Day 1: Cairns to Port Douglas


Begin your journey with a transfer from Cairns and a warm welcome from a Traditional Owner. Experience a traditional smoking ceremony before embarking on an afternoon sunset cruise to get to know your fellow travellers.


Day 2: Port Douglas to Yindilli on Buru Country


Start your day with breakfast on Cooya Beach before learning about the saltwater customs of the Kuku Yalanji people. Visit Mossman Gorge, Whyanbeel stone tool making ground, and Rocky Point to see remnants of fish traps.


Enjoy lunch in Daintree Village before crossing the Daintree River. In the afternoon, explore the Lower Daintree, head north of Cape Tribulation to Wujal Wujal, and make your way up the Creb Track to Yindilli Glamping Retreat and Campground.


Day 3: Yindilli


Spend the day at Yindilli on Burunku Aboriginal Land and join CJ on a rainforest and stories walk. Visit Roaring Meg Falls and other culturally significant sites. Stay in glamping tents and participate in artifact making or weaving practices. Enjoy free time to relax or swim in the local creek and make traditional damper.


Day 4: Yindilli to Cooktown


Depart Yindilli in the afternoon and head north to Cooktown. See culturally significant sites along the way, including the Black Mountain lookout. Enjoy a BBQ dinner on the waterfront in Cooktown.


Day 5: Cooktown to Port Douglas


Spend the morning in Cooktown learning about the history of colonization. Travel back through Western Kuku Yalanji Country, passing through Lakeland and returning to Port Douglas by approximately 5:00 PM.

YINDILLI TOURING – TERMS & CONDITIONS Wawu Bubu – Spirit of Country 5‑Day Cultural Journey (4 Nights / 5 Days) 1. General These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings made for the Yindilli Wawu Bubu – Spirit of Country 5‑Day Cultural Journey, operated by Yindilli Touring on Kuku Yalanji Country. By booking this tour, guests agree to all Terms & Conditions outlined below. 2. Booking & Payment A non‑refundable deposit of 20% is required at the time of booking. Full payment is required 30 days prior to departure. Bookings made within 30 days of departure require full payment at the time of booking. All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST. Yindilli Touring reserves the right to adjust pricing; confirmed bookings will not be affected. 3. Confirmation A booking confirmation will be issued once payment is received. Guests must review all details and notify Yindilli Touring of any errors within 48 hours. Failure to check details does not constitute grounds for refund. 4. Cancellation Policy Guest Cancellations More than 30 days before departure: Deposit retained; balance refunded. 15–30 days before departure: 50% of total tour cost refunded. 14 days or less before departure: No refund. No‑show: No refund. Operator Cancellations Yindilli Touring may cancel or postpone the tour due to: Severe weather or unsafe environmental conditions Cultural obligations Minimum numbers not met Safety concerns Operational issues If Yindilli Touring cancels the tour: Guests receive a full refund, OR May transfer to another available departure date Yindilli Touring is not responsible for additional costs such as flights, accommodation, or third‑party bookings. 5. Minimum Numbers This tour requires a minimum of 6 guests to operate. If minimum numbers are not met, Yindilli Touring may: Offer a rescheduled departure Offer a private group rate Provide a full refund 6. Fitness, Health & Participation Requirements This is an active, multi‑day cultural experience involving walking, uneven terrain, outdoor environments, and variable weather. Guests must: Have a moderate level of fitness Be able to walk on uneven ground Disclose any medical conditions that may affect participation Carry personal medication (e.g., asthma inhalers, EpiPens) Yindilli Touring reserves the right to refuse participation if a guest’s condition poses a safety risk. 7. Safety Guests must follow all guide instructions at all times. The tour operates in natural environments including rainforest, rivers, beaches, and remote areas. Swimming is only permitted when the guide deems conditions safe. Yindilli Touring accepts no liability for injuries resulting from failure to follow instructions or unsafe behaviour. 8. Cultural Respect This tour takes place on culturally significant Kuku Yalanji Country. Guests must: Respect cultural protocols and restricted areas Follow guidance from Traditional Owners Avoid photographing sensitive cultural sites when instructed Not record or share cultural knowledge without permission Failure to follow cultural protocols may result in removal from the tour without refund. 9. Accommodation & Facilities Accommodation may include cabins, eco‑lodges, or campground facilities depending on itinerary. Guests must respect shared spaces and follow all site rules. Yindilli Touring is not responsible for loss or damage to personal items in accommodation areas. 10. Meals & Dietary Requirements All meals from Day 1 dinner to Day 5 breakfast are included. Guests must advise dietary requirements at least 14 days prior to departure. Yindilli Touring will make reasonable efforts to accommodate dietary needs but cannot guarantee all requests in remote locations. 11. Transport All transport during the tour is included. Pickup and drop‑off locations will be confirmed prior to departure. Guests must be ready at the designated time; delays may shorten the itinerary. 12. Itinerary Changes The itinerary may change due to: Weather Cultural obligations Seasonal conditions Safety considerations Road closures Environmental factors These changes do not constitute grounds for refunds. 13. Personal Property Guests are responsible for their own belongings at all times. Yindilli Touring accepts no liability for lost, stolen, or damaged items. Secure storage may be limited in remote areas. 14. Liability Yindilli Touring is not liable for: Injury, illness, loss, damage, or delay Weather or natural events Wildlife encounters Road conditions Third‑party operators Failure to follow guide instructions Guests participate at their own risk. Yindilli Touring’s liability is limited to the value of the tour purchased. 15. Travel Insurance Travel insurance is strongly recommended for multi‑day tours. Insurance should cover cancellation, medical expenses, evacuation, and lost property. Yindilli Touring does not provide insurance for guests. 16. Photography & Media Guests may take photos unless advised otherwise. Commercial photography requires written permission. Yindilli Touring may take photos during the tour for promotional use unless guests request otherwise. 17. Privacy Personal information is used only for booking, safety, and communication. Information will not be shared with third parties except where required by law. 18. Governing Law These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes will be handled under Queensland jurisdiction.
