Fantastic Big Day Out Great day out and we had a great experience with Jason. Very personable and professional company. Went to 4 wineries on the route which were fantastic, particularly loved Riversdale Estate - the tasting and particularly talking with Reinier was brilliant. Definitely recommend these guys highly.

Definitely book Jason was an unbelievable guide for my partner and I. We had such a fantastic time going from winery to winery, we had a small group that day so we were even able to experience more wineries than we booked. Such a good day!

Great fun being driven around trying great wines The Wine Hopper tour was great fun. The guide was knowledgable and vey friendly, was happy to make recommendations of what to see and do. The wineries were great and welcoming. Highly recommend doing this group tour whilst in Hobart.

This was the worst Wine tour ever experienced. I’ve never been on a wine tasting tour, where you had to pay for the wine Worst wine tour ever! What did we pay for? A wine tasting tour should include the price of the wine tasting.
We pay $15 at each winery and after six wineries the price is exorbitant

Brilliant relaxed day The wine hopper is an excellent affordable option when exploring the coal river vineyards. Our guide Bill was amazing. He collected us and drop us to multiple wineries with no fuss at all. Highly recommend to anyone looking to relax and see this beautiful place.

Laid-back, flexible wine tour with great vibes We had a great day on the Coal River Wine Hopper and would definitely recommend it if you’re after a relaxed, no-stress way to visit the coal river with a minor wineries distilleries and Richmond town. The tour has a laid-back vibe and the driver was flexible and happy to fit in with everyone’s schedule as much as possible, which made the day feel easy and enjoyable.

The only downside was that a bit more information upfront would have been helpful — specifically which wineries the tour stops at and where guests should make bookings for tastings and lunch. Once you’re on board it all works out, but clearer guidance beforehand would make the experience even smoother.

Overall, a really fun day and a great option for wine lovers who don’t want to rush.

Coal River Wineries A very relaxing day calling into various wineries of our choice, made even better by Mark’s fun & flexible attitude.

Fantastic A highlight of the holiday. It was like a personalised tour with the freedom to visit the wineries of choice. The guide was attentive yet super cruisy. The wineries, wines and scenery were spectacular. A really enjoyable experience!

Coal River winery Hopper tour experience Fabulous tour. Bus driver very accommodating and friendly. Lovely winery options with information provided for food options. Highly recommend this tour.

Perfect way to see Coal River Valley The Wine Hopper was the perfect way to explore Tassie’s Coal River Valley. The whole day felt relaxed, flexible and really well run.

Being able to enjoy the wine without worrying about driving made the day even better. Such a fun, easy and social way to explore the area.

Fantastic flexible and fun This looked like a good trip on paper, it was even better in person. Bill our driver was so flexible and made sure we all got the most out of the day. Ended up visiting more wineries than planned and had a brilliant time

Fantastic Day Had the best day touring around some fabulous wineries. Riverdale estate winery was our favorite. Mark our host was fantastic and went out of his way to make us all have a fantastic day.

Weekend Wine Tour What a great day! We met the bus at the Tasmanian Travel and Information Centre car park. The first couples got off at Cole River Valley and we started at Riversdale. We enjoyed a tasting which finished in time for the bus to pick us up in an hour. Next stop Puddleduck. We had a wander around Richmond. A tasting at Pooleys and finished off at Caledon! We were dropped off at the Mornington Inn. Killara and Sullivans Cove were closed for private functions. The timetable was not the same as published but we had an hour at each venue. Would definitely do it again and highly recommend.

Flexibility of choosing your stops was great. Full day tour but not an early start which was great. The ability to choose which stops to visits and how long (within the timetable) at each was also good. Recommend that you do your research on the stop options as you’ll be limited as to how many you can fit in. It also helps to book lunch/tasting in peak season. The tour company were great with their comms to help get the most of the day.
If you like a tour where everything is organised for you and you don’t have to do much thinking then this might not be the one for you.

What a fantastic day What a fantastic day visiting the wineries on sunny day.
We are locals and love hitting our Richmond wineries but unfortunately someone always has to do the driving duties.

Not with the Wine Hopper!
We visited 4 wineries starting with Craigow as we hadn’t visited before. What awn experience, Barry the host was amazing sitting with us telling use stories about his beautiful wines.
Definitely worth stopping here. The next stop Riversdale Estate, live music great venue and some great wines, every man, Pooleys and a quick visit to Richmond to finish the day.

We had a great bunch of people on the bus who all got on so well, probably thanks to Alex our driver who was informative, friendly and funny who also played us some great tunes to sing to.

I would definitely recommend this as a tourist or a local to visit our local beautiful vineyards. Thanks guys for an amazing day! We will be back soon with more friends.

A great way to sample some of Tasmania’s finest wines Not only did we get to sample some of tassie’s finest wines we got to experience the beautiful village of Richmond, plus learn about the old and new history of Tasmania, thanks to our knowledgeable guide Alex.

Brilliant experience! The perfect weekend activity!! It was great to be able to hop on/off at multiple locations during the day and enjoy a few tastings. It’s a great service if you’re looking to explore the wine regions without the inconvenience of having to drive.

Timings on the schedule were accurate, and we also had a friendly, knowledgeable driver which made the experience even better would highly recommend!
