A brunch tour might be our next one.
