An Anazing Experience I have to say the passion shown by the guide was contagious and so informative. I would recommend this tour to anyone who has any interest in the rainforest and wildlife. I assure you that I would do this tour again over and over again

Immersive Experience Kane was an incredibly informed guide, a local whos family has been in the Daintree for generations. The experience highlighted the importance of conservation and biodiversity. He was also very respectful towards to First Nations people who have called the Daintree home for 40,000+ years. Highly recommend if you really want to immerse in the nature.

A wonderful adventure on my own with “Farnorthescapes”
I did the whole 16 days with the guide leader Jason who was so knowledgeable, experienced and fun plus the 2 other guides when we had the full capacity. My sincere thanks to you all.I felt so comfortable and safe the entire time.
The 2 days travelling south + inland from Cairns there was lots to see + enjoy. Paronella Park, Yungaburra, rock art and the caves out of Chilligoe where the accommodation was very comfortable. A highlight was the Mungalli Creek biodynamic dairy farm + cafe
The for the majority of the trip there were 11 people spread across 3 vehicles and accomplished guides, Jason, Paul and Gert.
I was very pleased with my choice to go “glamping”as I wanted to immerse myself in the environment. The places we stayed certainly did give that true experience. All the different overnight stops were different and I found it suitably paced. I knew we would have to have some long drives on some rough roads.
Wolverton station which was rebuilding after being battered in the last cycle was great.I so enjoyed a swim and kayak at this beautiful spot.
Rossville where we had a walk and discussion with the very knowledgeable indigenous elder “Mooks”.
Bramwell station where we had an evening of live entertainment.
A relaxing two nights at The Green Hoose set in a beautiful lush garden setting in The Iron Range National Park and nearby Chilli beach.
A fabulous beach where we strolled explored and collected shells.The Fruit Bat Falls were a stand out highlight as we were able to swim here under the waterfall.
Many river crossing, some with Ferries, some we just drove through.
The Old Telegraph track was certainly fascinating to actually see how rough it was but certainly glad we didn’t use it to get to the top end.
Up to the top at Bamaga and the walk to “The Tip” was another highlight The whole journey itself really highlighted the vastness, diverse range of ever changing landscapes and the isolation of the far north.
Another highlight was going by boat, with our very capable friendly guide Paul, to the Island retreat at “Roko Island Resort.”
Then I was thrilled to be able do the ferry across to the very relaxed Thursday Island. We had comfortable accommodation and a very informative tour including interesting war history.
Then back on the mainland for the homeward trip back .
Beautiful Punsand Bay had superb facilities right on the beach and very well maintained and set up in cabins.
Weipa a big mining town was interesting to see but was not a highlight.
Whereas Fairview Station, a huge working cattle station in a beautiful garden setting, with lots of birds and good meals was excellent.
Returning to Cape Tribulation “Ferntree Rainforest Lodge”again for the last night was like a coming home as it was familiar, very comfortable with the pool and an excellent dinner with Jason and Paul. Thanks so much guys !

We had an excellent 5 day Best of Far North Queensland tour. The arrangements and planning was excellent but its magic was largely thanks to our incredibly knowledgeable and adaptable guide who went out of his way to give us an extraordinary experience, teaching us local lore and enabling us to try so many of the things that make Australia special. This included a night walk in the world oldest rainforest, ancient rock art and spotting amazing animals (a particular skill of our guide) including a spider only just identified by science, a tree kangaroo, wallabies and kangaroos and the highlight of 3 sugar gliders, including one gliding in the wild (our guide excitement was infectious)!). We felt looked after from start to finish.

We had comfortable and spotless accommodation with good breakfasts and the other meals were well chosen for our group and tastes (including our teenage daughter). Our guide was particularly good at ensuring our daughter was engaged and if she needed some down time on the drives she got it. She has been really inspired by all the animals and environments we experienced. We also really appreciated how flexible he was, building in our interests as we went. His unique knowledge and relationships built up over years ensure this was the highlight of our 5-week trip away.

Gerd was an amazing knowledgeable guide, the 9 hours trip up Cooktown a pure delight. The private guided tour is highly recommendable due to it was tailor made to our needs as well as interests.

Trip of a lifetime to Cape York 10 day premium trek What a great adventure! Our three guides, Jason, Paul and Gert, certainly made it a trip to remember. They were experts in their fields and very professional. They took us to places we would never have found if we had done the trip solo. Their local knowledge was exceptional. The actual trip was very well organised and we had a fantastic time. We were in a party of eleven and made some wonderful new friendships. We would wholeheartedly recommend doing this trip. Private daintree tour We had a fantastic private daintree tour with Kane. He gave us a lot of information and made sure that every minute in the tour was spent usefully. We would book again immediately.

Underdivered Cape York Trip 12 DAY PREMIUM CAPE YORK TOUR
Be very wary of this Company they over promise and underdeliver. They expected and did squeeze 10 guests and 2 drivers into a Toyota 79 series and a 300 series expecting people to travel in the kiddy seats in the boot with their knees up around their ears for about 1,700km. We were people in our late 60's, 70's and 80's who had paid for a PREMIUM Trip not to travel squashed in like sardines. Most accommodation was very good but one was far from acceptable. Food was good. Guide/drivers were excellent but unappreciated by management. Admin is handled from overseas so time difference created lots of issues. Make sure you check every detail before committing to a Cape York trip with Far North Escapes.

A Great Tour Soured by Poor Management Attitude and Undisclosed and Misleading Information My husband and I have just returned from a Far North Escapes small group 10-day 4WD Premium Cape York tour which we booked directly with the company. On this occasion what should have and could have been an outstanding 5-star experience in an amazing part of our own country was badly soured by a very disappointing attitude and response by the main office representative and some poor decisions and undisclosed/misleading information by management in its marketing of the tour. When several members of the tour group raised some real concerns about specific aspects of the tour with the company right from the very first day they failed to address these. In a nutshell the company overpromised and underdelivered on some key aspects of the tour. The marketing of the tour highlighted it as small group (maximum of 10), premium, luxury and comfort. This was something that really appealed to us but the company failed to deliver on. One thing that truly surprised us was that they had combined guests who had booked the “Premium” tour with guests who had booked the “Safari” tour on the same trip. Failure to disclose this information was truly misleading on the part of the company as there was a substantial price difference between the two tour options but negligible differences in what was actually provided to the two different groups during the trip. All guests were in the same vehicles, received all the same meals, stayed mostly in the same accommodation venues with a couple of exceptions and went to the same places together with the same guides. At one venue, some Safari guests were allocated what we were told was the Premium accommodation to stay in while some Premium guests were given the Safari accommodation. It left us wondering what extra value we were getting for paying some $1100pp more for our tour. It is our understanding that this was the first time the company had actually combined the two groups like this leaving a sour taste in the mouths of those who had paid substantially more.
The good bits of the trip –
Places visited in the itinerary: These were great especially when we were able to go “off the beaten track” (rating 4-5 star overall). It appeared however that some guests received different itineraries to others even though we had booked the same tour. Our itinerary never showed a visit to Roko Island with an optional fishing excursion. Apparently this was a new addition to the itinerary but didn't appear in any documents we received. Personally, I found little to do in the time spent there. My husband (along with 2-3 other guests) however was keen to do the optional fishing trip once he heard about it but some incorrect or miscommunication between the FNE tour company and the fishing excursion operator resulted in this being cancelled. This caused huge disappointment amongst some guests and left the Premium guests hanging around on the island with little to do until it was time to get the boat back to the mainland.
Guides – our 2 guides Jason and Paul were outstanding. Very professional, knowledgeable about the places visited and the flora and fauna, flexible to guests’ requests, experienced 4WD drivers and fun in the way they conducted the tour and excursions. The only thing we would have liked changed here would be starting each day a bit earlier so there was more time to get through each day’s itinerary and spend a bit more time at the top attractions along the way or doing some longer trail walks at some locations. Some days were very tight in terms of not having enough time to enjoy the different places or even not being able to fit in some of the listed activities or stops while other days offered not much to hold our interest for the full length of the stay (rating 5 star overall).
Accommodation: Most of the accommodation was very comfortable and either met or exceeded our expectations of being premium and comfortable. For outback locations I’d rate most accommodation venues as 4 or 5 out of 5. One major exception was the so-called “Authentic Outback Glamping and Bird Haven” at Wolverton Station. I’d rate this as a 1-star basic camping experience where the ablution block was a galvanized metal shed that was not only dirty but when I tried to have an early morning shower so other guests could get theirs done in time to leave there was no water as the generator wasn’t operating. The donga accommodation at Bramwell Station was also very tight with the double bed pushed up against the wall making it difficult to get out of during the night (2-3 star rating).
Meals: Again meals at the majority of places were great to exceptional (mostly 4-5 star rating). The only exception was at Bramwell where it was very regimented in the way mealtime was conducted and the food wasn’t that great. The breakfast provided was very underwhelming with a pretty small serving for anyone who had a reasonable appetite (rating 2 star). Some great live entertainment provided in the evening at Bramwell however helped to stave off the disappointment here.
The souring aspects of the tour:
Transport: We had the full contingent of 10 people on the tour plus 2 tour guides and although the final itinerary showed 3 luxury 4WD vehicles the company only provided 2 vehicles (a 4-seater and a 6-seater) one of which had very limited baggage space resulting in very crammed travelling conditions that were far from comfortable. Some backpacks even needed to be placed at our feet in this vehicle making conditions even more crammed. This was especially concerning seeing that most members of the group were seniors and some had mobility issues that limited where in the vehicles they could sit making the claim of regular seat rotation untenable for all guests. Despite major concerns about the cramped conditions being raised by several group members with the company on the first day they refused to address this matter. While the itinerary stated that the company has the right to substitute vehicles it fails to say it may reduce the number of vehicles provided even if there are the maximum 10 guests on the tour. So much for their stated claim of “customer support for peace of mind” on their website.
Company communication: Prior to the tour there was quite good communication between the company office and us but once on tour the company representative failed to consider and address any concerns raised. Even though some members of the group communicated their concerns either through phone calls or email, these were not acted upon. I even found the response I received to an email I sent insulting and condescending suggesting that I had a misconception of what the terms “premium”, “luxury” and “comfort” mean and that I was overlooking the fact that we were travelling in the outback. This management attitude really took the polish off the great aspects of the trip. My husband and I are highly experienced travelers who over the past 50+ years have not only undertaken a wide variety of tour types around the world and in Australia including adventure tours like this one, but we have both previously lived in outback areas of Australia so have a pretty good understanding of what to expect according to the type of trip we choose to undertake.
Would I recommend this company to others? Not unless they picked up their game and genuinely listened to and were prepared to address guest concerns if and as raised with them. It doesn’t help that I believe they are the only company that provides truly small group tours in this part of Australia, especially if you don’t enjoy going “cattle class” or go more off the beaten track. Just be aware that the review ratings on Google and Trip Advisor predominantly relate to day trips across a wide number of locations in the region or very short tours.

Cape York and Atherton Tablelands I just returned from the 12 day cape York and Atherton tablelands tour.
The tour was wonderful and we experienced interesting, adventurous and some simply beautiful places. The guides, Jason and Paul were absolutely amazing and nothing was too much for them to please everybody and Jason’s knowledge about places, history, landmarks, flora and fauna was endless.

Accomodation ranged from tents, glamping, dongas to hotel rooms and private accomodation and apart from Wolverton station, which was a basic tent with a bed, all was very comfortable and mostly with ensuite bath rooms. Food was plentiful and ranged from good to outstanding.

However, the seating arrangements for 10 passengers plus 2 guides in only two cars was not ideal to say the least. 7 people in a landcruiser 300 series with 2 in the “boot”on children’s sized seats. We are talking about people in their 60’s, 70’s and 80’s, some with mobility issues. The landcruiser 79 series had 3 people squashed on the back seat and it was certainly not comfortable.
Far North would be well advised to add a 3rd vehicle or invest in a 4 wd bus for these longer trips.

A couple of destinations in the itinerary had to be left out as there simply wasn’t enough time in the day to include them.

All in all a memorable trip with some amazing highlights, but transport issue needs to be addressed.

We went on the Daintree Rainforest Night Walk Tour and had a fantastic time. Our guide Jason was amazing, you could tell he was very passionate about the rainforest and all its creatures and we learnt a lot from him. I couldn’t believe how much the forest lit up under the light of a UV flashlight! Amazing and would recommend!

Night walk Highly recommend. One of the highlights of our trip. Jason was very personable, funny, knowledgeable. He made everyone feel very welcome, even with a large group, he made sure to engage with everyone.

Nocturnal magic Amazing experience. It’s not so much about seeing the forest but feeling the forest. The guide was incredible. So passionate and knowledgeable. Highly recommended if you’re ever in this beautiful part of the world

My family and I were lucky to go on the Night Walk with Kane as our guide. Kane is an absolute beauty and a Daintree local. He started the tour well with some history of the area and the people who shaped it to what it is today. He acknowledged the good and the bad of it, and gave a good baseline for the hike for the evening. The hike started well, with our shoe-less guide taking us to the trail and encouraging us to work with as little lights as possible and to truly listen to the forest around us. He was amazing with the group and our two kids, 9 and 11. He answered all questions, showed us some incredible wildlife and truly appreciated the natural world. He was honest, engaging and clearly cared for what he taught. I would recommend Kane to everyone. The guy made this our most memorable experience of our two week Australian adventure, a long hike from Canada! Give that man a raise!

Unforgettable night time experience in the Daintree We booked a night walk with Far North Escapes, and despite the weather doing its best to dampen the evening — heavy rain for roughly the first third of the tour — we loved every minute of it. Ponchos were handed out at the start, so we were well looked after.

Our guide was Jason, and he is, quite simply, exceptional. His passion for the Daintree — for its conservation, its flora, its fauna, and all the extraordinary little creatures that call it home — is completely infectious. You can tell immediately that this isn't just a job for him. He was bursting with knowledge and enthusiasm, sharing fascinating detail about plants and animals that we would have walked straight past without ever noticing.

One of the highlights of the evening was the UV light Jason brought along. Seeing plants and critters illuminated in ultraviolet was truly amazing!

The only thing we regret is not having more time for our stay in the Daintree. If our stay had been longer, a daytime walk with Jason would have been at the top of the list.

Highly, highly recommended.

Recommend it Went on the night walk at Cape Tribulation. Originally I was booked for 7 pm but they called me and offered a later tour with fewer people. I agreed and I'm so glad, as we were only 3 people - almost like a private tour (I'm a solo traveller).
Jason the guide rocked up barefoot and I could feel how enthusiastic and passionate he is about the rainforest - awesome!
We unfortunately didn't see any bigger or exotic animals, but lots of little critters and had some UV light action going on. ;)
I would do it again next time I'm up there.

Cape Tribulation night walk Excellent night walk. Cain was a superb guide, his knowledge was astounding about the area. I would thoroughly recommend the night walk with him it was fantastic a highlight of our trip.

We had two tours with Far North Escapes, a night Rainforest Walk and a half day 4WD Bloomfield Track. Both experiences were fantastic, booking was easy and the communication was fantastic. Kane our tour guide was a wealth of knowledge and made both our tours that extra bit special. Thanks for a top time Kane, we will definately come back to Far North Escapes next time we are in Cape Trib

Awesome Guided hike we all thoroughly enjoyed the guided night walk. Our guide was very knowledgeable, we saw lots of insects, spiders, frogs and learnt a lot about the plants and animals of the rainforest.

highly recommend Cain is such an excellent guide! I really appreciated his respect of the Kuku Yalanji and the way he incorporated that in to the tour. He was so enthusiastic and knowledgable. Can't recommend enough! We were booked for 1.5 hours and we saw so much we kept going for nearly 3 (which Cain checked in with us about and we were all really happy to keep going longer)

Must do (even in the rain) We did the Daintree Rainforest Nightwalk Tour and boy am I glad we did. It ended up pouring, but that only added to the magic of being in such an ancient and beautiful place at night. We saw so many different kinds of frogs, peppermint stick insects, green ants, scorpions etc. We also got to learn more about the history of the people who historically call the place home and some of the uses they had for certain plants and animals.

Our guide was incredibly passionate about the rainforest and very talented at spotting animals in the middle of the pouring rain at night. He was so in touch with the place that he gave the entire walk barefoot. He highlighted the main thing he wanted us to take away is that we’re losing our rainforest and that’s an absolute shame. I’d recommend this tour to everyone.

Did the night walking tour. A very enriching, fun, deeply interesting experience with the outstanding local guide, Kane. His personalisation of the tour was extremely impressive alongside deep knowledge and expansive and expressive description of everything from conservation through to frog species (including making the animal noises) and back to his childhood in the area. Highly recommended if not essential when staying in the Daintree

Two tours of the Daintree rainforest with Far North Escapes We took two tours of the Daintree rainforest with Far North Escapes, that were packaged together with our two-night lodging at the Ferntree Rainforest Hotel. Our guide for both tours was Kane, a local resident who is incredibly knowledgeable about the area and passionately devoted to the rainforest ecosystem. Last night we took a night walk, mostly in the rain, that lasted about 2-1/2 hours. There were about 14 participants, and we all got thoroughly wet. We saw a great diversity of nocturnal wildlife: several kinds of spiders, a walking stick, peppermint stick insects, scorpions, bioluminescent fungi, fireflies, a kangaroo rat, and several white-lipped green tree frogs, among others. We also saw two sleepy diurnal animals: a large dragonfly and a beautiful blue kingfisher. This afternoon we took a half-day 4x4 tour northward from Cape Tribulation. Despite predictions of rain all day, we remained dry. We looked for wildlife, but we didn't see much: some nice butterflies and some cassowary poop, for example. We saw many interesting trees and other plants, and ended our northward drive at a fabulous waterfall on the Bloomfield River. These tours gave us a great experience in the Daintree rainforest and complemented our urban and marine experiences farther south in northern Queensland.

Worth the rainy walk We went in the rainy session and had a shower. Raincoats provided. However you meget get cooked inside. Many chose to get a little wet. Our guide made it a succes i the rain and made everyone enjoy his knowledge. We were very happy with the tour. For us it was insects to be spotted at night but worthwhile. A little too many People, and we would have loved to watch more animals.

Had an awesome time on this night walk a few days ago. Even with the rain coming down, the tour ran really smoothly. Our guide was genuinely passionate and it showed the whole way through. loads of energy, great stories, and you could tell he truly loves what he does. We learned a lot and he was super open to questions. He also did a great job tailoring things to the group, making sure everyone was included and comfortable. Honestly, a fun, fascinating experience — highly recommend if you’re in the area!

We did the Daintree Rainforest Night Walk Tour. Amazing experience! We enjoyed the sounds, trees, plants, and animals of the rainforest at night. We did the walk as a family, with our 4 year old in a baby carrier. All the walking trails were easy to walk en we felt safe.

We would never have explored it that way on our own, so it was fantastic to have a guide and learn more about the wildlife and the forest. It was also very special to see the plants and insects under UV light. Beautiful!

We are so glad we did this tour! Our guide, Jason, was amazing! We didn't stay another night, otherwise we would definitely have gone again. With a guide like Jason every walk will be amazing!

Kane made our night rainforest walk unforgettable.
I have never met a guide who treats his place with such passion, love and gentleness. He showed us plants that change colour, trees and mushrooms glowing in the dark, insects and animals that seemed to appear from another world. The entire walk felt magical.

Kane walked barefoot the whole time, and it added something I didn’t expect. It made the forest feel alive and safe. It made our group feel protected, as if we were following someone who truly belongs to this land.

I enjoyed every minute. At moments it felt like stepping into Avatar, as if I had suddenly found myself on another planet. At other times it was like walking through Ray Bradbury’s “A Sound of Thunder”, and I could almost feel myself travelling a hundred million years into the past.
Thank you, Kane. This night will stay with me for a long time.

Great rainforest adventure. The nightwalk in the Daintree yesterday evening (Nov 28th.) was exceptionally good. We started from Ferntree Lodge and walked for the best part of two hours. It was fascinating. Kane, the guide, was very knowledgeable and he shared his knowledge and enthusiasm in a genial and amiable way.

We went on the night walk with Kane as our guide and it was absolutely fabulous! He was incredibly knowledgeable about and familiar with the plants ,birds, animals, and insects in the rainforest. .It was just excellent- educational interesting and fun throughout! We highly recommended it! to anyone interested in learning more about the rainforest and its nocturnal creatures.

A fabulous night walk in the rainforest. We went on the night walk with Kane as our guide and it was absolutely fabulous! He was incredibly knowledgeable about and familiar with the plants ,birds, animals, and insects in the rainforest. .It was just excellent- educational interesting and fun throughout! Rainforest night walk with an expert Shane, Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the flora and fauna. He highlighted things eg lichen spider that we would not have seen without his guidance. His use of an ultraviolet torch to slow us bioluminescence in some plants and fungi was one of the highlights. The tour was not rushed and there was plenty of time for each person to view highlighted plants and animals and all questions.

A great day out with lots of history and events to cover Wanted to experience a bit more than a basic Daintree tour so booked, for partner and myself, the 1 day private tour to Cooktown out of Port Douglas. It was a great day with so much to see we couldn’t fit all the expected stops in. We gave Jason guidance to show us the highlights and were not let down. He’s a very knowledgeable and personable guide who really enjoys his work and gives honest non sugar coated views about events and life in the area. The trip included the Daintree ferry, Bloomfield track, Wujal falls, Lions Den hotel (for a coldie) and a pub lunch and look around Cooktown. I’d would certainly consider FNE again if planning tour on the Cape or around Cairns. Jason gave us a great insight on what to expect on some of the longer tours up to Cape York.

Only a half day tour, but we had a great time going up the Bloomfield track. Kane was a super friendly and knowledgeable guide with a clear passion for the nature, lifestyle, and peoples of the area. No hesitation in recommending. We would have liked to do the night tour too, but fully booked! Next time.

Wildlife to see that you’d just normally walk past Interesting tour and saw lots I never would’ve seen on my own, including peppermint stick insects, forest frog, and a huge golden orb weaving spider. The uv light showed fluorescent fungi, scorpions, and burgundy red leaves that were green in normal light. Unfortunately it was too dry for a lot of the more popular wildlife to be seen. The tour guide is a character though and takes a bit of getting used to. He is definitely dedicated to saving the unique and biodiverse wet tropics forest ecosystem.

Disappointing Tour Needs Improvement We are always a little reluctant to give poor reviews, but think it’s necessary in this case in the hopes of giving useful advice to other travelers. This tour was disappointing and needs improvement in two respects. First, the group size is too big. Most of this tour is a night-time walk on the Dubuji Boardwalk. There were 14 people on our tour (plus the guide), so the group had to spread out in a loose line to stay on the boardwalk. The result was that the people in the back couldn’t hear the guide at times, and vice versa. This also meant that some people didn’t see some interesting animals (eels, crocs) that were scared away by the tourists at the front of the group. This then sets up a somewhat unpleasant dynamic among the tourists in the group, with some people pressing past others on the boardwalk in an effort not to miss a glimpse of something interesting. We recognize that the description of the tour clearly states that the group size is capped at 15, and we don’t feel misled. We just were disappointed with the quality that results from that size. The second aspect of the tour that needs improvement is the training for the guides. Our guide was fine, but we were not particularly impressed with his knowledge of the ecosystem. He didn’t provide information much beyond the basic facts from the plaques along the boardwalk (which we had read during the day). We would have loved to hear more about the different ways that the plants and animals in the rainforest interact with each other. A personal experience of the gems and spirit of the rainforest We went into the national park, on boardwalk, with our guide Ken at night. The night time experience is a must, it allows one to spotlight the different flora and fauna which is easily missed during the day. I appreciated the passion of our guide to sharing his genuine love of the forest and his commitment to preserving this for the future. Cyclone Jasper did result in a reduction in the animal life, but it is making a comeback. I would recommend this experience. We drove back to Cairns that night which is possible but a very long and tiring day!

Awesome Night Walk in the Rainforest Thank you Kane for the beautiful guided walk through the rainforest. It is heart touching to meet someone so passionate and connected to the forest and all her creatures, insects and trees and willing to share all. My 10 year old boy had the time of his life, he just loved it! An Awesome Memory that will stay with us all our life. Thank you so much

Night tour is great to watch wildlife. For tourists it’s close to impossible to spot animals in the rainforest. But with the help of an experienced guide we managed to find flying foxes, snakes, geckos, scorpions, spiders, peppermints, crabs and even a 1.5m+ female crocodile. The group size is small so everyone has their chance to see those animals.
I would highly recommend all visitors to the Daintree to go for a night tour!

A truly amazing experience ! We had the chance to have Kane as our guide for the night tour trough the Daintree Forest. Passionated and knowing everything about anything, the tour was phenomenal. We had the chance to see multiple animals but also learnt about the history of the forest, insects, plants living there and aboriginal history.

If you’re coming at Cape Trib, do not even miss this tour, it’s a must-do !

Not what I expected and not worth it. Could have done the same tour from the back of my tent in the caravan park just up the road. All I needed was a good torch.
Our guide tried hard and got a second star, she was very enthusiastic and helpful and good at making spiders and crickets sound interesting.
Three young kids under 10 from one family didn’t make the experience any better the youngest got very tired about 1/2 way through.
If you like looking at spiders and crickets and the odd bit of glowing fungi then this is the trip for you.

Did manage to glimpse the eyes of a small croc near the end but all in all a very disappointing noisy boardwalk night walk.

I think the best tour of my life, for real! Words can’t begin to describe how magic and enriching this experience was. Our guide, Kane, was super knowledgeable, entertaining and kind. You have to try to believe it, also because the tour will be different night to night, according to nature’s conditions.
I can just tell you that by the end of it, I was comfortable walking in the forest in the dark (right, it was full moon) and just feeling and observing the wonders of this forest. Thank you Kane!

Nightwalk on Dubuji Boardwalk Magical evening walking through the forest, guided by the singular Cain. His passion for nature and the native peoples who first inhabited the area is infectious. We saw many creatures with both a flashlight and ultraviolet lights -- very cool.

Wonderful Trip We enjoyed this experience. Paul, our driver, was fantastic. He was knowledgeable about the area and was a great driver. When things didn't quite go to plan, he was usually able to sort most things. There are some things that could be improved such as having some snacks and water on board, especially when the itinerary is changed and travel times change. Overall, the accommodation was satisfactory and the places we stopped for meals were generally very good. We also had a lovely group of people to travel with which made our trip even more enjoyable.

The 5 Day Dash down Cape York was an action packed adventure from the flight to Horn Island .A tour of Thursday Island and a night there was packed with history and present day life on this gem of a spot. A ferry trip to Seisia, on the mainland we met our host ,tour guide Paul. With an amazing bunch of Aussies we were off to the Tip .Getting used to Red dust , and rutted corrugated dirt roads. Weipa was a highlight as were the Roadhouse stops on our journey down the famous Telegraph track ! The remote country, distances gives an appreciation of wild unspoiled Cape York. Loved every day, if you like adventure and getting off the beaten track away from the hordes, this is the trip for you..even the more in depth 12 day option would be amazing!

Bushwalking I've never experienced before! The forest night walk was great! I learnt so much about our amazing spiders, insects and plants. It was fun wandering along with my own torch and seeing the forest through the eyes of an experienced guide. Doing this activity on the first night raised my expectation for the rest of the tour.t

The 7-late night walk was a magical and awe-inspiring experience. The guide (Kane) exuded a passion for the forest and everything in and around it (including the people, culture, history, animals, plants etc etc). Best experience ever! We didn’t manage to spot all the ‘big’ animals, but Kane opened up a whole new world of tiny creatures and flora. Awesome Night Walk in Daintree Rainforest! This ranks up there with one of the best rainforest walks we have taken. The host was extremely well informed, knowledgeable about the forests of Australia, and engaging. He shared his strong passion for the animals, bugs, and snakes of the local area. Besides all of this, he has a sense of humor! Our 1.5 hour scheduled tour turned out to last well past the 2 hr mark, which was fine with us since we had a small group of enthusiasts. If we return to Australia, we will definitely take this tour again.
