Tour Details

Times: 9:30am – 12:30pm (recommended), other times available on request. Early morning starts are recommended during warmer months.
Start Location: The Digital Tower in Yagan Square or central hotel pickup.
Finish Location: Barrack Square (conveniently close to major attractions and transport).
Duration: 2 to 3 hours of curated exploration.
Additional Guests: $70 per person for two hours, $80 per person for three hours.

The tour covers approximately 2km at a leisurely pace. While the standard route includes some stairs, we can easily adapt the path for wheelchairs and prams. Please let us know your requirements when booking. ♿

Meeting & Departure Information

Your guide will meet you in your CBD hotel lobby. Alternatively, you can choose to meet at the Digital Tower in Yagan Square. It is located on the corner of Wellington and William Street. It looks like a large LED screen with poles extending from the top.
Your friendly guide will be wearing a bright blue t-shirt. Please arrive at least 5 minutes early so that the tour can start promptly.
The tour will run for approx. 3 hours finishing at Barrack Square.

As there was only us and another Kiwi couple she was able to ask us what we were most interested in seeing and doing along the way and added in a few things especially for us. 

Her informative history of Perth, the buildings and the sights she showed us was amazing.

We loved the back alleys full of street art and the place we stopped for coffee and cakes was divine. 

We finished at a roof top bar/restaurant with wonderful views of the city. 

Ellen was most helpful to suggest plans for the rest of our visit to Perth with ideas of places and sights to see. Even advising what public transport routes we would need to use. 

We throughly enjoyed this tour and would highly recommend it to all Perth visitors

Excellent walking tour of Perth CBD. We had a fabulous morning exploring a range of sites with our wonderful guide, Ellen. She was so enthusiastic about the city and was full of great advice about cultural spots, restaurants and bars. The 3 hours just sped by and we didn’t feel too exhausted by the end thanks to lots of rest stops. Highly recommended for those, like us, who need an introduction to Perth.

What a fantastic tour! We only had a couple of hours free between meetings and booked at the last minute, but it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip to Perth.



Our guide, Alex, was absolutely outstanding. She brought the city to life with fascinating stories, local insights and a genuine passion for Perth that was completely infectious. Thanks to her, we saw and appreciated so much more of the city than we ever would have on our own.



Alex truly went above and beyond. Even though we were leaving the next day, she took the time to write out personalised recommendations for places to visit, eat and explore. She was incredibly patient with our endless questions and impressed us with her depth of knowledge on everything from the city’s history to its culture and hidden gems.



If you’re visiting Perth and want to get a real feel for the city, I couldn’t recommend this tour highly enough. Alex was exceptional and made our limited time in Perth memorable, engaging and genuinely enjoyable.

					We signed up for the Subi Blooms Sundowner Walking Tour and it was a most delightful experience. Our tour leader Amber was cheerful, friendly and very knowledgeable. She explained everything clearly, while ensuring it was interactive and light-hearted. The tour took around 90-mins and was conducted at an easy pace with lots of time to rest, view, and chat. 



Our enthusiastic guide (Adie) was excellent and provided lots of insights of the area. I particularly liked the reflection pools and the re-use of materials within the newly developed areas. Looking forward to trying an art walk in the future.

Definitely book with this mob. This is the second walking tour I have done with this group, and it continues to be absolutely top notch.  Adie is a great tour leader and I love her knowledge and vivacious personality.  She really makes these tours special!   This latest one was in Victoria Park (so big shout out to them, for making this tour affordable and accessible to everyone).   I was amazed at the huge number of street art pockets in VIC Park . So will look forward to going back and exploring this fabulous area more in my own time.

					A brilliant, brilliant walking tour with the effervescent Ellen!



The tour takes you around the city centre, showing you well known and not so well-known city sights and history.  Bearing in mind that Ellen (only 19 - a Perth native) has only been working as a tour guide since the beginning of the year, she was incredible. Full of knowledge and funny titbits of information about why the coat of arms figures look in a particular direction, where the name of an plasterer is hidden in London Court, and where some cartoon figures are hiding in an alley (I won't spoil it - do the tour with Ellen and find out). Also loads of city history as she explained the importance of the various buildings we stopped at.



Ellen was funny, informative, engaging and great company. We had a blast.



Ellen also explained that the tour company "OH HEY! WA" is a female owned and operated company, run by an enterprising young woman called Adie.  We  have done many walking tours all over the world, and this was definitely one of the most enjoyable.   Do yourself a favour and book a tour with them.

Our Bookclub took a private Street Art Tour. We had no idea there was so much incredible art tucked away in little laneways we’d never come across before! Amber was good fun, informative and knowledgeable about Perth’s history.  She also pointed out hidden details in familiar buildings/ public art that we’d never noticed before. We all agreed it was one of the best activities we’d done as a group. Highly recommend.

					Today we were delighted to do a lovely walking tour with the enthusiastic Ellen. Only 19 and this only her 3rd tour her knowledge was detailed and varied on a wide range of what makes Perth ‘Perth’.



As a dedicated local she was able to give us an insight into how Perth has changed over the years, including stories passed down 2 generations.



She gave us great idea for other places to visit, and included some extra time at the old courthouse at our request. Thank you Ellen for a wonderful morning!

					Adie was an absolute gem! So enthusiastic about her home town, which was reflected through the entire tour! We were shown some amazing spots, which without the local knowledge we would not have either seen nor considered looking at. Really enjoyed the tour, the pace, the coffee and the group. 					We signed up for a Discover Perth walking tour. Oh Hey WA tour guide Alex was outstanding this morning. Alex met us at Yagan Square and from there she opened up our eyes to the most fascinating things about Perth city. Her fun facts and knowledge demonstrated a passion for Perth history and art. 					We did the Discover Perth Walking Tour with Alex. She was AMAZING!!!  Perfectly paced with just the right amount of everything. Alex covered everything from history, street art, indigenous culture, fun facts/stories and her love for Perth. Alex was great about answering any and all questions. She also offered great hints and suggestions for activities and eateries. This is a perfect tour for anyone!!  It is just the right length, so you don't get tour fatigue and the distance covered is not excessive. So the tour is accessible for most.  We highly recommend this tour company and guide.

					We had the absolute best experience with Adie from Oh Hey WA. We have recently moved offices into the city and Adie carefully crafted a bespoke tour to help us settle into our new neighborhood. Adie created an engaging, informative, and incredibly fun tour that helped our whole team connect with Perth’s culture, history, and creativity in a fresh new way.



Her storytelling, energy, and deep knowledge of the city made every stop meaningful. We discovered hidden laneways, learned the stories behind iconic artworks, and visited some brilliant local businesses.

					Thanks so much Adie, it was a wonderful experience to do a walking tour with someone who is as passionate about Perth as you are. Thank you for all the highlights that you pointed out to us all the historic buildings the cafés, recommendations for restaurants. Some of the interesting questions you asked the group when we stopped to look at the Commonwealth Coat of Arms on the tour, about the kangaroo and the emu that can’t move backward, symbolizing progress and a ‘nation moving forward’, also the interesting question as to why the emu and kangaroo’s head is turned the other way!

					We booked a walking art and bar tour with Adie for my sister’s birthday and it was such a memorable experience! From the moment we met her, Adie’s warmth and sunny energy set the tone for the evening. She’s incredibly knowledgeable about Perth’s art, culture and hidden gems, but what really makes the tour special is her personality – she’s friendly, cheeky in the best way, and so much fun to be around. Adie has that perfect mix of being bubbly and entertaining while also making everyone feel comfortable and included. My sister and our whole group had the best time – I’d highly recommend Adie if you’re looking for a tour that’s equal parts fascinating, social and a little bit naughty!

It was fantastic! Adie was our guide for the afternoon. Adie has incredible knowledge of the artwork, artists and area. Went down alleyways full of art I would never normally go down. Along the way, we popped into some bars; again, there are some hidden gems you may not know are there. It was an amazing afternoon and highly recommend to locals and tourists alike.

					I did the Perth city tour with Oh Hey WA, with Lucy as the tour guide and it was such a great morning out for my first day in the city! Lucy was great and shared a bunch of information about everything we saw, made sure to include everyone and offered helpful info for everyone for where they wanted to go once the tour finished. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Perth.

It was very well paced; there was plenty of time to enjoy each experience without feeling rushed. 					We did the small bar and art tour last Saturday afternoon. We were fortunate enough to get a private tour for 12 people with the lovely,friendly guide, Alex.

Alex handled our initial enquiry and then did our tour with her wonderful energy and knowledge we were all blown away. Everyone on the tour really enjoyed it and most of us live in Perth. Highly recommend Alex for her professionalism and Oh Hey WA to everyone.

					Fantastic! I joined the Perth 3 hour tour today and have to say, it was gorgeous. Interesting, delightful, unique, loved the stories, hidden gems and history. Fun, and the time flew by. 					Thoroughly enjoyed this three hour walking tour on Sunday 17th August with Adie. So many interesting stories about the local architecture, gardens, sculptures and art. Adie is so energetic and positive about Perth with a effervescent personality. Leisurely pace with toilet and coffee breaks. This walking tour is a must.

					I recently went on a Walking Tour of Perth with Alex and had a wonderful day. Perth is a great city. Alex was a fantastic guide with tons of knowledge and just an absolute pleasure to spend a few hours with. Definitely recommend.
