The instructors are incredibly knowledgeable and patient, with a real passion for teaching. They don’t just prepare you to pass a test—they prepare you to become a confident, competent, and safety-focused instructor. The balance between theory and practical flying was excellent, and the feedback after every lesson was constructive and encouraging.
The school’s facilities and aircraft are well maintained, and the supportive atmosphere made learning enjoyable and rewarding. I felt challenged, motivated, and fully supported throughout the entire program.
If you’re considering an Instructor Rating, I highly recommend this training provider. The quality of instruction, professionalism, and genuine care for student success make it a standout choice.
But I’m so glad I went.
I absolutely loved it !!!!
We flew over SE Melb and followed the coastline to Frankston.
I highly recommend it and encourage all to try.
Give Tristar Flight school a go. The staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. Planes are in good order. I paid a little extra for the bigger plane because of my size. Well worth it.
Go and find him !
Hope to see you again soon !
The instructor was awesome! My dad enjoyed every bit of it!
Thank you, Tristar, for a fantastic afternoon.
My pilot instructor, Andrew, was very thorough in taking me through the routine inspection of the aircraft and explaining each aspect and its role in the flight. I was also impressed with the way that he took the time to explain the controls and was extremely patient with me when I became nervous when it was my turn to take the controls.
That said, I enjoyed the hands on nature of the experience and that I got to be in control for most of the flight while in the air. Views of Port Phillip Bay from the cockpit were also pretty amazing.
