Explore the island’s entire coastline, visiting 23 bays and beaches, including 10 accessible only by sea. From iconic locations such as Florence Bay, Arthur Bay, Radical Bay and Balding Bay to the remote Five Beach Bay, this tour showcases more of Magnetic Island than any other experience.

Led by experienced local guides, you’ll captain your own jet ski while discovering hidden beaches, rugged granite headlands, fringing reefs and secluded bays rarely visited by most travellers. There’ll be opportunities to stop for a swim, take in the scenery and experience some of the island’s most spectacular coastal locations.

Along the way, learn about Magnetic Island’s wildlife, history and natural environment while exploring protected National Parks, remote coastlines and iconic local landmarks.

Guided Jet Ski Tour: Enjoy approximately 3 hours of guided jet skiing around Magnetic Island.

Equipment & EMC Included: All gear is provided, including thermal rashies, life jackets, goggles and dry bags. Your EMC helps support daily Marine Park management and reef protection.

Free Tour Photos: Receive full access to all photos captured by your guide at no additional cost.

TIME AND DURATION

Briefing & Start Time: Departure times vary throughout the year. As an example, our morning tour briefing begins at 8:30 AM, with departure at approximately 9:00 AM.

Tour Duration: Enjoy approximately 3 hours on the water. Depending on conditions and wildlife encounters, allow additional time for sightseeing and interpretation.

Total Time to Allow: Please allow approximately 4 hours from check-in to return, including the safety briefing, on-water training and tour.

Twin Share: $215 per person (combined weight must not exceed 160kg)

JET SKI CHECKLIST

WHAT WE NEED:

English: Participants must have a thorough understanding of, and be able to communicate in English.

Swimming Ability: Competent and confident swimmers only.

Weight Limits: Single riders: 120kg maximum. Twin share: 160kg maximum combined weight.

Age Requirements: Passengers with an adult (18+) must be at least six years old. Riders aged 16–17 may ride alone but cannot carry underage passengers. A parent or guardian must also be on the tour, with both providing photo ID and a Visa or Mastercard.

Medical Conditions & Alcohol: Participants must confirm they have no pre-existing medical conditions that could affect their ability to safely operate or ride a jet ski, are not pregnant, and have a 0 BAC at the time of riding.

WHAT TO BRING:

Photo ID: One form of valid photo identification is required per jet ski (driver’s licence, 18+ card or passport).

Credit Card: A matching Visa or Mastercard is required for registration. No security deposit is held or charged to the card.

Clothing: Wear comfortable clothing. Outside of stinger season, a thermal long-sleeve rash shirt is provided.

Sunglasses & Hats: Tinted goggles provided; bring a fishing or bucket hat with a strap if desired.

Phones & Cameras: Safe to bring; your guide will show storage options.

Sunscreen & Towel: Bring a towel and your own sunscreen if not pre-ordered. Sunscreen can be applied once suited up.

Water Bottle: A 600ml bottle fits in the jet ski glove box.

No Licence or Prior Experience Required: Guests receive a comprehensive briefing and on-water training, making the tour accessible to beginners while still offering excitement for experienced riders.

Adaptable Routes: Guides adjust routes according to weather and sea conditions, maintaining safety while still delivering the best possible experience.

When the Wind Blows: If conditions prevent us from completing the full island circuit, we’ll operate our shorter Top End Tour and refund the difference in price.

Small Group Experience: Limited to 10 participants per tour, ensuring personal attention and on-water supervision.

Safety & Instruction: Every tour begins with a full safety briefing, equipment demonstration and ongoing guidance from qualified staff.

Wildlife: Sightings are hoped for but not guaranteed.

Minimum Numbers: Full Island Tours require a minimum of 2 jet skis (2–4 people). If minimum numbers are not met, we’ll operate a shorter tour and refund the difference in price.
