Great people who were friendly, thoughtful and efficient. I gave my grandson a trip for his birthday. We weren't sure he would actually go. The lady running the trips (sorry can't remember your name) said don't pay yet lets just see if he'll go and then if he doesn't stay up there for the full 20 minutes then just pay for how long he stays up. Just about u heard of in this day and age. Just lovely people including Nathan the pilot. Happy to say my grandson said it was epic and is still talking about it. Amazing Experience, Must Do What an incredible experience. We were picked up directly from Kingfisher Bay Resort and arranged a personalised scenic trip around K'gari. We covered so much of the island, the southern lakes, 75 Mile Beach, Eli Creek, the Maheno shipwreck, Butterfly Lakes, Indian Head, and the Champagne Pools, flying over the dense rainforest and the varying ecosystems was absolutely amazing and added a completely different perspective to the experience. We stopped for lunch at Orchid Beach before continuing on over the Marloo wreck, up to Sandy Cape and the lighthouse, across the northern end of the island, and back via Platypus Bay, Moon Point, and Big Woody Island.

The wildlife we saw along the way was just incredible seeing all of this from the air gave us a completely unique perspective.

We can’t recommend Great Ocean Helicopters highly enough and will absolutely be booking with them again in the future.

We recently booked a private helicopter tour with Great Ocean Helicopters while staying at Kingfisher Bay Resort, and it was truly one of the most incredible experiences we’ve ever had.

From the very beginning, the booking process was seamless and easy. Aimee and Nathan were fantastic, friendly, professional, and clearly very experienced, which made us feel completely at ease from start to finish.

The day itself was unforgettable. We were picked up directly from Kingfisher Bay Resort and taken on an amazing journey across K’gari. This experience was the highlight of our trip. The combination of breathtaking scenery, abundant wildlife, made it a truly special day.

We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The view from in the air was amazing. I went up with my wife and two children and we were all treated like royalty. I wasn’t sure how the children would go. My four year-old had the time of his life. Aimee make sure everything was set to go and reassured the kids. The pilot Nathan was extremely knowledgeable of the surrounding area and the information he gave us whilst in the air was fantastic.
I would highly recommend this to anyone that wanted to get some spectacular photos and have some memories of a lifetime.

For my granddaughter's 11th birthday I decided to give her a memory and also tick off a thing I've never done before. We both were a bit scared as my granddaughter had never flown before and I've never been up on a helicopter before, the experience was absolutely magical. Aimee and Nathan our pilot for the day took us over Fraser Island aka K'Gari we saw the most magnificent scenic views from above Lake Mackenzie, Happy Valley and most of Fraser Island. Aimee and Nathan were absolutely amazing from the start to finish. Very accomodating and patient with my father who has mobility issues but they got him in the helicopter and he had a great time. Definitely coming back for more rides in the future

Nathan was beyond incredible while on the flight. He was professional but also very friendly and easy to talk to. Nathan was very informative on the flight and pointed out more locations than what was mentioned on the flight plan. Nathan went above and beyond to ensure we saw the whales that were shortly in the distance.
Once again I could not recommend this place enough for a helicopter flight.

Whale watching by helicopter We went for a half hour Fraser Island tour because the whale watching tour boats had shut down. Nathan took us for a quick helicopter tour of the island and then over the ocean to look for whales. They were pretty scarce but Nathan was able to find us two adults and a calf. The helicopter ride itself would have been an experience but seeing the whales made it perfect! Thanks Nathan!

What an experience we had this morning. Did the Fraser Island tour and was looked after by Amy for the booking and Nathan for the flight. Their service was friendly but professional and saw some amazing sights across Fraser Island including a whale and calf sighting. This was our first ever helicopter flight and we felt so safe in Nathan's hands. Great Experience. Highly recommended.

It was bit dreary early today, and kind of worried about the weather.

I was lucky enough to experience a wonderful heli flight for two over K’gari for my birthday last week and I highly recommend these guys to show you how beautiful & amazing this place is from the air. Took a 25 minute flight and while the weather wasn't perfect we had a great time. Nathan and Aimee were fabulous. Nathan was very informative on the flight and Aimee welcomed us with a huge smile and bubbly personality.

We booked our flight with a days notice and Aimee was so helpful and friendly making sure all our needs were met. We had come back from Fraser Island wanting to see the whales from the sky as oppose to Fraser Island itself- Aimee tailored a flight to suit us perfectly at no extra cost to the ones advertised. Nathan piloted the flight and was excellent. He explained everything we saw and could answer all our questions.

Nathan then took us over Fraser and tailored our trip so that we’d spot some whales (which we requested prior to our flight). We couldn’t recommend the experience enough, no matter what time of year. This helicopter trip is MUST DO if traveling to Fraser Island (K’gari) to bring it all into perspective. This helo flight is a must do if you are going to Fraser Island (K’gari).

My teenaged kids and I took the 35minute flight over Fraser taking in Lake McKenzie, Eli Creek, the Maheno wreck, many other lakes, creeks and swap lands and then back from the east coast of Fraser Island over the west coast beaches and back into Hervey Bay.

It was great to view all of that beauty from above after having hired a land cruiser and trekked across those same locations by 4WD on the ground.

Perfect to get the different perspectives.

The operators recommended flying at low tide so we could get a better view of the sand islands and marine life.

Loved it and would do it again. A must do. The team are super friendly. We did the 15 minute flight across the islands, up the coast and back across Hervey Bay. Although I had trouble with my mic, I sat and listened. I would do this again definitely.
