A very nice person. Be on time and you will have a great tour. Excelente servicio, muchas gracias.
I am serious recommend this tour compare with others,
Lets start my honest review!!
Hope it helps 🫶🫶
---
1. Car/Van ❤️
The car is so important on an all-day tour! If your butt, back, or knees hurt, it totally affects the next day’s plans. But this van was super comfortable!!!
2. Guide ❤️
Peter was honestly so, so friendly! He tried so hard to show us koalas and kangaroos, and he shared so much history and information. We loved it!!
Every single spot he let us see was just 💯!!!!❤️🫶🫰
3. Convenience❤️
They picked us up and dropped us off right in front of our accommodation, which was incredibly convenient. I even forgot to bring water, but they provided it—so nice!
4. No pressure at all❤️
Some tour guides tell you where to eat (usually not great places), or rush you to hurry up and get back on the bus. But this tour never pushed us. It was really free and relaxed, so we were able to find good restaurants and grab great coffee! (We all know how important food is when traveling, right?)
Seriously, even if you pay a little extra, choose this one!!! You won’t regret it!! (And I’m even from Brisbane 😂😂)
If you’re considering a Great Ocean Road tour from Melbourne and want something comfortable, well-organised, personal, and memorable; I highly recommend this one. Would happily do it again.
Our guide has been very welcoming and clear during the whole trip. We had the chance to visit different breathtaking corners and to spot several wildlife animals.
Highly recommended for a complete daily trip along the great ocean road!
Peter's commentary was louder and softer at various points. This made it a little difficult for me to hear.
I have to remind myself that as an Australian I know some of the info, but for the others it is all new.
The koalas were a great hit.
Even though it was a topical Melbourne weather Peter it didn’t dampen his positive energy to ensure all passengers were catered to.
The stops along the way were breathtaking and lots of photo opportunities.
Make sure to dress in layers for ultimate comfort along the way.
Highly recommend!
Our itinerary:
7:00 Pick Up (25mins late)
9:15 Bakery in Colac (15mins)
10:15 Apostles (35mins plenty of time to walk the trail R/T) BEST STOP
11:15 Loch Ard Shipwreck site (30mins plenty of time to walk the trail R/T)
12:20 Rainforest (30mins R/T walk to waterfall) 2nd BEST stop
1:30 Koala Bears in Trees
2:00 Apollo Bay Lunch (45mins) cheeseburgers @ Pit Stop Bros- very good
3:40 Kangaroos (waste of time)
4:00 Teddy’s Lookout near Lorne
4:30 Great Ocean Road Sign and beach (waste of time)
4:55 Chocolate Factory and final bathroom stop (15mins)
6:40 Southern Train Station (you find your way home from here)
The times are approximate, but you can see there are lots of stops. I would definitely cut out 2-3 stops. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking: rolling hills, sheep farms, cattle ranches, mountains, rainforest, and beaches. However, the 3* rating reflects Mike being a poor guide.
